StarGuard wrote: Thu Jul 27, 2017 1:41 am Eight builds really hit the spirit of the campaign concept on the nose. I might ask for a tweak but none of which I have issues with the builds. Even the five that didn't quite hit the campaign beats as well were good characters and builds. The following is what I feel is my ability to handle for my first PbP as GM in four years. Actually it's more than I planned, so if you're in, expect some "homework", I'm going to ask for some unusual input from time to time.

CaptainChaos: Miss America
Todosker: Plan A
Zero Prime: Jaguar
Miss Ro: Red Nova
Epic: Hilda
Hero4hire: Hybrid

First bit of business. I want confirmation from those above that they are in. If you change your mind because I've taken so long I understand.

Second but if business. Start a thread formatted like this
Hybrid: Five Years Later
In that thread, it's the anniversary of the attack on New York this weekend. Create a setting in a downtown environment (parade, festival, museum, work place, etc) Any place with lots of people. Give us your thoughts (not a book please but more than three sentences :)) on the world since the attack and what you feel your place is in it at this moment.

You don't know it yet, but your life is about to change drastically ... Are you ready for what is to come?
I'm still down to clown, thanks for the congrats everyone! I'm excited to be a part of this.

So, uh, are we just gonna create 6 new threads on the Gaming Table board? I just want to clarify what the plan is before I go ahead with anything.

Very much looking forward to this! Heading into the office shortly, and then my son's ball game tonight. However, I plan on having Jaguar's 5 Years Later thread up tonight, or possibly tomorrow morning.

Thank you once again!

EE and CC have responded to me in PM so unofficially I think that's everyone voting yes

For those who have responded and are ready post your characters "opening scene" anytime. Those who do I will work on Sunday sober if possible. Consider this your pre-Avengers/Defenders movie. They all will have common elements but your responses will be different in most cases I'm sure. Have fun with it :D I wouldn't get overly "cute" this campaign. Will be mostly Blockbuster flavor with a touch of Netflix running in the background ;)

I am going to ask for some board members to play with us as special guest stars from time to time. I hope it creates a unique experience for all of us.

Damn. Nice start Miss Ro.

Some housekeeping after reading Miss Ro's opening scene. For consistency I would like to see the following format used when posting.

Beside the obvious tracker for HP, LP and Condition ...

Quotes with standard character speech "Joe said blah blah."
Italics for internal dialogue If only I could say what I was thinking
Brackets for Telepathy communication <"Yes Professor. The team is assembled.">

If one likes using color to further delineate the differences, go for it :)

I'm glad you liked it! :)
I tend to bold my character's speech and internal monologue, for my own preference more then anything. Is that OK?

And posted. Not quite as lengthy as MissRo or T0DO (hot damn you guys... >_<), but hopefully it hits the notes you're looking for.

Yah no kidding I started welling up by the second name (Me, my uncles and two grandfathers are all ex-military both gramps WWII, and sacrifice for others means a lot to me, so you can guess how I feel about what happened to the First Responders and 911 :x )

Really looking forward to the others as weekend approaches.

Jaguar's is up and done. Let me know what you think, but I feel like it sets the tone and gives you some hooks.

And yeah, I had to dig deep to try to evoke feels as well as Ro, so I tried to go for the energy of a crowd. Hopefully it works!
