Yeah, I see her as slowly getting herself back together. On her meds, she can function and feel like she's not 6 other people.

Bladewind...care to update me on the League of Supermen? Because right now the name does not ring even a single tiny bell...

OCs of mine, adapted for The Merge settings, they're out there, just not based in San Fransokyo. Samuel may have heard of them, I'm just curious about his opinion...Neo-Paladin wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 8:56 am Bladewind...care to update me on the League of Supermen? League of Supermen
So long as its not played as overally crippling. I can see that getting old and not being fun for you...jmucchiello wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 4:33 am Yeah, I see her as slowly getting herself back together. On her meds, she can function and feel like she's not 6 other people.

Samuel would be horrified at the idea of people being given powers through illegal experimentation....even kryptonian powers. He did not start his Church to be empowered, but to do the right thing and actualize his devotion.
If these people did good of their own free will...sure, he'd put them up as fine examples of what the House of El is all about.

Well yeah, you can only write, "I curl up into a ball and rock back and forth" so many times. I have no intention of her ever being that far gone. She did that for 18 months in an asylum a few years ago. She just has occasional flashes of personality discontinuity now. She will never be the "Stop evildoer or face justice at the hands of Fire!" kind of hero. But that's okay.Bladewind wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 1:24 pmjmucchiello wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 4:33 am Yeah, I see her as slowly getting herself back together. Alice has become the thing that she hates. She is now the therapist.

I did my best to amend Pratfall with the shared background. I figure that, small as the town was, him being a clown was probably fairly common knowledge even before his empowerment.
And Bladewind, are you OK with Fake Expert? Do you need me to pick skills?

You know, I have to wonder... just where in the Merge does Pratful, the clown itself, originate from? A universe where clowns were an actual species maybe? One has to wonder, even if the mystery doesn't have to actually be revealed. It's better that way at times.

A universe where children are taken in from birth and raised in the ways of pranking, ingesting strange mutagens to transform their bodies, professional depression slayers. They are... the Witchers.

FWIW, Pratfall has had multiple origins in the times I've submitted him, ranging from a gypsy curse and supertech to accidentally donning the skin of a demon to the costume being part of the sacred robes of a devotee of Thalia, Muse of Comedy (and Tragedy) to it being a Silver Storm effect to cases where he just doesn't know. My headcanon is that the one in this case is drawing from the various incarnations of Pratfall I've had in the different games.

Now I can't help but imagine an entire super-team consisting of Pratfalls from other dimensions. They'll travel to every adventure inside of a miniature beetle.

The Merge needs a "common" xenophobic origin which is shrouded in mystery. These beings are rare but not unheard of. But try as they might (and there are plenty who have tried hard) no one cannot find the source material for them. But everyone knows they weren't part of the base Earth history pre-merge.
