If MelonLord does not get a post in by midnight tonight (PST), I will move Maryanne to the end of the Initiative order and post actions for the antagonists..

There's not much else of tactical use Maryanne can really do right now, actually, so she's going to delay her turn until after antagonists #1 and #2 (putting her new initiative position alongside Russel).

Sorry for the post delay. Work. Ugh.

So when arriving or just looking out the window before going off to bed, did Mel see any fire escape stairs on the apartment building accessible from the apartment?

Thinking about an exit? Good idea.

There is no fire escape nor balcony to easily make use of. There is an apartment window directly under Rodney's window. You might be able to swing into it, though it would require some Athletics or Acrobatics check and you'd be breaking through glass. The street is in the around 30 feet below. Mel and Jamie, at least, have Leaping 1.

Hmm ok so I don't cock up the rules again leaping would give 15 feet and acrobatics would allow for blunting some damage right?

Just don't roll a 1 on Acrobatics and Mel won't have to worry about rolling for damage. Otherwise it'd be a DC 17 Toughness check

All the uncool kids are doing it. Russel's rolled many 1s.

Which roll site, might need to find a new one for any crucial roll if the escape idea works out.

Stupid smart android keyboard. It makes more typos than it saves.

Russel went Unconscious with 1 HP and 1 LP left. Jamie is going Unconscious with 3 HP left. Re-rolling Fortitude checks is an option. This is a reminder. If you want your character to go Unconscious, and save your HP/LP, alright. It is too late for Russel to do any re-rolls at this point, though I'll give CaptainChaos until the end of the day to let me know if they want to make any re-rolls, or if they are happy with Jamie going Unconscious.

Russel failed 4 in a row, the last 2 were 1s. It is a legit possibility that the drugs in that quantity and dose killed him.

Right. That was such a bad streak of rolls I had blocked it from my memory. With four fails in a row, not even the LP and HP would have saved him if he was at Fatigued. As for death, I'll leave that up to you Flynnarrel. PCs weren't meant to die in this initial encounter. However, if you feel it fitting for this to be Russel's end, then it will be. Maybe that could help inspire the others to stay together rather than go their own ways later.

Should you choose to have Russel die, I'll give you the option of taking over Anika (as a proper PC, not a minion, and if CaptainChaos is cool with it too), Rodney, or making a new character that can come into play later.

EDIT:
Alternatively, if you feel some kind of price needs to be paid for Russel to survive, you may choose to have him permanently loose 1 rank of Luck. He "lucks out".

If Jaime goes down, I am not sure how we'll get him out. Escaping if all of us were able would be a challenge. With Russel, Jaime, and possibly Rodney down it gets interesting.

Would I be able to use more than 1 hero point? For sxample, re-roll the failed fortitude save to avoid going unconscious then use another to go from exhausted to fatigued?
