I dunno man, light sensitivity could be a hindrance. But seeing where we're going you might be helpful :P
Cool, that's why I got Penumbra as a cantrip =)
Protective Penumbra is a second level spell.

Doesn't show a book reference. And the 0 level spell is not on the official reference documents. Please read the first post for what books are allowed. Also add Ultimate Campaign and Ultimate Equipment, as that's just a recent addition :P

There's an alternate race feature that reduces dark vision but removes light sensitivity.

Honestly, I'm thinking of doing a soft reboot of recruiting. Same game, but having everyone resubmit their character sheets and reviewing every sheet with a critical eye. I don't want to seem like one of those tyrannical GMs, but I should have kept a closer eye on it.

I dont see the point, what's keeping you from reviewing the characters with a critical eye?

Never realized just how used to all the various material I was until I had to rework things to fit within the required books.

Adaptable Luck is from Advanced Race Guide. Also, it makes you lose your Halfling Luck, which really makes me really question your saves now.

Can you make your Arcane School Transmutation (Enhancement)? I eventually found it, but it was a hassle trying to figure out how you were doing Enchantment :P

OK, these items were bought before I clarified buying rules. I didn't think anyone would craft, so I skimmed right over this. The most you can craft is 1000, which equals up to 2000. The Headband, Cloak, and Bracers are over limit. The Cloak and the Bracers are easily bought down to +1 and will save you 2000. Unfortunately, the Headband will have to go.

If I'm correct, the crafting of the Headband, Cloak, and Bracers equal up to 6000 through crafting. How'd you afford the rest?

Seeing as Kabbak has Handle Animal, I'm assuming he trained the dog. Correct?

History:
Kabbak's father was a strange duck, so far as Orcs go. Highly intelligent, uninterested in combat, with a knack for brewing.

Against all odds the Orc moved into a small town, built a tavern by his own hand, and successfully ran it. While most cared little for his heritage, it was hard to argue with the quality of his work, specifically his ale. Eventually this skill caught the attention of the local Wizard who bothered him constantly for his expertise on brewing for her own potion making efforts.

A few years later the tavern had expanded to include a workshop for the wizard, and a home for their new family to live.

But while Kabbak's father had been able to weather the slings and arrows of the local's dislike (and none were brave enough to offend a wizard), Kabback was an easy victim for their ire. Nasty comments, and being refused at the local businesses were the most minor of the issues he dealt with. The local kids took great pleasure in harrassing and attacking him just for being different.

Kabbak took it quietly, harboring a greater and greater resentment for the locals. But he wouldn't do anything that would get him into trouble with his parents.

Until his sister was born. The first time somebody attempted to hurt his little sister all those years of pain and resentment burst loose in a haze of rage.

For a few years they got by without too much trouble, most of the kids learned to keep away from Kabbak, but there was always another kid who thought he was tougher, or had more friends. And as Kabbak got older the issues got worse, because when he sent the kids packing it stopped being with bumps and scrapes, and started to be black eyes, bloody lips and ugly looking bruises.

His parents could see disaster coming. Regardless of who was to blame eventually somebody would get hurt and the locals would come looking for blood.

They sent Kabbak to live with Grady Shanks. As he'd never shown any interest in his parent's vocations, they hoped that he might learn his skills from Grady and learn to be a woodsman and a ranger.

He took quickly to living in the forest away from humanity, to hunting, tracking, and learning of the wild. But Kabbak always felt empty and hollow, that something was lacking. He craved the fights from his youth. Eventually, with his training largely complete, he packed his kit and moved away to join a mercenary group.

For years he found joy in battle, a sense of fulfillment and power. But eventually the death and killing took their toll on him, the lost friends, the near misses, and the fact that he did all of this for a mere pittance.

Moving back he rebuilt his ties with Grady, living as hunter and a hermit. Grady, not willing to let Kabbak hide from the world, started bringing one of the local kids to train as a woodsman with Kabbak.

At first it was hard to find anybody willing to even give the huge half-orc a chance. Most of the kids found him terrifying at sight with his grey skin, and scars. But as the first few students spent time with him the stories started spreading, and eventually Kabbak and his hunting dog Trebuchet could often be seen leading a small group of children on their latest hunting expedition.

Hooks:
Family: Kabbak is fond of his family, especally protective of his little sister who is no longer quite so little. Gobak, his father, runs a tavern known for it's ale. His mother, Aleein, is a mage who specializes in potions. Aidelle, his younger sister, shows signs of his parent's keen minds and has been training as a mage at her Mother's side.
Apprentices: Kabbak considers Grady's other students to be his friends, even if his sullen solitary nature might not indicate it, and he'd be willing to put himself out of his way to assist them.
Students: Kabbak isn't too fond of adults, they tend to have nasty opinions of him, but he has learned to like children who seem more open minded. Eventually. And thus he's got a soft spot for children, regardless of culture.
Thank you for all of this! I've cooked up a few things reading it.

To be honest, I'm not sweating the Wharrl'Tik as a character. Grown attached to the idea. But you are right, Tengu is not in the approved sources. I might as well allow Advanced Race Guide since it seems most have taken from it.

There. Advanced Race Guide is allowed. But nothing too weird. We already got bird man running around. And, like Ultimate Equipment and Ultimate Campaign, please present me the material first.

Core Rulebook
Advanced Class Guide
Advanced Player's Guide
Advanced Race Guide (barring made up/original races)
Ultimate Campaign
Ultimate Equipment
Ultimate Magic

These are the only books allowed.

I have spoken my peace and counted to three.

PS, Tengu are in Advanced Race Guide, if it need be said :)

Letsseee here.... I won't quote things since thats a huge mass of jumboed text now, but I'll list things by point adressed. ;P

1: Base points are; 0 ¦ -2 ¦ 2 ¦ 13 ¦ 2 ¦ 0
Fourth level advancment is to Int, bringing it up to 18. It was further brought to 20 by the headband, which I'll remove after this once I have to repurchase gear...

The +1 to con is part of her school of magic subschool, which lets yet add a point to any one physical stat. I chose con, because more HP is always good for casters.

2: Funnily, the bonus for Initiaive is noted a few sections below with her Rabbit Familiar. It grants a +4 Iniative bonus.

All bonuses to those saves are Magic from the cloak of restoration, no halfling luck.

That one is a typo, my bad there. Should be ten.

3: Yep.

4: Again, right below with my Familiar special ability I list the feat gained as well as the other junk, but I can Italicize it if needed.

5: Ah, is it? Damn... I musta imagined seeing that on the books allowed along with the other Advanceds.
Edit: Seeing as you're allowing it now, no change needed.

I can do that, sure. I realized I probably shoulda before you even looked over it.

6: Yep.

7: Hrm... Alright, I'll look for something else. It's hard to tell with the spells, they end up so jumbled on online lists.

8: Mhm. Really, surprised I was onky off base with Burning Disarm...

9: 1800 + 1800 + 450 + 1800 = 5850, less then 6k, but I probably did have more gold then I should've... I'll fix that when I reprice gear and such. She had a 55% cost reduction with crafting and her trait.

10: In continuation to the above, I'll go over my equipment again and make adjustments later tonight. Everything else that actually needed fixed I'll do right now...
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

That rabbit and cloak!

Though if you went Int 17 to 18 at level 4, you'd be 3 skill points lower.
