I vote go with who you can tell the best story with, manage as a combat group, and fits the feel of the game you'd like to run. Even if my submission isn't selected I'll trust that it leads to a better game ultimately and I'll offer it as an alternate if someone drops. So yeah, go with your gut. Smaller lets you tailor the story better.

^_^ Yeah, it fits in with changing "Power Feats" to "Flat Extras", "Create Object" to "Create", "Super-Senses" to "Senses", etc...

Someone always gets lost at some point in PbP games, which is unfortunate.

Play it how you want it played, Bladewind. No need to feel pressured from the number of player submissions you have as of right now.

I plan to start a game here (soon) and I intend to limit the number of completed total submissions to 10 just to avoid what happened on RA when there were 19 submissions to a game.

Heading to role-playing game convention this weekend. Won't be on much. Good luck all.

Huh. Are you figuring on just allowing the first ten?

No I'll still have disappoint half of them I suppose. But better than disappointing 2/3 or 3/4 of them . :)

I've seen the players here be very mature and understanding in that not every submitted character gets selected. No one has 'held a grudge' or 'been devastated' by not getting in to a game that I've seen.

I'm saving my grief over it. And I didn't want to derail this thread.

I never hold a grudge. But I will admit to occasionally feeling vaguely smug when a game I didn't get accepted into has issues. It's a bit like how it can feel good when your ex's next relationship doesn't go well.
