YMMV for all of this:

The idea of Danger Sense in this case was intended more as a narrative device, a bit of establishing character without mechanics, as we aren't in combat (and hopefully won't be). For Cat, she is a Slayer with Favored Foe- Vampires, and there is a vampire over there, practically still dripping from having fed- so, maybe dangerous. For Eli, Cat is still a Slayer (albeit not a normal one) and while she is not loaded for bear, she is at least loaded for trash panda, and she is currently wary (also, Eli's Danger Sense is tied into her Merge sense, and the parts of Cat that are maybe dangerous are the parts that Merged into her)- so, maybe dangerous. But again, just a narrative character moment, nothing mechanical...

In a narrative way, Danger Sense IS kind of like Spidey-Sense. It lets you know there is something dangerous somewhere nearby, with no other details- it doesn't tell you what might be dangerous, or where it is, or how dangerous; it just says "Hey, pay attention!" Because the game mechanics are what they are, it provides a specific mechanical benefit (possibly not being surprised), but no other info. Functionally, it is the Awareness Sense power, keyed to danger. If you want to know WHAT is dangerous, or where it is, or even HOW dangerous it is, you would need a dedicated Detect sense.

And who knows- maybe Gabriella is dangerous, or one of the other customers is? Anyway, is Eli doesn't think it would be dangerous then feel free to not notice. Cat will probably be even more wary and on edge, without knowing why...

Right but as written Danger Sense only warns you of immediate danger, when initiative is rolled. It's not Dangerous Stuff Sense. You could go with an Awareness: Dangerous Stuff. That would tell you something dangerous is nearby.

As noted, YMMV. No actual benefit was conferred, just a bit of fluff.

I'll play on it a little, just for the fluff of it all as you said.

I think I can see both sides.

On one hand, the knowledge of the presence or absence of a thing in the environment is a specific power - Awareness, and requires point investment. Someone seemed to be asking the GM if there 'could be' danger in the scenario (Awareness) whereas Danger Sense is the situation where you are imminently and actively in danger and you get a chance to react to it.

If you, as a player, determine that the situation is possibly dangerous and want to 'fluff' it as vampire/slayer senses for your character to be on alert then that's fine.

While Eli is fairly pale, she hides her eyes behind sunglasesss, and tries hard not to open her mouth too wide when she speaks. Her voice is fairly soft as a result.

FWIW, I took the comment mostly as fluff...

I am working, at the moment, on plot exposition and getting the group slowly together...

Hey jmucchiello. I know it's kinda hard to follow our pieces (I had to really look myself) of the story, so, I thought this might help us:

Makes me feel a bit silly with how blazê Eli's reaction is, though it's not as if she actively tried to know about this stuff.

Helena does have healing. Right now she probably doesn't notice that the Klingon has been hit. Once she does, she'll make with the pretty lights if needed.
