Mel's been on borrowed time for a bit now which is partly why she is pushing for a quick retreat. I have a few late night calls, so won't get another ic post up until tommorow. So you can assume she conveys the info.

I'll give MelonLord until the 18th, Friday, to get a post in. At that point I'll assume Maryanne moves Anika into the car and we will begin the next round.

When was Jaime hit? I only see Russell being hit.

Maybe the underlined portion tripped you up, and your brain skipped the second sentence there. In any case, Jamie was not hit this round.

Right now Jamie and Mel can easily make it to the car. Russel is in a bad spot though, and will need help in some way. So you can ditch Russel, someone can try to carry him (Strength check may be necessary, and picking him up would be a Move Action), or you can try to counter the flanking maneuver the Antagonists are performing. At least to delay it anyway.

If you go the delay route, I'll give Russel the option of spending 2 HP in one round to get ride of his Exhaustion/Fatigue. Then he could use a HP for Instant Up or use Extra Effort. That'll allow him to get up and cover the 60ish feet to the car.

Honestly, I vote you ditch Russel. I'm not enjoying playing him and I'm not connecting to this game enough to be useful in anything I've done. It has been more stressful than enjoyable for me.

Sakuro, is there a way Russel can disrupt their maneuvers by grappling one of the soldiers? He can then shoot himself in the head when the others are getting away. (but still in sight of them so they don't have to worry about trying to mount a rescue)

Please don't think I propose this lightly. Seeing things through to the end is a core value to me. But something about this game and I has not been compatible since the beginning though you guys have been doing wonderfully.

Since you are sacrificing a heroic character to save the rest of the party, yes. Russel can perform a one man delay that will allow the others to get away. As it is also your exit from the game, if you want to make one final post, we can skip the turn order and go pure narrative. Tell us how Russel makes his stand and buys the others time to get away. Forget grappling one guy, he can do a suicide grenade grab from one of the enemies if you want. You can get cinematic and a little over the top with the narrative if you like.

Mel and Jamie may get a post in to react to what has happened, then I'll narrate your departure … minus Rodney and Russel.

Sorry for the delay. Had a chance for tabletop gaming on Saturday so I took it. Sunday I did too much yardwork and fell asleep early.

Jamie and Maryanne may make Expertise Hadron City checks to Aid Mel. I don't want a roll alone though. Tell me how you Aid Mel. Do you brainstorm ideas? Do you draw a map on the floor of the city using, whatever you can find in the alley, so as to have a visual reference?
