And not gonna Lie, really tempted for Juno to chime in on Angela's question along the lines of "Should I be offended that they're not asking me that question too?"

If you want, you can treat it as an Aid action for Angela's roll. They are trying to put her on the defensive, and you would be putting them on the defensive that way.

I am trying to think of ways this isn't just a "best of 5" skill checks. Use of feats like Fascinate and Daze are allowed as would creative use of powers.

But if your character can connect with the question being asked of another - like how Juno is similarly dressed as Angela - you can Aid them without it counting against helping them in the future.

Also, Skyguard gets a +2 situational bonus for the reference to slavery which will draw some sympathy, especially in the South. That means Sakuro, you passed your Deception check.

Juno also got +2 but it didn't help.

I do not want to talk myself out of a success, however I may have listed the results in a confusing fashion. Sky Guard's Deception check would be 12, 14 with the circumstance bonus for slavery sympathy. His Persuasion check is 18, 20 if the circumstance bonus applied to that.

I was thinking about using Fascinate if someone failed majorly and Aid would not help. Something to draw attention away from the teammate, even if Sky Guard ends up looking like a spotlight stealing jerk as a result.

Weird idea … could Kit or SKy Guard make the crowd "socially vulnerable", somehow, then use Set-Up to transfer the advantage to another Teammate? Just a brainstorming idea for mixing things up. On the same note, could Juno socially Interpose and "take a hit" for someone?

Thanks for being honest. For some reason, I saw 13 for your Deception check. Take an HP.

How they respond to the Fascinate depends on how its delivered.

The intro was kind of that "leave the reporters softened" for each of the PCs. Speaking of which, Arca-Knight's checks were supposed to be 2 DC higher due to failing the first check.

I dont think Interpose would work that way, but other Advantages might be usable that way.

I'll use that HP to re-roll Sky Guard's Deception check. Edited the re-roll onto the end of my post.

Juno isn't giving the "I need help" signal. Could Kit or Sky Guard make an Insight check on the crowd to see if it would be a good idea to step in?

Kreuzritter, if you do not want assistance, I'll respect that too.

Yes, I will allow an Insight check to see if you think she is losing the crowd, as it were.

Also remember, you need 3 successes in 5 checks. So you can fail one or two.

And also, losing this challenge only means that you will start out the game with less "respect and popularity."

For example, if you go into a building to evacuate it, the people will be less responsive.

It's not a permanent situation, just where you start at. Your actions will change it over time.

I apologize for the delay. Work has been a pain in the backside this week (more so than usual) and I am looking for a new job.

Second interview, Thursday. Fingers crossed.

And everyone gets an HP for the delay.
