HISTORY
Rita Farr, alias Elasti-Woman was once a Hollywood actress who was exposed to unusual volcanic gases while shooting a film in Africa. When Farr recovers, she discovers that she can expand or shrink her body at will, from hundreds of feet tall to microscopically small. When she gains greater control of her powers, she is able to return to her normal size, or enlarge one limb at a time.

Rita was considered a freak and a menace, her Hollywood career was ruined. However, Rita is approached by Dr. Niles Caulder (also known as The Chief) who offers her a place among fellow "freaks" at-tempting to use their powers for good. As Elasti-Girl, she joins Caulder's team, the Doom Patrol. Rita falls in love with, and then marries, Steve Dayton, the hero known as Mento. Later on, the couple adopts young Garfield Logan, who would become the Teen Titans' Beast Boy.

Martian Manhunter tells Rita that he was something of a fan of her "chiller pictures" and that he was disappointed that she did not continue making films. Flattered, she kisses him on the cheek and later tells him that she has met Aliens' actress Sigourney Weaver and that she is sure she would approve of him.

Tragedy strikes when the Doom Patrol's enemies, the Brotherhood of Evil, threaten a small New Eng-land fishing village. Each member of Doom Patrol elects to sacrifice themselves to save the innocents, and are killed in an explosion. Although it is revealed that several members of the team actually cheated death (to appear in numerous Doom Patrol revivals), Elasti-Girl is the sole member of the original Doom Patrol who remains dead.

This situation was explained as an after-effect of Superboy-Prime's pounding on the barrier to reality, which created ripples that changed reality for several characters, including the original Doom Patrol.

The Patrol members retain no memories of their previous lives, until Superboy-Prime breaks the Phantom Zone barrier during his battle with the Teen Titans and their allies. At that moment their minds discern visions of the previous Doom Patrol's, and Rita remembers everything — her husband, her son, and her own death.

Following the One Year Later, the Doom Patrol changes considerably, losing several members and gaining Beast Boy, Bumblebee and Vox.

The explanation for Rita's resurrection: The Chief salvaged a piece of Elasti-Girl's skull and used his technology to regrow her entire body due to its malleable form. Consequently, Elasti-Girl is very docile, and is reluctant to question the Chief. The Chief hints that her malleable form hampers her thinking abilities, leading to her lack of personal initiative which makes her dependent upon Caulder (a.k.a. The Chief). As he observes her interaction with the Chief, Robin suspects that the Chief has brain-washed Rita and the other Patrol members. Rita's husband, Mento, is under the control of his Mento helmet, and believes that his wife would never love him without it.

Following their battle against the Brotherhood, the Titans and the Doom Patrol witness the Chief working to convince Kid Devil that he is a freak and that the Titans actually dislike him. This pushes the teams to confront the Chief. Mento finally removes his helmet and pointedly tells the Chief that he is no longer leader of the Patrol and if he ever again insults his wife and son, he will use his powers to destroy the Chief's intellect. Rita firmly stands behind her husband, breaking out of the Chief's control.

Rita later learns that her husband had been using his powers on her for years to influence her behavior. She then separates from him in an effort to regain her independence.

HISTORY
Jan Arrah aka Element Lad is the last survivor of the planet Trom. In first story he is briefly known as "Mystery Lad" as the Legionnaires try to guess his superpower. The rest of his race was wiped out by Roxxas the space pirate and his crew when they refused to trans-mute common elements into rare metals and jewels. Jan had only survived this genocide because he had been in space at the time.

With the aid of the Legion of Super-Heroes, Roxxas is brought to justice and he then officially joins the team. He served with team for many years, serving terms as leader and deputy leader. He has had a long term relationship with Science Po-lice officer Shvaughn Erin.

It was later revealed that Shvaughn Erin's biological sex is male, and that for years he — Sean Erin — has been taking a medication known as Profem to give her a female body. During a war in which the Earth was invaded by the Dominators, Sean is unable to maintain constant access to Profem. Jan is completely supportive when Sean physically reverts to his original male sex, saying: "Anything we ever shared physically... it was in spite of the Profem, not because of it...!"

HISTORY
Fafnir was once the King of Nastrond, an extra-dimensional realm on the continent of Asgard. As Fafnir and his people were thoroughly evil, the ruler of Asgard, Odin, destroyed the kingdom and all of Fafnir's subjects. Fafnir himself was left to die in the ruined wasteland that was his former kingdom. Fafnir, however, found a pool with magical proper-ties, and while drinking from the pool sustained Fafnir, it also trans-formed him into a massive dragon. Fafnir now possessed strength on par with the Thunder God Thor; a devastating flame breath; the ability to cast illusions and control weak-minded individuals. Fafnir was now almost invulnerable, as his dragon hide was so dense that he barely felt blows from Thor's hammer Mjolnir. It was said that the pool had been formed from the blood of Fafnir Hriedmarson, a Vanir turned into a dragon due to a gold-curse.

Despite these tremendous abilities, Fafnir was never able to defeat Thor. On the first occasion that Fafnir battled Thor, he was sent hurt-ling into a deep chasm created by a blow from the Thunder God. Before his next encounter with Thor he faced Warriors Three who he seemingly defeated until the Young Gods showed up and rescued them.

On the second occasion he fought Thor, Loki freed and assisted Fafnir against Thor but both were held at bay by the combined might of Mjolnir and the magical Nornstones until the intervention of Odin. On the next occasion, Fafnir was killed by Thor when he used Mjolnir to drive an enchanted spear into Fafnir's heart.

Fafnir was one the resurrected villains who was released from Hel and used by Kurse to defeat Thor, however this was stopped by Hela who transported all the villians back to Hel.

Many years later after the invasion of Asgard by Norman Osborn. Thor, Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Iron Man (Anthony "Tony" Stark) met Fafnir in the Nine Realms turned in Hel and after attempting to torture Tony in order to hurt Thor, he joined up with them in order to defeat Hela who wielded the Twilight Sword and restore balance to the Nine Realms.

HISTORY
Sam Wilson grew up in a tough Harlem neighborhood. His father, a minister, had been killed trying to stop a fight between two rival gangs when Sam was nine years old. Some years later his mother was murdered by a mugger while she tried to protect her children. Sam did his best to try and do the right thing, but his grief and anger eventually led him down a criminal path. He took on the name of "Snap" Wil-son while working for the mob.

After an assignment, on the way to Rio de Janeiro, Sam's plane crashed on a remote Caribbean island named Exile where the Red Skull and his henchmen were hiding out. The Red Skull sought to use Wilson as a pawn to attack Captain America (who was currently on the island) with. Red Skull used the Cosmic Cube to revert 'Snap' into Sam, and give him the ability to telepathically communicate with birds, especially a falcon that Wilson had bought named Redwing. After their initial skirmish, Cap was able to free Wilson from the Skull's programming. Together they defeated the Skull, and the Falcon became Cap's partner for a long time. It was later revealed that the 'Snap' persona had entirely been a construction of the Red Skull to manipulate Wilson, and in fact he had never been a criminal at all.

Wilson received help from the Black Panther, who created a harness for Wilson, allowing him to fly.

When Rogers briefly abandoned his Captain America identity, others attempted to take up the mantle, including a young man named Roscoe whom the Falcon mentored. When the Red Skull eventually killed Roscoe, Rogers again be-came Captain America.

Soon afterward, the Red Skull revealed the Falcon's true past as Snap Wilson, and unsuccessfully attempted to use the Cosmic Cube to make the Falcon kill Captain America.

The Falcon ultimately left as Cap's partner when he was named the leader of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Super-Agents.

Later, as one of the few black superheroes active, he was drafted to join the Avengers by Henry Peter Gyrich to fill a quota. Resenting being a "token," he quit at the first opportunity.

At one point, a Sentinel chased him believing him to be a mutant, but this was later debunked and the Sentinel was presumed to have been malfunctioning. Shortly following this incident he came across, fought and defeated the super villain named Electro.

Falcon became a member of the new team of Avengers assembled to fight the international menace Scorpio as a United Nations peace-keeping agency. By this point, Falcon had discovered that he could extend his telepathic bond with Redwing, allowing him to control other birds and "see" through their eyes. He used this ability to spy on Henry Gyrich (now the Avengers' liaison with the United Nations) and discovered that the United States' Secretary of Defense, Dell Rusk, had been pressuring Gyrich to spy on the Avengers and turn over their secrets. Although initially hostile to one another, Falcon convinced Gyrich to help the Avengers spy on Rusk, feeding him false information while gathering evidence to expose him. They discover that Rusk was actually the Red Skull, who had launched a biological weapon at-tack on America, intending to use the ensuing panic to gain control over America's government and start a war with other countries. Falcon was instrumental in defeating the Red Skull.

The insane Scarlet Witch accidentally destabilized the Falcon's mind, pushing him back towards his "Snap" persona, and while he continued to work with Captain America, their relationship became strained, until, finally, Cap felt that he had no choice but to stop working with him. While Falcon argued, a man who the "new" Falcon had forced from his home to use as a safe house shot Cap in the back (while aiming at Falcon). Thinking Cap dead, Falcon cleaned himself up and went after the so-called "Anti-Cap," who had been causing problems for them both.

Falcon subsequently helped Cap track down the Winter Soldier. He was also the first to join with Captain America against the Superhuman Registration Act, and played a leadership role in the Secret Avengers. Following Captain America's assassination by the machinations of the Red Skull, the Falcon registered with the government and was made responsible for Harlem, although he remained in contact with the underground New Avengers.

Afterwards, S.H.I.E.L.D. recruited Falcon and agent Sharon Carter to investigate the Captain's assassination by locating the Winter Soldier and tracking down the Red Skull. Falcon resumed working with Steve Rogers following his rebirth and eventual return to the mantle of Captain America some time later.

Following Captain America's adventure in Dimension Z, Falcon met Arnim Zola's daughter Jet, with whom he had a fling. Around this time, during a confrontation against the Iron Nail, Steve was deprived of the Super-Soldier Serum, quickly aging into an old man.

After foiling Arnim Zola's plan to detonate a bomb in New York, almost sacrificing his life in the process, Falcon was given the mantle of Captain America by Steve, who had to step down due to his condition.

Sam's first mission as the new Captain America got him in Hydra's cross hairs, and Sam found himself confronted by several of Cap's most deadly foes as the result of a trap. Misty Knight saved him, and revealed that Hydra had infiltrated numerous critical teams from the super hero community. The terrorist organization had also planned to spread the poisonous blood of an Inhuman kid named Lucas all over the planet.

With the help of Misty Knight and Armadillo, a Hydra agent Cap turned to his side, Cap was able to locate and defuse several bombs that contained fleas with the kid's blood which had been scattered across the globe. With his plan thwarted, Baron Zemo launched a contingency plan, the self-detonation of Baron Blood (who drank large amounts of Lucas' blood) in the atmosphere, resulting in the propagation of the blood. Cap managed to disarm Baron Blood and leave him floating in space to be recovered by S.H.I.E.L.D.

Sam cut his ties with S.H.I.E.L.D. after a series of events triggered by the hacker known as the Whisperer, who had leaked S.H.I.E.L.D.'s plans to create a Cosmic Cube, a project that Sam opposed publicly. When S.H.I.E.L.D. tried to capture the Whisperer, Sam helped him in-stead, believing the hacker's actions to be righteous, and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s potential retribution disproportion-ate. With the help of the Whisperer, Sam spent months taking down different Hydra cells, and made a deal to acquire diplomatic immunity.

The parting of Wilson from his superiors took another step when he decided to stop working for the government, believing that the Unit-ed States needed a Captain America who was more socially active than before. Captain America's segregation from the government was-n't without criticism, with certain Americans believing him to have become "Captain Socialism," while others fully showed his support.

During this time, Sam was drawn into a crisis when he and Iron Man aided Spider-Man in battling War-bringer. Joined by the Vision, Thor, Nova and Ms. Marvel, the group took down Warbringer and stopped his attempt to bring an army of Chitauri to Earth. Impressed by it all, the team became the newest incarnation of Avengers.

Shortly after finding a new ally in the form of Joaquin Torres, a young immigrant mutated by the villainous Karl Malus who took on the mantle of Falcon, Captain America became involved in a conflict in the small town of Pleasant Hill, a secret super-prison which resulted from S.H.I.E.L.D. finalizing the Cosmic Cube project in secrecy following its expose and alleged termination. In the middle of containing a break-out in Pleasant Hill, Steve Rogers was returned to his prime by Kobik, the sentient Cosmic Cube that powered Pleasant Hill. Once the crisis was contained, Steve agreed to let Sam keep the shield and mantle of Captain America, in spite of having been returned to fighting form and returned to the mantle himself.

Steve's return as Captain America only further damaged Sam's own reputation, as now his dissidents also demanded he returned the shield to Rogers. Shortly after attending the funeral of Jim Rhodes, Sam and Falcon became involved in a skirmish between Brooklyn vigilante Rage and the private policing initiative known as the Americops. After deescalating the situation, Cap had to confront U.S. Agent, who attacked Sam in an attempt to get him to give up on the shield. U.S.Agent's attack was orchestrated in secret by two of Sam's biggest detractors: Paul Keane, employer of the Americops, and talk show host Harry Hauser, and Steve Rogers himself. As it turned out, Kobik had actually re-placed the real Steve Rogers with an alternate fascist version of himself.

Sam's faith in America was shaken by an ensuing chain of events, most notably the wrongful imprisonment of Rage after being accused of robbing a Harlem bodega. Adding insult to injury, being a vigilante, Rage was beaten up by his fellow cellmates and let in a critical condition. In light of Rage's incident, Sam decided to step down as Captain America.

The following weeks were spent by Sam disconnected from society, camping in the middle of nowhere in order to find himself. Unfortunately, when he returned to civilization, Sam discovered the country had been taken over by Hydra, under the leadership of Steve Rogers, who eventually revealed his new nature as a Hydra agent after months of scheming. While he still refused to return to super heroics, Sam began to help out those prosecuted by Hydra's regime, namely Inhumans and their families, and created a network to funnel people out of the country.

Sam was pulled back into the life of superheroes when the rebel group known as the Underground re-quested his services in getting out of America. Sam then reluctantly joined them in their enterprise to recover the fragments of Kobik, which had been spread throughout the globe, in hopes they could be used to return Steve to normalcy. When the Underground returned to the base with their hands almost empty, they were attacked by Hydra's forces, and lost the shards. The grimness of the situation prompted Sam to take up the mantle of Captain America once again in order to inspire his people.

Following the Underground's acquisition of a Cosmic Cube fragment, Captain America carried out a plan to free those heroes which had been neutralized by Captain America, who were either trapped below a Darkforce dome in Manhattan or stranded off-planet on the other side of the Planetary Defense Shield. Using the Cosmic Cube shard, Cap manipulated the probabilities of a chain of events which saw the end of those hindrances. Together, the reunited superhero community launched a final attack against Hydra on Washington, D.C. When the evil Captain America at-tacked the heroes sporting a suit with the power of the almost-complete Cosmic Cube, Sam purposefully handed him over his fragment, so that once the Cube was complete, the Winter Soldier could reach into Kobik's psyche. This resulted in the return of both Kobik and the real Captain America, who proceeded to defeat his evil self, putting an end to Hydra's reign.

In the wake of the Hydra Empire, Steve Rogers found himself in a place of turmoil. Having proven his worth as Captain America and knowing that his friend needed to win back the trust of an entire nation after the events enacted in his name, Sam returned the shield to Steve, relinquishing the mantle of Captain America in the process, and returning to his alias of Falcon. In an effort to re-connect to the world beyond the threats usually tackled by superheroes, Sam began to focus his efforts on deescalating street-level issues, such as gang conflicts in Chicago.

HISTORY
Rod Reilly was a bored playboy who fought crime on Earth-Two as Firebrand alongside his aide, Slugger Dunn. Reilly eventually enlisted in the U.S. Army and was injured during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, though his sister Danette Reilly discovered his old costume in his closet and shortly afterward used it to become the second Fire-brand.

Rod eventually recovered from his injuries. At a later time, he migrated to the parallel world of Earth-X along with a number of other he-roes, six of whom became the core group of the Freedom Fighters.

Reilly was not in this group at the time, instead operating alone, pretending to collaborate with the Nazis (who won the war on that world) in order to better operate against them.

When things became too hot for him, he was eventually forced to flee Earth-X by unknown means and escape to Earth-One some years before the Freedom Fighters finally overthrew the Nazis. He later discovered the injured Ray (Langford Terrill) of the Freedom Fighters (who had believed him a traitor) in the woods after the Freedom Fighters moved to Earth-One, and helped him to recover his strength before clearing his own name and joining the group. Reilly was apparently killed soon afterward, turned to solid silver by the Silver Ghost, but was seen to be alive and back on Earth-X during the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Reilly's early life up to the point of his injury remained the same, and it is also known that he later returned to active service as Firebrand and joined the Freedom Fighters, but no details of this or of his later life are known. It has been stated that he has since died, but again, the details of this are unclear at present.

HISTORY
When Bette Kane entered a tennis court, the stands always echoed with wolf-whistles, cheers, and other expressions of admiration. Blond, blue eyed, and beautiful, Bette was used to adulation; in fact, she was so used to it that it sometimes bored her. As a champion tennis player while still in her early teens, a beauty pageant winner since she was five, and an Olympic gymnast and swimmer, Bette quickly found no worlds left to conquer. Fiercely competitive, she needed a new challenge.

That challenge was Robin, the Boy Wonder. Ever since she was a child, Bette had had a crush on Robin, but her many fan letters to him had gone unanswered, which just made her more determined to get to him.

By the time she turned sixteen, Bette vowed that she would meet Rob-in - on his own terms. She put together a bright costume of red and gold and adopted the avian code-name of Flamebird, but despite some high profile exploits, Flame-bird still received no response from Robin.

Frustrated, she returned to normal high school life in California. After graduation, Bette just kept looking for more exciting challenges. Sky-diving, wind sailing, mountain climbing all provided her with rushes of adrenaline, but it wasn't the same. No thrill could ever match the excitement of being a crime-fighter.

So Bette Kane resumed her Flame-bird career and, after a few minor escapades, she became a founding member of Titans West. Unfortunately, the glory was short lived. Although she finally got to meet Robin, the sparks just didn't fly. The West Coast Titans proved to be a dismal failure and eventually disbanded.

Flamebird aided the Titans again during the Technis Imperative conflict, which involved the Justice League of America as well as all Titans, past and present. Flamebird hoped to be invited for membership, but didn't make the cut.

After a recent confrontation with Nightwing (the former Robin), Bette was forced to reexamine herself and her role as Flamebird. A fire ignited inside Bette that she hadn't felt before: the fire of a hero. She hopes to spread it to others in need of confidence and motivation. Along with a new outlook and costume, she helped Beast Boy defeat the shape-shifting Gemini along with bounty hunters Fear and Loathing. After aiding Beast Boy on the case, the two heroes became fast friends. Bette encouraged Gar to reform Titans West, but he was apprehensive.

Later, Beast Boy's obnoxious cousin Matt took it upon himself to hold a membership drive party for an all-new Titans West. Gar reluctantly agreed to have the team re-form, and Titans West was re-dubbed Titans L.A. - with members that included Beast Boy, Flamebird, Herald, Bumblebee, Terra, Hero Cruz, Captain Marvel, Jr. and Bushido. Titans L.A. was over before it even began; no one had any real devotion to the team. Desperation was obvious when Beast Boy and Flamebird even tried to recruit the displaced DEO orphans into Titans L.A.

After Superboy's tragic death during the Infinite Crisis, the Teen Titans faced a year of heartache and turmoil. Flamebird joined the team for a short time, but later quit. The group remained in constant upheaval until Robin returned and reorganized the Titans into a team.

Although Bette is more focused on her role as a superhero, she still puts a lot of energy into her school-work at UCLA, where she majors in sports medicine.

Bette is back on the tennis courts now, challenging any and all corners. And sometimes, when the spirit moves her, she dons the red and gold costume with the fiery cape and lets Flamebird fly again.

Bette transfers to Gotham University and catches up with her cousin Kate (the new Batwoman). Bette trains with Batwoman, her cousin, under the identity of Plebe, the term used to describe freshmen at West Point.

After Batwoman's first, nearly-fatal encounter with La Llorona, she in-forms Bette that she will no longer be training her due to the dangers involved and Bette not taking things seriously. Angry, Bette later dons a spare Flamebird costume and heads out on a solo patrol, where she is badly beaten and gutted by the Hook. Cameron Chase soon finds her and delivers her to a hospital, but not before using her to determine Batwoman's real identity.

Bette remains in a coma for some time, and receives further therapy from Jacob Kane after she returns home. She later takes the identity of Hawkfire to assist Batwoman and Wonder Woman in defeating Medusa, and later helps recover Elizabeth Kane from the DEO.

She hangs up the Hawkfire uniform after getting ambushed by Wolf Spider during a patrol and getting some ribs broken, though she still assists Batwoman behind the scenes. At some point she took a break from vigilante work and vacationed in Los Angeles, and later enrolled at West Point.

Bette, visiting Kate in Gotham, dis-cusses how much happier Kate is with the BatFamily. She then goes on to say she wants to join The Team as Flamebird. Kate replies that if Bette manages to pass her second year exams at West Point better than the 99th percentile, she'll pass on a good word to Batman. Bette tries to argue, but Kate is called away by Batman. She orders Bette to stay put and out of costume. Bette agrees reluctantly.

Oh they are coming. slowly but surly. especially now that I found work doesn't have the forum blocked. :)

While it was blocked, I did a little PDF of my current builds (including the new ones) it runs to 601 builds at 1729 pages (I include full histories for people not familiar with the characters). If I can figure out how to link it here I will. Warning, not ALL the typos are removed as I'm still finding some.

Ok figure I'll just share it from my drive. You can download it Here

I'll be posting these new builds here as I keep going but all the builds are collected in this file.
Eventually I want to do a Volume 2 but that's going to be put off until I have a decent size again.

Furies of Apokolips - Earth-2

Post by Sidious »

Furies of Apokolips

Group Background:
The Furies of Apokolips are the survivors of the god-planet’s previ-ous feedings. Each one chosen and reshaped by Apokolips to serve as the Herald of Darkseid.

The Furies through the fire pits and went straight to the ocean towards the kingdom of Atlantis, killing and reviving almost everyone on it.

The Furies then reunited at the North Pole, revealing that Famine has fallen. Before they replace her, they must eliminate the planet's Avatars so Apokolips may triumph. They ambushed the Grey and White Avatars, with Death stran-gling the White one while Pestilence infected him. As Green Lantern joined the fight, the Furies were overpowered and the three Avatars attempted to escape to join the re-maining two.

As they recovered and were ready to destroy the Avatars, Death and War were knocked out by the champion of the Blue.

They continue to battle until the arrival of the new Fury of Famine which turned the battle tide on their side, but was short as Flash brought the Avatars intel on their weaknesses in order to overwhelm the Furies. However, their com-bined strengths shrugged off their efforts, once again gaining the up-per hand.

However, the Red's Avatar arrival turned the tides once more, now clashing an even fight against the Avatars.

The battle raged for four hours be-fore the Avatars' reinforcements finally joined the fight. Red Tornado pushed Pestilence into Grundy's trap, encasing her in a bone sar-cophagus that negated her power.

The Furies defeated, their bond to Apokolips was broken, and the four joined together in oblivion

HISTORY
K'li is her universe's last Tamarane-an and the fallen Fury of War.

Arriving to Apokolips on a Tamara-nean vessel, she single handedly butchered a horde of Parademons, terrifying Apokolips' elite warriors. Weeks later, she was trained among other children to be a Fury of Darkseid, learning how to fight and love their master, killing one of her comrades by "accident".

Even though she was fierce, she loved her sister Eila too much to harm her, as well as her teacher Kazana. When finally introduced to Darkseid, she slaughtered them both, under the reasoning that if she was to become a Fury, she must love only him, and hence becoming the Fury of War.

Arriving to Earth alongside the other Furies through the fire pits, War proclaimed that Darkseid will rise. She clashed against the Wonders, introducing herself as a Fury of Apokolips, and eventually defeating them while taking control of Red Tornado, Power Girl and Huntress to use them as toys. She was about to kill Batman, but was saved by Superman so she ordered them to kill each other as she was called by her master to the pit.

She joined her sisters on the North Pole. While Famine has fallen, she could be replaced, but first they must destroy the planet's Avatars to ensure Apokolips' victory. The Furies ambushed the White and Grey Avatars, with her bifurcating Grundy with her axe. But while they were overwhelmed with the Green's Ava-tar arrival, she proclaimed that the Avatars' power was dying alongside their planet before being knocked out by the Avatar of the Blue.

She witnessed the new Fury of Famine's arrival that gave her Fury sisters the edge they needed, but it was short as one of the Avatar's allies revealed them the Furies's weaknesses in order to exploit them, War's being deprivation of radiation. Nevertheless, she was quickly saved and their battle continued until the final Avatar's arrival.

After four long hours, the Wonders of the World helped the Avatars to finally defeat the Furies, with Superman overloading her energy cells and shutting her powers off, ending War's threat.

Her connection to Apokolips bro-ken, K'li was the only surviving Fury, a fallen and powerless warrior who could do nothing more than try to escape Earth's demise while coming across the fallen doyenne of the Furies who told her that they will flee to conquer again. Before leaving, they encountered a man who asked them to take care of his son, to which Barda agreed to keep be-fore finally escaping the world's ultimate fate.

CONTACTS: Apokolips

HISTORY
Death is one of the four Furies of Apokolips and the mother of Darkseid's child, Deathspawn.

Born on Mars, she was gentle and kind, a healer of her planet. She loved all creatures and healed them of their pain, but when the invaders came, she was too sick and frail to nurse her child, and when she died, her pain and sorrow where such that Darkseid felt her grief and summoned her to him.

Against all the odds, she had man-aged to survive past starvation, death, decay, and ruin. Darkseid offered her the chance to become his harbinger of death, and to bear a new child that would bring about the destruction of countless worlds. Upon hearing this, she felt such joy that she accepted his offer, becoming the final Fury of Death.

Death arrived to Earth alongside her Fury sisters through the fire pits and went straight to the ocean to-wards the kingdom of Atlantis, killing and reviving almost everyone on it.

She then reunited with the other Furies on the North Pole, revealing that Famine has fallen. Before they replace her, they must eliminate the planet's Avatars so Apokolips may triumph. They ambushed the Grey and White Avatars, with her strangling the White one while Pestilence infected him. They continue to battle until the arrival of the new Fury of Famine which turned the battle tide on their side, but was short as Flash brought the Avatars Intel on their weaknesses in order to overwhelm the Furies, engulfing Death on a circle of fire. However, their combined strengths shrugged of their efforts, once again gaining the up-per hand.

Victory nearly at their hand, the Furies watched the arrival of the Red Avatar which finally gave the Avatars the power they need to defeat the Furies, and alongside their allies, the Furies were all defeated except for Death, who choose to yield for her child's life. A poor decision, as her child ripped his way out of her womb, absorbing her life force to strengthen himself, reducing his own mother to dust.

CONTACTS: Apokolips

HISTORY
The previous champion of War-world, Famine was one of the four Furies of Apokolips under the servitude of Darkseid.

When Steppenwolf of Apokolips arrived on their world, he asked her about death, to which she believed was the end of everything that is beautiful, everything she loved. Steppenwolf told her that a Fury of Darkseid will live forever, never fearing death, driving her to betray Mongul in favor of Apokolips, be-coming the Fury of Famine, so hungry for life.

With their new champion, Apokolips then proceeded to destroy War-world, leaving no one alive.

Famine and the other Furies arrived to Earth through the fire pits, with her landing on the city of London to which she began feeding on the life force of starving innocents. She was confronted by the Flash, Hawkgirl and Dr. Fate who were attacking her to no effect until Flash disarmed her and Dr. Fate had her own power deflected to herself, seemingly ending her life...but not her threat.

Turns out Famine wasn't completely dead, thus Flash and Hawkgirl used this chance to ask her how to stop the Furies, something she said will come with a price.

Her sisters defeated, Famine's bond to Apokolips was broken, her final strengths fading, and ultimately joined the Furies in oblivion.

CONTACTS: Apokolips

HISTORY
The Fury of Pestilence was the first one to join Darkseid as a Herald of Apokolips.

Born on the Low Caste of Czarnia, she won her life selling scrap metal, occasionally dancing at bonfires and digging shallow graves, making friends with Lobo. One day her parents grew sick like most of the planet, and since Lobo doesn't work for free, she went above the Veil herself to take medicine from the House of Healing. Caught and ar-rested for burglary, she was imprisoned and beaten for many days, one in which her parents passed away.

She was visited one day by a High Caste with the offer of becoming a "Plague Dog" against Apokolips, an offer she accepted. Injected with disease, she went to Apokolips to kill Darkseid, but was instead greet-ed by DeSaad who, like her, was immune to the plague. He revealed that Czarnia's High Caste was purging her kind just for their own sake, and then he made her the offer of revenge, of joining Apokolips as the Fury of Pestilence.

Pestilence and her Fury sisters reached Earth through the fire pits, with her arriving on the city of Rio, infecting everyone in the process.

She joined the other Furies on the North Pole, wondering where she who spreads Famine is. Even though she was defeated, they still had to destroy the planet's Avatars to make sure that Earth falls so they can greet the upcoming Apokolips.

Ambushing two of the Avatars, she began infecting the Avatar of the White while he plead for help, a plead answered by Green Lantern who knocked her out to fall prey of Grundy, but was immediately freed by War.

With the Blue Avatars's arrival, the Furies were overpowered until their new sister joined them, giving them the upper hand until Flash arrived to reveal the Furies' weaknesses to the Avatars, with Pestilence being drowned by Azathoth, but was nonetheless saved by Death before once again infecting the White's Avatar. However, the Red's Avatar arrival turned the tides once more, now clashing an even fight against the Avatars.

The battle raged for four hours be-fore the Avatars' reinforcements finally joined the fight. Red Tornado pushed Pestilence into Grundy's trap, encasing her in a bone sarcophagus that negated her power.

The Furies defeated, their bond to Apokolips was broken, and they four joined together in oblivion.

HISTORY
Gamora was the sole survivor of the alien humanoid race called the Zen Whoberis, a peace-loving people whose population were wiped out by a zealous religious order seeking to establish a galaxy-wide empire. Agents of the Church, called Grand Inquisitors, herded the entire population of the planet into a valley and exterminated them all for their resistance. The mad Titan Thanos rescued Gamora and brought her through time to a period at least two decades prior to her people's deaths, travelling from Earth-7528 to Earth-616. Aboard his space station Sanctuary, Thanos raised Gamora and used advanced technology to endow her with enhanced humanoid abilities. He also subtly altered her perceptions so that she would not recognize the evil of her deeds.

Thanos decided to train her as a weapon to use against and kill the Magus. Thanos made sure Gamora was raised with discipline, though he did on occasion show her affection as a father would show his child: such as celebrating the religious holiday of Yule. Through rigorous training she would become a highly skilled master of various martial arts forms from throughout the universe. Even though Gamora was learning and becoming a master martial artist, she still had more to learn. While still a young girl, she went on a trip with Thanos. Though explicitly against Thanos orders and warning, out of curiosity she decided to venture planetside. In turn she fell into an ambush set up by a group of thugs. The attackers used their numbers advantage and were able to defeat her in spite of her great skill. She was severely injured in the fight and gang raped. Near death, her proverbial knight in shining armor arrived in the form of Thanos, who quickly dispatched the assailants. Thanos then recovered the apologetic and near dead Gamora. After returning to Sanctuary Thanos restored and augment-ed Gamora. This was achieved via bionic implants and replacement parts of Thanos' own design. These physical and power upgrades made her an equal to Adam Warlock's own physical abilities. She also received specialized training and abilities including resistance to reality distortion as well as an accelerated healing factor that rivals even Wolverine's.

Thanos planned to send Gamora to assassinate his enemy, the Magus, the leader of the Universal Church of Truth, a warped version of Adam Warlock from an alternate future. She practiced for this assignment by killing the Church's Grand Inquisitors.

Thanos hoped that the presence of a non-contemporary element such as Gamora inserted into the Magus's present would disrupt his opponent's plans and eliminate the divergence of events that created the Magus from this timeline. Gamora's presence was detected by the Magus, who prevented her from getting close enough to assassinate him. Gamora did, however, assist Adam Warlock in his final battle against Magus.

When Magus was defeated, Gamora returned to her master, Thanos. After a couple of weeks at Sanctuary, Thanos' base of operations at the time, Gamora ex-pressed her boredom to Thanos. Thanos then told her to find War-lock, and become his unofficial bodyguard. While locating Warlock, she was attacked by Drax the Destroyer, a being whose sole purpose in life is to kill Thanos. She escaped Drax, and returned to Thanos, only to find out Thanos' plan to destroy the universe as a sacrifice to Death. Horrified, she tried to slay Thanos with a dagger, but Thanos slew her instead. Adam Warlock found Gamora with one last spark of life remaining in her body and used his Soul Gem to absorb her consciousness.

Gamora's spirit remained in the Soul Gem until the Infinity Gauntlet crisis, when in a plan to stop the Mad Titan from destroying the uni-verse, Warlock projected his, Gamora's and Pip's souls into three deceased bodies. His powers re-shaped their shattered bodies into new, more powerful versions of their old bodies. She joined Warlock in his plan to stop Thanos, but she herself was not present for most of the fighting. In the end, when War-lock had seized possession of the Infinity Gauntlet for himself, Gamora remained at his side for whatever would come next, although she was a bit against the idea of leaving Thanos free.

A couple of months later, Warlock was convinced by the Living Tribunal that he was unworthy of wielding the power of all Infinity Gems, so he decided to divide the gems among those he trust. Gamora was entrusted with the supposed defunct Time Gem, and was made a member of the Infinity Watch. The team, led by Adam Warlock and consisting of Drax, Pip and Moondragon, settled in Monster Island, the sovereign nation ruled by the Mole Man.

Not long after that, the Watch was forced to team up with Thanos after the reappearance of an old foe of theirs, the Magus. However, this Magus was the result of Warlock expelling both the bad and the good from his body in order to truly be-come a logical being. She and Thanos appeared to have reconciled their relationship and even went a round of friendly sparring while on their mission to defeat the Magus. The Watch, Thanos, and Earth's heroes managed to defeat the Magus, and he was banished to Soul World.

At times, Gamora would inadvertently tap into the power of the Time Gem, and get a good glimpse of the future. One of her visions was of a man standing over, what appeared to be, a deceased Adam Warlock. This frightened her, even more so when Warlock was put into a coma after the battle with the Magus. While the Watch, struggled to come together as a team, Gamora stayed by Warlock's bedside and protected the island from foreign invaders. However, one day, a man by the name of Maxam washed up on their shore, and she immediately recognized him as the man from her vision. This suspicious man had no idea who he was nor where he was, but even so, Gamora voted for the Watch to not help him, but Warlock (who had recently woke up from his coma) said they'd help him for the time being.

Yet another universal threat emerged when Adam Warlock's good side sought to eradicate the universe of all sin by simply eradicating the universe itself. However, Gamora (and many of Earth's he-roes, including fellow Infinity Watch member Moondragon) was manipulated into joining the Goddess' crusade. A war broke out between those manipulated and those non-manipulated with both side suffering heavy casualties. Those manipulated were broke out of trance when Warlock and Thanos defeated the Goddess and banished her to soul world.

The team returned back to Monster Island where they could focus on helping Maxam, to Gamora's dis-pleasure. It was a much needed break, but then Warlock called the Watch to help the Silver Surfer defeat the mentally unstable Thor. The Watch went against Adam's instructions and attacked Thor without him present, which resulted in Thor taking the Power Gem from Drax. After this catastrophic mistake, Warlock and Silver Surfer were forced to enlist the help of Doctor Strange to take them and the rest of the Watch to Asgard. They were not met gladly there, for they had to fight their way through Trolls and Asgardians warriors (and even had to get help from Thanos) to get Odin to finally help Thor. In the end, Thor was cured and Asgard was indebted to the Watch.

Her true feelings for Adam Warlock began to show further when Maya came to the island and she and Adam fell in love because of Count Abyss' love potion. She believed the best answer was to simply kill Maya. Eventually she accepted it for what it was and went to help rescue her from Abyss in his dimension. The Watch were successful in res-cuing Maya, but she ended up marrying someone else.

Things would quickly get out of hand for Gamora again. This time due to Maxam making what he thought was a harmless tease about Gamora's feelings towards Adam and referring to it as puppy love. Due to her still being unable to express herself to Adam and her unease and concerns about Max-am, due to the visions from her gem, Gamora attacked Maxam. The two had fought before but this time Gamora was aware of her opponent. The fight favored Gamora to triumph until it was broken up when Moondragon, whom was currently in a coma, used Drax and his power gem to communicate. Adam was displeased with Gamora's actions and told her so. This in turn angered and caused Gamora to ver-bally lash out. For it was not her mistrust of Maxam directly concerning Adams own well being. Unable to accept Adam siding with Maxam over her, she quit the team and threw her gem at Adam when he asked for it back. Which Warlock in turn gave to Maxam. She then had Pip teleport her away from Monster Island and Earth. She was tracked down by Thanos, who sought out the Time Gem in order to erase his troubled history. However, just as Gamora was going to make a decision to help him or not, all the Infinity Gems of the Watch, and Thanos' Reality gem, disappeared.

Gamora later separated herself from Thanos, and went back to being an assassin/lone wolf for a couple of years. She was walking around the space port Baligiest, when she heard that Thanos was there and working with the Nihilist Sect, a religious group he founded, again. She saw him, but he looked different. She described his new look as "a bad parody of Iron Man," but before she could question it, Thanos spotted her and attacked her. She barely escaped the space port, and flew to Thanos' old hideout back when he was retired to find some answers. The hideout was trashed and a Skrull research vessel was right outside. There, she found the real Thanos, who was injured, and he showed her the answers to her questions. Thanos created clones of himself many years ago, but never activated them. They remained dormant until a secret enemy of his activated five of them recently, and those five clones all had fixation on destroying the universe and the programming "Adam Warlock is the key to oblivi-on". Just then, the Thanos clone she recently encountered tracked her to her location, so she and Thanos had to destroy it. After they did that, Thanos began to spy on the other "Thanosi", he did and their plan was revealed. Gamora was later sent to aid Spider-Man and Captain Marvel in protecting Atleza, a human girl who was destined to become an anchor of their reality. They, with the aid of Moondragon, protected the little girl until Adam Warlock, Pip the Troll and Thanos arrived. They arrived to defeat the Omega Thanosi, who was combination of Thanos and Galactus. After they won the battle, Gamora and Adam Warlock entered a loving relationship and decided to depart into another dimension to protect and raise Atleza.

Gamora and Adam would return sometimes, if their aid in others' adventures was called upon.

Gamora trained the She-Hulk for her battle against the Champion of the Universe. She-Hulk lost to the Champion in the fight with him, but was awarded a rematch when she pointed out that Champion, who has regained the Power Gem, was possibly using it as an illegal weapon to boost his strength. While waiting for the rematch, Gamora convinced She-Hulk to train for the fight in her human form rather than as She-Hulk. She had She-Hulk train like this because her human strength was exponentially multiplied when she transformed into the She-Hulk, so she reasoned if she could be-come stronger in her human form this would make the She-Hulk have greater strength still. Gamora's in-sight paid off, as now stronger Jennifer Walters made She-Hulk stronger than ever before, allowing her to defeat the Champion with relative ease.

Leading up to the Annihilation War Gamora was seen leading a group known as the Graces. They ran into conflict with Ronan the Accuser, whom Gamora faced in single combat, even brandishing Godslayer. Much later Gamora joined the United Front of Nova, using her skills to launch quick counter-attacks against the Annihilation Wave.

During the Phalanx's invasion of the Kree homeworld of Hala following the Annihilation War, Gamora was assimilated as a "select" of the hive mind. They dispatched her to ap-prehend Nova after he fled the planet. The Phalanx then attacked, slaughtering everyone. Ko-rel attempted to draw them away, leaving only Select Gamora to infect Rider with the transmode virus, accelerating his recovery. On planetoid Nil-Rat, Rider and Gamora subdued Drax the Destroyer and brought him in for selection. Once they deposit-ed him, Rider confided in Gamora that he feared that he'd lose himself in the Phalanx collective. Gamora told him that the Phalanx had evolved and valued individuality. Ko-rel refused to be a murderer for her son's sake. However, she was stabbed in the back by Gamora. The Selects Gamora and Drax were sent after Nova with the task to kill him. At the Knowhere station Gamora and Drax found Nova.

Rider and Gamora lay unconscious beside each other. Then, an ominous noise woke them. When they come to, they realized whom they were face-to-face with and reacted; Gamora moved quickly to kill him; Rider tried to ask her what the last thing was she remembered besides trying to kill him, while putting a phased pulse ready to clear off her head from her neck. She relented and expressed that all she could recall was that she and Drax caught up to him. Rider asked Worldmind as to where they were; the Xandarian gestalt was unable to present any answer, mostly do to their diminished power levels. All around them was what looked like a grave-yard of ships. Also, their passport bracelets were inactive and Gamora's precognitive sense was dulled. Worldmind then detected another life form ahead, which he identified as a pachyceph voidnaut, stranded and lost from his herd. Rider attempted to assist him, but bright creatures appeared out of nowhere and started mauling on the voidnaut. Rider grabbed Gamora and fled from the creatures. Once they were far away, Rider took a moment to rest, for every time he lost concentration, the virus took a firmer hold. Gamora encouraged him to surrender to the transmode virus so they could be together again. He slapped her away, stating that he would fight it with every ounce of his being.

When the creatures attacked again, Worldmind reminded Rider that he couldn't fight them at a fraction of his own power and advised him to withdraw and abandon Gamora. However, Rider refused to do the latter and carried her away from the creatures. They then headed through a portal that landed them somewhere else. Rider started coughing up the virus; Gamora urged him to give in to it or else it would kill him, which he refused. Frustrated at his stubbornness, she made one last plea for him to be with her again. Worldmind then formulated a hypothesis; they were trapped inside a Vore, a creature that prowled in the spaces between dimensions. They were currently in the birthing canal, where its young were about to be born. Rider formed a shield around himself and Gamora, as they were thrown out of the Vore. Once outside, Gamora attempted to stab him in the back, only for him to strike first, crushing her leg; he didn't trust her for a second. He then dumped her on top of Drax, who was furiously firing at the Vore, before resuming transit to Kvch, hoping to find a cure to the virus before it regained control or killed him in the next two hours. Drax and Gamora followed Nova's trail. However, the transmode virus within them reacted to the planet, merging them with the very metal of the planet to form a Babel Spire, summoning a Technarchy Siredam.

A massive siredam was drawn to the signal made from the Babel Spire Drax and Gamora were trapped in, intending to find Tyro and kill him. After the siredam had ripped him apart before engulfing him, its techno-organic code was being rewritten from the inside and Tyro took control of the siredam, bringing Warlock back to life and curing Drax and Gamora of the virus. Drax was grateful for being free but Gamora was scared, feeling that she was worthless without the transmode virus. Nova comforted her, assuring her that he had found a cure to save the Kree.

Having no purpose and wanting to do things for the greater good, Gamora joined the team of heroes known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. At first she was not trusted because of her past, but after risking her life to save the others, she was seen in a different light. While trying to close a fissure located in-side a Dyson Sphere, the team decided to stop threats to them by turning off the shield that protected them from the star's immense heat. They planned to teleport out, but were unable to do so. Gamora braved the intense heat in order to turn the shields back on, charring her entire body from head to toe.

It took some time for Gamora to heal from this. After the Skrulls were found on Knowhere, the team's base, accusations ran high, especially towards Gamora. After they found the Skrulls, it was revealed to all that Star-Lord had Mantis mildly brainwash them into joining the team. Disgusted, Gamora quit the team and headed off with Adam Warlock. After a short run in with the Universal Church of Truth, Gamora and Adam returned to the Guardians in order to help them continue to save the universe.

When the Inhuman King Black Bolt unleashed the Terrigen Bomb, which created a massive rip in space-time known as the Fault, Warlock was able to stop the tear from expanding, but in doing so he had to overlap the timestream, causing himself to turn into the Magus. Gamora, along with many other Guardians, was killed by the Magus before finally being stopped by Star-Lord and a Cosmic Cube. But this was a trick and the Magus only faked her death, taking Gamora's soul and remaking her with the Church of Truth's belief energy. As a captive of the Magus, she was subject to the torture of their interrogators in an effort to convert her to the Church's beliefs. For a time, it was believed this had worked but when the other team members broke free of their captors, she fought alongside them.

Gamora along with the other Guardians teamed up with Tony Stark to stop a Badoon invasion of Earth (specifically London) only to be captured by the Spartax forces sent by J'son due to a newly created off-limit rule for Earth. While being held captive aboard a Spartax ship, Groot managed to rescue the Guardians along with Tony Stark from captivity and the group was able to take over the entire Spartax ship.

While the Guardians celebrated their freedom within a bar, Tony Stark hooked up with Gamora. After the two had sex Gamora decided to return to the bar. On her way the warrior was attacked and injured by bounty hunter Maxilin the Accuser, just as she was about to be executed the bounty hunter was shot by Rocket Raccoon. After her brush from death the Guardians hid from Spartoi forces within the Seedy Side of the Andromeda Galaxy. Aboard the Guardian's ship Gamora walked into an awkward encounter with Tony in which she simply ignored him. The group detected an object moving towards Earth and proceeded to intercept it. The object turned out to be the newly arrived Angela who was transported from Heven due to the time-space continuum fracture. Gamora proceeded to battle the deadly angel on the dark side of the Moon. After barely defeating the overpowering angel and encountering the The Watcher, the Guardians captured Angela. Angela recollected her story of struggle into the 616 universe and was set free under Star-Lord's command.

Gamora along with the Guardian helped rescue Abigail Brand during Thanos' invasion of Earth. Gamora later fought alongside Angela against the Badoon slave traders and the two became close friends.

When Agent Venom joined the team, Gamora was skeptical of his ability to control the symbiote, and after he lost control of it and nearly killed her was supportive of throwing him and the creature out the airlock.

After retrieving the Black Vortex from his father, Mister Knife, Star-Lord and Kitty Pryde gathered both the Guardians of the Galaxy and the X-Men at Spartax to decide what to do with such powerful item. The heroes were tracked down by Mister Knife's cosmically-empowered Slaughter Lords and overpowered. During the battle, Gamora submitted to the power of the Black Vortex and had her cos-mic potential unleashed, turning the tide of the battle, and allowing the Guardians and the X-Men escape from the Slaughter Lords to Spartax's moon and decide whether to submit to the Black Vortex or not. After Beast of the X-Men submitted to the Black Vortex, attaining cosmic powers, and X-23 attempted to destroy it, Gamora used the Black Vortex to show both teams, along with Sam Alexander, what they stood to gain by submitting to its power.

Beast and Angel submitted to the Black Vortex, and accompanied Gamora in a journey to attempt to empower the entire universe. How-ever, at the first planet they stopped they were assaulted by the Accuser Corps, who took the Vortex from them. In retaliation, they attacked Hala. A cosmically-empowered Ronan managed to force them to flee to a distant planet. J'son would take advantage of Hala's condition fol-lowing Gamora, Beast and Angel's attack, and used all of his firepower to finish off the entire planet.

Magik and Rocket Raccoon later tracked them down and talked sense into them, so they could help them fight J'son and his Slaughter Lords. After J'son recovered the Vortex and used its power on Thane to encase the entirety of Spartax in an amber construct, the heroes got the Vortex back and used it on X-Man Kitty Pryde so she could use her now-enhanced phasing powers to phase Spartax through the amber construct and save the planet. Before getting rid of the Vortex, some of the cosmical-ly empowered heroes decided to remove their cosmic powers, Gamora wasn't one of them.

Gamora left the Guardians of the Galaxy after her presence in Spartax caught the attention of Kindun, a vengeful victim of Thanos and Gamora's attacks many decades ago, thinking herself to be a threat to the safety of her teammates. The conflict also helped Gamora realize the kind of power she held, and decided to use it to hunt down Thanos once and for all.

The following months, Gamora worn out the enhancements of the Black Vortex, having exerted them on her arduous search for Thanos, which bore no results as Thanos was temporarily existing outside the universe. This almost cost Gamora her life when she came into conflict against Hala, a Kree on a quest for revenge due to the destruction of her planetary namesake. Gamora tried to stop her from reaching Spartax, targeting Peter Quill for being J'son son, but failed. Following Hala's defeat at the hands of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Gamora rejoined the team.

Together with the rest of her team-mates, Gamora was summoned to Earth by their friend Captain Marvel to assist her during the second superhuman civil war. After waging war at the Triskelion against the faction of heroes led by Iron Man that opposed Captain Marvel, Gamora turned on her allies when she found out not only that Thanos was being held on Earth, but also that Captain Marvel had kept that piece of information from her on purpose. Following a brawl with Captain Marvel, Gamora decided to cut her ties with the Guardians of the Galaxy when she learned that Captain Marvel had discussed the situation regarding Thanos in secret with Star-Lord.

Gamora attempted to break into the Triskelion once again, but was stopped by the combined forces of the Ultimates and Alpha Flight. Captain Marvel updated her on Thanos' status, claiming that he was no longer on Earth, and gave her an ultimatum, to be escorted out of Earth by the Shi'ar or face Earth's justice system. While being deliv-ered to the Imperial Guard, Gamora escaped and made her way back to the Triskelion and into Thanos' cell, which she discovered was completely empty. Having forced Captain Marvel's hand, Gamora was locked inside that very same cell that held her father. When Thanos returned to Earth not long afterwards, Gamora was freed to join the brawl against the Mad Titan. She stood in front of him when he laid defeated, and decided to spare his life after seeing him humbled.

After experiencing reoccurring dreams concerning encounters with an older version of herself, Gamora came to the realization that a portion of her soul remained trapped inside the Soulworld. Determined to set it free, Gamora set out to find the Soul Stone. To this end, she located Grandmaster and made a deal with him. To perform missions for him with the Guardians of the Galaxy in exchange for information, hoping to find about the Soul Stone this way. When carrying a heist on the Collector's collection, Tivan agreed to help Gamora in her mission. He made a deal with Gamora, offering his assistance in stealing the Soul Stone if it turned out the Grandmaster possessed, in ex-change for the Infinity Gem Gamora bluffed about possessing.

When the Collector interrupted the Guardians' rendezvous with their client, the Grandmaster revealed he had challenged his brother just to test him. The Collector and the Grandmaster learned that some of their fellow Elders were mysterious-ly altered or gone, and determined they could be linked to the disappearance of the Infinity Stones. Since helping the Grandmaster and the Collector gather the stones aligned with her plans, Gamora convinced her teammates to em-bark on a quest to find them.

HISTORY
Robbie Reyes was a young mechanic working in East Los Angeles, California. The neighborhood he lived in, Hillrock Heights, was plagued with gangs and corruption, making life difficult for him and his brother, Gabe, who looked up to him as a hero.

Eager to move to a safer neighbor-hood, Robbie entered a street race to earn fifty thousand dollars. Unbeknownst to him, the car he used was inhabited by a ghost. As he was taking the lead; however, he was followed by whom he assumed to be the police. Worried about what would happen to Gabe without him, Robbie tried to escape, but inadvertently drove into a dead end. He left his car and attempted to explain himself to his pursuers, only for them to violently open fire upon him, killing him. They took an unknown substance that had been hidden in his car and attempted to burn the evidence, including Robbie's body; however, as they left, the ghost possessed Robbie, trans-forming him into a new Ghost Rider. The Ghost Rider gave chase and managed to take out a handful of Robbie's attackers, though some of them got away.

Robbie awoke the next morning, believing the events had simply been a nightmare; however, he soon found that one of his eyes was now orange. Concerned, he re-turned to the workshop where the car had been, Canelo's Auto and Body. While attempting to take it out for another drive, he was confronted by two thugs, who worked for the owner of the car. Robbie became the Ghost Rider again and attacked them, before driving to a junkyard and reverting. The Ghost Rider appeared as Robbie's reflection, and Robbie asked the Rider what it is, to which it responded; "The real question is... what are we?". The demon revealed itself to be a spirit named "Eli", and offered Robbie a chance to seek vengeance towards those who have done wrong. After some brief thought, Robbie accepted.

Robbie later returned to the garage where he worked, to find his boss murdered and the car stolen. Eli claimed to know who had done this, and Robbie transformed into the Ghost Rider. The Rider teleported to the car and merged with it, at-tacking the drug cartel who had stolen it. He prepared to finish them off, when their leader suddenly took some mysterious pills and mutated into a massive, hulking creature. Robbie won the battle after a brutal fight, though was soon confronted by Mr. Hyde. He managed to defeat Hyde as well, and quickly became a protector in the eyes of local residents. Unwilling to become a vigilante, Robbie began using his powers to make money off of street races, which allowed him to work less and spend more time with Gabe, much to Eli's dismay.

This new-found fame caught the attention of the original Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, who traveled to Los Angeles to confront the new Rider, intercepting Robbie just after Eli's influence caused him to accidentally kill a street racer. Eli, completely assumed control of the new Rider, escaped, and gradually took over Robbie's body in his human form to seek out revenge on a Russian mob boss named Yegor Ivanov. Eli was revealed to not be a Spirit of Vengeance, but rather a satanic serial killer who murdered and dismembered at least 37 people in rituals before he was fatally shot by the police in 1999, and who lived in the house that the Reyes brothers took to living in. After Johnny subdued Eli with a Penance Stare, he briefly spoke with Robbie, warning him that he must take care not to let Eli reawaken; however, Robbie rushed home, discovering that Eli, in his body, had left Gabe alone and hungry on the floor, a trauma that caused Gabe to mentally regress, becoming detached and unfocused.

Robbie later fought off Mr. Hyde's gang. When Robbie permanently bonded with Eli's spirit, he told Eli that they would dispose of anyone who has an evil soul.

One day, Robbie woke up in his Hell Charger and found himself in South Africa. Robbie guessed that the Hell Charger had brought him there but couldn't think of a reason why. After fleeing the local authorities, he was suddenly attacked by Starbrand who claimed he needed to destroy him to prevent him from reaching the Fallen. Robbie transformed into the Ghost Rider and fought off Starbrand while claiming that he didn't know what he was talking about. Robbie eventually won when he unexpectedly activated a Penance Stare, despite not being a Spirit of Vengeance, and subjected Starbrand to it, resulting in his explosion.

CONTACTS: Inhumans

HISTORY
Gorgon Petragon was an Inhuman and the son of Korath and Milena, members of the House of Agon, the royal family of the Inhumans. He was cousin to Blackagar and Maxi-mus Boltagon.

Exposed to Terrigenesis, he developed a physical mutation in the form of hooves, along with the ability to create kinetic shockwaves.

When Black Bolt, Medusa and Maximus fled to the humans' world after an Alpha Primitives' insurrection, Gorgon was challenged into a con-test to serve as viceroy in the stead of Kadlec the Seeker who was sent to retrieve the sons of Agon. Gorgon was given, by the Unspoken, some advice on the ways to rule.

Gorgon fell in love with, and eventually married, a woman named Myrraand had children with her. Myrra eventually died, leaving Gorgon with an everlasting pain inside him.

He had a daughter, Alecto, then, from another mother, a son, Petras Petragon.

He was sent by their one-time lead-er, Maximus, to find Medusa and return her to Attilan. Gorgon found her outside the Fantastic Four’s Baxter Building in Manhattan and attacked her and the Human Torch, whom she had captured to help her escape. He used his powerful legs to climb the side of the building, hurt Mister Fantastic when he reached out to see who it was, and stole their helicopter after kicking their Fantasti-Car and Pogo Plane, thus disabling their transport. He chased Medusa and the Torch to New York’s State University where he confronted an escaped Dragon Man, who protected Medusa from him. He continued to fight the Drag-on Man, then the rest of the Fantastic Four, until the android created enough of a distraction for him to escape to the Inhumans' hideout with Medusa.

There, he discovered the Human Torch alongside his cousin, Crystal, who believed Johnny to be a fellow Inhuman. Gorgon and Triton then attacked the Torch until he escaped through the roof to alert the rest of the Fantastic Four. Together, the Inhumans, led by Black Bolt, battled with the four, until Crystal announced that Triton had been taken by the Seeker, who had been sent to bring them all back to Attilan. Black Bolt then commanded Lock-jaw to transport them, and they dis-appeared off the rooftop, with the Torch and Crystal trying to stay together, but being torn apart.

They appeared back in Attilan, where Maximus explained that he had had Gorgon bring Medusa back to be his queen. Gorgon apologized and claimed ignorance of his motives. Then, Maximus taunted Black Bolt about his stolen crown until Black Bolt tore it from his hands by force, reclaiming the leadership of the Inhumans. But soon the Fantastic Four appeared, having followed the Seeker back to the refuge, and argued with Black Bolt, telling him that he and the Inhumans should rejoin the human race. While they discussed it, Maximus set off his atmo-gun, with the intention of destroying all the humans on Earth. When it failed to work, as evidenced by the Fantastic Four’s survival, Medusa deduced that it proved the Inhumans were of the same race as humans. This infuriated Maximus, and he reversed his machine, creating a Negative Zone around Attilan that trapped the Inhumans inside, while the Fantastic Four narrowly escaped.

Black Bolt later revealed his secret: that the use of his voice released destructive energy, and he was forced to use it to destroy the barrier surrounding Attilan. The Council of Elders then decreed that the royal family should split up and explore the human world.

Sometime later, after the Terrigen Crystals were stolen by Quicksilver and then confiscated by General Demetrius Lazer, Gorgon led a sleeper cell in an ill-fated attempt to force the humans to return them. Captured by S.H.I.E.L.D., he was forced to undergo Secondary Terri-genesis, an effort by S.H.I.E.L.D. to determine that the mists could be classified as a weapon of mass destruction, which turned made him more monstrous.

When the Inhumans decided to leave Earth and go take over the weakened Kree Empire, Gorgon appeared to either have been healed or gained control of his new form. He led the assault against the Kree defenses, and led the Kree forces against the Shi'ar in the War of Kings.

Gorgon joined the diplomatic mission created by Queen Medusa to oversee diplomatic relations and handle the recovery efforts of people unexpectedly transformed into Nuhumans, a byproduct of the Terrigen Mists that were released by Black Bolt into the atmosphere many months earlier. Gorgon was then unable to walk since Lineage shot him in the spine when he betrayed New Attilan, and was thus confined to a specialized wheel-chair. Still overseeing the mission with his fellow Inhumans, Gorgon continued his adventures while training every Nuhuman sent his way.

Be it rescuing a latent healer named Ash Minnick from a fanatical mob, suffering from reoccurring night-mares caused by an immaterial passenger. Who, like many Nuhumans in the nation of Sin-Cong, was a victim of a fascist regime run by a paranoid dictator with a supreme hated for foreign change set out for revenge against him and his imperium using the diplomatic envoy's R.I.V transport.

Investigating the strange appearance of the Skyspears in Jinchang, China; while also studying the unusual effects it has on the Inhuman populous. While also training the new recruits in the use of their powers (some using them without his knowledge), and eventually heading to the mysterious lands of Utolan deep within the terrains the Chimanimani Mountains of Africa. Searching, under the unanimous tip given to the mission by Ana Kravinoff, for the missing inhuman clan that Jaycen's missing family is a part of. Which kicked off a near-genocide of the hidden community by some of its more radicalistic factions within their tribe attempting them to the fatal process of Terri-genesis.

While observing his comatose son within their mobile home base, Ash revealed Gorgon she had been used her powers to heal his spinal nerve over time, enabling him to walk again. Still unsure whether or not he deserved it, gorgon stood on his own for all to see at Crystal's surprise birthday party, with every-one present happy to find out that since the process worked on him, Ash would begin working on his on soon.

Following the destruction of the Terrigen Cloud and thus of any trace of Terrigen at all, the Inhumans feared their race as it was would come to an end with no sub-stance to kick-start any more Terri-genesis. The alternate reality Kree warrior Marvel Boy revealed the Inhumans that a way to overcome this obstacle could result from a journey that started by visiting the ruins of Hala. Gorgon joined the exploration crew so to watch Medusa's back. During the journey, Gorgon and Medusa demonstrated their latent romantic feelings for each other.

This journey led Noh-Varr and the Inhumans to encounter the Progenitors, an eons-old race which had created the Kree in the same way the Kree had created the Inhumans, with the use of a substance called Primagen. The crew found themselves attacked by the Progenitors when they arrived to their World Farm. After finding a deposit of Primagen, the explorers attempted to escape with some of it. Gorgon decided to stay behind to buy the crew enough time to escape, using a sample of Primagen to boost his powers and make a last stand against a horde of pursuing Progenitors. Gorgon destroyed the planet where they were standing with his boosted abilities. While the rest of the Inhumans left him for dead, Gorgon had survived the power boost.

HISTORY
Grail is the daughter of Darkseid, prophesied to cause great destruction at the behest of the Anti-God.

At the same time as the birth of Diana to Hippolyta, the Amazonian assassin Myrina gave birth to the daughter of Darkseid in secret, aid-ed by Penelope and watched by the oracle Menalippe. Upon the birth of the young girl, Grail was defended by her mother from Penelope, who heard of the prophecy from Menalippe of the destruction that would be caused by the girl when she grew. After murdering Menalippe, Myrina fled Themyscira, bringing her daughter with her as the first Amazons to leave the is-land.

Decades later, Grail allied with the Anti-Monitor and aided him in declaring war on her father.

Grail finally arrived to Earth through a dimensional portal and was quick to ravage the Justice League, nearly killing them all until another Amazon arrived to fight her but proved to be no match for her, easily defeating her. She also defeated Green Lantern and Power Ring, and used the latter's ring's energy to summon the Anti-Monitor to their world.

She welcomed the destroyer to their universe before re engaging in battle against Wonder Woman, a fight that was interrupted by Metron who arrived to teleport the Justice League away from her and the Anti-God. She then proceeded to summon her father to their world, and once he and his armies arrived, both she and the Anti-Monitor charged against the forces of Apokolips.

The war started, she fought and blinded her brother until Diana once again clashed against her, trading blows until her father summoned the Black Racer to aid him, only to be taken and controlled by the Anti-Monitor who turned the weapon against him and ultimately destroyed Darkseid for good.

After her father's death Grail witnessed the Anti-Monitor slowly expel the Anti-Life Equation from him-self in order to become Mobius again, to which she seized the opportunity to take the Equation for herself, claiming death is too good for Darkseid. She began searching for the first man to step foot in Themyscira, Steve Trevor, and dragged him to her presence in order to fuse him with the Anti-Life Equation, transforming him into her mind slave.

Returning to the battlefield, she commanded Steve to destroy Mobius, ending the life of the Anti-God before commanding Steve to proceed and destroy the Justice League. The entire Green Lantern Corps tried and failed to subdue her, overpowering her enemies before turning her attention towards the newborn child of Superwoman, slaying his mother and taking the child to herself in order to systematically steal the powers of all the surrounding Gods and retrieve the Anti-Life Equation so her father could be reborn again through the child.

Her revived father now as her obedient pawn, the new Darkseid was about to destroy the Justice League until the arrival of the Female Furies who assaulted Grail alongside the rest of the League in a final attempt to stop her. Restrained by Diana and her mother, Myrina requested her evil daughter to open her eyes to ease her rage, to which Grail reluctantly did, firing her beams through her mother to strike Darkseid, separating him from the Equation and returning him to his infant state.

Now in an isolated cave, Grail holds her infant father in her arms, promising to raise and love him as her mother did her, stating that now they both have a second chance.

Descending into further evil, Grail decided she should use the life force of various children of Zeus to speed up the maturation of her father. Coming to Elexinor, Oregon, she sought out Hercules, who she slew in single combat, using a Fatherbox to drain his life force be-fore returning to Darkseid, who she fed the energy, aging him into a teenager. Though she was dismayed that even Hercules' power would not be enough to fully restore the God of Tyranny, Darkseid simply told her they would have to try to kill the Olympian's many children on Earth faster.
