HISTORY
After the collapse of the Multiverse, Madelyne Pryor became the baroness of Limbo, a domain of Battle-world in Earth-15513; however, at some point, the court of All-Father Doom ruled against Madelyne in favor of her ex-husband, Scott Summers, removing her as baroness and elevating Scott to baron in her stead.

Despite being stripped of her barony, Madelyne still remained in control of a part of Limbo known as the Goblin District, and assumed the title of Goblin Queen. During Colossus' annual attempt at freeing his sister from the Demons, Madelyne intercepted him just as his mission was being botched, and rescued he and his wife, Domino, planning on using Colossus to defeat the Dark-child.

After arranging for Colossus to gain the Darkchild's Soulsword, Madelyne made him an offer; she and her Goblin Horde would get Colossus into the Darkchild's throne room, allowing Colossus to run her through with the Soulsword, which would either free his sister or kill the Darkchild, in exchange for which, Madelyne would take the Dark-child's throne. Colossus accepted, and they launched their attack.

Madelyne lived up to her end of the bargain, but found that the Dark-child and the bulk of her demon forces had left their stronghold and launched an attack on the X-Men. Initially content with staying out of the fight, since her force could not penetrate the X-Men's barriers, Madelyne quickly re-considered, launching an attack on the Dark-child's forces. They manage to res-cue the X-Men from N'astirh and were then surprised by the revelation that Mister Sinister was still alive.

Sinister offered to help them, but Madelyne, still angry over how Sinister had toyed with her life, used her telepathy to force Boom-Boom to kill him. A fight immediately broke out with Sinister's army of clones, which was then made worse by the arrival of the Darkchild and her demon horde; however, Colossus finally managed to kill his sister, thus ending the war. Madelyne then came upon her body, with the Hell-fire that had granted her her power escaping from her corpse, and took it as her own.

At some point after this, Madelyne was re-instated as baroness of Limbo, and when a wave of rebel-lions, instigated by the Prophet, broke out across Battleworld, All-Father Doom called upon Madelyne and three more of his trusted barons — Apocalypse, the Maestro, and Mister Sinister — for advice, charging them with putting down the rebellions. When the rebels reached Doomgard itself, Madelyne and her Goblin Horde were there to defend it; however, they were betrayed by Baron Sinister, whose army turned on Madelyne's. Together with Captain Marvel, he personally attacked Madelyne, and seemingly broke her neck.

Once Reed Richards restored the Multiverse, the Goblin Queen, the Bamf Dragon, and her goblins somehow found themselves on the Prime Earth's version of Limbo. Tired of hiding in the shadows, they opened a portal to a storage facility in Florida, from which they planned to invade Earth; however, their mustering was interrupted by Wolverine and Angel, forcing the horde to withdraw. A short time later, twelve Hell Gates inexplicably cracked open at the same time on Miami, prompting the Goblin Queen to unleash her Goblin Horde to wreak havoc on the city. She was eventually confronted by the X-Men, who she easily defeated, before being forced to retreat by Beast, who banished her army after merging with the Orb of Zarjul.

With her connection to the arcane diminished, Pryor coaxed a group of mutants with ties to the arcane (including Beast, who she had been tutoring in the dark arts) into forming the Hex-Men with the false promise of helping them in exchange for their assistance in her schemes. After summoning Colossus, Pixie, and Bloodstorm to the Prime Earth via a spell cast by Beast, the Goblin Queen led her Hex-Men against the X-Men at their mansion in Madripoor, resulting in the capture of some of them. Pryor planned to use the pain caused by Beast's betrayal to fuel a ritual to summon other Goblin Queens from throughout time and space. However, Bloodstorm, who had realized through the nature of the ritual that the Goblin Queen's promises were hollow, betrayed her and made Beast see reason, prompting him to conjure a spell to cast the Goblin Queen away with the rest of the Hex-Men.

HISTORY
Not much is known about the early life of Madelyne Pryor in Earth-91240, other than she was a clone of the mutant Jean Grey.

HISTORY
The Hell-Lords had long desired to sire a child with a human woman for use as a gateway to gain further power. A demon calling himself Satan took human form and established the trappings of a mortal life for himself near Fire Lake, Massachusetts. Keeping his true identity a secret, he married a young woman, Victoria Wingate. Daimon was born to the "Hellstroms" a year later with a strange pentagram-shaped birthmark on his chest. His sister, Satana, was born when Daimon was three.

When Hellstrom was a young adolescent, Victoria interrupted a ritual sacrifice "Satan" had staged in their basement involving the participation of Satana. Traumatized to the point of hysteria, Victoria was institutionalized. She eventually regained enough of her sanity to write a full diary describing her life with the demon before she died. Hellstrom and his sister meanwhile were placed in separate orphanages, and "Satan" disappeared to his netherworld domain, where he eventually brought Satana.

Hellstrom ultimately entered a monastery, hoping to become a priest. Shortly before being ordained, however, Hellstrom received legal notification of his inheritance of his father's house, where he found his mother's diary and learned the truth about his birth. At that point, "Satan," aware of his son's new knowledge, directed him telepathically through the house's secret basement interdimensional passageway to the demon's netherworld domain, or "Hell." Hellstrom's father beseeches his son to disregard his mother's diary's warnings and serve him in Hell. However, when "Satan" transported Hellstrom back to Earth, Hellstrom decided to dedicate himself to fighting his father's evil. He immediately returned to Hell in an attempt to battle "Satan". Although he failed to defeat "Satan" outright, Hellstrom managed to pit many of "Satan's" slaves against their master as well as to steal the satanic trident of "Satan" and a demon-drawn chariot before returning to Earth. Hellstrom also discovered the powers of the Darksoul that he had inherited from his father. He declared himself the Son of Satan, and for the next several years battled many manifestations of demonic evil on Earth as well as other realms.

During this period, the Son of Satan maintained his civilian identity of occult expert Daimon Hellstrom and was a visiting specialist professor at a St. Louis college. Hellstrom battled many adversaries of his father, and he even battled his sister, Satana, who had become a succubus. On several occasions, Hellstrom aided other heroes in occult battle, including the Ghost Rider. He became affiliated with the hero team Defenders in their battles with demonic possessions and threats, eventually becoming a member. During his Defenders membership, Daimon Hellstrom met and fell in love with his teammate Hellcat.

It was during this period, too, that he finally confronted his father and defeated him. Shortly afterward, the Son of Satan declared himself triumphant over his father and his father's influence. Then, the Miracle Man, a superhumanly powered criminal who had masqueraded as a monk, stole the Darksoul from Hellstrom in battle. The Miracle Man himself was subsequently defeated and the Darksoul was sent into a snake. Daimon Hellstrom was finally liberated from his partial possession by demonic evil, and, with much of his powers gone, he retired his costumed identity of the Son of Satan.

Daimon Hellstrom thereupon married Hellcat and the couple left the Defenders, moving to San Francisco. He and his wife soon earned a reputation as supernatural investigators based there. Hellstrom continued to publish regularly in scholarly occult journals and became considered a leading demonologist. Daimon Hellstrom created a costumed identity of Hellstorm when battling supernatural menaces in public in order to preserve Daimon Hellstrom's professional reputation. In this capacity, they helped several superheroes in mystical problems, notably the Avengers West Coast branch.

Over time, however, Hellstrom grew increasingly weak, due to the separation from his Darksoul, until he lay near death. In desperation, Hellcat used an ancient, dark spell book in order to summon Hellstrom's father. She asked him to restore Hellstrom's Darksoul, provoking the demon by saying "Satan" needed Hellstrom as someone to test himself against. "Satan" agreed, restoring Hellstrom's Darksoul although Hellcat was driven insane at the sight of it. Hellstrom said he was grateful for his wife's actions, but if the situations were reversed, he would have left her to die. Hellcat, due to her insanity, eventually died by calling upon the entity Deathurge.

Hellstrom once more began battling his father and demonic agents. Hellstrom gathered around him several agents of his own, including the villainous Nekra, Gabriel the Devil-Hunter, and the Gargoyle. During this time, Hellstrom's friend Jaine Cutter had remained by his side, hoping that her presence would "bring out the best" in him, and the two formed a type of romantic relationship. He also made a deal with the witch LaVoisin, impregnating her to learn about his father, including his true name.

Using this information, Daimon was able to slay his father. Hellstrom was given the 'Black Halo' and lordship of Hell. He claimed doing so would maintain the balance between Heaven and Hell, so neither could take control of the workings of the Universe and humanity could control their own destiny. He learned that LaVoisin gave birth to a son, whom he realized is the resurrected Marduk Kurios.

Selene wished to create a demonic version of the world-conquering Hellfire Club. She began associating with Blackheart. Blackheart and the Queen clashed with the Fantastic Four, Margali Szardos, Hellstorm, and a mysterious new figure called the Mechamage. The Hellfire Club was defeated in that encounter, and Blackheart was mystically bound into the Club's basement. Hellstrom then joined the Hellfire Club as its new White King as the means to balance the forces of good and evil in the Club's Inner Circle. Hellstrom, Szardos, Moy and the Mechamage agreed to remain together to defend the Earth against other demonic threats, calling themselves the Shadow Hunters. However, Hellstorm later claimed that the formation of the Shadow Hunters was a ruse to placate the Fantastic Four as they parted company.

Hellcat's soul had ended up in the realm of the demon Mephisto, fighting an eternal battle in the so-called Arena of Tainted Souls, alongside fallen hero Mockingbird. The two discovered sketchy details about a plot that Hellstrom was developing. Mockingbird was able to send a warning to her husband, the hero Hawkeye, during a brief resurrection, and Hawkeye and his team the Thunderbolts confronted Hellstrom and then used their sorcerous connections to go to Hell in order to rescue Mockingbird. They were tricked, however, by Hellstrom, and the Thunderbolts rescued Hellcat instead, restoring her body to Earth as Hellstrom had planned.

The extradimensional sorcerer Dormammu later tried a direct invasion to invade and take over the regions of Hell, beginning with the realm of Mephisto. Mephisto joined with fellow rulers of Hell, Satannish the Supreme and ostensibly Hellstrom, to oppose Dormammu, but was ultimately betrayed by Satannish, who revealed his true origins as a "stalking horse" for Dormammu.

Dormammu and Satannish nearly succeeded in annexing Mephisto's realm, but the hero Hellcat, who had stumbled onto the plot, managed to bring together Hellstrom and the death-gods Pluto and Hela and ultimately defeat Dormammu. As it is now known, the several incarnations of Hell are shaped by the subconscious thoughts (and fears) of those who would dwell within them. This loophole allowed Hela, Pluto, Hellstorm, and Mephisto to temporarily change the nature of Satannish and Mephisto's dimensions, ruled at the time by Satannish and Dormammu respectively, to frozen wastelands. This neutralized the power of Dormammu's Faltinian Flames rendering him too weak to fight. He fled to the Dark Dimension with Nicholas Scratch in tow.

Satannish, alone and demoralized at the rout of his master, was easily destroyed by a blast of mystical energy (in the back) from Mephisto as he reclaimed his world. During these events Dormammu had revealed, his supposed ace in the hole -- that Satannish was, in fact, a demon of his own creation and was the demon who had fathered Hellstorm. This was later exposed as a falsehood which Daimon had played along with in order to drive his former wife away for her own protection.

Hellstorm used this claim to assume control over Satannish's realm, and inherit Dormammu's right to rule as designated by the powerful "Flames of Faltine." However, without either Satannish or Dormammu backing Daimon, Mephisto was able to gain control of the vast majority of "Hell."

When the demon Olivier attacked the other realms, Daimon and Doctor Strange observed Frank Castle (who had been temporarily empowered by angels as repentance for his family's death) defeat the demon.

After Doctor Strange gave up his position as Sorcerer Supreme, Hellstrom was involved in the search for the next one. Brother Voodoo became the new Sorcerer Supreme, but eventually died protecting Earth from Agamotto.

After the demonic invasion in Las Vegas was averted, Daimon - who had discovered the Descent (the day when a Hell-Lord would become more powerful and the ones they marked would become a demon as well as their heirs) was real after seeing Agent Venom,Red Hulk, X-23 and the new Ghost Rider's hellmarks - betrayed the Avengers and joined forces with Sin in her plot to raze the world using the hammers of the Worthy.

He was killed by Victoria Hand, who was being possessed by the spirit of Brother Voodoo's brother in revenge for the death of his brother. However, his spirit didn't die as he appeared along the Ancient One when Doctor Strange regained his mantle as Sorcerer Supreme, telling Strange and the New Avengers that he would come back soon.

Sometime after his frustrated attempt to turn the Venom symbiote into one of his Monsters of Evil, Hellstrom, who was incarcerated at the Peak Maximum Security Prison in Virginia, revealed to Agent Venom that he didn't know if he was indeed the original Daimon Hellstrom as many copies of himself were created to explore every possible facet of the coming Descent. Hellstrom also revealed that Venom's hellmark had disappeared, freeing him from any infernal obligations.

Daimon Hellstrom later appeared as part of the Shadow Council's Masters of Evil, where he was part of Baron Helmut Zemo's inner circle. Daimon Hellstrom was shown to live in Hellstrom Manor in Hell Town, Bagalia.

Present Group Affiliation:

KNOWN POWERS:
Fire Generation: Johnny’s body can emit a fiery energy field of Unearthly (100) rank that completely sur-rounds his body. He can also create additional blasts of fire from his hands that can hit a target up to 3 areas away. He has developed the power into a number of stunts that he can use effortlessly.
  • Skywrite: Johnny can draw any shape in flame. The image lasts 4 turns.
  • Nova Flame: Johnny can re-lease his power in a single explosion of Shift-Z (500) intensity. This does 500 points of damage to everything in the immediate area and 150 points worth of damage in each area up to five areas away. When computing damage, the 150 figure refers to the sum total damage done to all targets within the affected area, not to each target. The Nova Flame lasts a single turn, although the subsequent fires may last til they are extinguished. Once Johnny has expended his flame, all his powers drop to Feeble (2) rank for 1 -10 turns and, unless he makes a red Endurance FEAT, he loses consciousness during that time.
Energy Sheath - fire: Johnny can surround any or all parts of his body with a fiery energy field of Unearthly (100) intensity. This provides him with power rank resistance to physical or energy attacks, except for wind, cold or water-based attacks. The fiery sheath can be reshaped by his willpower to cover only the body areas Johnny wants covered. For example, in order to carry someone, he would leave his arms fire-free.

Flame Control: Johnny has Unearthly (100) control over all forms of flame, whether natural or power-created. He can animate, extinguish, or amplify any fire within one area of his location. He can in-crease or decrease the Intensity of any flame or heat attack by his own Unearthly (100) rank. He can do this even if he is not aflame at the time. He has developed his Power into a number of Power Stunts.
  • Self-Duplication: Johnny can create up to 10 duplicates of himself by shaping his flames to resemble his Human Torch appearance. These duplicates last as long as he concentrates on maintaining them.
  • Johnny can shape and maintain cages, barriers, and other restraining shapes out of his flames. They last for as long as he concentrates on them, and do Amazing (50) damage to anyone who tries to pass through them.
  • Nova absorption: If forced to, Johnny can absorb up to Shift X (150) Intensity heat and flame. He can maintain this extreme energy level for up to ten turns; then he must release it in a Nova Flame.
  • Self-ignition: If Johnny is hav-ing trouble flaming on, he can absorb the heat in his immediate vicinity and use it to kindle his own flame. This drops the temperature in each adjacent area by 30 degrees.
Flight: Johnny can fly with Excellent (20) speed (150 mph). When he does so, he leaves a fiery trail that persists for an additional five turns. This power only functions when he is aflame.

Resistance - fire, heat: Johnny has Class 1000 Resistance to heat and fire based attacks. This functions no matter which state he assumes. If he was not aflame beforehand, resisting more than Monstrous (75) heat causes him to flame on automatically.

WEAKNESSES:
  • Most of Johnny’s powers can be used only if he is aflame. Consequently, anything that inhibits combustion can knock out his powers. Such inhibitors include Cold-based attacks of Shift X (150) Intensity or removing the oxygen from his environment by immersing him, covering him with an extinguishing substance, or removing all the air from his vicinity.
  • Depending on the nature and Intensity of the fire-negating attack, Johnny may suffer additional damage as well. However, wearing an “atmoweb” of Reed’s design, Johnny can function in a vacuum or under the water for several hours at a time.
  • The flames of the Human Torch can also be disrupted by other flames at precisely the right temperature. Any other character with Fire Generation can upset the Torch’s flames (doing Remarkable (30) force damage) by making a Power FEAT at Unearthly (100) intensity.
TALENTS: Mechanic; Pilot – land; Repair/Tinkering

HISTORY
Johnny Storm and his older sister, Sue, lived uneventfully on Long Island until their mother, Mary Storm, died in an automobile accident. Their father, Franklin Storm, a doctor, failed to save her. Despondent, Franklin descended into booze and gambling, eventually winding up in a penitentiary for murder. The children went to live with their aunt Marygay. Growing up in suburban Glenville, Johnny Storm was drawn to automobiles, despite his mother's death in a car accident, and became quite a mechanic at a young age.

While still a teenager, he selflessly rescued two of his friends from a burning building. No stranger to adventure, Johnny was nearly chosen as the human host of the demonic Zarathos, and was attacked by the legendary St. Germaine, who sought the power for himself. Johnny escaped the lure of Zarathos with the help of archaeologist Max Parrish, the uncle of Cammy Brandeis, on whom Johnny had a bit of a crush.

Following his sister, Johnny joined scientist Reed Richards and pilot Ben Grimm on an unauthorized space flight. Riddled with cosmic radiation, Johnny transformed into a flaming monster when the flight crashed back to earth. Calling him-self Human Torch in tribute to the World War II era hero of the same name, the youthful Johnny found new adventure as part of the Fantastic Four, proving to be an invaluable if somewhat volatile member of the team.

Falling out with his teammates after a battle with the Miracle Man, John-ny left the group and encountered amnesiac World War II hero Namor the Sub-Mariner. Recognizing Namor from comic books, Johnny dropped him into the sea, hoping to restore his memory. The plan worked, but after Namor found Atlantis in ruins, he declared war on humanity. Johnny rejoined the Fantastic Four and together they drove Namor back into the sea. Later, the immature Johnny again considered quitting the Fantastic Four, this time to joining his cousin Bones' circus, but quickly returned to the team.

Though a member of the world-famous Fantastic Four, Johnny was still a teenage Glenville High student, albeit one who regularly clashed with super-powered men-aces. Johnny even tried to conceal his dual identity from most of the locals at first, though this proved futile as the true identities of all four Fantastic Four founders were widely known almost from the start. In solo action (and sometimes assist-ed by his teammate the Thing or his sister), he fought the communist Destroyer and Rabble Rouser; the Wizard; Zemu, Warlord of the 5th Dimension; Paste Pot Pete; Acro-bat; Wilhelm van Vile, the enigmatic Painter of 1000 Perils; the Sorcerer of Glenville Woods; the Asbestos Man; the original Eel; the Plant Man; the Sandman; the Puppet Master, the modern-day pirate Captain Barracuda, whom Johnny defeated in the first of several team-ups with his super-heroic elemental opposite Iceman; the Terrible Trio and the Beetle.

Super-villains, however, weren't Johnny's only rivals. Mike Snow, a member of the Glenville High wrestling squad, bullied Johnny until an accidental flare-up of the Torch's powers scarred Snow's face. Despite their animosity, Snow concealed the incident, blaming the injuries on a prank gone wrong and maintaining that Johnny had actual-ly saved his life that night by flying him to the hospital. While Mike tried to move on with his life, Johnny did the same, dating fellow student Dorrie Evans, although she eventually grew tired of his constant dis-appearances and broke it off. Johnny met another teenage hero, Spider-Man, who broke into the Baxter Building hoping to impress the Fantastic Four. They clashed when the Fox framed Spider-Man for stealing a Da Vinci painting. Despite their early misunderstandings, the Torch had great respect for Spider-Man and the two eventually became good friends.

When the Super-Skrull, possessing the combined powers of the Fantastic Four, attacked the team, the Human Torch managed to trap him inside a cave, but the Super-Skrull escaped and impersonated Franklin Storm. The Four exposed the Super-Skrull, but the Skrulls strapped a bomb to the real Franklin's chest, and Franklin sacrificed his own life to save his children. A trip to the Skrull homeworld and the death of Warlord Morrat, the Skrull who authorized Franklin's murder, brought some measure of revenge, but this would not be the last time the Skrulls would interfere in Johnny's life.

After graduating high school, John-ny enrolled in Metro College, where he befriended his roommate, Wyatt Wingfoot. Wyatt joined Johnny and the Fantastic Four on a trip to Wakanda, where they first encountered the Black Panther and helped him defeat Klaw.

Around this time, Johnny met the young Inhuman Crystal. It was love at first sight, and Johnny, along with the rest of the Fantastic Four, helped her overthrow the mad In-human prince Maximus. Their love was passionate but short-lived, as Crystal returned to Attilan and married Quicksilver, the son of Magneto, eventually bearing his child. Johnny was crushed, but tried to move on. Hoping to catch up on old times with Dorrie Evans, he found that she had married and had two kids since they had broken up. De-spite dropping out of Metro U, Johnny remained friends with Wyatt, who often participated in the Fantastic Four's adventures and was later romantically linked to the She-Hulk.

When Johnny's sister Sue and her husband Reed were separated, Johnny joined the Thing, Medusa and Thundra in a staged battle against the rehabilitated Namor in an effort to bring the couple back together. Their ploy worked, and Sue and Reed patched things up for good.

Seeking direction in his life, Johnny was tricked into attending the high-class Security College, a front for the Monocle, an agent of the megalomaniac Enclave, who used him to steal top-secret high-tech weapons. Spider-Man broke the Monocle's control of the Torch. Johnny then joined the rest of the Fantastic Four in space, where they helped the Champions of Xandar against the invading Skrulls. When Johnny's teammates were dying from a Skrull aging ray, Johnny destroyed the robotic assassin Skrull X, allowing the infirm Reed to use his weapon to reverse the aging.

Hearing of the execution of David George Munson, his former high school classmate, Johnny helped the NYPD clear his name and nabbed several leading members of the Maggia criminal organization, including Hammerhead. After a brief relationship with auto mechanic Lorrie Melton, Johnny fell for Frankie Raye, a woman who was desperately afraid of his flames. Frankie eventually discovered that her pyrophobia stemmed from being hypnotized by her late stepfather, Phineas Horton (creator of the android Human Torch), into forget-ting that he had accidentally given her flame powers of her own. Johnny helped Frankie adjust to her re-discovered powers as their relation-ship blossomed, but when Galactus returned to Earth, Frankie agreed to follow him into space as his new herald, Nova. Distraught, Johnny was comforted by Frankie's former roommate, Julie Angel, and began to have feelings for her. Confusing matters further, Julie's friend, Sharon Selleck, had a crush on Johnny. Julie eventually moved to California to continue her acting career, and nothing came of Sharon's crush.

Johnny was briefly abducted by agents of the Messiah (Alden Maas) in his mad plot to expand the Earth by super-heating its core. Brought to Battleworld by the Beyonder during the Secret Wars and forced to battle various super-villains, Johnny met and was healed by Zsaji, a native of the planet. Physically but not emotionally attracted to Zsaji, Johnny found an unlikely rival in Colossus, who fell in love with the healer. Although Zsaji returned Johnny's affection at first, she eventually chose Colossus over the Torch, but then sacrificed her own life to rescue several dying heroes.

Johnny returned to Earth, where he found himself drawn to Alicia Masters, the longtime girlfriend of Johnny's then-absent Fantastic Four teammate, the Thing. Johnny and Alicia's romance helped estrange the Thing from the Fantastic Four for a lengthy period. Johnny hit his lowest point when Tommy Hanson, a young fan of his, set himself on fire in an attempt to be more like his hero. Hearing of the boy's death, Johnny considered retiring as the Human Torch, but the Beyonder managed to talk him out of it. Eventually Johnny married Alicia, but a jealous Thing offered a spot in the Fantastic Four to Crystal, who was separated from Quicksilver at the time. Johnny's old feelings for Crystal slowly returned, but his love for Alicia enabled him to resist temptation, and Crystal eventually left the team.

Despite their long and intimate relationship, Johnny was horrified to discover that the Alicia he loved and married was not the true Alicia Masters, but a Skrull imposter named Lyja. Originally sent to infiltrate and destroy the Fantastic Four, Lyja truly fell in love with Johnny and joined the Fantastic Four in con-fronting Paibok, the Skrull who had kidnapped the real Alicia. Lyja seemingly sacrificed her life to pro-tect Johnny, but her former lover Paibok nursed her back to health. Trying to move on from yet another failed relationship, Johnny enrolled at Empire State University; but Devos, Paibok, and even Lyja at-tacked Johnny at ESU, forcing his powers to go nova, burning down a large section of the campus. Johnny briefly became a fugitive until Reed agreed to sell some of his patents to pay for the damages. Lyja re-turned to Johnny's life again, tricking him into believing she was carrying his baby. When this proved a lie as well, Johnny left her again.

Johnny briefly joined his nephew Franklin's Fantastic Force team, where he battled his virtually omnipotent extra-dimensional counterpart Vangaard (formerly Gaard), convincing him to abandon his mission of eliminating redundant realities by showing him the hero he could become. Lyja posed as stu-dent Laura Green and dated John-ny to stay close to him; Johnny recognized her when they kissed though he didn't share this until later, but the two never had the chance to explore their true feelings.

After Franklin Richards created Counter-Earth and rescued the Fantastic Four, Avengers, and several other heroes from death at the hands of Onslaught, Roma deemed Franklin too powerful to ignore, and sent the Technet and the Captain Britain Corps to retrieve him. The Human Torch convinced Roma that Franklin's family, the Fantastic Four, would be able to nurture him so that he would not grow up to be a danger to the Omniverse.

While the rest of the Fantastic Four battled the Gideon Trust and Annihilus in the Negative Zone, Johnny was forced to recruit a temporary Fantastic Four team consisting of Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Johnny's on-and-off girlfriend Namorita (Namor's cousin), and the She-Hulk, who battled the Gideon Trust on Earth. When the cosmic entity Abraxas came to Earth-616, Johnny teamed with an extra-dimensional version of the now-deceased Frankie Raye to retrieve the Ultimate Nullifier, a weapon powerful enough to destroy Abraxas. This Nova betrayed John-ny and gave the Nullifier to her master, Abraxas, but even that couldn't save Abraxas after Galactus joined the fight. Following the battle, Susan found herself pregnant again, and, with Reed off battling the Hidden Ones, Johnny was forced to seek help from Dr. Doom when problems with the pregnancy threatened Sue's life. Doom saved both Sue and her daughter, Valeria.

Seeking an acting career, Johnny was cast as the Rawhide Kid in a summer blockbuster; but it was eventually decided he wasn't ready for the role, which was given to Lon Zelig (actually the Super-Skrull). Johnny also spent some time as a firefighter at the behest of his former classmate, Mike Snow; but when Snow moved away after his wife turned out to be a psychotic arsonist and seemingly died, Johnny left the job (though he later re-turned to the profession during a period when the Fantastic Four was short on cash). Sick of her brother's directionless life, Sue forced him to take a job as the Chief Financial Officer for Fantastic Four, Inc. Although initially in over his head, Johnny was able to stop a manufacturer from stealing the secret of Reed's Unstable Molecule suits, and began to warm up to both the job and his co-worker, Jian Fetta.

Unfortunately, after a major battle with Doom, Reed attempted to claim Latveria for the Fantastic Four, an act that turned the United States government against them. To escape trial, the group was forced to sell many of their patents and holdings to the government, which left Johnny's wallet much emptier than usual and sent his popularity plummeting. Seeking help from the least popular person he could think of, Johnny contacted Spider-Man, who tried to cheer Johnny up by bringing him to a water park, where they were attacked by Hydro-Man. Easily defeating the villain and rescuing the park's popular mascot, Johnny found his popularity rising once more. Johnny also began to converse with a new girl over the internet and hit it off when he finally met her. This girl, Cole, turned out to be the daughter of one of Johnny's oldest enemies, the Wizard; but although she was sent to trick the Fantastic Four, Cole actually helped lead them to the Wizard's lair, where they battled him and his new Frightful Four. The Wizard escaped and took Cole with him, but Johnny remained hopeful about meeting her again.

An alien named Zius later came to Earth, the location of the one being in the universe who could nullify his Galactus-proof planet-cloaking in-visibility shield, Susan Richards. Zius threatened to destroy the planet if Sue did not sacrifice herself, but Reed used his power gun to switch her powers with Johnny's and tricked Zius into leaving the planet. As he left orbit, Galactus destroyed Zius's spaceship and claimed Johnny as his new Herald. Unwilling to lead Galactus to populated worlds, Johnny used his new powers to analyze Galactus and, with the help of the Fantastic Four and Quasar, managed to transform Galactus back into humanoid form. Johnny's power cosmic faded, but during Reed's subsequent efforts to reverse Sue and Johnny's power switch, a remnant of the power caused a flare-up that temporarily sent the Fantastic Four's powers into four random New Yorkers.

The super-human Civil War split the team once again. Johnny was beat-en into a brief coma during a visit to a nightclub, sparked by anger over the Stamford disaster. When he finally awoke none of his team-mates were there to greet him due to their duties of helping Iron Man's pro-registration faction. After the death of Bill Foster during a battle between the two factions, Johnny went with his sister, Sue, to join Captain America's "Secret Avengers". Through Nick Fury's connections, the two were given new identities as husband and wife, which they accepted (with understandable reluctance).

At the end of the Civil War, Johnny and Sue returned to the Fantastic Four. Johnny and the Thing continued to serve on the team again, but this time with the Black Panther and his new wife Storm filling in while Reed and Sue took some time to reconcile.

During the Skrull Invasion, a Skrull invaded the Baxter Building, posing as Sue, and sent it into the Negative Zone, with Johnny, Ben, Frank-lin and Valeria inside. When Johnny confronted the Skrull, she revealed herself to be his old flame, Lyja, who had been trying to keep them out of harm's way. When Ben, Johnny, Franklin, Val and the Tinkerer were ready to leave the Negative Zone she refused to leave, be-cause she wanted to find out who she was.

While Reed and Sue were gone from the Baxter Building of their own important missions, a group known as the Cult of the Negative Zone successfully made their way into the building and breached the portal to the Negative Zone. Once inside, the cult managed to unleash what seemed to be an endless ar-my of Annihilus Insectoid Soldiers upon Johnny, the currently power-less Ben, and the kids of the Future Foundation. Franklin revealed that he had his powers back by destroying the army and the group pushed into the Negative Zone, where the only way to hold the army off from getting through the door was to lock the door from their side and randomize the code so no one could get in or out. Ben was prepared to make the sacrifice, but Johnny threw him through the portal as he regained his powers. Johnny used his nova flame, but still couldn't burn the whole army and was captured. Annihilus demanded that Johnny opened the portal to Earth, but he refused and was killed.

Three times Johnny was resurrect-ed by worms-healers, but every time he burned them before they had time to recover his body and he died again and again. Finally, worms have been able to recover his body, and Johnny was sent to prison, where he met with the Light Brigade. Together they escaped, attacked Annihilus and Johnny took away his Cosmic Control Rod. After that Johnny opened a portal to the Baxter Building and they all re-turned to Earth.

Then Johnny gathered the team drawing with fire the symbolical "4" at the sky above the Baxter Building. Reed, Sue, Ben and Peter boarded one of the Annihilation Wave's ships controlled by Johnny, who used the rest of the ships to battle the Kree army until the Inhumans asked to finish them by their own hand. Meanwhile the other heroes on Earth where dealing with the scraps of the battle which could damage the Earth, Reed and Sue summons Galactus, who destroys completely the Kree army. That moment, the Mad Celestials appeared to destroy this universe. Although the team tried to use the Hub (a weapon of mass destruction created by the Reeds), they couldn't defeat the Mad Celestials. Then, a future version of Franklin and Vale-ria appeared as part of Nathaniel Richards's plan. The Future Franklin used his power to heal Galactus and destroy the Mad Celestials, saving the day. Later, the Baxter Building was easily rebuilt, Mr. Fantastic showed a new secondary headquarters called Foundation and new costumes were given to the members of the Future Foundation, as part of the reformation of the Fantastic Four.

When New York was invaded by monsters from the Counter-Earth, Johnny Storm sacrificed his powers in order to stop them. He managed to partially cope with the loss of his powers and focused on his musical career. During a second invasion caused by the Quiet Man, Johnny was helping some of the allies of the Fantastic Four escape from the Counter-Earth when the portals from it were closed by Mister Fantastic. The resulting radiation gave Johnny his powers back.

When the universe, and the entirety of the Multiverse, came to an end as a consequence of a phenomena known as incursions, Reed Richards was one of the few survivors. Following a subsequent adventure in Battleworld, Reed took omnipotent power from Battleworld's creator Doctor Doom and began to re-store the Multiverse together with Sue and most of the Future Foundation. Since he knew Doom would eternally resent him, Reed altered his memories to make him think he was dead, hoping Victor would be-come a better man if he didn't pursue ultimate power and also believed his greatest rival to be gone. Reed decided to also alter the memories of the Human Torch and The Thing, leaving them behind on Earth-616 with Victor so they could keep him in check, while the rest of the Future Foundation went on a journey creating and charting new universes. Since Ben and Johnny believed the rest of their family to be dead, the Fantastic Four were disbanded.

The only remaining members of the Fantastic Four, Johnny and Ben, parted ways. Johnny started working with the Inhumans, and had a short-lived romance with Medusa herself, though it eventually fell apart when she attempted to return to her estranged husband Black Bolt. The Human Torch had joined the Avengers Unity Division as a representative of the Inhumans along with telepath Synapse, and remained as part of the team even after stopping collaborating with the Inhumans. During this time, Johnny grew close to the team's de facto leader Rogue.

Not long afterwards, Johnny gained full possession of Reed's patents and licensing fee settlements as his sole living heir, becoming a billionaire. He decided to invest that money in a series of charities and bur-saries to support the development of a better world. He additionally bought the abandoned Avengers Mansion, which had become the headquarters of the Unity Division, establishing a company to manage the building and its staff.

In order to help Johnny cope with the loss of their family, Ben convinced him to go on a multiversal journey using the Multisect, claiming that the device could help them find their family. During their journey, Johnny found out that Ben didn't actually believe the rest of their family was alive. The duo eventually returned to their native universe empty-handed, though Johnny started to hold the wishful belief that his family wasn't gone.

Ben and Johnny were reunited with Reed, Sue and the rest of the Future Foundation after Reed summoned them to help them fight a mysterious powerful being called the Griever at the End of All Things who repudiated the Future Foundation's mission of creating new universes, and confronted the team as soon as Franklin was depleted of his ability to create entirely new realities.

HISTORY
James "Jimmy" Marks is the product of cross-breeding between an Earth woman (Marjorie Marks) and a Dire Wraith (Jacob Marks - assumed identity). The Wraith who took the form of Jacob Marks was one of the surviving members that fled after the disastrous assault on Galador. Alone he found his way to Earth where he crash landed and assumed the shape of a human. To further his disguise, he courted Marjorie Seaton and developed feelings for her. They were married and a child was born. For years the Marks family lived a normal life until Jacob was found by other Wraiths that had arrived on Earth. They took over the training of young Jimmy and opened his eyes to his sorcerous heritage and indoctrinating him in Wraith doctrine. Jimmy soon far outstripped his mentors in ability to their dismay and fear. His evil penchant became ascendant and he began torturing the farm's livestock.

Professor Xavier was alerted to the presence of a powerful mutant by Cerebro and dispatched the X-men to investigate. At the same time, Rom was alerted to the probability that Jacob Marks was a Dire Wraith and he too proceeded to the Marks farm with Steve Jackson and Brandy Clark. There they found Marjorie Marks emaciated and aged to the point of death and Jacob Marks who revealed himself willingly to Rom. Steve and Brandy took Marjorie to find medical help and Rom confronted Jimmy who revealed his true Hybrid form to Rom's horror. As the battle began, the X-men arrived to find a seemingly young child being attacked by what they thought was a robot. Hybrid took control of Storm's powers to whip up a blizzard and separate the combatants. Throughout the disjointed battle it became clear that there was a great evil at work, not of Rom's doing. Hybrid attempts to take Sprite as one of his future concubines to sire a new race like him to dominate both Wraiths and humans. Wolverine attempts to use Rom's Neutralizer on Hybrid and is severely shocked by its self-defense mechanism. As Hybrid approached Sprite, Rom grabs him and instructs Sprite on how to use her phasing powers to adjust the Neutralizer's settings to kill. Sprite then fires on Hybrid while Rom is restraining him which banished both Rom and Hybrid to Limbo.

Hybrid would escape and enlist the help of the Sisterhood of Evil Mutants against Rom until Destiny reveals Hybrid's true goals of enslaving them as concubines to Mystique. They choose to aid Rom and Rogue is able to use her powers to sap Hybrid's powers giving Rom the opportunity to once again banish Hybrid.

Years later Hybrid was able to slip through a portal opened to Limbo and begin to recoalesce himself into a physical form. He took the form of a youth and emerged out of a river at a church baptismal ceremony. The preacher took it as a sign of a miracle and took Jimmy Marks in. He would then come into confrontation with Professor Xavier and his New Mutants in Cannon-ball's home in Kentucky. Once again seeking female mutants to enslave and mate with, he captured them. Rom and Starshine confront him, but his powers had grown. As Rom tries to banish him, he seizes control of his armor forcing him to turn his Neutralizer on himself. He then strips Brandy Clark from the Starshine armor and prepares her to be his bride. Magik escapes by teleporting to Limbo where she encounters Rom in battle with Dire Wraiths. She rescues him and they once more take on Hybrid. This time, Magik uses her Soulsword to cut Hybrid's power which allows Rom to once again destroy him.

Hybrid later returned by being able to coalesce his atoms through sheer force of will thanks to his vast psionic powers. However he was trapped in his Jimmy Marks persona due to the immense strain of the method of his reformation process. The hybrid persona locked in Jimmy's subconscious managed to make contact with a powerful telepath Nate Grey in order to unwittingly use Nate to reassert his dominance of his Jimmy Marks psych. A heated telepathic and telekinetic battle ensued between the two but Nate eventually found Hybrid's weakness and was able to atomize him again through a single powerful psi-blast.

Hybrid was depowered on M-Day. But several years later, he regained his powers when Wraithworld returned to Earth-616.

He joined the Avengers Academy after those saved him from a Purifiers commando, whom he killed before they could reveal his true nature. He did so for two reasons, one to feed on superhumans, two to use females with powers to breed an army for him as he described them as "PRIME breeding stocks".

Reptil who was possessed by his older self-helped him so the timeline and the future don't change so his daughter be born but had change in the heart and sound the alarm when the other came they found him controlling the other student into attacking them. Together students and faculty of the Academy managed to win Hybrid and banish him from this dimension thanks to Jocasta's timely intervention.

KNOWN POWERS:
Invisibility (Physics type): Sue possesses Excellent (20) rank Invisibility. She can make herself transparent to visible light, but not infrared, ultra-violet, radiowaves, nor hard radiation. She can be harmed by attacks and detected by senses that use these forms of energy. She can project this power into an invisibility field that covers a single target site of up to 40,000 cubic feet in volume at a maximum range of six areas.
She can use her power to make a target invisible while remaining visible herself. She has perfected this Stunt in ways such as “peeling away” visual barriers to reveal their hidden contents or the everyday act of wearing her invisible costume under her street clothes. Sue has also developed the ability to use her power to negate another’s use of physics-type Invisibility; this interference renders the target visible.

Force Field: Sue can generate a psionic energy field of Monstrous (75) rank. This gives her rank protection against physical and energy attacks and extremes in her environment. The Force Field can be modified instantaneously to allow or block the passage of air. The Force Field can protect a single area at full strength.
For each doubling of the area Sue protects with her field, the rank drops by -1CS. Thus Sue can cover up to 256 areas with only Feeble (2) protection. The power is a function of Sue’s conscious mind; as such, it cannot function if Sue is unconscious or if her higher reasoning is somehow controlled by another. Sue has developed her power into a variety of stunts, any of which can be used without cost.
  • Kinetic Bolt: Sue can channel her power into a surge that does Power rank damage. She can alter the k-bolt’s shape at will to create wide, blunt cylinders, sharp needles, or a flurry of invisible spheres.
  • Landing cushion: Sue can project her power to form a cushion that can absorb the inertia of falling targets and absorb up to Monstrous damage.
  • Flight: Sue can lift herself up six stories onto her force field, then rapidly change its shape to carry her swiftly through the air. She can travel at 2 areas per round for a maximum of four hours before she needs rest. (To an onlooker, it appears that Sue has a low altitude form of Flight.)
  • Power Negation: By forming her field around a super-powered target, Sue can block the release of that target’s powers. This in turn frees her victim’s own targets from any continuing attacks they were suffering. This Stunt only works against physical, or energy powers whose ranks are less than Sue’s Monstrous (75) rank. Suffocation: The Invisible Woman can attempt an Amazing rank FEAT roll against a target’s Agility to project her force field around his head (or whatever bodily part an alien might use to breathe), isolating the target from breathable air. Treat such victims as suffering the effects of suffocation

HISTORY
Susan Storm and her younger brother, Johnny, lived uneventfully on Long Island until their mother, Mary Storm, died in an automobile accident. Their father, Franklin Storm, a doctor, failed to save her. Despondent, he began to drink and gambled away the family fortune, eventually winding up in a penitentiary for murder after accidentally killing his loan shark. The children went to live with their Aunt Mary Jewel Dinkins, who ran a boardinghouse. When Susan was in her late teens, she fell in love with one of her aunt's boarders, Reed Richards, who was working on his third doctorate at Empire State University. Sue later followed Richards to California, where she half-heartedly tried to break into show business.

Reed was working on an experimental starship when the project lost its government funding. He decided to launch the prototype, certain that the flight would succeed and attract more funding. Susan went along for her own reasons: patriotism? Love of adventure? Loyalty? Romantic gesture? Ben Grimm, a test pilot, took the controls. Johnny filled out the crew. Reed had made one mistake: he failed to shield the cabin from cos-mic rays, and a chance solar flare intensified the radiation. The experience gave each of them superhuman abilities, and perhaps more importantly, it forged almost un-breakable bonds between them. They became the Fantastic Four, and Storm took the name Invisible Girl.

In the early years of the Fantastic Four, Sue spent much of her time keeping the team together. Reed spent long hours in his laboratory; Grimm moped over his appearance; Johnny acted out like any teenager. Her power of invisibility had little use in battling super-villains such as Doctor Doom and Galactus, but her empathy and common sense pre-vented several breakups and defections. Even though she was best suited to act as spokesperson for the Fantastic Four, she would have encountered resistance in the early 1960s, so Richards took on that job as well. Her discontent manifested itself in an attraction to Namor, who returned her affections, but the relationship effectively ended after Namor abducted Sue in an attempt to persuade her to be his queen.

She soon discovered new powers: she could turn other objects (besides herself) invisible and project and manipulate powerful force fields. Although unable to perform offensively on a par with the Thing, she could defend against almost any threat.

When the Super-Skrull, possessing the combined powers of the Fantastic Four, attacked the team, the Human Torch managed to trap him inside a cave, but the Super-Skrull escaped and impersonated Sue's father, Franklin Storm. The Four exposed the Super-Skrull, but the Skrulls strapped a bomb to the real Franklin's chest, and Franklin sacrificed his own life to save his children. A trip to the Skrull homeworld and the death of Warlord Morrat, the Skrull who authorized Franklin's murder, brought some measure of revenge.

Sue eventually married Reed in a wedding ceremony attended by most of the world's heroes. A difficult pregnancy followed, during which Crystal of the Inhumans took her place on the team. At the last moment, to save the unborn child, the Fantastic Four had to visit the Negative Zone and borrow the Cosmic Control Rod of Annihilus. Her son Franklin, named after her father, manifested strong and unusual powers almost immediately. When Annihilus kidnapped Franklin and triggered those powers, he turned Franklin into a living bomb and caused his powers to increase exponentially and uncontrollably, until Franklin threatened to wipe out all life in the solar system with a psychic blast. Reed was left with no choice but to inhibit Franklin's high-er brain functions in order to defuse him. It was the last straw for Sue, who left Mr. Fantastic and took Franklin with her.

During Sue Storm's second hiatus, the Inhuman Medusa took her place. The old bonds, though, drew Susan back to the team and led her to rekindle her relationship with Reed. Franklin was restored to normal soon after, and the Richards family was back together once more.

During an extended trip to the Negative Zone, a sort of second honeymoon, she conceived another child. Seeking some peace for this pregnancy, Sue convinced Mr. Fantastic to move to the Connecticut suburbs, where they posed as the Benjamins. This unborn daughter began to give off radiation. Despite the efforts of Mr. Fantastic and several other experts, the girl was apparently stillborn.

Psycho-Man took advantage of Sue's fragile self-control at this point and amplified her negative emotions. She became Malice, with all of the Invisible Girl's powers but none of her restraint, and attacked the Fantastic Four. Mr. Fantastic helped her throw off Psycho-Man's influence, but she lost control again when the Fantastic Four confronted Psycho-Man; she turned his own Control Box on him, which shorted out his nervous system and nearly killed him. The episode would have lasting effects: the Invisible Girl changed her name to Invisible Woman; she discovered how to use Force Objects (see Powers below); and in the long term, she lost a measure of self-confidence, knowing that Malice still lurked inside her.

Sue left the Fantastic Four again, this time with Mr. Fantastic, to spend time with Franklin, who had regained his faculties and needed full-time mentoring. They worked part-time with the Avengers for a while. They also helped the Silver Surfer resuscitate Galactus, during which Sue came in contact with the Infinity Gems. Distrustful of such power, she fell prey to Malice again. The soul gem tried and failed to combine Reed's and Sue's souls, which brought forth the In-Betweener and sent Malice back to Sue's subconscious.

The Fantastic Four, as always, pulled them back. During the Infinity War, Sue had to confront her doppelganger and incorporate its evil into herself. That boost allowed Malice to regain control temporarily.

Later, claiming that Franklin's presence in this timeline would lead to destruction, Reed Richards' father Nathaniel abducted the child into the future. Nathaniel raised Franklin for years in the future, training him to be a warrior and to master his superhuman powers. The adolescent Franklin journeyed back in time, arriving in the Fantastic Four's headquarters mere moments after Nathaniel had abducted him as a child. The teenage Franklin called himself Psi-Lord, and wielded vast psionic powers, although they remained far short of his full potential.

Sue struggled against Malice's influence, inevitably losing ground. When Malice manifested again, Psi-Lord drew Malice's essence into himself. Finally, however, Psi-Lord somehow was removed from the Fantastic Four's time and was re-placed by the child Franklin, as he had been at the time that Nathaniel had abducted him.

That was only the beginning of a tumultuous period. Reed disappeared for some time, apparently killed by Victor Von Doom. Sue Storm became leader of the Fantastic Four, recruited Ant-Man to take over Reed's role, and quickly grew into her new responsibilities. Effectively a widow, Sue had to fend off many potentials suitors, especially Namor. She never gave up looking for Richards, though, and after a long search, she found him strand-ed in the past. Their reunion was bittersweet; Reed felt threatened at first by Sue's newfound competence and confidence, particularly since months trapped in isolation had left him severely traumatized, paranoid, and indecisive, although he soon realized he was foolish for thinking so. After Reed's return, Namor realized he still had feelings for Sue and assaulted her in an attempt to "claim" her for himself. Reed successfully fended him off.

The whole team appeared to die next, in the final battle with Onslaught, who had kidnapped Franklin. Instead they (and the Avengers) found themselves on Counter-Earth, in a pocket universe Franklin had created to save them. In a sense, they had been reborn and had to start their lives over. Once the heroes on Counter-Earth realized what had happened, they re-turned to their original homes.

An even more surprising resurrection unfolded during the team's real-ity-warping conflict with the cosmic being Abraxas when Franklin revealed he had used his powers to rescue Sue's seemingly stillborn second child years earlier, and that this child had been raised in an alternate future to become the Marvel Girl (Valeria Von Doom) who was now an ally of the present-day Fantastic Four. As a side-effect of Abraxas's defeat, Marvel Girl was restored to her original state, as an unborn child in Sue's womb. This time, Sue's pregnancy resulted in the birth of a healthy baby girl, christened Valeria in memory of Doctor Doom's first love. (Doom had insisted on naming the child in exchange for assisting with the difficult birth.)

To help Johnny develop responsibility, Sue forced him to become the business manager for Fantastic Four, Inc., a job he gradually grew into.

Doom's favors, as always, had strings attached. His main focus had shifted from science to sorcery, and he used his special bond with Valeria as a focus to cast spells against the Fantastic Four. He soon defeated them, captured all four, tossed Franklin into Hell, abducted Valeria, and tortured Ben, Johnny, and Sue while Reed listened helplessly. Doom's own hubris led to his downfall--his infernal patrons dragged him to the underworld of Haazareth. Prior to being dragged to Hell, however, Doom vindictively--and seemingly permanently--scarred Reed's face.

The Fantastic Four were left reeling, both mentally and physically, after Doom's vicious attack. Sue struggled to help heal her son, who was so traumatized by his time being tortured in Hell that he shut down emotionally and lost the ability to speak.

With Doom gone, Richards claimed Latveria in the name of the Fantastic Four and began dismantling Doom's arsenal. The international community saw it as a test of sovereignty and protested. It resulted that Reed's invasion of Latveria was part of a plan to defeat Doom permanently and thus ensure his family's safety. Doom returned to find himself in an inescapable trap of Reed's making, which Reed had constructed in order to ensure Doom could no longer harm his family. Unaware of his plans, the rest of the Fantastic Four burst in to rescue Reed, and, in an attempt to escape, Doom possessed Sue, then Ben. While in a possessed Ben's body, Doom grabbed Johnny and vindictively threatened to break him in two if Reed did not murder his best friend. Ben temporarily broke free of Doom's control long enough to beg Reed to kill him, since he had no desire to be even indirectly responsible for Johnny's death, and Reed, left with no other choice, complied. While Johnny wept and Sue comforted him, Reed spent the next hour frantically trying to resuscitate his best friend but did not succeed.

Sue did her best to comfort her husband, but he was too lost in his grief and guilt to forgive himself for what Doom had forced him to do. She attempted to mend fences be-tween Reed and Johnny, who was struggling to forgive Reed for Ben's death, despite the fact that Johnny's failure to follow Reed's orders had led directly to Doom's possession of Ben and Ben's subsequent death. Reed convinced Sue and Johnny to follow him to Heaven, where they succeeded in returning Grimm to life.

To avoid charges of treason for his invasion of Latveria, Reed gave up most of his patents and thus most of his income. He later took a job working for a top secret military project in an attempt to restore their lost fortune.

Later, an unscrupulous business manager swindled the Fantastic Four out of their fortunes, and, penniless once more, they took regular jobs and lived in regular homes. Sue became a teacher. She was forced to fend off Namor when he arrived and attempted to carry her off to Atlantis once again, although Reed soon arrived to help defend her. She also trained in martial arts under Iron Fist. Reed eventually revealed that he had allowed the loss of their fortune to occur be-cause he wanted to give them back the normal lives he believed they lost because of his failure to protect them. With few regrets, they re-turned to their former lives.

A game of musical powers ensued. A band of aliens, survivors of Galactus, came to Earth to neutralize Susan. They had developed a planetary cloaking device, and only Susan could help Galactus bypass their device. Reed Richards used another device that, as far as the aliens could tell, removed her powers; instead, it traded Sue's and Johnny's powers. The immediate threat over, Reed reversed the trade. As a "reward" for derailing the cloak project, Galactus made Johnny his new herald for a short time. An aftereffect of Johnny's power cosmic removed everyone's powers temporarily.

The Civil War split the team once again. Mr. Fantastic supported the Superhuman Registration Act, while Sue and Johnny joined the resistance, horrified over how the Thor clone killed to Goliath. Nick Fury provided both of them fake IDs as a husband and wife, much to their chagrin. During the final battle, however, Mr. Fantastic shielded Sue from a bullet fired by the Taskmaster and was severely wounded. She retaliated by using a force field to pound Taskmaster into the ground. Sue helped clean up New York in the aftermath of the war and, along with the other Secret Avengers, was granted amnesty. She reconciled with Reed and together they took a short hiatus from the team to work on their marriage.

Reed and Sue's vacation was over after the Frightful Four attacked them, then they returned to the team. During World War Hulk, Sue protected Reed but was subdued by the Green Goliath. Sometime after, the Richards hired a new nanny for their kids, Tabitha Deneuve. At the same time, a mysterious new group, calling themselves the New Defenders, committed robberies, and one of their members, Psionics, started a relationship with Johnny. After a bad break-up, Johnny was kidnapped by the Defenders, along with Doctor Doom and Galactus, to power a massive machine that was designed to apparently save the people of the future 500 years in the future, a plan orchestrated by Tabitha, who was revealed to be Susan Richards from 500 years in the fu-ture. Eventually, the modern-day Fantastic Four were able to save both the present Earth and the fu-ture Earth by sending the future inhabitants to the Earth Trust's private duplicate Nu-Earth, but after freeing Doctor Doom, the future Sue went to apologize to him and was electrocuted by Doom. As a means to honor her, Susan and the rest of the Fantastic Four held a funeral in honor of Susan and the family moved on.

While Susan was on a lecture tour in Vancouver, a Skrull posing as Mister Fantastic ambushed her, applying pressure to her skull with an invisible force field and knocking her out cold. Then, another Skrull infiltrated the Baxter Building in the guise of Susan and opened a portal into the Negative Zone, forcing the top three floors of the building into the Negative Zone, and in turn trap-ping herself, Johnny, Ben, and the two Richards children there. The Skrull impersonating her was later revealed to be Johnny's ex-wife Lyja, who once infiltrated the Fantastic Four by impersonating Ben Grimm's love interest Alicia Masters. The real Susan Richards was recovered alive from a downed Skrull ship after the final battle of the invasion.

Reed created a device called The Bridge to explore alternate realities. Meanwhile, Johnny, Sue, and Ben fought off the agents of H.A.M.M.E.R. Reed's machine sent Johnny, Ben and Sue to a different reality where a super hero civil war was happening sometime in the Hyborian Age. Reed continued to study parallel worlds where the Civil War ended differently to find the reason his reality had become the way it was while Ben, Sue, and Johnny traveled throughout col-lapsed space-time. When Reed shut down the Bridge and the others returned, Sue told Reed to destroy The Bridge. He did so, but then secretly put it back together, and met beings from another reality who told him how he could fix things.

While serving as a negotiator between both Old and New Atlantis, the King of Old Atlantis was assassinated by Namor, and Sue was, in accordance with Uhari tradition, subsequently made regent to the throne of Old Atlantis. Susan became the guardian of Vil and Wu, the heirs of the Uhari throne at The Peak. Sue returned to Baxter Building, so Uhari gave her a device to contact with her. At the same time, Johnny was fighting his last stand. Sue was devastated to learn of her brother's unexpected death.

Following the death of Johnny Storm, the rest of the team re-named themselves the Future Foundation, along with Spider-Man taking the place of the Human Torch. After one of the Reed Richards of another universe who came to Earth-616 by The Bridge destroyed The Peak, Susan returned to Baxter Building while the other part of the team was battling anoth-er Richards in High Evolutionary's city. After returning from battle, Reed reunited the Future Foundation, the Avengers, the New Avengers and many other heroes to attack Attilan, who were also participating in this war. At the moment the heroes were leaving the Baxter Building, a Kree army attacked New York City. Using her power and Iron Man's armor, Sue created a force field over Manhattan but was knocked down when the force field was broken. At the same time, the Cult of the Negative Zone entered the Baxter Building and opened the Negative Zone portal after Spider-Man failed to stop them. The portal revealed a living Johnny Storm with a enslaved Annihilus.

Then Johnny gathered the team drawing with fire the symbolic "4" at the sky above the Baxter Building. Then, a future ver-sion of Franklin and Valeria appeared as part of Nathaniel Richards's plan.

After a portal to the Counter-Earth was somehow opened, an invasion of monsters in New York resulted not only in the Human Torch losing his powers, but also the Fantastic Four being evicted from the Baxter Building, and the children of the Future Foundation being taken into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody. Soon after finding out years ago Johnny had ruined an opportunity for becoming normal, The Thing was arrested after being found next to the corpse of the Puppet Master. Additionally, Sue started becoming more violent, Johnny lost track on his life, and Reed started becoming erratic. After concluding that somebody was behind their misfortune, the Fantastic Four decided to go to the bottom of it, and find Reed, who had recently disappeared, actually having being kidnapped by the man pulling the strings, the villain known as the Quiet Man.

The Fantastic Four were reunited when Johnny was brought to his senses, he and Sue helped free The Thing from the Power House, and Reed escaped from the Quiet Man. While the Quiet Man unleashed an invasion of creatures from the Counter-Earth, the FF en-listed the help of the Sleepwalker in order to find the source of the monstrosities that came from it by exploring Franklin's subconsciousness, who was revealed to be the Psycho-Man.

Back in his headquarters, the Quiet Man tried to activate the code that would shut off the portals from the Counter-Earth and render the invading forces inert, to make himself look like the hero, however, the Psycho-Man had betrayed him and created a defense wall so he could then control both the Counter-Earth and the Earth with his monstrous army. Mister Fantastic and Valeria came with a solution to finally shut down the creatures and save the world, meanwhile, as he was helping his allies escape from the Counter-Earth, Johnny recovered his powers due to the resulting radia-tion caused by the closing of one of the portals.

When Steve Rogers rallied the Avengers to capture the Illuminati; Reed being one of the members of this cabal, Sue joined forces with S.H.I.E.L.D. to allegedly help them capture the fugitive team. However, Sue was instead helping Reed, using information from S.H.I.E.L.D. to help her husband and the Illuminati evade capture.

During the final incursion that threatened the existence of the uni-verse, Sue and the rest of the Future Foundation worked on a life raft to escape the death of the universe. The raft's hull was breached at the last moment, costing the lives of the Invisible Woman and the rest of Reed's family. Following an adventure in Battleworld, a patchwork planet comprised of the remnants of the final realities to be destroyed that was ruled with an iron fist by Doctor Doom, Reed gained the power of the Beyonders, and used it to resurrect his family, including Susan. The Future Foundation was reunited, and they began a journey to rebuild the entire Multiverse. Back on the Fantastic Four's native universe, the entire world believed the Richards and the Future Foundation to be dead, having allegedly sacrificed themselves to stop the final incursion. Only Ben and Johnny were active on Earth, having been left behind by Reed to keep an eye on Doctor Doom.

Years following the Future Foundation's multiversal adventures, a mysterious being called the Griever at the End of All Things who repudiated the Future Foundation's mission of creating new universes con-fronted the team as soon as Frank-lin was depleted of his ability to create entirely new realities. She caused the collapse of the hundreds of universes charted by the Future Foundation, forcing the team to make a final stand. The Fantastic Four were reunited when Mister Fantastic tricked the Griever into giving them the chance to summon the remaining members of the Fantastic Four for backup. In addition to teleporting Ben and Johnny, Reed also brought every superhero who had been part of the team at one point in order to defeat the new foe.

Equipment - Iron Patriot Armor

Post by Sidious »

Background:
After the Invasion of Skrulls, Nor-man Osborn became the new world hero and replaced Tony Stark as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., or rather its successor H.A.M.M.E.R..

When he decided to create a new team of Avengers he felt the team needed the heroic images of Captain America and Iron Man. Thus he decided to create this battle suit painted with the colors of Captain America's costume which was cobbled together from StarkTech that had been confiscated from Tony Stark's armory at Stark Tower shortly after H.A.M.M.E.R.'s formation.

However, Osborn lacked the technical expertise on how to operate the armor's Repulsor generators efficiently (replacing it with the not as powerful Uni-Beam projector star-shaped output), making it less powerful than Stark's Iron Man Armor.

It was hacked into and shut down by Iron Man at the end of the Siege of Asgard due to the armor based off an older design.

It was later revealed that Norman was recreating the armor in a work-shop under Oscorp Tower. The armor, along with the workshop, was destroyed by Max Modell after Peter Parker distracted both Hob-goblins Roderick Kingsley and Phil Urich by "pretending" to be Spider-Man.

After the Siege of Asgard, the Unit-ed States Departament of Defense acquisition proprietary H.A.M.M.E.R. hardware, including the Iron Patriot Armor. Some modifications were made in order to turn in into a drone, including the addition of a base-level A.I. which piloted itself.

HISTORY
Accounts of the Joker's origins have been varied and numerous. He himself has told the story of how he came to be with several different variations, saying that sometimes he remembers it one way, some-times another; and that if he has to have a past, he "[prefers] it to be multiple choice." What has remained the most consistent is that his first encounter with the Batman was while he was acting in the identity of the "Red Hood," along with a gang of other thugs, committing a robbery in or near the Ace Chemical Processing Plant.

The Joker began as "Red Hood One," the leader of the Red Hood Gang, comprised of blackmailed individuals from the middle and upper classes of Gotham that the Red Hood kept under his sway. With the ideology of pointless violence, the gang dared the authorities to try and catch them all. He first faced off against Bruce Wayne when the returned billionaire-turned-vigilante rescued some hostages from the madman.

Having been tipped off by Edward Nygma, the Red Hood sent his gang to kill Bruce Wayne, catching the billionaire in an explosion in his brownstone. Taunting Wayne as he lay dying, Red Hood One added insult to injury by shooting two bullets through a portrait of Wayne's deceased parents before leaving the future vigilante to his injuries.

As the tales of the urban legend known as the Batman rose in the wake of Wayne's attempted assassination, the ranks of the Red Hood Gang began to slowly dwindle bit by bit, each member caught one by one. Having discovered Red Hood One's plan, Wayne blew the gang's cover at Ace Chemical Processing Plant where the criminals were planning to steal flesh-eating chem-icals. Realizing the jig was up, the Red Hood Gang led an assault there against the Batman and the GCPD.

Though Red Hood One attempted to escape in a helicopter, Batman fired his grappling line around his enemy's ankle, yanking him from the aircraft and sending them both plummeting through the weakened roof of the chemical plant. Almost falling into a vat of chemicals, Red Hood One was caught by Batman, who attempted to save the criminal's life. Claiming this moment to only be the beginning, the gang leader broke free of his savior's grasp and plummeted into the chemicals below. The man who was Red Hood One, though, despite Batman's prediction that the chemicals were enough to kill him, would only mutate from his exposure in the vat both mentally and physically into the criminal that would later reappear as the Joker.

His activity between the accident in the chemical factory and his first public appearance as The Joker is unknown, but his return to the Gotham City crime scene was a spectacular one. He announced himself on television, after murdering a re-porter with Joker Venom, and publicly told the police he intended to murder local millionaire Henry Claridge that evening at the stroke of midnight. Despite taking every security measure possible, Joker managed to kill his intended victim and nearly contaminated Gotham City's entire water supply with his poison, but Batman was able to stop him. The Joker was success-fully incarcerated, but not for long.

Not long after "the Zero Year", the Joker resurfaced and quickly made a name for himself in the city; his first attempted crime was trying to poison the Gotham Reservoir, an act that Batman successfully stopped.

Near the conclusion of Batman's second year as a vigilante, Joker found himself with the unique inability to laugh, thought to be caused by his continued inability to beat the Bat. Going on a chaotic killing spree of comedians, the Joker was tracked down by the Riddler, who had broken free after a year in prison, to offer that the two work together to fight Batman. Joker didn't find this offer funny though and shot the Riddler in the stomach, instigating what would later be known as "the War of Jokes and Riddles".

The Joker and Riddler both recruit-ed every villain in Gotham they could to fight in their war, which raged through Gotham for weeks, accumulating numerous civilian casualties. Batman, unable to simultaneously stop both sides, was forced to focus on one and chose to defeat Joker's side first. With Riddler and Batman's combined efforts, Joker's army was picked off until only Kite-Man remained, who they knew they could use to find Joker and end the war. In the final confrontation, the Riddler revealed that the entire plot of the war was orchestrated by him as a means to make Joker laugh, and Batman, unable to control his rage, attempted to stab Riddler with a knife. In a surprise twist, the knife was stopped only by Joker, saving two of his enemies and regaining his ability to laugh.

In and out of Arkham Asylum constantly, Joker further built a reputation as a notorious criminal. In one of his stays at the asylum, the madman actually managed to seduce his psychiatrist into letting him escape and join him as his criminal accomplice Harley Quinn.

One of Joker's early plans drew the attention of the Gotham Gazette and, in particular, one of their journalists Tommy Blackcrow. Trying to investigate the clown that he clearly underestimated, Blackcrow was captured by Joker and, still un-daunted, proceeded to tell the madman that he's probably the way he is because he doesn't have any friends, a comment that Blackcrow later regretted when Joker took it upon himself to make the journalist his best friend.

Joker had a habit of escaping from Arkham on various occasions, but two of these occasions are most notable as a result of his criminal activities after his escapes.

On the first occasion, Joker set out to show Batman how easy it was for even the sanest of people to lose their minds and he attempted to drive Commissioner Gordon insane. He arrived at Gordon's house, and before kidnapping him, shot his niece in the spine, then took pictures of her naked, bleeding, and in pain on the floor; later forcing the Commissioner to behold the attrocity in a slideshow. Although the Joker did not know this when he shot her, James Gordon's niece was actually the retired Batgirl. Joker was eventually stopped by Batman and his plan to drive Gordon insane had failed, but Barbara was left wheelchair-bound, but revived her vigilante career as Oracle.

Joker was locked away in Arkham, but it wasn't too long before he es-caped once again. This time, he set out to sell nuclear weapons to terrorists. This plan was foiled by Bat-man and the new Robin, Jason Todd. After this failure, Joker reached Dr. Sheila Haywood and blackmailed her with her dark past. Haywood was Jason's missing mother, coerced into betraying him, and the Joker tied the two of them up together in a warehouse set to blow up after viciously beat Jason with a crowbar. Batman was unable to rescue the two of them before the bomb's detonation, and they were both killed in the explosion.

Afterwards Joker became the new Ambassador of Iran, which gave him diplomatic immunity. Considering his new political position allowed him to avoid justice, the Joker tried to commit genocide at the United Nations Building, but he was stopped by Superman and Batman, although they couldn't find his body after his apparent demise on his escape attempt.

In reality, Joker had sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. Still driven by the desire to destroy Batman, Joker manipulated Two-Face from afar, talking to him through a radio and making him believe he was Dent's own subconscious speaking. Following Joker's instructions, Two-Face organized a series of crimes to kill Batman, but he failed and was eventually captured by Batman, Nightwing and a new Robin, a development that Joker found amusing.

However, Joker's injuries were very serious and he was out of action longer than expected. During this time, he was filled with self-doubt and went through a mid-life crisis in which he started to lose his insanity. When a fake Joker appeared in Gotham, Joker decided to return, despite his diminished condition, in order to set things right. His lack of confidence in his own criminal genius prevented Joker from being himself again and the fake Joker was only defeated thanks to Batman and Gordon. Joker was subsequently captured and taken back to Arkham, where his madness returned. Back to his old self, Joker escaped from Arkham and used Lex Luthor's influence to starts a criminal spree in Metropolis. Eventually, both criminals double-crossed each other and were stopped by Batman and Superman.

Years later, the Joker is a homicidal killer being hunted by Gotham's police force. After a skirmish with Batman, the Joker is caught and taken to Arkham Asylum. There, the Dollmaker pays him a visit, which the Joker seems to have been expecting. The two have cordially ar-ranged this meeting, and the Joker has assigned his visitor with a special task: he has the Dollmaker cut off his face and pin it to the wall.

Afterward, the Joker is assumed dead by virtually everyone except Batman, and hundreds of mourners have surrounded the GCPD building in a mock vigil, calling for Joker's face to be returned to them, and Batman's head too. Soon afterward Harley Quinn learns of her Puddin's "death" and betrays the Suicide Squad by orchestrating a mass prison break at Belle Reve Penitentiary. Afterward, she travels back to Gotham City, turning herself in at Gotham City Police Headquarters all in the hopes of stealing back the Joker's face.

The Joker made his return to Gotham City a year after his disappearance. He infiltrated the GCPD headquarters, killing the lights, slaughtering several cops and making his presence known to Gordon. In the following days, he reenacted some of his earliest crimes such as publicly announcing his intention to poison the mayor, with each crime having some morbid twist to it.

After using Harley Quinn to distract Batman, the Joker went after any-one who has a connection to Bat-man. In order, he vanquished Bat-girl, Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing, Red Robin and Red Hood. Joker brought them all to Arkham Asylum.

By the time Batman came, Joker had his defenses ready and lured the Dark Knight into his trap. Batman complied, hoping to learn more of his adversary's plans. Joker placed the entire Bat-Family on a large table, with bandages around their faces. He claimed he had removed their faces as Dollmaker had removed his. He also explained that he had instructed Dollmaker to remove his face to show that under his grin, there was only more grin. He left them and set the scene on fire.

Batman broke free. He liberated his allies and discovered their faces were still intact. He caught up with Joker, and the fight was short. Bat-man taunted him, claiming to have discovered who the Joker was be-fore his chemical bath. Not wanting to hear it, Joker jumped off the cliff.

In the pit, Batman would later learn, was a pool of the element Dionesium, which had the supernatural ability to heal the Joker's dismembered face skin and grant him superhuman healing, which he would later incorporate into his next plot against the Bat. Also in the cave, Joker discovered the cave painting of a bat that he wouldn't realize the significance of until even later.

Soon after his supposed death off the cliff, Joker reappeared, but disguised as a new orderly at Arkham Asylum. Using pigmentation to conceal the pale skin on his new face and muscle relaxant pills to sup-press his constant smile, Joker adopted the name "Eric Border" - "Eric" being a combination pun of the Norse and Gothic words "Eternal" and "Prince" respectively, and "Border", which is a homophone of the archaic word "bourder" meaning "jester".

Befriending Dr. Mahreen Zaheer, Joker worked in Arkham, formulating his plan for return. In his new identity, the criminal kept to his roots by playing a dark prank on his new friend Dr. Zaheer by encouraging her to write a book about the "true" origin of the Joker. The clown falsified documents and paid people off in order to construct another origin story that could only potentially be true. As part of his dark prank, the Joker gave each of four inmates a different origin for himself (a demon, a robot, a man from another time, and a soldier who was the first in an army of Batmen created by the government) with a path through Gotham that eventually leads to the publisher of Dr. Zaheer's book where the fifth inmate has Dr. Zaheer tell them her story.

Shedding his Eric Border identity almost a year after adopting it, Joker came back with an endgame in mind for Batman. Unlike his last dastardly plot, the clown made clear that he was no longer playing; he intended to make this his final dance with the Bat.

Drugging the Justice League using a new and extremely potent Joker Venom, the madman sent Batman's superhero allies after the vigilante, forcing Batman to single-handedly fend off the entire Justice League. Wasting no time, Joker infected the entire city with the same virus, turning them all into laughing homicidal maniacs. Revealing that he knew Batman's secret identity, Joker then singled out some of Batman's closest allies, putting a hatchet into Commissioner Gordon's chest and cutting off Alfred's right hand with a meat cleaver. Left severely injured from gunshot wounds from both Gordon and Pennyworth, Joker organized a gruesome parade in the middle of Gotham in preparation for his final battle with Batman.

Though initially fooled into fighting an impostor, Joker made his way down into the depths of Gotham to his Dionesium pit, where he fought Bruce Wayne's Batman in a duel to the death. With both eventually severely wounded and Joker's own supply of Dionesium neutralized, Batman and the Joker died together, side by side, under the streets of Gotham.

The Dionesium, despite having thought to been destroyed in the cave's collapse, managed to still revive both Bruce and the Joker, healing the scars on their bodies, but also robbing them of their memories. The man who was once the Joker—his skin and hair turned back to normal—returned to society and started a new life at a butcher shop. Months later, Bruce, also living a normal life without the knowledge that he was once the Batman, met the former Joker in the park, who had intended to kill himself that night but eventually backed down.

A short time later, after Bruce used a machine in the Batcave to return all his memories of being Batman, the insanity of his former life seeped back into the reformed Joker's mind, causing him to return to his normal Joker self. With all his memories back, the Joker began investigating a conspiracy behind a cave painting he had found when he was first revived by the pool of Dionesium. Batman, following the same mystery and thinking the Joker might hold a clue, captured him and detained the clown for weeks in a secret wing secluded in the Batcave until he was accidentally released by Hal Jordan and Duke Thomas.

HISTORY
In the years just before the Great Cataclysm, the Atlantean sorceress Zhered-Na prophesied the sinking of Atlantis and for that she was exiled by Emperor Kamuu.

Zhered-Na spent the weeks adrift at sea in meditation, during which she had a vision of Earth's future, which she believed had been granted her by her god Valka. Finally, her boat landed on the Thurian shore, and days later she came across a colony of Atlanteans there on the mainland. She founded a cult of disciples from this colony, and over the fol-lowing years taught them sorcery. She also prophesied that centuries later demons from the realm of So-minus would attempt to invade Earth, but would be opposed by the Man-Thing. Among Zhered-Na's pupils was Dakimh the Enchanter, whom she granted seeming immortality, although in fact he did continue to age at an extremely slow rate. Finally, the Great Cataclysm began. Atlanteans in the nearby colony wrongly believed it was Zhered-Na's doing and attacked her cultists. Zhered-Na herself was killed, but Dakimh and a few other disciples escaped, bearing with them scrolls containing her mystical knowledge.

In recent years Joshua Kale has served as a leader of the Cult of Zhered-Na, based in the section of the Florida Everglades that is the mystic Nexus of All Realities. The Cult possessed the sole remaining copy of the Tome of Zhered-Na, a book containing her mystical knowledge.

Kale's teenage granddaughter Jennifer took an interest in witchcraft, and, using one of his books without his knowledge, experimented in summoning a demon. She succeeded in bringing the powerful demon Thog the Nether-Spawn to Earth from the otherdimensional world of Sominus without realizing he would not be under her control. But the Man-Thing saved Jennifer's life, and Thog was forced back to Sominus. As a result of a subsequent encounter of the Man-Thing, Jennifer, and Thog, Joshua Kale realized that Jennifer had a psychic link with the Man-Thing.

Later, Jennifer and the Man-Thing were magically transported to the otherdimensional world of Sandt, where they first met Dakimh, now an aged wizard. Dakimh pretended to want to have Jennifer and the Man-Thing killed and had the Man-Thing fight in a gladiatorial arena. But in fact he was testing the Man-Thing's powers and Jennifer's spirit, to make certain they were the beings he was waiting for. The Man-Thing triumphed in the arena, and Dakimh sent him and Jennifer back to their swamp.

The Tome of Zhered-Na somehow disappeared, and as a result, Earth was now vulnerable to invasion from Sominus. Dakimh appeared to Jennifer, and explained his true purpose to her: to save Earth from the demons. He magically garbed her as a priestess of Zhered-Na's cult and, assisted by Dakimh and the Man-Thing; Jennifer recovered the Tome from an otherdimensional world and brought it to Earth, temporarily halting the invasion. Jennifer became Dakimh's apprentice in sorcery.

Jennifer was later captured by Thog, who now intended to invade Therea, home of godlike beings, and to conquer all reality. Dakimh rescued Jennifer, and the two set out with their three allies, the Man-Thing, Korrek, warrior prince of the otherdimensional world of Katharta, and the extradimensional talking waterfowl called Howard the Duck, to stop Thog's plans. While they traversed dimensions, Howard accidentally fell back to Earth, but the other four arrived in Therea, where the Man-Thing defeated Thog.

Dakimh continued to train Jennifer in the knowledge and use of Zhered-Na's sorcery, but her studies were seemingly halted when Dakimh was killed in battle. However, Dakimh's spirit has continued to manifest itself on the Earthly plane in a seemingly physical form, and so Dakimh is continuing to train Jennifer even in the present. Jen-nifer has already become a powerful sorceress, and will probably one day become the equal of Zhered-Na herself. She has also helped in defeating various mystical menaces, allying herself not only with Dakimh but with the Man-Thing, Korrek, Howard the Duck, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man.

Kale was later summoned by the mystical Omen in forming the Legion of Night, who faced the immediate threat of a Fellowship awakening the dragon Fin Fang Foom and making all reality a dream. Kale fought alongside her teammates against the nightmares of Foom, and the dragon retreated, ending the threat. The Legion decided to band together, since this was but a first step in increasingly larger occult threats.

She tried to start a peaceful life when Doctor Strange asked her to treat Dan Ketch, who was suffering from a mystic affliction. Jennifer agreed. Jennifer helped Ketch and Johnny Blaze fight the Furies who were after Ghost Rider due to the murder of a woman. They defeated the Furies with the help of Valkyrie. Jennifer used her and Blaze's ancestral link to call up the spirit of Magdelena Kale, who released the Furies from her request for vengeance against Noble Kale.

She later (out of pity) helped Blaze find his kids. But first she had to help Howard the Duck return to his home, which resulted in her, Blaze and Howard accidentally transporting Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy into her apartment.

The next day after being hospitalized during the battle with Devil Dinosaur, Jennifer and Blaze start-ed looking for his children. After getting lost in Canada they parted on bad terms, each going their separate ways, with Blaze calling her a "trainee wannabe witch."

Jennifer was once sought out to help the mutant team known as X-Force. She helped against Pandemonia, who had taken mystic control of several X-Force members. Jennifer joined X-Force in confronting Pandemonia. She freed Pandemonia's mental slaves (Locus, Meltdown, Warpath, Skids, Sun-spot) and, assisted by Moonstar, she banished Pandemonia back to her home dimension on the chaos plane. Jennifer examined the reality-warping energies that Danielle Moonstar had recently begun to display, confirming that they were not supernatural in origin. Later, Jennifer taught t'ai chi to members of X-Force, having become friends with Danielle Moonstar.

Jennifer's brother, Andrew, was tricked into opening the Tome of Zhered-Na and was possessed by the Hellphyr. Doctor Strange recruited Jennifer into the team along with Topaz and Satana. He neglected to tell Jennifer that the Hellphyr's host was her brother, and in the end she was forced to kill her brother. Angry, the Witches abandoned Strange.

After joining Florida's state Initiative team, Command, (and changing costume, to something a little more subdued), Jennifer is called to investigate some strange happenings around Man-Thing's swamp. Having to fight several zombies, including zombified members of her own team and an extra-dimensional Deadpool, who expertly cut her connection to her magical powers, before being minced on the fan of a fan-boat by the witch woman. She is eventually picked up by A.R.M.O.R. and placed in quarantine, seemingly in a near catatonic state.

Jennifer is later shown defending Florida during the Skrull invasion, her body and mind sufficiently healed for her to engage magic in combat against a Skrull in Florida.

Jennifer joined the new Midnight Sons team, killing zombie Men-Fish. While fighting the Men-Fish's leader, Piranha Dormammu came and offered her his power when she was in grave peril, leaving her to make a decision with no time to spare. Desperate after seeing Werewolf by Night apparently infected with the zombie virus, she called on Dormammu and accepted his offer. Jennifer then battled Dai-mon Hellstrom, who helped free her from Dormammu's control, and she confined the zombie virus inside the Zombie with the Black Talon's help.

Jennifer later tried to rescue Man-Thing from his containment on The Raft, but came to realize that he stayed there by choice.

Daniel Drumm, possessing Victoria Hand, attempted to kill Jennifer in her home. It is unclear whether he was successful, but according to S.H.I.E.L.D. Jennifer was at least missing.

In fact, Jennifer was killed. She used 'dark magic' to resurrect her-self, leaving the right side of her head horribly scarred. Maria Hill brought Elektra to Jennifer, seeking assistance in finding Bullseye.

Jennifer – her face somehow restored – was later wounded by off-the-books Mys-Tech agent Ethan Slaughter.

HISTORY
Kaluu was born over five hundred years ago in Kamar-Taj, a small area in the Himalayan Mountains in the land now known as Tibet. Kaluu and a youth now known only as the Ancient One, and originally called Yao, became fellow students of the mystic arts.

Varnae, the eldest of the true vampires, met with Kaluu and imparted to him knowledge from the primeval compendium of black magic known as the Darkhold. Subsequently, Kaluu set about to make himself ruler of Kamar-Taj. While Yao continued his studies, Kaluu used his sorcery to influence the minds of the people of Kamar-Taj. Eventually, Kaluu and Yao together cast a spell that eliminated disease, poverty, and suffering from Kamar-Taj and granted its people immortality. Shortly thereafter, the people of Kamar-Taj, responding to Kaluu's magical influence on their minds, crowned him as their king. For over a year Kaluu organized the men of Kamar-Taj into an army of conquest. Kaluu has since claimed that he was only trying to bring a lasting peace to Kamar-Taj by making it so powerful none of the Asian conquerors of that time would dare attack it.

Meanwhile, Kaluu slowly increased his mystic control over the minds of the people of Kamar-Taj so that they become little more than his placid puppets. Yao attempted to warn the people of Kamar-Taj about Kaluu, but Kaluu's magic prevented them from heeding him. Kaluu struck Yao with a magical bolt from behind, which paralyzed him. Then Kaluu had his soldiers conquer a neighboring village and reduce it to slavery.

While Kaluu plotted further con-quests and the people of Kamar-Taj fell into decadence, the paralyzed Yao, whom Kaluu had placed in the public square as an object of ridicule, mentally called upon mystical forces to defeat Kaluu. However, the youth was not yet a master of the mystic arts, and, although he did not intend it, the mystic forces he summoned created a pestilence that wiped out virtually the entire population of Kamar-Taj. Kaluu fled to the dimension of Raggadorr, where he remained for five centuries, increasing his mystical knowledge. With Kaluu gone, the youth was freed from his paralysis, but the population of Kamar-Taj, however, was no longer immortal. The youth then sought the cup of eternity and thus aging at a greatly slowed rate. The young Yao eventually became the sorcerer supreme of the Earth dimension known as the Ancient One.

In November 1972, the Mighty Avengers were formed by different people who came across each other while investigating the murder of a were-bat. When The Bear revealed the Deathwalkers led by Lichidus were behind this, the team officially formed to take them down. Kaluu tracked down the black magic used in the were-bat to a secret subway station below the City Hall. The Mighty Avengers then attacked the Deathwalkers before they could make their sacrifice. After Blade recovered the Talisman of Kamar-Taj, which was required to perform the sacrifice, Adam Brashear caused the subway to collapse above the Deathwalkers. With the Deathwalkers stopped, the team disbanded.

In his final years Ancient One trained the disciple who would be-come his successor, Dr. Stephen Strange. In the years just before the Ancient One’s death, Kaluu returned to Earth to destroy the Ancient One and to steal from him his greatest tome of mystical knowledge, the Book of the Vishanti. Doctor Strange and the Ancient One battled Kaluu, who stole the Book of the Vishanti from them, memorized its spells (apparently possessing a total recall memory), and hurled it back through time to the point of its origin in ancient Babylonia. Strange and Kaluu traveled back through time and recovered the Book, and returned to their own time with it. Doctor Strange then confronted Kaluu, who cast a spell to place Strange into suspended animation. But Strange used the Book of the Vishanti to turn Kaluu's spell back upon him, casting him into suspended animation instead. The Ancient One then hurled Kaluu into another dimension.

Years later, after the Ancient One's death, Doctor Strange attempted to destroy his own talisman of power, including the Book of the Vishanti, in order to keep them out of the hands of the evil alien sorcerer Urthona. In actuality, the talisman and mystic volumes were not destroyed but were transported by the mystical entity Agamotto to his own dimension. Strange, however, believed that the volumes and talisman were destroyed. The disappearance of these volumes and talisman broke the ancient spells protecting Earth from invasion by various demonic entities. Many of these spells had been put into effect through the use of black magic. Moreover, the disappearance of the Book of the Vishanti from the Earth dimension broke the spell holding Kaluu in suspended animation. Awake once more, Kaluu returned to Earth.

Doctor Strange fell into despair over the dangers that he had released upon the Earth through destroying his objects of mystical power, and over the fact that he had already used black magic in struggling against them. It was then that Kaluu came to him and offered him his assistance. Claiming that he no longer sought vengeance on Strange, Kaluu said he would help him combat the demonic forces now menacing Earth if Strange would become his disciple. Strange re-fused to become Kaluu's disciple but agreed to fight by his side against the demons, believing he had no other choice.

Together Kaluu and Strange battled the demon Ghaszaszh Nyirh of the Old Ones, who had enslaved the populace of a famine-stricken area of Africa. Strange lost his eye in the process and both were forced to flee from Nyirh's temple. However, they destroyed the temple from the outside, sealing Ghaszaszh Nyirh away from Earth as a result. As Strange had feared, he was forced to use black magic in the course of this combat. Kaluu and Strange journeyed through the dimensions toward the realm of the most power-ful of these demons, Shuma-Gorath. Kaluu exhausted himself and was unable to complete the journey, but Strange continued and finally entered Shuma-Gorath's other dimensional realm. There Strange defeated Shuma-Gorath and apparently destroyed him.

Since then Doctor Strange has purged himself of the corrupting effects of black magic and has once again become the master practitioner of white sorcery in the Earth dimension.

Kaluu is later contacted via crystal ball, by Blade a longtime ally and now member of the new Mighty Avengers. The Mighty Avengers together following their fight with Proxima Midnight.

Nice work! The backstory here feels way more elaborate than what I found for them, unless I read through it and just summed them up in a sentence or two each. I actually had to re-check my own stuff to see if I'd ever statted the group, or just given them lazy descriptions :). Jaine Cutter, too! The name sounded familiar, but I wasn't sure if I'd statted her- thankfully, I had!

I've done a lot of the Marvel supernatural builds recently. Helping out with a Spirits of Vengeance sourcebook and a Realms of the Occult box set. I know the SoV set have been declared complete, I think they are still working on the larger Realms of the Occult set.

I'm also trying to go back into the Gamer Guides and Update those characters that have had pushes since the books were printed with more history and greater depth on their powers. From there I may eventually get to the Freedom City-verse, which would be a nice change of pace.

HISTORY
Ulysses Klaue was the son of Nazi war criminal Colonel Firtz Klaue. After World War II he moved back to Belgium and later anglicized his name to "Klaw," and raised his son with tales of Wakanda.

In adulthood, Ulysses became a physicist working in the field of applied sonics at the Technical University at Delft. He designed a sound transducer able to convert sound waves into physical mass, but the theoretical element necessary to make his device work was Vibranium, a substance known to exist only in certain meteoric deposits in the small African nation of Wakanda. Desperate for a sample, Klaw organized a group of mercenaries to help him seize the element from the Wakandans, and bought Intel on how to access Wakanda from Hydra.

After the Wakandan king and bearer of the royal mantle of the Black Panther, T'Chaka, refused to yield any of the mental from the sacred mound, Klaw and his mercenaries opened fire. When Klaw's sonic weapons overpowered T'Chaka, the young prince T'Challa ran to his father's aid. Klaw prepared to kill T'Challa, but T'Chaka shielded the boy with his body, and lost his life. Klaw was disarmed by Wakandan warrior Zuri, who pierced Ulysses' right arm with a spear, and the orphan prince used Klaw's own sonic blaster to shatter his right hand, prompting him to call his troops to retreat.

Ten years later, he mounted a second attack on the Wakandans. He was opposed by the Fantastic Four and T'Challa, now the Black Panther, who had succeeded his father as ruler. Thwarted again, Klaw leaped into his massive sonic converter device (the Vibranium for which he had acquired criminally on the open market), hoping to gain superhuman powers to com-bat his foes. His gamble was successful and Klaw was transformed into a creature whose body was composed of "living sound". In his new form, Klaw battled the Fantastic Four and was pummeled into unconsciousness by Mister Fantastic, wearing Vibranium knuckle guards, and was taken to prison.

Klaw was soon freed by the Crimson Cowl, an alias of Ultron, and invited to join the second Masters of Evil. The Masters of Evil man-aged to capture the Avengers, but they later escaped. Klaw was subdued by a kick from his old foe, the Black Panther. Too powerful to be imprisoned by conventional means, Klaw escaped and freed some of his cronies from the Masters of Evil. A second foray against the Avengers was less successful than the first and Klaw was again subdued.

Managing to escape custody again, Klaw journey back to Wakanda where he helped steal a device capable of augmenting the metal-disintegrating property of a Vibranium-alloy. Encountering the Thing, the Human Torch, and the Black Panther, Klaw was defeated when the Thing crushed his prosthetic hand.

After rebuilding the device, Klaw joined forces with the murderous Solarr and trapped the Avengers within a solid sound barrier. Klaw threatened to execute the Avengers if the Black Panther did not abdicate the throne of Wakanda to him. The Panther managed to subdue Klaw and Solarr before he could make good his threat.

Klaw was later freed from prison by a member of the extra dimensional race of Sheenarians, who wished him to use his sonic powers to help open a dimensional portal big enough for their invading armada to enter Earth. Klaw agreed and after a skirmish with Ka-Zar in London, traveled with the Sheenarian to the Savage Land where there was a Vibranium deposit large enough to create the portal. Klaw and the invaders were defeated and Ka-Zar forced Klaw to open a portal to their home dimension. Klaw managed to escape from Ka-Zar and remained in the Quarl dimension with the Sheenarians. Unable to salvage anything substantial from his allies, he used their technology to return to Earth.

Materializing in the Nexus of All Realities located in the Florida Everglades, Klaw happened upon the wand of the Molecule Man. Helping the Molecule Man find a body to possess, Klaw and his new ally traveled to New York to wreak revenge on their common enemy, the Fantastic Four. Klaw was subdued by the visiting Impossible Man. He later teamed up with the Mad Thinker to battle the Vision and the Fantastic Four.

Klaw began to realize that his sonic powers had been waning over the years and undertook an elaborate scheme to manipulate a youth gang into restoring him to full power. Klaw had the local Thunderbolts Gang accost and take his powerful Sonic Horn. The Black Panther tried to stop the threat but a gang member used the horn to blast him. The Panther retrieved the comatose Klaw and took him to Avengers Mansion and stored him with his team mates in a protective stasis. The Panther then pursued the gang but they used the sonic weapon to create a creature of sound, a winged elephant with deadly claws. Captain America and Black Panther managed to defeat the winged elephant sound construct and rushed to the docks fearing Klaw had a plan to escape his suspended state. At the docks Beast and Vision are attempted to ship Klaw's body to Wakanda when the Thunderbolts show up with Klaw's sonic-horn. They made a construct of a rhino and lion to keep the Avengers at bay while they blast Klaw with his horn to revive him. Revived and stronger than ever Klaw battled Vision behind a sound dome the other Avengers can't penetrate. Suddenly N'Yaga and Taku show up in a limo with the Panther's vibranium claws which dampen sound waves and will allow him to fight Klaw one on one. Black Panther ripped through the dome and finding Vision defeated attacked Klaw. The dock is blasted in the melee dropping Klaw and Black Panther underwater. The Panther managed to blast Klaw with his own horn causing his body to dissipate.

Klaw's prosthetic device was recovered and taken to Project: Pegasus, a government energy re-search facility, for analysis and safekeeping. When Solarr, another ward of the Project, was inadvertently freed from his containment cell, he sought an ally to help him escape from the heavily-fortified facility. Finding Klaw's hand-blaster, Solarr thought that the Project was responsible for killing him and threw the device angrily against the wall. The sonic vibrations of the impact provided the necessary energy for Klaw, whose mental essence had found refuge inside the prosthetic device, to reconstitute his solid sound body. The two criminals' attempt to es-cape was thwarted, however, and Klaw collapsed back into his sonic device. Project scientists soon revived him again in order to study him. Weeks later, when the mutant Dazzler was at Project: Pegasus to have her sound-transducer powers tested, Klaw tricked the mutant into helping him escape confinement. Realizing her mistake, the Dazzler used her body's sound absorbing abilities to siphon Klaw's energies totally into herself. Klaw's mental essence, rendered unconscious, was also transferred to the Dazzler. When the Dazzler ex-pended the vast quantity of energy that is Klaw while aboard the star-ship of the world devourer Galactus, the advanced alien circuitry of Galactus' craft absorbed it and Klaw's mental essence.

Sometime later, Galactus was among the many beings assembled for study by the omnipotent extra dimensional Beyonder. Needing to consume the energy of a planet-sized object, Galactus sent for his solar system sized home base, docked to which was his starship. Doctor Doom, another of the beings abducted by the Be-yonder, stole aboard Galactus' home base to find weaponry to battle first Galactus then the Beyonder. While trying to fathom the alien technology, Doom used Galactus' machines to bodily resurrect Klaw, whose mental essence had been flitting through the circuitry of the base. As a result of his experience in disembodied form, Klaw was mildly insane when Doom restored his form. Doom nevertheless exploited the fact that Klaw's energy-form was attuned to Galactus' ship and carved up Klaw's non-organic body into special lenses. These lenses enabled Doom to siphon the energy released when Galactus converted his home base into fuel succeeding in the audacious scheme, Doom attacked the Beyonder and the Beyonder gave up his power to Doom in order to see what Doom would do with it. Doom believed he had totally eradicated the Beyonder from existence, but the Beyonder instead took refuge inside Klaw's now restored energy form. After witnessing how Doom handled his omnipotent power, the Beyonder manipulated Doom into returning it. The Beyonder then dispatched Doom and Klaw back to Earth. Klaw then appeared to be restored to his previous power levels and appeared cured of his insanity.

The Wizard assembled a new Frightful Four; along with Klaw, Hydro-Man and Titania. They attacked the Four Freedoms Plaza and during the fight the Thing is thrown into device and was transformed from his rocky appearance to normal human form. The Fantastic Four, without the help of Ben, battled the new Frightful Four and manage to beat them into retreat. Reed repaired the computer system, which was compromised by the Wizard, and located their hideout. The Fantastic Four arrived at the warehouse and launch their attack on the Frightful Four, but are immediately disabled by Aron, a unknown ally of the Wizard. The Wizard argued with Aron about what to do with the Fantastic Four. Aron revealed that he merely wanted to collect tissue samples from Johnny Storm to further his yet unknown plan. Aron and Dragon Man, now under the control of Aron, leave, and the Wizard decides to imprison the Fantastic Four so that he can torture them. Ben snuck in to the Frightful Four's headquarters and freed his friends. A battle ensues and the Fantastic Four emerge victorious. As the heroes lead the villains away in restraints, both teams are trans-ported away only to find them-selves face to face with Aron and a set of Fantastic Four doppelgangers.

Klaw is one of the many criminals kept in the Vault. He and the other inmates escape but are stopped by Iron Man and Hawkeye. He later attempted another breakout with a group of other inmates. He and various other criminals witnessed Captain America disguised as Crossbones battle Batroc the Leaper.

He joined the Pacific Overlords a group of super-powered individuals who gained their powers through experiments and procedures conducted under the watchful eye of the once-brilliant geneticist turned criminal subversive, Doctor Demonicus. Principle among Demonicus's procedures was exposure to the few remaining shards of the highly radioactive meteor called the Lifestone. Demonicus eventually came under the control of a demon and used the Overlords to advance the demon's message. Kuroko requested help from the Avengers West Coast. The nation of Demonica and the Overlords apparently sank beneath the Pacific Ocean.

When the Johnny Storm went to trial for setting fire to Empire State University, he was attacked in the courtroom by Paibok and Devos. Simultaneously, Klaw attempted to have his revenge upon the Fantastic Four by manipulating Huntara into joining them. Working together the attacked they FF as the Fear-some Foursome. However the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Sandman, Silver Sable and Daredevil. They were winning until the Avengers arrived, they decided to retreat through a portal opened by Huntara. Daredevil attempted to pursue, but the dimension in which he found himself confused his senses, and he had to be pulled out by Spider-Man. On Paibok's starship they planned to destroy the FF at Four Freedoms Plaza, where they lay in wait for the Fantastic Four's return. When the he-roes returned, Huntara launched into battle with Psi-Lord, leading the two of them away from the others. The remaining members of the Fantastic Four were taken out by knock-out gas delivered by Devos and Paibok. The two allies then teleported their captives to Paibok's ship, so that they could turn them over to the Skrull Empire. After they had disappeared, Klaw came out of hiding, and took the unconscious body of Ms. Marvel prisoner.

Klaw was among the villains assembled by the newest Crimson Cowl in the newest incarnation of the Masters of Evil, only to be ultimately defeated by the Thunder-bolts.

He joined the Intelligencia and helped the team to find Ultron, who returned Earth. At some point later, he battled Thor, and Iron Man, although he was able to create con-structs of himself, he was defeated and imprisoned by Mr. Fantastic in a special containment unit. One of his constructs (also called echoes), managed to avoid the heroes and tried to become a new Klaw using more echoes, who were on the loose, and using Daredevil as a new body. Daredevil managed to escape the echo's hideout. While battling it, the construct along the rest of them were disintegrated.

During The Wizard's attempt to reinstate the Frightful Four Klaw saved him from their newest member's attack on The Wizard. The villains later transferred the Carnage symbiote to Karlin Malus, who was mind-controlled by The Wizard to prevent him from going rogue.

Along with a new "superior" Carnage, the villains attacked City Hall in order to take over New York, but they found themselves against Spider-Man. During the battle, The Wizard lost control over Carnage, and Malus went rogue. Using a vibranium blade he found in The Wizard's hideout, Carnage stabbed Klaw in revenge. The disruption of Klaw's sonic body caused by the vibrainum made the villain explode, seemingly killing Malus and taking the symbiote from him in the process.

However, Klaw didn't die. His body was dispersed along with his consciousness. Using his remaining energy, Klaw managed to redirect a lightning to Cletus Kasady, who had re-merged with the Carnage symbiote, and basically saved the day. Klaw stated that his consciousness would continue to disperse throughout the sound wall to the point it would disappear. He would, however, reappear reconstituted again after these events.

Lilin

Background:
The Lilin are a race of demons spawned by Lilith, along with the incubi and the succubi.

Each apparently possessing unique superhuman powers, the Lilin are either immortal or extremely long-lived. It is undetermined if the first generation of Lilin were demon/human hybrids, the result of Lilith mating with other demons, or creations of some other type. Lilith and her children led a campaign of terror and death against humanity.

After Lilith's imprisonment (before the Great Cataclysm), the Lilin were scattered across the dimensions, and those who left behind were either killed or fled into hiding (such as, some living among the humans and even breeding with them.

Most of the Lilin, including Creed, didn't cared much for the legend of Lilith, but other such as Pilgrim kept believing.

In recent years, when the half-buried corpse of the Leviathan was discovered in the frozen waste-lands of northern Greenland, the scientists exploring their find accidentally released Lilith. Using magic to peer into the future, Lilith saw that she was destined to fight a cabal of nine supernatural beings who threatened her existence. She summoned her children, but only Pilgrim, a being able to create teleportation rifts, answer her. Determined to keep the Nine from coming together, Lilith and Pilgrim set out to find other Lilin. They first located Creed, a former leader who had long ago given up the old ways, and Blackout, Lilith's mass-murdering vampire-like descendant. Though his Lilin blood was diluted by generations, Blackout pledged total loyalty to Lilith. She sent her three followers to the Quentin Carnival to make a preemptive strike on John Blaze, one of the Nine, but Blaze and his comrade Ghost Rider defeated them. Creed's body was destroyed in the encounter, and as he wanted nothing further to do with Lilin affairs, his undying head thanked the two. Lilith, however, promised Creed he would never find peace. Unknown to Lilith, Dr. Stephen Strange, Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, had become aware of the situation, and though he did not dare confront her in person less it weaken the dimensional barriers that held most of the other Lilin, he manipulated events to place the foretold Nine on a path to come together.

Lilith located more of her progeny, including Doc (whose mystic knives could cut and create), Fang (able to turn into a formless mass) and Nakota (whose eyes could see and display activities from great distances). Fang was sent to kill the living vampire Michael Morbius, but the Lilin's blood transfused with Morbius' only resulted in Morbius gaining even greater vampiric qualities. Just as the ranks of the Lilin began to regroup, with Skinner (a skeletal being with razor-sharp protrusions who dressed in the skin of his victims) and Meatmarket (whose rotted corpse-like body was comprised of his victims), so too did the Nine begin to fully emerge. Skinner, who had long since given up Lilith's cause and married a human, slew his family to spare them the horrors of his true heritage before pursuing Ghost Rider and Blaze in a failed attempt to kill them. Efforts to disperse the newly-formed Darkhold Redeemers and Nightstalkers failed as well. Impatient, Lilith opted to use her body as a gateway to return the rest of the Lilin to Earth. Dr. Strange transported the Nine to Greenland to confront the Lilin. During the battle, Lilith pulled the disembodied spirit of Dan Ketch, Ghost Rider's human host (seemingly slain in a recent battle with Blackout), through her, transforming it into a demonic beast. Ghost Rider finally defeated the demoness when he forced part of her through her own portal. With Lilith and the Lilin believed dead and defeated, the Nine dispersed, but Lilith had survived the encounter, feeding on Nakota, the lone surviving Lilin and the flesh of her dead children.

During the months Lilith remained in Greenland, letting the Lilin re-grow inside her, the Nightstalkers encountered and destroyed Short-Circuit, another of her "grandchildren." When the time came to give birth to her brood again, she called for help and Outcast, a bestial Lilin who had refused to be at her side previously for reasons unrevealed, arrived. He tore her open, allowing the Lilin's rebirth. Pilgrim and a newly empowered Blackout were sent to find and capture the Nine (now informally known as the Midnight Sons), and they ran afoul of Ghost Rider. Centurious, Blaze's nemesis, confronted Lilith and offered an alliance, hoping to retrieve the Medallion of Power. The tow launched an assault on Blaze and Ghost Rider using the Lilin and Centurious' forces, capturing Blaze as well as Ketch's mother Francis. At the same time, Morbius, fighting for control with the Lilin taint in his system, used the Darkhold to resurrect his slain love, Martine Bancroft, but actually infected her with the Lilin called Parasite. As Morbius began to give in to his Lilin blood, "Martine" manipulated him into giving his control over to it after which he would act as Lilith's secret weapon within the Midnight Sons. Ghost Rider rescued Blaze, and the two were joined by Vengeance when Centurious and the Lilin arrived. The battle was interrupted when a near-amnesiac Zarathos was released from his prison within Centurious. Lilith, sensing the demon's power, brushed away Centurious and offered an alliance with him. Ghost Rider, however, gained control of the Medallion of Power and send Zarathos, Lilith and the remaining Lilin to the Shadowside Dimension.

From there, Lilith launched a full-scale assault on Earth using a magical mist as a doorway into the world. As it spread across the planet, the Lilin arrived back on Earth, and soon confronted the Midnight Sons yet again. A Lilin time-manipulator named Bad Timing led the initial charge, but his defeat by the Nightstalkers led the Midnight Sons back to Cypress Hills Cemetery, where Lilith, Zarathos and several Lilin awaited. Elsewhere, Blackout, Meatmarket and Dark Legion (who could create duplicates of himself) viciously attacked a police station, intent on massacring the humans there. Vengeance (Michael Badilino) staved off the killers until Ghost Rider arrived, followed shortly by Dr. Strange, who offered his Sanctum Sanctorum as a refuge for the heroes during the chaos.

As the mists spread, more Lilin encountered several other of Earth's supernatural protectors. The Scarlet Witch found herself trapped in cyberspace, where she defeated the computerized Lilin called Pixel. Jack Russell, the Werewolf, stopped a mob of diminutive "goblin" Lilin from razing a small town. Devil-Slayer encountered the bizarre sub-race of baby-like Lilin called the Infinks.

Lilith had Pilgrim attempt to transport Ghost Rider and his companions to her, but they instead ended up in the lair of the obese Lilith Girth and his second, Skitter. Before Dr. Strange could retrieve them, they learned that there was a traitor within the Midnight Sons. Unbeknownst to them, that traitor, Morbius, was fighting alongside the Nightstalkers and the Darkhold Redeemers against a vast horde of Lilin on the Brooklyn Bridge. Morbius led them to a hideout, where he murdered Louise Hastings of the Redeemers and allowed the Lilin to infiltrate the sanctuary. Morbius then led the Lilin to Strange's Sanctum, where they attacked the remaining Sons. There, Strange helped Morbius gain control of his body again and they contained "Bloodthirst," Morbius' Lilin aspect. Scatter, a tiny Lilin with the powers of speed and disorienting others' minds, gained access to the Sanctum, followed shortly by the enigmatic succubus Sister Nil. In the chaos, the building was destroyed, leaving Strange and the Sons surrounded by Lilin. They fought their way back to Cypress Hills Cemetery, where Lilith had consummated her union with Zarathos. When a dimensional rift was opened, the Midnight Sons' ally Caretaker ordered them to use the Medallion of Power to close the rift first before destroying Zarathos. They did so, and the power sucked Lilith and the nearby Liin back to the Shadowside Dimension. When Zarathos was defeated some time later, Lilith promised to leave the Lilin behind and focus instead on the demon-child she and Zarathos conceived.

A few Lilin remained on Earth after this, however. Morbius found a fatally wounded Lilin child who had wanted no part of her mother's war. he tried to save her, despite his fellow Son Hannibal King's objections, but ultimately failed. Morbius, now fully aware of what inhabited Martine, struck at her until Paraside emerged. The Lilin was almost immediately struck down by Embyrre, a member of the race known as the Fallen, who had emerged from the same dimensional rift that entrapped Lilith and her brood. Though Parasite no longer inhabited her form, Martine survived. Determined to rid himself of the Lilin blood in his system, Morbius underwent a complete blood transfusion. Once drawn from his system, the Lilin blood, having interacted with Morbius's unique physiology, became a new sentient being called Bloodthirst. This new Lilin tried to kill its former host, but was destroyed instead. Meanwhile, Sister Nil returned to pursue Doctor Strange, who intrigued her. Initially he held her in mystic binds, and over time she became his ward as she attempted to learn about humanity. Skinner was found and transported to the facility known as the Black Hole, where he again encountered Ghost Rider. When the Black Hole was destroyed, Skinner escaped and went after Ghost Rider once more, but Ghost Rider and John Blaze literally beat the Lilin into submission. He was transferred to the Vault afterwards. Blackout also resumed his vendetta against Ghost Rider and forsook his Lilin lineage, returning to his mercenary ways.

HISTORY
Bloodthirst first started off a strain of blood that the Lilin Fang dipped into a poison that was supposed to kill Morbius. Instead Morbius survived and had the Lilin blood in him.

For a while Bloodthirst would toy with Morbius's mind to kill anything. When Morbius was first killed by Switchblade, Bloodthirst took over Morbius's body until he was killed by Switchblade as well. When Morbius was brought back to life, Bloodthirst was still in his mind. As hard as Morbius tried to resist, Bloodthirst would end up taking over Morbius's mind and siding with Lilith and the other Lilin.

While Bloodthirst now made his name known while in Morbius, he killed Louise Hastings and he lead the Lilin to Doctor Strange's mansion where the Midnight Sons were hiding. Doctor Strange later helped Morbius take control over his body again, keeping Bloodthirst dormant.

Later on Morbius would get rid of the Lilin blood and keep it in a separate beaker. Soon the beaker would explode and Bloodthirst would take his true form and get revenge on Morbius.

He attacked Morbius at St Jude’s Hospital where Bloodthirst wounded Morbius's friend Jacob and his boss Mandy. Morbius would fight Bloodthirst only to be close to being defeated. Morbius then took a bunch of needles containing something that can destroy blood cells and stabbed them into Blood-thirst's neck, killing him.

HISTORY
Centuries ago, Lilith, the Mother of Demons, was imprisoned inside of the remains of the Leviathan, Tiamat. Her demonic offspring, the Lilin, were left to fend for them-selves. Many of them sought to integrate themselves with humanity, but others such as Creed, in-stead exiled themselves from all human contact.

Creed sought to distance himself from the "old times" and took up residence inside a private temple. When Lilith escaped confinement, she had her faithful servant, Pilgrim, open a mystical portal that brought them to Creed. Angered for being disturbed, Creed flung himself at Pilgrim, but Lilith held him at bay, stating that she required Creed's service to protect her from harm. Reluctantly, he obeyed his mother. He first at-tempted to make an offering to Lilith by killing the villain known as Blackout. Lilith stopped him before he could finish the deed, citing that Blackout was a Lilin hybrid. She ordered all three to track down Johnny Blaze, whom she perceived as a threat to her existence.

As the eldest, Creed was in charge of the group and led a raid on the Quentin Carnival in Providence, Rhode Island. They kidnapped Blaze's son, and used him as leverage to get Johnny to surrender to them. Creed appeared apologetic, and told Blaze that he had no desire to see his family come to any harm. However, the wishes of Lilith demanded satisfaction. In the en-suing struggle, Johnny Blaze opened fire on Creed with his Hell-fire Gun, blasting him to pieces. In his final moments, Creed thanked Johnny Blaze for finally bringing him peace.

He was called upon by Lilith when she spotted him and fellow Lilith Nakota at the Limelight Goth club in Manhattan NY.

From what it looks like, in the beginning Fang's role in the Lilin family is to protect Lilith and in some cases sneak into places and cause sabotage. He did this when he sneaked into a lab to pour some of his poisonous demon blood in a container that was meant to kill Morbius the Living Vampire. How-ever his blood just mutated Morbius instead.

Later he would fight with Lilith against the Midnight Son in Green-land. He meet his end when he was bitten by Morbius and sucked dry.

He would later be reborn with the other Lilin a while later. He would form a somewhat team with Outcast. Together they tried to protect Lilith from Centrious but failed and attack Johnny Blaze and his carnival along with Pilgrim and Steel Wind.

After the Siege of Darkness, Fang and the other Lilin were sent to the Darkside Dimension and was last seen drinking in a pissed off state.

HISTORY
Lilith was already old at the dawn of humanity, her origins lost to hazy myth. One story tells how Lilith began as a member of the Heavenly Host, wife to Samael, who became Satan. Lilith and Samael, or more often quoted Lucifer, led the rebellion against Heaven, but lost, and were cast down into Hell along with Lucifer, Asmodeus and Pazuzu, among others. With Samael as a failure, Lilith abandoned him to seek her own future. Lilith's origin as an Heavenly Hosts member who sided alongside Satan against Heaven is the version the Vatican stand by.

According to her own tale, Earth was once populated with women who were all Passion and all men were Lust. An "Earth God", seemingly Yahweh crushed that world and plucked two souls whom he re-birthed on a recreated Earth where passion was chained and innocence set free. He created the man, Adam, and the woman, Lilith. In her tale, Lilith states that after leaving Adam, she went to the Devil (seemingly Samael), with who she conceived many children. The Devil eventually grew bored with her and cast her out of Hell.

It is also alleged that Lilith's fathers were Aer and Ahriman, and it is possible that she was the cousin of Pazuzu through Aer. Lilith also had Shekhinah, Na'amah, Lillu, Ardat and Irdu as sisters.

These tales contradict each other, but it is unknown whether Lilith lied about being born human, or the stories attributing her to the War in Heaven are false.

Even Thor and Valkyrie are uncertain of her true nature and origin.

Lilith next seduced Adam, the first man, allegedly becoming his first wife, and produced many children by him collectively known as the Mazikim. She found Adam's companionship oppressive in time, and abandoned him. Three purported angels murdered most of the Mazikim in response, and a grief-stricken Lilith fled to the demon cities under the Red Sea. Bitter towards humanity for her losses, Lilith vowed that humanity would suffer forever at the hands of her future children. Another account state that "self-proclaimed" angels slaughtered most of the Mazikim, causing Lilith to vow that her line would dominate.

Lilith infiltrated humanity through-out its early days, sometimes appear as a goddess, sometimes as a mortal or sorceress. She was active in Atlantis 20,000 years ago, opposing the original Order of the Midnight Sons. She may have been part of Varnae's original sect of Darkholders, responsible for creating the first vampires. She may have been the mother of some of the Ancient.

She was imprisoned inside the corpse of the dragon-like Tiamat (or Leviathan) by Atlantean mages, prior to the fall of Atlantis (which occurred in approximately 18,000 BC) which she survived (it's unclear whether she was actually present on the continent when it occurred).

Another account state that, allegedly, her remains were scattered across the Earth by three Angels, Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangol (also known as Sanvi, Sansavi and Semangeleaf).

Despite both those accounts, her disembodied life essence was free to wander on Earth, Therefore, it's possible many of her later actions were performed by her wandering spirit while her body remained trapped.

As the gods of Atlantis were forgot-ten, Lilith secreted herself among the Mesopotamian Gods known as the Annunaki. Some sources specify that Lilith became one of the Lilîtu, a race of female wind demons affiliated with the Annunaki who terrorized children and women while seducing young men. or deteriorated into a storm demon in the desert beyond the Euphrates, abducting unbaptized children and visiting men in their dreams.

As centuries passed, Lilith ruled many kingdoms directly, through her lovers, or through her children. She dedicated much of her time to conceiving powerful lines of children, including the Lilin, the Djinn. the incubi and the succubi. Her lovers, husbands and/or consorts supposedly included the angel Shemhazai, the fertility god Attis, the Olympian God, Zeus, and possibly even the Judaeo-Christian God.

At some point, as Lamashtu, she was prevented by her fellow underworld demon-god, fallen angel, and hated rival Pazuzu from escaping Irkalla and travelling to Earth to threaten pregnant women and newborn babies.

To the Hebrews, Lilith was their Vampire, the spirit Lilith (supposedly inspired by the Babylonian Lilitu).

Her enemies included such famous figures, many of whom were also tricked into fathering more children for her: She opposed Gilgamesh circa 3000 B.C., and Job,. over two millennia later, she challenged Solomon, banisher of demons (including the Lilin). Supposedly, as the Queen of Sheba (her daughter), Lilith conceived by Solomon. Decades later, she be-deviled the prophet Elijah.

Over a millennium later, she reigned in the ruins of Rome and swore the death of all newborns of humanity...or so the stories say.

Medieval scholars believed she was the princess of the succubi.

In the 12th century, in Asia, Lilith was trapped in a bottle by a mid-wife.

A century later, Joseph della Reina thought to summon the Messiah by battling Lilith and her latest consort, the demon Ashmodei/Asmodeus, fellow Heaven-castout, with which she spawned countless demonic offspring. Many of them were slain by the agents of Heaven. Reina was easily defeated and trans-formed into a dog.

In the 18th century, Rabbi Elimelekh challenged Lilith and escaped unscathed.

It is believed by some that Lilith comes from the Deviant race as that would explain her abilities and those of her children. Like the ancient Deviants that devolved into the Elder Gods/Demons, Lilith can manipulate magic and seemingly does not age. It is thought that her children the Mazikim were killed in battle with the ancient mutant line, the Cheyaphim.

In modern times Lilith emerged from the body of Tiamat, who had settled in Northern Greenland. She murdered a group of scientists led by Dr. Phillip Henderson and Dr. Adam Brigman that had come to inspect the strange creature. Wishing to learn the fate of her Lilin children and about the modern world, she began scrying, and discovered they were mostly dead. She summoned them, but only Pilgrim was the only to answer the call.

Lilith attempted to seduce Danny Ketch in his dreams. After that at-tempt failed, she asked Nightmare to attack both him and Johnny Blaze. She sent Fang after Morbius, and assassins to murder Victoria Montesi. She tricked the Nightstalkers into attacking Blaze and Ketch. She and her Lilin increased their attacks as the dimensional barriers protecting Earth weakened. The Midnight Sons joined forces to oppose them.

Learning of Centurious, she sought him out and formed an alliance with him. The alliance lasted until the arrival of Zarathos who had been trapped within Centurious. Zarathos was freed and manipulated into joining Lilith, and they conceived a child. The Lilin and Zarathos were banished to Shadowside, but Lilith remained, pregnant and awaiting the birth of Zarathos's child.

Lilith was among those weakened by the Hellphyr. Lilith witnessed Doctor Strange's gathering of the Witches, and produced a Lilin to attack them. In his tour to warn mystic of the danger, Strange passed by Lilith to warn her he knew she was up to something and that she should not approach his protegees. Despite the warning, Lilith's new Lilin attacked the girls, and was destroyed by Jennifer Kale. She later attacked Doctor Strange herself.

Lilith was later imprisoned extra-dimensionally by Faerie King Oberon, in the "universe" where supernatural evil came from, along with other evils, such as Satannish, Cyttorak, Umar and Merlyn.

During the Skrull Invasion, Merlyn was able to cause MI13 operative Pete Wisdom to open the interdi-mensional nexus to release them all. They immediately set on conquering Britain, the first steps being killing all Skrulls on Avalon then, to fulfill their debt to Wisdom, all Skrulls present or arriving on Britain.

As well as Captain Fate, Lilith soon allied herself with Dracula in his plots to conquer Britain, and be-came a Viscountess of the Vampire Nation. Her participation included creating the Vampires's base on the Moon, providing it with a shield keeping out the radiation (including solar rays), and the enlargement of the New Serpent's Crown, the Vampire flagship.

Dracula sent Vampires to attack MI13 operatives Blade and Captain Britain (with the purpose of destroying Quincy Harker's skull, who prevented the Vampires from entering Britain without invitation), and Lilith was able to provide magical backup to those Vampires due to their brain alterations. The skull (or rather a replica) was destroyed.

When the Vampires finally launched their assault on Britain, Lilith then used her powers to cast a barrier isolating Britain, but was then engaged in battle by Captain Britain. Once Captain Fate dead, and without his curse, the New Serpent's Crown started to break up, and was held together only by Lilith. Lilith re-engaged Captain Britain as he entered back the ship to recover his Meggan who had just been deliver to Dracula by Dr. Doom.

The Vampire army started bursting in flames (as they were trying to enter Britain uninvited) as the Captain Britain's plot unveiled. Dracula ordered Lilith to stop fighting and retreat, so her shields may keep protecting the few surviving Vampires, who retreated to the castle on the Moon but were pursued by Meggan and Captain Britain, who focused on Lilith until she was repelled to Hell.

Steve Rogers expected her to try to take advantage of the vampire sects's turmoil following Dracula's assassination.

During the War in Hell caused by the disappearance of Death, Lilith allied with Mephisto, waging a war in Hell against other demon lords (including Satana, Pluto and Satannish). While her Lilin were successful against Satannish's Legion, she criticized the efficiency of Mephisto's Tormented Generals.
