LoL. Yes, why don't you give us some background on him Spectrum, and see if we can find some way to link him with the current party. Also, what background did you pick for him, and what is his starting equipment?

How much gold is available at this point?

Background is the performer, though folk hero is a close second thought.

Background is pretty simple, not much there yet. He lives for the three Bs in life: brews, brawls and babes.

After all, he is the bro-barian.

Attributes don't seem standard. EE was a stickler for 15,14,13,12,10,8

Starting gear is what you get from your class and background, plus any mundane gear you would reasonably pack with you on your travels, plus 300 gold in whatever format you wish to have it (ie: gems, trade goods, etc)

And yes, I was using standard array for attributes for everyone.

Looks better. So tell us how he came to be the bro-barian he is today.

Still need you guys to collaborate on a backstory where you met prior to meeting again in the present story. :)

Two ideas that come to mind but I'm very open to suggestions:

1. Baern and Kaine met in The Pit as frenmies, good to have on your side but wouldn't call each other friend.

2. The party met Baern (again?) in the Red Dragon Inn, telling tales, drinking brews and getting into a brawl. They know he's good with a tale and a brawl.. just keep him from getting too drunk.

Salazar could have helped him smuggle his beer through lands taken over by an ultra religious group with puritanical notions regarding brews and liquors.

Maybe Salazar helped him find one of the sacred hops in that puritanical nation?

Not sure where you're going with the ingredients side story, but... sure. Salazar is good at getting stuff.

Once, Exile had the desire to visit a tavern to relax after a particularly long hunt. Yet there was this terrible, awful smell that distracted him. Cautiously Exile approached the alley it was coming from, finding this strange beardless Dwarf in a toga, passed out in a puddle of booze. The elf decided from then on to only drink water.

Hah, those all sound interesting.

Even the idea of some sacred brewing ingredients side quest sounds neat.
