"It uses the same tech that our Space Bridges use, but are only useable on the surface of a planet. Not quite a teleporter if you're referencing your Star Trek 'transporter' technology or something similar. More like 'Stargate' or a 'Boom Tube' if you are familiar with those - it opens a portal that folds space. Creates a bridge between two points if you will.
"I can have you extracted if you use this."
He hands Smith - Real Smith - something akin to a Star Trek Communicator in size, except it's the Autobot Logo.
"This was adapted for a human size Transformer - like myself. But works for you as well. Press twice to request a bridge. Three times tells us to ignore any requests until a verbal communication can be established to confirm your identity."
Irons nods.
"Are you looking to head out immediately, or did you want to establish a time? We can determine a safe location where your arrival will not be detected."

"Yeah, we'll be back by again tomorrow. I'll have everything I need in my van and we can drive that through the bridge. Everyone can fit, though a bit cramped." he says first to Irons and Playback, then to those of the group assembled.

Is there anything specific that anyone wants to know or do before moving on... for the record, you are still sort of meant to have a feeling like something is pushing you along...

Amy and Eli find a telephone with a YouTube feed playing, or at least it was playing. The phone is still lit, and has not gone into standby but the clip has finished. Replaying the clip literally only plays the soundbite that you both heard.
