AFAIK, 4 died in battle, 2 of old age, 1 retired and no one knows about the 8th.

I would kill for a story about this team. I keep seeing them having their last battle on prehistoric Earth against some of the Deviants/Elder Gods and that is how the stones ended up here.

I like how the Stones are different in color. I think this is why I confused them with being part of the Infinity Gems. The Infinity Gems seem to be much more powerful, however.

From my understanding of things, while the Infinity Gems are indeed quite powerful, it’s one gem in particular—-the Power Gem—-that cranks the other Gems up into cosmic territory.

During the Infinity Watch era, the Reality Gem was given to Thanos. He realized that alone it was to dangerous to use the gem, needing the others to effect precise control.
Warlock did not hold the Infinity Gauntlet for long before Eternity brought his case to the Living Tribunal that the young god was no more suited to hold omnipotence than Thanos. The Tribunal ruled that Warlock disperse the Gems so that no individual could misuse their combined might. Warlock decided to split the Gems among friends and allies he knew would not or could not abuse their potential. While he openly relinquished four and kept one for himself as part of a group known as the Infinity Watch, he secretly distributed the Reality Gem to Thanos, who knew not to risk the use of its abilities without the other Gems to balance it. Keeping Thanos separate from the rest of the group naturally kept the Gems separate from each other.
As for Ego... the less said of her the better. Seriously Marvel eff-ed over the Ultraverse, mismanaging them from the get go. The Ego gem was added almost as an after-thought, something that could bring the Ultraverse into the greater Marvel Multiverse. This got use Adam Warlock on the God-Wheel as an opposing force to Rune and the Phoenix taking Amber Hunt as a host. LOTS of bad stuff best left in the 90's. (The one brightside was Juggernaut doing a heel turn and joining the original Exiles. But then they had to add Sienna Blaze and Reaper to the mix.)
The Gems were later stolen by the vampire Rune from the Ultraverse and dispersed throughout the Ultraverse. Several heroes and villains were also pulled into the Ultraverse, including Adam Warlock. In that universe, another gem, the Ego gem, was found. It claimed that it was the main consciousness of the Infinity Gems, the original being and was now ready to reclaim itself. The gems gestated as Nemesis, but were defeated by the Avengers and Ultraforce (alongside several alternate reality versions of the same teams). With its defeat, the Ego Gem was seemingly destroyed.

Sidious, who is the most powerful telepath according to the game stats after Phoenix? Is it Moondragon? What about telekinetics? Is Jean Grey the most powerful TK?

When she had the Mind Gem Moondragon was at least on a par with Xavier, without it she's closer to human Jeans level.

Cosmic guys are kinda hard to put into the scale.

OK, thanks guys.

For some reason, I thought Moondragon, while having lower mental stats than Xavier, was his equal with Unearthly Telepathy, and that the Mind Gem only raised her mental stats, TK and blasting powers, but not her TP past her original Unearthly level.

Well, by default, having the Mind Gem automatically made her the strongest of telepaths. That’s kind of the Mind Gem’s entire purpose.

True perhaps. I don't know if a Phoenix Force imbued Jean Grey Trump's that, or not.

But in terms of the FASERIP game, I don't remember the Mind Gem giving Heather any additional Telepathy above her natural Unearthly rank.

Now, perhaps it could and should in theory, and of course there were numerous errors I found in the system on character stats, but I am just stating that going by memory, I don't remember Heather getting a TP boost.

I was asking the question in case Sidious had Moondragon stats in any of the old books. I am just going by memory and I could be wrong.

While comics sometimes downplayed her powers, I always thought Moondragon may have been at the top of Psychics.

Mind Gem: This Infinity Gem raises all of Moondragon's mental statistics by + 2CS, and enhances her mental powers similarly. Other powers are likely, but are as yet unrevealed. Without the gem, Moondragon's mental statistics are:
  • R: Gd I: Ex P: Am
Telepathy: Unearthly (100) ability and range.
My build of Moondragon, this was based off her Infinity Watch entry in the Gamer's Guide. The emphasis is mine.
Her Telepathy was enhanced +2cs to Unearthly (100) by the Gem. Without it it would be Amazing (50), about Jean Grey (sans Phoenix) level.

The Phoenix is a different animal altogether she posses enough telekinetic might to rip a planets crust open at CL 1000 and It's telepathy is also Cl1000. That's enough to make even Galactus wince.
Phoenix:

Telepathy: Cl 1000, The Phoenix can read minds with little effort.

Telekinesis: Cl 1000, The Phoenix is capable of cracking planets apart.

(Tips hat). Thank you kindly Sidious my friend! That is so helpful!!

Ah, so Moondragon's telepathy and mental stats (unaided) were indeed Jean Grey levels (at least back then. I think Jean's powers have grown considerably since, coming into her own Omega level powers now, even without the PF. )

I remember seeing Moondragon only once in the game listing, but that was a long time ago, hence, my confusion. I did remember the raising of the mental stats.

I always thought Phoenix was at Cl 1000 levels. That is how I would rate her. I am so glad to see that is indeed the case!

Thank you again!! :)

History:
Not long after the establishment of the mutant nation of Krakoa, Laura Kinney (Wolverine), Armando Muñoz (Darwin), and Everett Thomas (Synch) were sent on a reconnaissance mission into the Vault.

Due to the Vault's unique flow of time, the trio spent many centuries inside trying to find a way to escape, during which Laura became romantically involved with Synch. After Darwin was captured by Children of the Vault, the others broke through a force-field that stripped them of their powers and then Laura stayed behind to buy time for Synch to get out. Just before being killed by the Children, Synch managed to make telepathic con-tact with Charles Xavier and ensure everything he'd learned about the Vault was passed onto his resurrected form. Laura was presumed to have died and was there-fore resurrected with her pre-Vault backup, without the memories of her experiences with Synch. Due to Proteus' mistake, she was given a full adamantium skeleton, which she previously lacked. Unbeknownst to anyone, she was now a duplicate, as the original Laura had not been killed, but captured and kept alive by the Children inside the Vault.

During the first inaugural Hellfire Gala, both Laura and Synch were elected to join the newest X-Men lineup. As members of the new team, they moved to a techno-organic Treehouse in Central Park, and it didn't take long for the team to have to protect the world from exterior threats: one by the Mind Reaver in Manhattan and another by the Annihilation Wave in Kansas. This was the work of the inter-galactic crime lord Cordyceps Jones, who had been running bets on who could destroy the Earth first on his casino, Gameworld. With this team of X-Men, Laura also dealt with the High Evolutionary, the Reavers, animal hybrids created by Doctor Stasis, and a terrorist attack by M.O.D.O.K. During their time on the same team, Synch tried to approach Laura and even considered using Jean Grey's gift to show the experiences he'd had in the Vault to her, but eventually decided against it.

On her own, Laura infiltrated the Orchis-colonized moon of Phobos to rescue what turned out to be Lady Deathstrike. Also, joined by Gabby and Daken, she was able to track down Omega Wolverine, a version of their patriarch from an alternate future.

Eventually the X-Men ventured to Gameworld to put an end to Cordyceps Jones' schemes. During the mission, Laura was infected by his spores and was mind-controlled to fight her teammates, but the X-Men eventually prevailed and shut down Cordyceps' operations. Synch eventually gave up on trying to approach Wolverine, reasoning that she had a different life than the one he knew in the Vault and that it was not fair for him to burden her with his knowledge. During the following Hellfire Gala, the X-Men roster was changed and Laura stepped down, while Synch decided to stay on the team.

Shot with tranquilizer darts, Laura was abducted by the vampire Alex who was working for the Collector and taken into space. She was put into Collector's Museum where she was forced to fight in a fighting ring for two days until she met Boom-Boom, Jubilee, and Dazzler. The women fought their way out and returned to Krakoa, but this put them in conflict with the Vampire Nation.

While the newly called X-Terminators were still dealing with their vampire business, Laura was made aware that another version of her had been rescued from the Vault. The two women met up in Detroit and set up some rules for their now shared existence. The younger Laura forfeited her resurrection rights to the older Laura but insisted that she would keep the name "Wolverine". The older Laura agreed but warned that she wasn't looking for future socializing or even encounters between them. The older Laura then moved to the X-Men Treehouse in New York City, where she and Synch had a lot to catch up on.
