The whole mess of conflation over the centuries involving Hathor, Bast, Bastet and Sekhmet is pretty fascinating (er, if you are at least a bit of a mythology nerd, that is).
No, Bast and Sekhmet are both female in the Marvel universe. I think Jab just but god instead of goddesses in their descriptions.

There was a weird bit in Black Panther where they teamed up T'Challa with Moon Knight, and they went out of their way to say that the Panther God of Wakanda was also Bast of the Egyptian pantheon. And if I remember right, because of that, Khonshu was subservient to the Panther God, and by extension, Moon Knight needed to be subservient to T'Challa. Egypt is part of Africa you see, so the god of one secret super nation on the other side of the continent is clearly the same god of a powerful mega-empire on the other side of the continent.

Per the appendix pages, Bast and Sekhmet both have male and female forms. (Oddly, none of the traditionally male deities are given female forms. Wonder why?)

Bastet in Mythology: Bast/Bastet is a Lioness Goddess (later becoming a Cat Goddess) who was all about partying, pleasure and dance, though she became worshipped less as Sekhmet, Goddess of War, came to prominence when Upper & Lower Egypt merged cultures (much like Upper & Lower Canada in the early years, the "Upper" portion was noticeably further South). In later centuries, she became Bast- a Protector Deity- instead. The Egyptians famously LOVED cats, and mummified over 300,000 of them in the Temple of Bastet. As exterminators of vermin, and tender mothers to their kittens, they were very respected.

-Marvel used "her" as a gender-switching fighter who became the Panther God of Wakanda, meaning that "he" tended to appear as a gigantic cat. This form helped out a God Squad against the Chaos King (in Chaos War), and bestows powers onto T'Challa and others at-will (once taking back his powers and bestowing them upon another who'd impressed him). T'Challa once became temporarily empowered by the Panther God in the end of The Ultimates.

-Bastet (often known as "The Panther God" these days) is a Giant Cat done Godly, becoming a PL 13 Melee Fighter with magical powers and a ton of experience. The "Empower" ability is Affects Others Variable, and could go on any NUMBER of Gods, who are occasionally shown bestowing favours upon Mortals, but only characters who I've specifically seen doing that get points for it (unless I just feel like ignoring it or assuming it's a use of their Benefit or Ritualist Powers). Bast can also "See Souls", which allowed him to detect the incursion of The Skrulls when even Reed Richards' "Super-Handy-Dandy Skrull Detector" failed. The Panther God is PL 12 offensively in Regular Form (PL 13 Defensively), but jumps to PL 13 in his Giant Cat Form (PL 10.5 Defensively), meaning he's not QUITE PL 13 all over, but it's still pretty good.

Just tossing my thoughts on the Filipino gods, or more precisely, Tagalog gods, since the Phillipines are a crap ton of islands that don't speak the same languages or have the same traditions. Down south the visayans had their own pantheon, and others had either blended together a little of each, or had their own unique set of gods. One thing they all have in common is that hardly any Filipinos know the slightest thing about them. They've been nearly 90% Christian for ever since Magellan found them, and before that they were conquered by the Moslems, neither of which are known for preserving existing religious beliefs. A near complete lack of written records before the Spanish doesn't help, either. Oddly enough they do still believe in their magic and witch doctors and monsters, though. Even devout Catholics will get a charm from the witch doctor if they can't afford a 'western' doctor. And I've heard it on good authority that if you pee on the wrong tree you'll wake up paralyzed the next day, and if someone sticks a dried turtle dick in your pocket, the next time you have sex you'll get stuck together and die. So I guess the Spanish didn't stamp out everything when they took over.

Anyways, on to the topic at hand; Bathala is the creator, and fathered Apolaki (Sun/War god, I've never seen it spelled two words like Marvel has done), Mayari (Moon), Tala (Stars), and according to some tales Hanan (Morning) by either one or several mortal women. Mayari was the most beautiful goddess in her father's court, and both her and her brother's eyes were said to shine to brightly to look upon. When Bathala died (or went into the Bathala Sleep, or whatever), Apolaki and Mayari each thought they should be in charge so they fought each other. Apolaki poked out his sisters eye with a stick, and realized his error, so they decided to share rulership, with each ruling for half the day. With only one eye, the moon only shines half as bright as the sun.

Aman Sinaya was a generally a male, as far as I've seen. Aswang is either a particular type of monster/demon, several types of demons, or a blanket term for pretty much any monster, depending on where you are and who you ask, although someone of that name was the god of evil to the Bicolano culture. The ever popular Manananggal is often considered an aswang.

Trixdraws on Deviant art has a nice set of drawings based on the pantheon, if anyone wants to take look.

Total: Abilities: 120 / Skills: 64--32 / Advantages: 26 / Powers: 232 / Defenses: 14 (425)

Set in Mythology:
Set/Seth is the legendary God of Egypt that was said to have slain Osiris, resulting in Horus resurrecting his father and battling the God- his vague Animal-shaped head (Giraffe? Jackal? Horse thing? Egyptologists cannot agree, though in later years, he was a Donkey-headed God) and he were apparently THE Gods of Lower Egypt (he is the God of Deserts, among other things), while Ra & Osiris were worshipped in Upper Egypt. When Egypt unified, the Uppers took over, and thus Seth became demonized- this once-worshipped guy was soon relegated to being a monstrous, evil figure. It didn't help that he was associated with foreigners, and foreigners had taken over Egypt repeatedly
around that time. Sucks to be him.

-This guy has an absolutely HUGE stumbling block to overcome as a super-villain these days. That NAME! The original God is named "Set" or "Setesh", but Marvel chose many years ago to name him "Seth", as one of the closer approximations to his name, as a Serpent God was named that in Marvel's books already. The problem NOW is that "Seth" is one of the more common "generic male names", giving this Evil Death God a name more equivalent to "Chris" or "John" or "Steven". It's not even a TOUGH-sounding regular guy name, either- it's straight-up a fairly sissy one, in fact. No hard letters at all.

-Seth is an occasional enemy of Thor, generally being the most powerful and evil of all the Heliopolitan Gods- he imprisoned all the others, manipulated the Asgardians from time to time, and he's generally an ass. The son of Geb (Earth) and Nut (Sky), he is the brother of Osiris, whom he later killed and dismembered. Osiris was later brought to life, but Seth was thus an enemy of the others, and imprisoned Osiris, Isis and Horus in a tomb for thousands of years, until they were freed by Odin in modern times. Later, he captured Odin, but was defeated by Thor, Hogun the Grim, and the Earth Force that Seth had empowered from regular humans. He then allied with Surtur, and transformed himself into a mile-long serpent in an attempt at slaying Odin. Seth was impaled by the Black Knight's Ebony Blade, and disappeared for years, having lost many powers. He later reappears, but Spider-Girl leads some heroes in defeating him.

-I've never read one of his appearances, but I figure him as a Pluto/Poseidon-powered guy, who occasionally does stuff to get boosted to Odin level. Most of what I've seen has him fighting Thor in hand-to-hand, so he's not QUITE Skyfather-level. He IS an elite-level manipulator and Summoner, though.

Apparently if cats disappeared, the human race would go extinct because vermin would go out of control (rodents would gain such a population that they could overwhelm our food supply). Well-fed cats kill more mice and rats than hungry ones, because these cats have the free time to kill FOR FUN, because cats are like that.

So cats are thus deserving of said worship :).

Especially for places like Ancient Egypt. If their food stockpiles were eaten or spoiled there main was to either wait until they grew more or go take someone else's food.

-Kly'bn is a combination of two pretty great ideas- 1) if Earth somehow has upwards of TWENTY Pantheons made up of hugely-powerful entities worshipped in Earth's history, then why wouldn't OTHER cultures? Why would ONLY Earth get all the Skyfathers? 2) If the Celestials made Eternals, Deviants and Normals out of all the races in the universe, then what happened to the Eternals of other races? Kly'bn is the last remaining Skrull Eternal- the remainder of which were killed millennia ago by the Skrull Deviants (the Shapeshifters came to become the ONLY Skrulls known in the universe)- formed an alliance with the Deviant leader Sl'gurt, and they are the only two Skrull Gods, having taken over thousands of other conquered races' Pantheons as well. Kly'bn is beloved by the Skrulls ("He loves you" is their credo), and he represents the "Original" Skrull in their minds- since they're shapeshifters, HE is the image they always fall back to.

-Kly'bn & Sl'gurt were opposed during "Secret Invasion" by Hercules and his "God Squad"- they sent their Slave Gods against the heroes (who escaped thanks to Snowbird Limit Breaking into a Great Beast's form), then fought the good guys in a knock-down, drag-out fight. Sl'gur't burst through the Demogorge's stomach when he tried to eat her, while Kly'bn easily killed Ajak of the Eternals during an "Eternal Eye Beam Showdown". Kly'bn & Hercules were "evenly-matched" in his own words, so Amadeus Cho used his Super-Math to allow Snowbird to deliver a fatal blow to his back using the Demogorge's cast-off spine.

-This produces an interesting issue- the "Skyfather" of sorts of a Skrullian Pantheon is only about as strong as Hercules, and killable via a lucky shot, so he's rather powerful, but not so much so that he's tougher than Zeus or Odin or anybody- he doesn't even showcase any Magical Powers- either of those guys could Teleport, blow up HUGE swaths of area, and more. He's basically a somewhat-limited Eternal with no Shapeshifting, still fitting a PL 14 mighty warrior. So he couldn't take out any of the Earth Skyfathers, really, but he's got an ace in the hole, what with those thousands of PL 10-14 Gods backing him up.

-Kly'bn showcased no other Eternal Abilities beyond the Eye Beams, but could conceivably use Matter Manipulation (Transform Anything to Anything), Transmute Living Beings (Affliction Transform), Telekinesis and even Mental Abilities.

-Sl'gur't was the Queen of the Skrull Deviants, trying to slay the last Eternal. Instead, his final words moved her to marry him and become his Queen- while Kly'bn is stuck in one form, Sl'gur't instead shapechanges CONSTANTLY, never retaining the same form (except for when the artist gets lazy and shows her doing the same "multi-armed Buddha" pose with several arms. She tore her way through The Demogorge's belly (because too many Godheads were inside her mind/form- otherwise this'd be an INSANE Power Feat, as Demogorge was so tough he could take out every Death God simultaneously. She then battled Amatsu-Mikaboshi, and the heroes thought him slain- thinking that was for the best, they soon left the battlefield, only to fail the First Law of Shapeshifters: Always assume that the Shapeshifter beat your partner, and is now disguised as them. Mikaboshi took over the Skrull Pantheon and all their conquered deities, gathering a huge army on his way to The Chaos War.

-Sl'gur't is PL 14 like Kly'bn, using Shapeshifting to make any caps- she has so many ranks of it (65 points' worth!) that she can basically do almost anything, and take on anyone.

SHARRA AND K'YTHRI:
-Sharra and K'ythri are the Gods of the Shi'ar, and frequently invoked by shocked characters like Lilandra of the Imperial Guard. They were enemies who were forced to marry millennia ago, but through marriage, found strength and love. The M'Kraan Crystal was a wedding gift to K'ythri, and the Shi'ar did not simply "conquer" worlds, they "married" them, absorbing them into the Shi'ar Empire, making them slightly more benevolent conquerors than other races- a pretty solid use of "Religion as Metaphor" in the comics.

-The two Gods were never seen "for reals" until the Chaos War, where Amatsu-Mikaboshi was seen killing and taking over the pair.
