Team Cerberus (IC)
Oni
Genki's impassive stoic expression was only perturbed during all the ordeal when the powdery symbols were marked on his chest. He was already sporting some from the time he was imprisoned in the temple in mount Fuji. He was visibly shaken by the experience, although he didn't seem to know what was going on at the end of it. He was expecting to be trapped for centuries again, perhaps? Still, he said nothing.

Re: Team Cerberus (IC)
Everyone:
“That was... unexpected.” Madame Curare said from her seat. Her eyes shot down and to her left, letting her see what had been drawn on the floor. She didn’t know what the glyphs meant. She didn’t even find them vaguely suggestive of something that she might know. Hell, she didn’t even know if she wasn’t looking at them upside-down. “That was no smoke and mirrors routine. I don’t know what it was, but I know it was something.”
She looked over each of the group in turn, as best as she could given her seats restraints.
“Thoughts, opinions, feedback?”
Looking down the line to where Curare was at, Alex replied. "I'll lay odds to evens it was a form of binding magic, though i can't be certain,as i'm no Occult Operator.I'll guarantee this though; it's got to be either a form of control or Deadman's Switch to keep us as their Personal Attack Dogs...."
Taking a deep breath, Alex looked around to make sure his (Potential) allies were ok as he remarked dryly. "What a wonderful welcoming committee greeting.Everybody alright?Gorgeous, how you and Perky doing?...."
"Ow.... seriously...anyone know how many human and prisoner rights they just violated?" she looks down at her open prisoner suit. "They could at least have closed us back up.." As she answered she tugs lightly against her restraints to see if maybe they might just open for her, but she found them irritatingly secure.
"At least three that I can count but I was never big on Sesame Street." The cold skinned girl snerked before sighing causing another breath of cold air to flare out into the room. She stole a quick glance at the spot on her chest where the symbols had been painted; all that remained was an off-colored mark that was some odd looking character that seemed right at home with the ones drawn on the floor. "Had to be a tattoo, my brothers gonna kill me." She said off handedly putting out an airhead vibe that she liked to use to keep people off balance.
"Brand," Nathan corrects. "Tattoos are with needle and ink, not fire."
"Whatever they are, by the looks of things not a single one of us has any idea what they mean, do we?"
A moment of uncomfortable silence followed the question, only to be broken by the sound of a newcomer's voice. "I am fairly certain none of you know what the glyphs mean." The voice belonged to a woman, but the only sound that followed her answer were the rhythmic clicking of heels on the cement floor as she moves to the center of the room so that all of you can easily see her.
"Congratulations, you've all just made it through the final procedure. My name is Harriet Wainwright. Welcome to Team Cerberus. If you'll please follow me to the conference room, we can get started answering the questions I am certain you all have." As she speaks, the older woman produces a remote from her jacket pocket and presses a button that causes the restraints on your chairs to open.
You all feel the nullification effect immediately end, as Wainwright leads the way out of the room.

And just because I love sharing pics, here's one of your new "friend".
Thanks to Davies for letting me use some of his art.

Cat Noir (Felicity Black)
Condition: Healthy
HP: 1 ~ Luck: 5
First order of business.... buttoning her top back up, shooting a glare at any of the males who were staring before watching after the woman who released them from the seats, then back to the others, curious what they would do. Based on what they had already experienced, it wouldn't be too far a leap to guess whatever that mojo shinanigans was about, it would probably have a means to affect all of them should even one of the group step out of line. ALSO given what they had already seen, it seemed possible they would find out in due course.
The question was if they would find out from experience or if they could make it long enough for whoever that Wainwright woman was to tell them. In the interest of not finding out the hard way, Felicity gives the rest of the group a shrug and heads off after the woman.

"Don't worry kid,we got you.You gonna be alright?you don't look so good....."

Snowblind
Condition: Minty fresh
The instant the restraints were unlocked Jen felt the cold slide into her like a warm blanket, or what she imagined a warm blanket to feel like. As she stretched and took in a deep breath the temperature in the room dropped prodigiously to a near freezing as she smiled wickedly.
She didnt bother closing her top up.
"Lady you got a pair of beach balls on you." she snarked as she walked and followed Ms. Wainwright "This could be fun." she chuckled
The temperature within the room slowly returned to normal save for an area within three feet of her that never rose above a balmy 33 degrees Fahrenheit.
It goes without saying that she debated just outright turning Wainwright into an ice cube but something in the woman's manner and a well honed survival instinct told her it might be a bad idea. besides she doubted the woman could get any colder then she already was--snerk--nah shed just settle for a little quiet rebellion here and there until the time was right, and see how things went.

Madame Curare
“'Will you walk into my parlour?” said the Spider to the Fly. 'Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy...'” Curare quoted. She bitterely recalled her father constantly pounding that damnable sermonizing poem of Howitt's into her head as a child. She had come to despise the man and his moral crusading over the decades... But it seemed a fitting warning here. “Well Mrs. Wainwright, lead on... It seems pretty obvious we've got no alternatives but to follow.”"Congratulations, you've all just made it through the final procedure. My name is Harriet Wainwright. Welcome to Team Cerberus. If you'll please follow me to the conference room, we can get started answering the questions I am certain you all have." Nathan is still very angry over the whole "branding" thing. The woman's voice gave him a focus for the anger.
Even the bonds being removed or his powers being restored do nothing to improve his attitude.
But Nathan is no fool. She didn't free them and let them have their powers back without some kind of check in place. His money was on the very brand that is pissing him off.
He gets up and follows the others silently.

The ancient ashigaru-turned assassin slowly rubbed his wrists. His eyes darted from one to the other, and to the gaijin woman that had appeared. He could easily rip off her tongue. He would eventually, but as the others made clear, the woman might hold a very tight grip on their lives after the ritual. He stood up, his frame not particularly intimidating. He simply nodded.

As soon as the restrains fell away, he felt his shadow grow heavier, darker, as it reestablished a connection with the Schattenwelt. The pleasant cool sensation seeped into his very core, the need to instantly submerge and escape at the forefront of his mind. While not a genius by any standard of the word, he was more then aware enough to know when it was time to exercise caution. The woman turning her back on nine powerful men and woman without a care in the world was a definite sign that trying something like that might be ill-advised. She had some other trick up her sleeve, and he had a feeling it had to do with symbols dug into his flesh.
The seventh to rise, he chooses to stay just a few steps behind the group as a whole as they move through the structure, feeling himself stray towards the darkened corners almost unconsciously.

Magenta
The question seemed to be directed at no one and soft enough that it wouldn't carry very far. Though anyone naturally observant or with good hearing could make out the rhetorical, pained question.
When the awareness of metal finally reached her consciousness Maggie gasped again. Her own jumpsuit had only plastic buttons due to some clever foresight by prison administration but for anyone who's suit might sport a metal zipper they feel it/them shudder for a brief moment as her power expands. It's like being in a car when it suddenly turns on. And given that cold only makes metal MORE responsive to magnetic fields the effect is heightened around the cryokinetic.
Likewise, Alex (and whoever else assisting the lifting of Maggie) will find his/their arms passing through a faint pinkish-purple haze with an accompanying tingly-thick sensation. Maggie's hair fluffs briefly as if in a upwards puff of air but settles quickly. All odd effects fade as quickly as they come and Maggie stands up straighter.
Her eyes go to the man for the first time and her smile creeps back in like someone turning a winch connected to fishhooks on the sides of her mouth. "Th-Thank you. I'm..." the hesitation is only a brief one as her eyes flicker once downward then to his again, "Maggie." she says, her voice regaining strength.
As if realizing for the first time, her hand goes to pinch both sides of her immodestly exposed jumpsuit together, further hiding the angry red spell marks on her chest as well as evidence of scarring and tattoo removal, visual evidence of a previously violent criminal life that belies her current demeanor and personality. There's metal everywhere and none of it has blood on it! Let me fix that! Let me free, you worthless, spineless Barbie doll. You Mockery! You Mutt! You'll never be good enough. This may be our last chance! Make a hole, everyone will follow you. Find a mage and make them undo it, maybe the spell takes time to 'set', I dunno. Just DO something!
Maggie let's herself be led placidly after Harriet Wainwright.
As the big man slipped an arm around the dazed Maggie he heard her small, confused voice. "Haven't I been good?"

Buzzbomb
HP: 1; LP: 1; Condition: "Whoa!" (In appropriate Keanu/ Matrix voice)
When the restraints slid away, and the nullifier system turned off, Keyanna stayed sitting down, not even glancing at the others as some of them started to get up. If anything, she shifted a bit in her chair, getting comfortable- and then she closed her eyes.
She knew what was coming- it had been quite a while since she was completely unfettered, since the nature of her powers required a near-constant level of management. And when she was unmanaged, after a lengthy stint, her perceptions had to readjust. Which was, to say the least, jarring...
If anyone happened to look back as they made their way towards the hall, they might see her image shift and blur, stuttering like an old-time film strip. Likewise, inside her head, the past, present, and future started to run together, like three faucets emptying into the same sink, swirling wildly as they blended. There was no way she wanted to be standing up while THAT process worked itself out- and she certainly didn't want to be moving.
It only took a moment, though she could not have told you how long it FELT like. Days maybe, or the single blink of an eye- or both at once. As things started to calm down, she focused, moving backwards through her memories, and memories, knowledge that might not have been hers. Chasing a thread... The thread, of course, was the name of the chief witch in charge, Harriet Wainwright as she had called herself. Had Keyanna ever heard that name before?
And another heartbeat passed- most of the group, now, had moved out into the hall. Keyanna stood up, slowly, moving each muscle carefully to take stock of how it felt, how close she was to being ready- ready for... whatever. To an observer, there was a shift, not even a blur. She was sitting- then standing. Beside the chair, the last in the room- then out in the hall, practically at Wainwright's shoulder, her own form now a blur, hard to see or identify...
>OOC:
Sorry about the delay getting a post up. Once our powers come back on-line, Keyanna will spend a second adjusting, then use the Past Tense slot of her array and a Move action to access Eidetic memory and Well-informed, to see if she knows anything about our 'employer'. Straight INT for Eidetic (1d20+1= 21), Investigation (INT +2)= 22 for Well-informed. Rolls are here: http://www.coyotecode.net/roll/lookup.php?rollid=203610 (And that looks like I have already expended my entire stock of crits for the game- glad I got those out of the way on something important)
-Once she has that, she will use the Timeskip slot in her main array to stand and move out into the hall. (Now at Speed 10, +Precise; Quickness 4, and visually blurred enough to be disguised but not concealed at all.

For the briefest, very briefest seconds, Dave could feel Maggie as she reconnected with her powers, the mercury in his blood reacting in the face of the powerful magnetic force. It was only a slight tingle, barely even registering as a feeling at all, but it was enough to get his attention. The zippers of his suit shuddered and clinked, putting him further on edge. He'd heard of this woman before. Psychotic, yet supposedly cured. If she was cured though, then just why the hell were they still keeping her around?
She was certainly on his radar.
Concerned as he was regarding Maggie, Dave nearly missed the jittery movements of their last companion. She was easily moving far faster then even his own observant eyes could catch, piratically phasing in and out of reality as she moved from one spot to another. Fast, even for a speedster. There was something more to it though. Something his eyes just weren't in tune enough to catch, yet his goat was telling him something about the way it happened. Another mystery.
Taking the time to unbutton his shirt even further, so that it exposed a good part of his upper chest, he resumed his easy pace behind the group.

The warrior turns to give a short lived glare at Maggie. He could feel it, the magnetic maelstrom contained within the woman, and how as she regained her powers, every piece of metal around bowed to its mistress. He knew that if it came to killing all of these people, he would have to target her first, most likely. He narrowed his eyes. A wooden arrow to the left eye socket should do the trick. His mind went briefly over how would he dismember each and every one present if the state of things degraded against him. Hopefully, he could manage to get the most out of the situation, and simply cooperate with his fellow prisoners, but as far as he knew, they might get pitched against each other for the amusement of the higher classes; quite japanese of them, he thought.

Despite being the first of the inmates to head for the door, Felicity jerked slightly at the sudden blur and seeing the near comatose girl now apparently fully functional and keeping pace ahead of her next to Wainwright.
She paused and idled back a little though towards the source of the cold air, crossing her arms over her chest as she gets closer to the source of near freezing temperature, leaning toward Jen and speaking softly, with an evident shudder to her voice from the cold that wasn't entirely feigned. "Sweetie, would you do me a teensy favor and dial back on the air conditioning? I think you have eloquently made your point." Felicity gives Jen a shivery smile, looking like she would be quite grateful to be warm again.
While she idled back near Jen, Felicity took stock of the others and their reactions to sudden freedom to use their powers. Some like Jen had openly displayed them, whether it could be helped or not, a slight glance over to Maggie being aided by Alex, but most it would seem kept their powers under wrap, or had no "powers" as such.
Felicity could feel the slight tingle in her fingertips when she reached for her power, though she didn't actively bring it about. No point unless she wanted to break something anyways and that wouldn't serve any purpose... yet. Just a matter of time and the pendulum of fortune would swing back her way. It always did. She just needed to be patient, and observant.
