Still, that was pretty cold-blooded....Doctor Malsyn wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2017 11:29 pmI'm sure they'll be fine. She was carrying two unconscious students that she just tossed aside according to the narrative. The hoodie is small potatoes.
But I should probably edit that so that she hands them off to other kids to take inside.

May they never cease.
Just an FYI to everyone. I'm a free free-style GM, so i don't have pages of notes and the like. If you do spot an inconsistency, please let me know. I'll either correct it, or roll with it. I prefer the rule of cool and dramatic action over bogging everything down with super specifics, especially outside of combat. In combat I prefer to keep mechanics pretty tight, but I'm flexible enough to let people try crazy shit because rule of cool.
End of the day, I'm more interested in a cool story with you guys. If I'm dumping on your characters and making life difficult for them, it's for the greater story and you can put money on there being something following it up to make them feel like badasses.
Anyways, hope you guys are enjoying things so far, and yeah, feel free to populate the school with NPC students and stuff your characters might know like Aggie and Eddie. They may or may not show up often, but they exist. Helps make the school feel more populated and alive after all.

Oh man, pulling the dad card on her? Charles takes no prisoners.
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

I hadn't realized Wally would be so much of a drama queen.

Hhe. I had ideas for if the students disregarded him, sooooo, s'all cool.
Wally's concerns are funny too, about worrying whether Xavier is in his head all the time. Charles has much more important things to do in general, he was just sweeping through the students minds to dissuade people from retaliating recklessly.

Yup, but it's a good way to keep him in check! He'd get in to WAY more trouble otherwise.

Ana's moment of glory will probably end before it even has a chance to shine, and I can't help but laugh. Oh dice, you make this game so much more interesting.

I finished the post and then said "eff it!"
What would I want to read in a comic or see in a movie? Kids hanging out on a roof doing what Prof X says? Or going out and kicking some add?
So I edited..

And now Wally can come to 'save' you all and not be disobeying Xavier.

If he notices Robbie went all maverick that is. :p Wally placed out pretty quick. Gelignite will probably go with Robbie though.Flynnarrel wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2017 11:51 pm And now Wally can come to 'save' you all and not be disobeying Xavier.
Yaaaaaaaaaas.
Like I'd said, nothing was actually stopping you from disobeying. And don't worry about Storm. You may or may not leans why she doesn't just windwall you.
Long story short, Xavier asked you guys not to go because it's what he would do, not because I am trying in any way to railroad the plot. I'll get a post up after work to respond to Robbie, Ana and Kevin. Wally and Brittney as well if they get posts in before then.
Frankly, I'm surprised it was Robbie and not Wally tha6 decided to yolo on this.

Robbie's not in a new country (Visa status still unknown) and literally having no place to go where he doesn't know anyone. (The irony of the guy with nearly unlimited options of freedom to travel having no place to go is pretty freakin' phenomenal.)

That is a very fair point, and indeed the irony is quite humorous.Flynnarrel wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 2:00 am Robbie's not in a new country (Visa status still unknown) and literally having no place to go where he doesn't know anyone.
