Was anyone else having trouble with the forums? I'd be able to view it normally for the most part, but any posts or PMs would take me to a blank screen. Huh. Everything seems good now, and I'm ready to get back into the swing of things; just happy to see I wasn't the only busy one! I'll have a post after work, so in about 16 hours. Promise!

New Year's party was awesome and now that I got my schedule cleared up some more my poor brain can probably keep up with games better as well so lets celebrate the beginning year with some rpg! :D

Yep! I actually noticed there's not much for Dai-Jin to do until we figure out the team layout of these side missions, so I mostly just posted something to prompt us forward.

Alright, so I'm suggesting we do the latter. Either way, what would we be rolling to support either Kuroi or Soyokaze?

One could still be on the 'front lines' and still support Kuroi's mission. We could know the route the shadow spirit is planning to take to infiltrate and a good battle commander can arrange troops so that the enemy has to concentrate forces and make it easier for Kuroi to get in.

Kuroi has Flight and Insubstantial, so I don't think he needs much help getting in. Of course, once he finds his target, the killing part is where he might need the help. It's ultimately up to all you guys, I'm just giving Yahata's take.

Kuroi has already rolled, and actually he beats the DCs so I-m going to say he goes in alone. The rest of you can roll to aid Soyokaze. You dont eccessarily have to roll his skills, you can give an IC description that justifies the use of a different skill to accomplish the same goal.

Kuroi can go on and narrate the events on his successful mission

I'll be rolling medicine. What skills can they use to roll to assist?

Well, it's not Yahata's best skill, but I feel the most appropriate might just be a straight Fighting check to represent him fending off foes while Soyokaze works. I'll just roll a D20 for now, and add the appropriate bonus based on what Camus agrees on.

Soyokaze Aid: 1D20 = [2] = 2

Oof. If I am using Fighting, that will be +7 for a total of 9, which unfortunately just misses the DC 10 for Team Checks.

1d20: 15 on my end, not sure what skill would be good here that I have, besides also probably a fighting roll to help keep them off his back.

So it looks like all the rolls were done. How do we put this in story form?

Well despite a embarrassing low roll of combat skill from the god of combat, Soyokaze is successful. You can go on and narrate the events of the three of you managing to repel an invading squadron of Imagawa soldiers and delivering the aid in time to save the wall.
