Re: Jab's Builds! (Cartman! Mecha-Streisand! Kenny! Token! Towelie!)
Speaking of all things political...I wonder if Jab's ever thought of statting out other political greats, like FDR or Winston Churchill? (I mean, the guy did the stats for Adolf Hitler, after all...)

Punching Hitler is an important part of WW2 time travel adventures.

He stated FDR at least once during a series of Marvel WW2 builds.DominusExMachina wrote: ↑Tue Mar 20, 2018 4:44 pm Speaking of all things political...I wonder if Jab's ever thought of statting out other political greats, like FDR or Winston Churchill? I've statted both FDR and Teddy Roosevelt, along with Hitler and Nixon (well, the Marvel version who led the Secret Empire) .

Bono
BONO
Role: Over-Achiever, Huge Piece of Crap
-Oh man, this episode was amazing. In it, Randy eats the right kinds of foods, and has a record-breaking bowel movement. Literally. And thus, the entire episode revolves around the idea that men are obsessed with the size of their crap (my record: 12 inches), while women find this fascination both absurd and disgusting. The spot where the male news reporter talks about this like legitimate, fascinating news, while his female co-anchor just LOOKS at him with this "REALLY? Are you REALLY doing this?" stare is terrific.
-In any case, Randy's turd breaks the record set years ago by Bono, who is now enraged and desperately attempts his own record. Stan, facing his disappointed father, begs Bono to step aside and allow Randy to be #1 in something, as Bono is #1 at so many OTHER things, such as charity work. Offended at being #2 at ANYTHING, Bono freaks out, and we finally learn why- he didn't GIVE the record-breaking crap... he IS the record-breaking crap.
-Yes, it turns out that the reason Bono can do all of these amazing things and still seem like "a huge piece of crap" is that he IS crap, literally. He was kept by his "father" and raised until he could talk and move around. This absurd premise pays off with Randy, who's been eating special foods for weeks in anticipation, unloads a crap literally three times his own size- so large it spins his body around- while a word-crawl at the bottom of the screen indicates that South Park is an Emmy-winning program.

6th Graders
THE SIXTH GRADERS
Role: Bullies
PL 2 (9)
STRENGTH 0 STAMINA 1 AGILITY 1
FIGHTING 2 DEXTERITY 0
INTELLIGENCE -1 AWARENESS -2 PRESENCE 0
Skills:
Deception 2 (+2)
Expertise (Bully) 2 (+1)
Perception 2 (+0)
Advantages:
Equipment (Bikes), Fast Grab
Offense:
Unarmed +2 (+0 Damage, DC 15)
Initiative +1
Defenses:
Dodge +1 (DC 11), Parry +2 (DC 12), Toughness +1, Fortitude +1, Will +0
Complications:
Obsession ("BEWBS!")- Sixth Graders are obsessed with boobs, to the point where they'll do anything for just a picture of them. The horrified Fourth Graders are like "That's not gonna be us some day, is it?" "... NAH."
Phobia (Rusting Bike Chains)- Sixth Graders will not cross water with their bicycles.
Rivalry (Fourthies)- Sixth Graders always pick on Fourth Graders.
Total: Abilities: 2 / Skills: 6--3 / Advantages: 2 / Powers: 0 / Defenses: 2 (9)
-A great recurring gag in the middle years is the band of Sixth Graders as South Park Elementary- much larger than Stan and the gang, they are notorious bullies who pick on the "Fourthies", frequently being used as adversaries. In the amazing episode where the gang (unbeknownst to them) returns a porno movie to the video store, the Sixth Graders act as Ringwraiths, hunting them down. It gets funnier and funnier to see them re-enact exact scenes from The Lord of the Rings, such as "sniffing out" the boys from behind a tree, or rearing up before the running water because they don't want their bike chains to rust.
-The funniest thing about them, to me, is the way they pronounce "BEWWWWWWWWWWBS!", which, as is tradition for South Park, gets more and more stylized as time goes on.
Re: Jab's Builds! (Cartman! Mecha-Streisand! Kenny! Token! Towelie!)
I loved the fact that Cartman warns you 'bout them in the beginning of Stick Of Truth, then you have to fight a bunch of 'em not 10 minutes later....
On a completely unrelated note,i have a request build for jab(or anyone else for that matter).I would like to see someone to stat up either the characters from the Gene Wilder movie Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory or the major cast of The Muppet Show.....please

LOL, I was actually thinking about statting up the Muppets some day! Definitely not soon, though- I only have the energy for one large "TV-themed" set every few months, but you'll definitely see them at some point. I LOVE The Muppet Show.MacynSnow wrote: ↑Tue Mar 20, 2018 8:54 pm I loved the fact that Cartman warns you 'bout them in the beginning of Stick Of Truth, then you have to fight a bunch of 'em not 10 minutes later....

I don't actually think I've seen all of either Chocolate Factory movie, though. And it's been so long since I saw parts of the first one that I don't even remember what happens.

Re: Jab's Builds! (Cartman! Mecha-Streisand! Kenny! Token! Towelie!)
and if I might chime in on the race thing.....I have a friend at work who went and saw Black Panther.
He loved it, but he kinda caught me off guard with his 'but' comment
"I loved it. Great movie....but there weren't enough white people."
I guess it's on subject cause i did a very South Parkian long silence and then said "....what?"
It all became a joke from there on out about how the guy was racist. His hatred of War Machine doesn't help. He feels like the character is pointless no matter how many times I tried to explain Rhodey's role in the Iron Man mythos. He even routinely did a little War Machine 'dance' after Civil War where he walked like he was crippled which has carried on almost two years now. and the fact he calls Falcon 'Black Falcon' does not help either.
Yet he's a MASSSSSSSSIVE fan of Heroes For Hire. That was his favorite comic growing up and he's got an almost Bendis like crush on Luke Cage.
It's one of those things where I'm not sure he's aware of how he sounds when he says things.
Like how Guardians of the Galaxy Vol II was ruined forever for him like a minute in when Kurt Russell does the headbob as he's driving along with Starlord's mom. "why does a planet need a car?!!". No amount of explaining it helps.
Just like how he decided Thor: Ragnarok was terrible due to the "You turned me into a frog and left me in the desert" thing from the Loki play despite me trying to explain "Dude, it's intentionally stupid as to try and show how Loki's making himself out to be the hero and how they're all buying it.
He's not so bad he's really just an odd man (*do do* "I even shaved my head to look like Dennis Rodman/HE'SAGODMAN!")

I was CONSIDERING it, but it's hard to justify making "don't be overly-political" comments in a thread about SOUTH PARK, which contains commentary about hippies, rednecks, conservatives, and more... and will eventually have builds & posts about the Trump-parodying Garrison, Caitlyn Jenner and the entirety of modern PC culture. I mean, "cultural appropriation" was on-topic, but the "casting people in the roles of other races" thing was outta nowhere. I dunno, I got over that one when a black dude playing The Kingpin was the best part of that piece of shit Daredevil movie. And because Broadway routinely does "Color Blind" casting as a rule, save for when it's a major point (The Book of Mormon obviously fits white Mormons & black Africans; Glinda from Wicked is best as a white blonde girl; Hamilton deliberately puts non-whites in historical roles as a conceptual point).Ares wrote: ↑Tue Mar 20, 2018 2:29 pm Yeah, I kind of kicked open a hornets nest here, but like you said, this show is very political and topical, so it was bound to happen. Just a reminder, as the thread starter you do have the option to request that all of the political side-debate stop immediately and be continued over in a thread in the debate forum.
