One went down and the whole operation went on alert. A fusillade(?) of energy bolts shot out in the direction of the interloping heroes. Over com, in a few different languages, "this is not a drill, we have company. Hold them off. Back up plan is en route."
DR.IMPOSSIBLE
HP-1 CND-fine MASTER PLAN-Operation:Blitz(1 of 4 +2) INITIATIVE #--21

Easily reacting to the fusillade(ooc:you had it spelled right! :)) of energy bolts fired at them(he HONESTLY hadn't expected them to surrender. It would've been a nice change of pace mind, but still...), the Good(Mad?) Doctor easily moved out of the heaviest shots(his "Impossible Shield" easily absorbing the rest) as he re-commendered their transmissions again

The Thunderer
Condition: 1 Injury Normal HP: 1

The Thunderer raises an arm, blocking the blast with his arm. He raises an eyebrow at the small burn and the smoke that wafts off his arm.

With a smirk he lands in front of the door, takes a quick step and attempts to kick the doors open.
OOC: Ref save vs DC 16, Toughness vs DC 18/21: 1d20+4 18 1d20+12 16
Success on Reflex, failure by 1 degree on Toughness.

Power attack +5 on Door, with bonus from Master Plan: 1d20+5 14
I believe the door is facing a DC32 toughness save.

Flamebird
HP: 1
Reflex save: 1d20+8: 20 [1d20=12] https://orokos.com/roll/881023
Flamebird easily dodged the incoming weapons fire, this time. If only Dr. Impossible had waited just a little longer to provoke the guards. No time to dwell on that now. Her goal was to get near or in the volcano. She really hoped the enemy had a secret lair inside the volcano. She always wanted to go inside a secret volcano lair.

There was a guard within range so she unleashed a fire bolt towards them just for fun.
Fire bolt attack: 1d20+8: 11 [1d20=3] DC23 if that hits.

Orphan, aka Talia Taylor
Toughness: +10 | Fortitude: +10 | Reflex: +6 | Will: +4
Active Effects: Enhanced Strength 10 (30 (+10)); Variable 1 (Investigation 10 (+12), Sense Motive 10 (+10))
Condition: Normal.

Talia followed Alexa and the broad shouldered man as they led them deeper into the night club, however, as she progressed through the building she pinged their location on Salvo's GPS, so he would be aware of their location on the interior. She watched as Alexa effortlessly scanned the room, presumably with her telepathic abilities, before greeting their hostess, Asleigh X. The two women's greeting seemed cool, even to the android, concerned, she began to scan the room looking for any obvious threats, whether armed personnel, or automated defenses.

However, as Alexa volunteered Talia to share a drink with Ashleigh X, the android put on her best vapid, social media affectations, and replied with, "Ohmigawd! What are you mixing for us?!? So excited to be here! Totes besties, ya?!" She picked up her cell, and snapped a picture of the three of them, "#Superfriends!"

Salvo HP 3 Condition: watchful

Salvo kept an eye out for trouble idly wondering where the alien was, probably investigating important clues, he guessed.

ASSAULT TEAM

Thunderer's foot was expecting to meet a fully steel door. And while it was metal, it was a not a foot thick or anything like that. You'd think they'd spring for better security than that, right?

Inside, workers scatter around. Though some stop and stare at the handsome hero. If just for a moment, then catching their common sense to continue running. This place looks like a storage area. Packages, large and small, line the warehouse.

Finally, some energy bolts shoot out as more guards arrive. "Keep them busy, keep them busy!"
Miracle wrote:I would say it's a free action to open a door like that. But I don't make the rules. Or do I?

Anyways, Notice check.
Flamebird, being distracted at the thought of a volcano lair, puts the guard's existence in the conscious a little bit longer. If this weren't a full on battlefield at the moment, he'd sigh in relief.
Miracle wrote:Unfortunately 11 does not hit 16. But taking 10 against Minions for now is a thing. Next time, maybe.

Your initiative will drop to five since you delayed your action.

It's back to the top, Dr Impossible's turn

INFILTRATION TEAM

Psychic interference be damned, Alexa's mind scans bring out very little. The people in the room like the music. The decoys are mind blanked. The guards are wary about the new visitors. It's as if everyone is on autopilot. Ashleigh X seems a bit unnerved by the sudden mind shift. Even if she doesn't notice her mind being dug through, it's like she was expecting it.
Miracle wrote:One more Sense Motive, at a -5.
Talia's robotic senses were precise enough to notice the crowd seemed to be going through the motions. While not impossible robotically perfect, it did seem kind of hive mind in here.

HP-1 CND-fine MASTER PLAN--Operation:Blitz(2 of 4-+2) INITIATIVE #--21

The Heroic Scientist will again switch to wideband radio and start playing Swing songs as loud as possible, starting with Royal Crown Reviews' "Hey Pachuco" as he'll start peppering the Gun Emplacements with shot's of purplish-blue energy....

Steadfast (Assault Team)

Michelle continued to hang nearly motionless in the air, back near the spot where they had "arrived". As Dr. Impossible started his music, she sighed and twitched the volume on her commlink up a notch- she was focused on her task as Overwatch, keeping an eye out in case one of her teammates got into trouble, or in case enemy reinforcements arrived.

But she knew there was another team on the island as well, undercover, and now that all heck was breaking loose, they might get into trouble as well, and the Watchtower would surely route those calls through as well.

The Thunderer
Condition: 1 Injury Normal HP: 1

The Thunderer pauses at the doorway, frowning.

"Ah," He says before planting his fists on his hips and raising his voice, "Apologies criminal scum. I meant to kick in the door with a humorous witticism to help add some amusement to what is about to be a very bad day."

Noting the almost flock, or hive mentality that seemed to be occuring, Talia felt the need to inform her team, however, she did not want to draw attention to the fact she was aware of the situation, incase it further agitated their host, causing her to harm the thralls. Instead she sent a text to Salvo's device, 'Crowd & observers acting with a flock mentality, crowds and guards may be under mental influence or control. Non lethal takedowns recommended should such action be warranted.'

After finishing her drink, she tried to vapidly mimic the movements of the crowd, as though she, too, were part of the collective.

Infiltration Team Marlyssa Xenos
HP : 1, now 0; fatigued

Realizing that these guards hit MUCH harder than she was expecting, she willed the fog out of her head (spending last HP to cancel Daze).

Now, all she had to do was get out of there !

She tried a stunt her grandmother had told her about the last time she was home so long ago - blinding cloud.
Using extra effort to fire off a Visual Dazzle 8 (Close -1, Cloud Area +1, Fades -1) from Waxworks.
Not caring whether it worked or not (or wasting much time to see), Marlyssa fired up her wings to fly away from the guards as fast as she could.

INFILTRATION TEAM

Xenos

The two guards reluctantly inhale the full lot of whatever came from the bug woman's anatomy. They were unprepared for what they saw or inhaled or both. Luckily their physical profiles being that of well-taken-care-of, seem to ignore the stinging in their eyes. Seeing Marlyssa take off in the direction she went, the unarmed guard touched his earpiece once more. "Yeah, code Iota-52. The bug woman does not have proper credentials. Stop her before she gets out of here. We need to grill her on what she knows."

Lookout

Sharp as ever, Alexa got the feeling that Ashleigh X was not saying what she meant. She didn't seem in danger, but duress. She seems to be maintaining the peaceful façade better than Alexa knew her to be able to do so. Her mind wasn't tampered with either.
