The young agent nods in easy agreement, having learned to let the perp talk, while trying to suss out if they are telling the truth or not and then why for both reasons. The Columbo method was a tried and true way of dealing with suspects and could be tweeked to fit the situation. Her instructors recommended it, though it could be tricky to pull off.

Aislynn can hear some strange noises from further ahead and down the corridor. It sounds like heavy boots...and the discharge of what sounds like a...silenced energy weapon?
