Because it's me running things, expect a lot more from books and less comics and TV and movies. I like the concept, but have tried and failed to get PBP games running before.
No choice. You've been added to the Setting Doc. ;)

The Empire from Star Wars would totally be on board to "to build an alliance of civilizations". The Emperor would be trying to stab everyone in the back later...

The Empire has already attacked the Star Kingdom; they're very much on the naughty list, not the nice one, to the people putting this together.

Although it sadly stagnated, Neo's Cosmic Merge would be a great place to go for a starting point.

Ultimately, whoever you need for your game crossed over and if a source is not important to the context of your game, it's not required.

Here are some snippets from that game:
Neo-Paladin;171729 wrote:Space Station Citadel

It has been six months since the event that would eventually be known as The Merge - that monumental moment when hundreds, if not thousands, of universes crashed together.

Millions of new planets, species and creatures suddenly found themselves displaced, stranded in a universe that had not known them before. Of course, in many cases, panic ruled as supply routes were shattered and warlike species met in unfamiliar terrain.

Only the size of the galaxy has so far prevented all-out warfare. But everyone knows that it will only be a matter of time....

Which is why, in a monumental effort, the remnants of several large governing organizations at home in the Milky Way, have agreed to come together and form an alliance.

As one of the largest space stations, the Citadel, center of the former Galactic Council, has been chosen as the meeting place for representatives from nearly all galactic civilizations. Skrull, Kree, Klingons, members of the Federation of Planets...the number of ships and governments they represent is truly staggering.

The station is bursting with life of all kinds as ship's crews mingle and the representatives prepare for the beginning of the Galactic Peace Summit.

Many opportunistic visitors and lawkeepers fill the station, seeking either fame and fortune or wanting to ensure that everything runs according to plan...
Neo-Paladin;175852 wrote:And so, you make your way to the summit, whichis supposed to take place in the tower of the citadel, former home of the Galactic Council.

Of course, in order for the summit, to actually take place, some adjustments had to be made to the place. Whereas there were a few gardens and a larger chamber for meetings is now an amphitheater-like structure. Apparently, the upper levels of the tower had to be gutted to make room for this special chamber.

...A large, red-skinned and one-eyed being is talking to what seems like an equally muscular human with a truly spectacular mustache...

...A human man whose head is half encased in snaking implants and whose deep blue livery bears the sign of an upturned Omega symbol looks around, distinctly uncomfortable, every now and then glaring towards a group of nearly bald, blue-skinned aliens,

...An imposing man whose very smile lits up the room is chatting with a group of asari. He wears somewhat antiquated-looking armor.

...A group that stands apart seems to consist of humans in long, flowing robes, but they clearly seem to consider themselves superior to their surroundings (Kyra can actually identifiy President Rassilon among them)...

...A klingon involved in a heated discussion/argument with a skrull...

...A thing looking like a weird cross between a spider, a human and a lobster is apparently bent on devouring the contents of the buffet....

...A tall Twi'lek nearly tripping over himself as he hurries down the stairs, nearly bumping into the same bald man you have seen on the screen...
..
And the Borg are out there too, sans Queen

from http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... Federation:

Not 100% sure which fandoms exist here in the Merge but I'll list some likely ones, see site for more comprehensive list.

The Shadow Proclamation from Doctor Who. They are rarely seen on screen, but their laws are often enforced by the Doctor.
A Federation of sorts forms in Stargate Atlantis comprised of the various societies the Atlantis expedition had visited in their travels.
The Twelve Colonies of Kobol in Battlestar Galactica.
The Anglo-Sino Alliance in Firefly is an malevolent version (though the main POV characters were part of a group that lost to the Alliance ... still, we see some things with our own eyes that would justify a response of "pragmatic and ruthless" at best).
The Systems Commonwealth in Andromeda. It was originally the Vedran Empire prior to reforms.
The Peacekeepers from Farscape. Though they are Space Nazis.
The Terran Federation from Starship Troopers.
The Last Starfighter has the Star League.
Several in the Gundam series.
Autobots of Cybertron

Also, The Lantern Corps from DC.
The Shi'ar Empire (or Imperium) also called the Aerie, is a vast collection of alien species, cultures, and worlds from Marvel. They've even worked with the Kree and Skrull Empires before when a threat has been big enough (Crisis Crossovers).

Then, Alliances can form. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheAlliance

Cycles Upon Cycles: The Terran, Zerg, and Protoss banded together into this at the beginning of the story. Later on, the Quarians, the Krogan, and the Geth are brought in as their respective protectorates.
United Nations Space Command (UNSC) from Halo had teamed up with the Covenant and even The Flood on occasion (though that didn't end well).
From Babylon 5, there's the Interstellar Alliance, formed after the Shadow Threat was ended, made up of most of the League of Non-Aligned Worlds and several major powers. The human government is the Earth Alliance, formed of several Earth nation-states, including the Russian Consortium and the Central African Bloc.
The Tau'ri, Tok'ra, and Jaffa alliance against the Goa'uld in Stargate SG-1.
In the book series Star Trek: Typhon Pact, many of the second-tier powers form their own alliance. After the Borg War, featuring the end of the Borg, the Federation and the Klingons were severely weakened. The Romulans, Breen, Gorn, Tholians, Kinshaya and Tzenkethi, having seen the value in cooperation during the desperate conflict, formed the Typhon Pact to become the new superpower. And then the Federation and Klingon Empire react to that by extending the Khitomer Accords (the Federation/Klingon treaty) to the Ferengi Alliance and Cardassian Union (and a breakaway Romulan state, but it got reabsorbed before it could join).
The Tau Empire from Warhammer 40,000, comprising the Tau, Kroot - though these are technically mercenaries with no ideological interest - Vespid, Gue'Vesa, Nicassar and Demiurg.
Mass Effect has the Citadel Council, run by the the Asari, the Turians and the Salarians, with Humanity getting the fourth seat at the end of the first game.
The Alliance of Free Stars in Star Control.

Good luck!

Gonna move us forward today. :D

Oh, and IIRC, the Daleks are out there - locked in battle with Viltrumites. (Not relevant to Omega Company, just an added note to the semi-thread-sabotaging discussion. ;) )

Given that Rand still looks like McKay he wouldn't be offended if the 'sizing up' doesn't go well. :)

Heh. Amy does have some pretty good reasons for wanting a room mate at the moment. Chief of which, she's still very on edge from the entire predator thing.

I recalculated Amy's power array in Hero Lab and found that she had PP 26 instead of 25, so I took off the Deflection and made her Move object power shapeable area precise.

If it's okay with you guys, next time we get awarded power points, I might add those senses to her power array. This way though with the powerstunts, it adds a bit of roleplaying flair for her to discover what they are and how to really use them.
