From there you'd be able to post up how the trip went for you, and we'd move into the adventure.

Its not very different. Maybe I misread it but the impression I got was the narrative post would be just from Arkrite. I'm proposing the players introduce their characters themselves and then we jump into the GM narrative to get us to Orlane.

If the majority of the group wants to have the GM handle the intro I'm good with it. I'm easy that way.

So far it looks like a 50/50 split.
Luckily we got one more player yet to weigh in...

After weighing the options carefully I have decided to side with option 1.

And so it shall be.
I'll put up a post shortly to allow you to describe your character, and introduce/interact with everybody.
Once everybody has been introduced and things have wound down (or everybody says they're ready to move on) I'll move us to the next scene.

Two Requests, if I may:

1) Please add your character's name to the top of your IC posts. It helps me keep track of who is who at a glance.

2) Please use the OOC thread for questions that don't accompany a post. If you have a question as part of your post, that's fine (happens a lot in combat), but if your entire post is an OOC question please put it here instead.

Thanks guys.

I will also apologize the investigation may get a little frustrating, but I do promise that some people will talk to you, and that there is a sizable number of people in the town to speak to.

And on a completely unrelated note, and not at all relevant to anything you will do in this game at all ever, is:
PHB pg. 198 it says "When an attacker reduces a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack, the attacker can knock the creature out. The attacker can make this choice the instant damage is dealt"

Will we or did we have a chance to ask after rumors about Orlane and what's happening thereabouts? What might we have heard?

Asking around in the city gets a lot of comments about how they haven't seen any merchants coming from that area, but nobody seems to really know why.
And most people in the city don't care too much about a distant farming town, certainly not enough to look into it.

The town closest to Orlane, Hookhill, will likely have more information when you pass through, and maybe even people from the area. But in this city it could take you quite a bit of time before you could find somebody who actually knows anything that wasn't fifth hand knowledge (and probably mostly just made up).

That being said there might be somebody nearby who has more information...

Revised my intro for better group cohesion.

Wasn't sure if I did that right. Arkrite, I'm not sure if you wanted us to write out how we were at the first meeting, or how we were while traveling or something else. Let me know and I'll revise as needed.

I was going to let everybody introduce themselves and talk first (if needed) before fast forwarding to the next scene.
There may be cause for questions or discussion depending on what people have to say.

I will let everybody know when we're swapping scenes, to avoid confusion. Basically that will start Chapter 1, so the good news is that it will be hard to miss ;~)

So we ARE doing introductions and roleplaying first?

I thought that was what the majority voted for.
Did I get that wrong?

Maybe it was I who miscounted, either way, here we are.

Quick question, which arm is Jarrak missing? I need to know whether I need to make a "Left" or "Right" pun.
