Supergirl: Who, me? I'm not in trouble. By the way, it's not 'miss' it's Supergirl. See? [Points at "S"] Super. [Points at face, bats eyelashes] Girl.
Superman: [Pause] Right. [Pause] Okay, you take the giant moth on the right...
Supergirl: And you take the fire-breathing T-Rex on the left.

Background
Zor-L, Alura Zor-L, and their young daughter Kara were a family of space-explorers from the peaceful planet Krypton landed on Earth during the later years of the Reign of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. Befriending a family of humans in coastal Virginia,
Fred and
Edna Danvers. The Kryptonians decided to stay on the primitive world to study it at length. Disguising themselves as the human cousins of the Danvers. After a few years, it became apparent that all three Kryptonians had gained incredible powers under Earth's yellow sun, they donned colorful costumes and would protect the people of their new world as the
Superman Family. Until the Earth-shattering events known now as the
Crisis on Two Earths, when Kara's world was attacked by the
Manhunter Legions and their masters, the evil
Guardians of Qward. This attack happened to coincide with an experiment by our universes
Fantastic Four -- Superman and Superwoman sacrificed themselves to destroy the threat of the Qwardian's
Sun-Eater, but at the cost of their own lives. Too sadden by her loss to remain on her own Earth, Kara Zor-L followed the Fantastic Four back to our world.
Kara Zor-L's native reality, labelled by
Mr. Fantastic as Earth-III-β, is similar to ours in many ways and yet, subtly different. The Earth rotates in the opposite direction, so the sun rises in the west; humans have slightly different genetics, so their hearts are on the opposite side of their chest, left-handedness and blonde hair are dominate traits; important historical events had altered outcomes: the American Colonies won independence by a vote in parliament in 1789, the Soviets landed on the Moon in 1969, and the standard calender used worldwide tracks the date based on the reigns of British monarchs.
Since arriving in our world in 1997, Supergirl has become as much a beloved hero as her "cousin," our
Superman, but is inclined more towards smaller acts of charity and heroism than his drive towards world-spanning crisis. Nevertheless, she's an probably the most active member of the Fantastic Four on a daily basis and a valuable reserve member of the Justice League International. Always ready to lend a hand, Supergirl is probably one of the most beloved superheroes on the planet.

Build Notes: Compared to her "cousin" Supergirl isn't as invulnerable, isn't as fast, and doesn't hit as hard at maximum impact... But take a note of their list of Advantages. Clark is likely to hold himself back in a fight via Defensive Attack, whereas Kara will commonly use Power Attacks or All-Out Attack. Clark also tends to operate solo much more than Kara, who is usually accompanied by some (or all) of the Fantastic Five.
