Diego at this point would say basicly the same thing. I've been holding back as I didnt want to get to ooc for this and ic Diego knows his role in the dreamscape is a grunt no one would listen to without some persuasion role involved.

I generally prefer brainstorming and bouncing ideas off one another to be done IC, because that is RP fuel. That said, it is ok to ask for help or ideas if you are stuck on something like this.

In this instance with Alex and Diego, you are stuck in a loop. You do not have to go through the series of events as scripted every time. You can stand back and do some planning if you want to.

The big thing that will hurt you and Costa is if you try to wake her. Other than that the "challenge score" is a mechanical means of gauging whether you are able to progress the dream to it's completion, or if just can't get unstuck from the loop.

Supernaturalist and MrDent, are you alright pressing forward in your respective scenes without the support of other PCs? We have three people who are having trouble posting, or will be gone for a time. Knowing myself, if the game gets idle too much, or for too long, it will stop being fun for me and my interest will go away. Getting that interest back can be difficult too. It is how I am. So I do need to try to keep things going.

Another option is to pause the main story and do something on the side while RL settles down for the others.

I am fine. My hps might run out, since there is 6 successes left, but otherwise I am good.

If Supernaturalist is good with it as well, I will cut the required successes for Diego's challenge in half and make it into two separate personal challenges with your own successes and failures. Rather than pooled between Reaper and Diego. You'll be at 1/3 successes and 1/3 failed.

Yes, I am good to press forward. I'll post in response to the next scene as soon as it's up and I can digest it. ;)

I did make a post. It does not kick off any new scenes though. It is up to the player(s) to move things forward. Iona needs to actively work towards answering her questions and resolving the problems she is faced with.

I read the ooc post before the ic one. I’ll get a post up this evening. Originally, I was waiting for input from Peter (and to a lesser extent) from Dr. Sokolov.

I don't want to get a rushed post up for Diego in the current situation. I have some ideas largely involving trickery of some sort since pure force doesn't seem like a terribly good idea, but need to think on them before getting a proper post of his action up tomorrow night. I will get an IC post up ASAP with some of his thoughts though and maybe speaking with Costas.

Edit:
I also just noticed I put 14 for his military expertise when it should have been 20 http://orokos.com/roll/725880 14 was the d20 roll. No worries on any retconning info though since I mucked up the post.

While I do not have a problem with you posting Diego thoughts … having the entire post consist of that does not give me something for the world around your character to react to. When Diego does something that I can respond to, I'll work on a post for that. Meanwhile, feel free to ask your questions.

With a 20 Diego would know that the Cheyenne Mountain Complex was attacked by Imperator's forces towards the ends of the war. He wouldn't know what the objective was, or who lead the attack, but he would know that the assault was repelled and Imperator's forces had to withdraw.

Diego would know the suits capabilities, either from seeing them in action, or getting reports about them. He's also using them … right now.

The "Tactical Helmet" has a sensor suite built into it that enhances visual and audio abilities, provides Infravision and Ultravision, as well as time and distance senses. In addition to this is has built communications that are encrypted.

The "Hard Suit" (think Mass Effect style armor) is resistant to all forms of damage. Straight up Protection. Nothing fancy.

The "Exo-Frame" (look at the film Elysium for examples of how they look) are separate from the armor and are layered on top of it. One does not require the other to be used. It enhances physical attributes. Mechanically, all physical traits go up by 1, up to the human maximum. Except strength, which is increased to the human maximum. The Exo-Frame also increases the mobility of the wearer, allowing them to run and jump faster or farther. Finally, the Exo-Frame provides a very modest amount of protection, though this is made redundant (does not stack with) the Hard Suit. But would compliment lesser armors such as bullet proof vests.

The "Mag Rifle" is a man portable railgun. Capable of ranges rivalling high powered sniper rifles, and hitting even harder. It has the punch of weapons that modern militaries would mount on vehicles, but is light and small enough to be carried by a single soldier. Even without an Exo-Frame.

All of these Devices (capital "D") are DNA coded to the assigned wearer. Including the armor and helmet which won't "open" or function for anyone else.

You also have, or can loot, more conventional equipment such as grenades.

Ok, sounds good. The intent of the post was partly to keep me in Diego's headspace. I find if I don't get even a simple post up as a character for too long I tend to start losing interest.

With interacting with the NPCs, I am being a bit more careful as to not have unintended consequences.
