Huh, go figure. Added in damage.
Am I dead? Am I alive? The answer may surprise you!

That was my intention, since I presumed our monk would be hitting the last arbalist.

Re: On the road (D&d 5E Recruiting Closed)
oh. oops. I got that wrong. This is one of those things that are harder without face-to-face communication and/or a battle map.
Can Exile's shot be toward the last archer and Kaine's shot be toward one of the ground pirates? Kaine will also need to pick some affects for his Ki infused Flurry strikes. He could even spread the attacks and spread out the effects.
The one Salazar is on is hexed for Dex and Kaine would recognize the swirl that indicates if the pirates moves he'll take more damage so a push effect on him would be cool.

So I need to delete my last post then?EpicEclipse wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 2:28 pmHe is.StarGuard wrote: I don't now why, but I was thinking the second crossbowman was on the opposite roof?
I assume Kaine can’t jump from one roof to the next. In that case he’d just climb/acrobat aka Daredevil across or down to the alley if the former isn’t possible

You can jump your strength score in feet if you take a 10ft runup, which just about makes it if he can catch the edge of the wall then pull himself up with his climb speed. He'd be fine. As a monk he should have more than enough speed to pull it off.

Oh, cool. No big changes then.

Re: On the road (D&d 5E Recruiting Closed)
Changed the post. I assumed it would take his movement and his Action to back up, run, jump, and pull himself up. Leaving his Reaction and Bonus Action? If it’s within the rules he will use them to either dodge or to catch the pirate crossbowmen bolt. Which ever works for EE. Either way I don’t feel the attack sequence is still appropriate.

Re: On the road (D&d 5E Recruiting Closed)
Dodge is an action, not bonus or reaction, so can't do that and also attack. Trying to catch his bolt if he fires one is fine though since that's reaction, but he's not dumb, so wouldn't attempt to fire one in melee anyways.
And the whole process of jumping across and pulling himself up is within a single move action for him.
10ft to move back, 10ft to move back forward for the runup, 10ft for the jump itself, and 5 ft to pull himself up, leaving himself with 5ft to put himself in pummel range of the archer. Being a monk is great for mobility, having a climb speed just really helps.

So with the one Move action Kaine could do the Standard [Staff attack] and Bonus [Unarmed attack or Flurry of blows {needs ki}] you'd rolled earlier.

Not gonna lie, that's a kinda badass image in my head.

Agreed. Especially when the 'pull himself up' was a Kor racial ability to effortlessly free climb like a spider.Doctor Malsyn wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 6:00 am Not gonna lie, that's a kinda badass image in my head.
