Everyone

Tony Snarls as the wave of raw force rolls over him but the vibrations do no harm to him and his answering growl shakes the ground nearly as much as Blurs attack did.

Thomas Lifts off and with practiced ease sends a series of golden rings at Binder, the red clad villain working feverishly at the controls only sees them at the last second but not in time to escape their grasp. He cries out in shock and falls to one side wrapped in the binding spell.

"No Dammit!! Let me go I have to finish!!" He howls desperately futilely reaching for the controls of the silver machine which starts to ominously hum in a low vibrato which causes the lava to bubble and boil faster around it.

As Thomas's spell takes effect he does notice one detail that had slipped his mind at the last moment, it was nagging at him ever since he arrived here but now as he floats over head he can "Feel" something his senses are trying to tell him. The enormous surge of power emanating from the Volcano itself is more then just the primal power of nature.

Its a Ley Line Nexus. the source of at least four enormous lines of power that extend well past the horizon and beyond. Lines that if the glyphs and warnings of the walls he passed are true could have disastrous consequences if unleashed at full power.

Ill do a quick roll for shadow till hes ready

Dragonfyres dodge check _: 1D20+9 = [9]+9 = 18
that's a fal by 2 for the DC 25 his toughness check _: 1D20+13 = [15]+13 = 28
giggle snort nope.

Ok Everyone made it through that no sweat.

Thomas mystic bindings hit Binders Dodge check _: 1D20+10 = [3]+10 = 13
is a fail by 7 and 2 degrees rendering him defenseless and immobile

”You will not find me easily crushed.” she retorts in challange, ”Behold the Light!”

The crystals in her skin flare as she makes a sweeping gesture with her hand, and a blinding light flashes amongst the assembled villians.
Hit the middle of the group of bad guys with Light Flare – Burst Area Affliction 11, Resisted by dodge, overcome by Fortitude, Impaired/Disabled/Unaware, Limited to one sense – Visual)

Everyone

The brilliant orb of light shoots out into the middle of the super villains and then flares into an orb of blinding luminescence that causes all of the Ulimtates to yowl in pain at the sudden intense burst of light. Though they scatter or duck their heads as best they can the light is too fast and intense and they all stagger around blinking spots and tears out of their eyes.

Dust Devil blindly and unwisely fires a blast of hard air at where he thinks you are but Blur staggers into his line of fire and takes the brunt of the blast in the chest with an audible OOMPH which then sends him flying away for a rough landing somewhere down the volcanos side.

Kelvin and Dust Devil both succeed they resist at DC 15 _: 1D20+8 = [6]+8 = 14

the Ultimates luck holds true and all of them are blinded for a round BWAHAHAHAHAH

hmm lets see 1-3 its one of you guys 4-6 its an ulimtate _: 1D6 = [4] = 4

He blasts one of the others eany meany miney Blur _: 1D20+10 = [3]+10 = 13
that's a fail by 7 and 2 degrees leaving Blur bruised x1 and dazed and Blur is flung a good 200 feet away where he bounces and tumbles down the volcanos side a bit.

Amid all the various attacks already sent between the two groups, the tiny hero manages to make his way to Binder's machine where Hornet begins to figure out the basic workings of it while his allies keep the Ultimates busy.

Everyone

As hornet works frantically he manages to suss out the devices functions as some sort of energy tap, but the energy its tapping is a bit odd, hes never to his recollection seen the wave length involved, theres also a geothermal energy source that the machine was keeping in check and balanced but which is now shifting dangerously into the red zone of the warning meter on the machine.

Meanwhile Blackstar still trying to see anything but spots and more spots increases his density causing him to leave massive foot prints in the side of the mountain. He rushes forward to where he last saw Dragonfyre and takes a wild swing which misses because tony is no longer anywhere near him.

Kelvin also tries a blind shot to where Shock was but the electric hero may as well have been on a different island as the blast misses completely.

30 is damned solid and you do figure out the workings of the device easily. Binder is a genius and youre on his level at least.

The Device is tapping the enormous power of an energy source below the volcano but its not an energy source youre familiar with in the conventional sense.

the device is meant to tap the source and absorb it then contain it into a matrix for further use. its also moitoring a build up of another energy source of geothermal nature as well. Binder was trying to balance the two out it looks like when Thomas bound him hehe.



Blackstar will increase his density to about a 12 strength and toughness, rumble up and try to squish Dragonfyre blind_: 1D20+ 8 = [13]+8 = 21
abd hes visually disabled so that's a no go

Kelvin will try to freeze Shock _: 1D20+10 = [6]+10 = 16
misses badly no joy there and he's blinded anyways

...mine...Mine...MINE!!! With every heartbeat, the single thought resonates through Tony's head...through his soul. It drives him. It goads him. It burns him with a fire that is brighter than any he could produce. They are taking it...they are trying to take it. Something that isn't theirs...that doesn't belong to them. Something...something that belonged to HIM!

Shaking off the whirlwind as if it was summer breeze, Dragonfyre does a quick downbeat of his wings to easily avoid blackstar's hasty rush. At the apex of the surge, Tony puffs up as if to roar again. As if he was going to roar and unleash the very fires of creation. Only to snap his wings close, using the burst of energy to missile him into a short, directed stoop into the pulsing Blackstar.
OK, he's going to divebomb Blackstar and his Dragonside is driving. That means he is going to attack like a dragon, with his taloned hands: Dragon strike! Taloned Hit(Unarmed): 1D20+9 = [18]+9 = 27
...damn. That should be a solid hit with a DC28.

The only warning Blackstar has as his vision begins clearing is the pressure wave, and heat that precedes Dragonfyres scaled form before hes viciously mauled by the young dragon. the impact and subsequent beatdown sends Blackstar tumbling backwards despite his increased mass causing him to leave an impact crater and seven foot long divot in the side of the volcano.

That's a straight up hit

Blackstars toughness check _: 1D20+12 = [9]+12 = 21
fail by 7 leaves him dazed and bruised x1 and knocked on his arse.

That brings us to Photon :)

Dust Devil hears the taunt and instead of dodging turns to Photon and raises a fist as if to start on a tirade about how much he doesn't suck. As he does though Collin simply readjusts his aim and lets fly with a blast that slams into the air controller like a freight train.

"Man that blows..." Dust Devil slurs as he teeters for a moment before collapsing like so much dead weight.

Thunderbolt again fires a blast of lightning blind in an attempt to hit Tony but Shock steps in front of his teammate and deflects the blast with one hand almost casually.

"You've got to regulate it hurry or itll wake up!!" Binder screams almost in a panic as he struggles against the mystic bindings that hold him tight.

Normally that would miss but as hes blinded so its a hit

Dust Devils tougnhness save _: 1D20+ 10 = [1]+10 = 11
:shock: :shock: mmmm yeah hes out moron dived right into the line of fire.

Thunderbolt will zap tony _: 1D20+10 = [10]+10 = 20
but the blind penalty causes a miss.

Kelvin is just clearing the spots out of his eyes when the flame and ice covered villain is struck squarely by Shock. Electricity arcs over the dual natured villain and combines for a colorful blast of steam that clears away and leaves him unconscious on the ground with sparks and electric crackling coming off his body.

That hits nicely Kelvins toughness save _: 1D20+12 = [1]+12 = 13

While the others turned their concerns to the machine, Prism, still hovering over the battlefield turns her eye to the loud mouthed Blackstar still reeling from the dragon's impact. Gems flash and light ripples through her hair as she aims open palms at the dense villain and unleashes a fierce blast of energy.

Everyone

Thomas works furiously to as he and Hornet adjust controls and push buttons and flip switches, but both men quickly come to one conclusion, theyre just a little too late. Like a pipe where water has built up the pressures become too much, and the best they can do is ease the release to keep it from exploding.

But whatever Binder was talking about Thomas can feel the Entity shifting as it comes to sentience, feel it through the connection it shares with the aethyr.

Its coming and its not happy.

Prism meanwhile tries to remove one of the tougher Ultimates from the fight her powerful blast slams into Blackstar and leaves a scorch mark along the ground as it does but Black Stars super dense form despite having taken a hit from Dragonfyre proves equal to the task as he shows little damage.

"Nice try sparkles But I'm the toughest man in the world!" He snaps back his voice full of braggadocio.

Oooook and here we gooooo!

Thomas roll is solid it helps to slow the process every so slightly however its almost too far gone now IT is waking up

Prism hits no sweat his toughness save _: 1D20+13 = [18]+13 = 31
right on the nose even with a bruise he takes no damage
