HISTORY:
Ard-Con was a Kree Eternal, a sub-race created a long time ago as part of the Celestials' experiments.

He possibly encountered Odin, claiming that that name recalled him distant memories, but that Odin lived no more.

Along with other Kree Eternals, Ard-Con journeyed through space and traveled to Earth, 4000 years ago. Mistaken for Gods by the Celts, all Kree Eternals soon left, save for Ard-Con who lived there for a millennium, was imprisoned by Tantalus.

Ard-Con awakened due to the vibration caused by Thor who stroke the ground with Mjolnir to turn himself back into Donald Blake, arriving in Charring Cross, London.

Freeing himself from his rock prison, the Demon Druid wrecked the street, and blasted Thor unconscious, refusing to speak to him. He then resumed to his mission, intending to find rest once more.

In his course, he was assaulted by the British Army, then once again by Thor in the district of Esher on the Portmouth road, and a last time at Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire county, next to Stonehenge.

As Thor was able to stun for a minute, Scotland Yard Inspector Prichard intervened, noting that the Demon Druid was merely trying to reach a portal located at Stonehenge to escape Earth. Free of further attacks, Ard-Con used Stonehenge, his transportation pad, to depart Earth.

Unable to reach his people, Ard-Con later returned at Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh, via a portal created from two tourists there, and reiterated his trick on the mutant Meggan. The intervention of Shadowcat and of her phasing powers forced him to retreat, freeing both tourists and Meggan and allowing Rachel to gather some of Ard-Con's knowledge about his people's place.

He soon broke into Darkmoor Nuclear Research Facility, recreating a nuclear facsimile of Stonehenge, having for plan to power a portal to return to his own people. As Excalibur intervened, Shadowcat understood Ard-Con's intent, and sent Phoenix stop Captain Britain from engaging the fight, buying some time for her to use Widget to open him a portal to his kind, connect with him via Rachel's telepathy and apologized for their behaviors.

The portal successfully led him home, but his people were all gone. He renamed himself Ultimus and He was soon found by the Supreme Intelligence, who revealed him his status as last Kree Eternal, and assigned by Supremor to the Kree Starforce along with Shatterax, Korath the Pursuer, Captain Atlas and Dr. Minerva.

They were sent to take down the Avengers infiltrated on Kree-Lar, Ultimus taking on Hercules and besting him. After a brawl, they had the Avengers surrounded.

Conjoint Kree rulers Ael-Dan and Dar-Benn intervened, thanked the Starforce for their capture, then intended to execute both teams, locking them into a force field. At that time, the two Kree emperors were killed by Deathbird, allowing the Supreme Intelligence to regain control of the Kree Empire. He then decided to sent the Starforce to Chandilar, led by Ronan, to retaliate the assassination.

Teleporting themselves into the Shi'ar palace, Ultimus attacked Lilandra, dispatched Earthquake, but was distracted by Starfox long enough for Lilandra to shoot the Kree in the back.

All of the Starforce was captured, and sentenced them to death, leading to the opposition of the Avengers. The battle stopped when counselor Araki was revealed to have been replaced by a Skrull. Lilandra released Ultimus for him to report the Skrulls' machinations, informing him of the disappearance of a Nega-Bomb originally sent on the Kree.

The Starforce escorted Lilandra along with the Imperial Guard, as she came to claim Hala and Kree territory as Shi'ar, making of Deathbird Shi'ar viceroy and Kree ruler, and of the Starforce her Imperial Guard. Under Deathbird's lead, they attacked Quasar and his allies for their violation of the now Shi'ar space, forcing them to retreat.

When the Kree Empire later regained its autonomy, Starforce members were branded as defectors. His current fate is unknown.

CONTACTS: Fatal Five

HISTORY:
In the late 30th century, the Legion of Super-Heroes members Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl gave birth to twin children. Following an epic event known as the Great Darkness Saga, the New God known as Darkseid kidnapped Garridan Ranzz at the instant of his birth. He then sent the newborn backwards in time ten years, cursed with a monstrous body and practically mindless. His child-like persona made Validus extremely susceptible to persuasion - a handicap that Fatal Five member Tharok took advantage of at every given opportunity. It was Darkseid's plan that the mutated child would one day grow up and kill his own parents.

Some time later, an entity known as the Sun-Eater threatened to consume Earth's sun, thus destroying the galaxy. Desperate to stop the Sun-Eater's efforts, Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes recruited the aid of the Fatal Five. They discovered that Validus was among their ranks, but had no idea of his true parental heritage. The Fatal Five reluctantly agreed to help the Legion, and the Sun-Eater's efforts were averted. Validus remained a loyal member of the Fatal Five, always ready to do Tharok's bidding. During one memorable altercation with the Legion, Validus killed Lyle Norg, the original Invisible Kid.

Years later, Validus fell under Darkseid's influence yet again. He manipulated Validus against Lightning Lad, placing him in a situation where the Legionnaire would be forced to kill him to save the life of his other son, Graym. Thanks to the efforts of Saturn Girl however, the plot was averted and both parents discovered that Validus was their child. Soon after, Validus reverted to his normal, human condition.

HISTORY:
Through her mother's bloodline, Nina became part of a long family curse. This curse had originated with Nina's 18th century ancestor Grigori, who had been tainted by the Darkhold, a grimoire of black magic, and was subsequently bitten by a werewolf who served Dracula. Because of this, all the descendants of Grigori were cursed to become a werewolf upon their 18th birthday. Nina's mother Lissa Russell was a victim of the curse until an altercation with a sorcerer named Glitternight altered her standing and she was freed from being a werewolf. Lissa then married a wealthy business tycoon named Mr. Price and gave birth to Nina. Although her mother was able to alter the curse's path against her, the curse continued its course to Nina. At some point Nina was attacked by a vampire who attempted to change her into the undead. This attack altered the curse for Nina somewhat and caused her to become both werewolf and vampire in one. By day Nina Price seems to be a normal human, but once the sun goes down she becomes a vampire. Due to the werewolf's bite, Nina became a white wolf during the full moon, and she used her father's money and status to reserve a zoo or park, in which she would cage herself until the full moon was over and she was no longer an animal (so she would not hurt innocents). However, Nina had no problem using her supernatural abilities to harm criminals, as she found them acceptable targets for her vampiric thirsts, feeding on rapists and thieves once the sun went down.

Falling in a trap set by S.H.I.E.L.D. during an adventure with her uncle Jack, Nina soon after became a reluctant member of Nick Fury's Howling Commandos. Working at a secret military installation called Area 13, Nina was placed as part of a supernatural team working for the government set to handle situations that dealt with more of the macabre side of life, the team being called the Paranormal Containment Unit. During her time there she was partnered with another werewolf named Warwolf and fellow vampire Lilith, the daughter of Dracula.

HISTORY:
Vampires (Homines nocturnae) are magically reanimated human corpses which are inhabited by the spirits of the deceased person and who closely resemble the living human they were before their transformation. Vampires feed and survive on the blood of the living, typically on that of humans, and they can also transform other humans into more of their kind by sharing their own blood with them.

Vampire Sects
The Vampire Sects are diverse as human religions and Vampires from different sects might have different characteristics of abilities:
  • Kreiger Sect: Western European type warriors, one of the strongest sects.
  • Claw Sect: Middle Eastern type warriors, rivals of the Krieger.
  • Mystikos Sect: American Vampires embraced the modem world. They are Businessmen, with skill at technology.
  • Anchorite Sect: American rural outcasts who prefer to hide from humanity and live in peace, similar to the lifestyle of the Amish.
  • Purebloods: Born as Vampires.
  • Nosferati: Eastern European, similar to Count Orlock, their need for powerful blood sometimes drives them to attack other Vampires.
  • Moksha Sect: Seers who gain their powers by feeding as little as possible.
  • Siren Sect: All beautiful female Vampires with powers of seduction.
  • Adze: African Vampires who are able to survive the usually instantaneous methods of Vampire destruction for ten minutes.
  • Ancients: Italian Vampires with superior superhuman speed and healing factor compared to that of other Vampires.
  • Yiki Onna: Japanese Vampires with the power to turn into ice storms rather than fog as most Vampires can.
  • Jumlin: Native American Vampires.
Sub-Species
  • Huskie: Vampires who are brought back brain dead and are basically human husks. They only follow their base instinct and feed on small animals. They will not rest until they have completed a task from their human life.
  • Charniputra: Gargoyle like Vampires that reside in the Himalayas
  • Aqueos: Atlantean (Homo mermanus) converted Vampires
  • Tryks: A powerful, parasitic race that prefers the blood of other Vampires.
Pseudo Vampires

Baalists
The followers of Ba'al exhibited many of the same properties as traditional vampires, but were not in fact true vampires. They wore false fangs and were not inhibited by ultraviolet radiation, but they did partake in the consumption of human blood. Ba'al bestowed power to his underlings, making them stronger, faster and more durable, but they did not possess characteristics that could be defined as superhuman. The Baalist vampires originate from the region known as Gehenna and have followed the edicts of Ba'al since about 13,000 BCE.

TALENTS: Leadership; Persuasion; Intimidation; Detective; Tinkering; Martial Arts: B, C; Military; Occult Lore; Business; History; Politics; Weapons Master; Firearms

CONTACTS: Business Community; Illuminati

HISTORY:
Vandar Adg was a caveman and leader of the Blood Tribe who was born 50,000 years ago. A mysterious meteor crashed to the ground, bathing him in radiation, and granting him incredible intellect and immortality. An observer from the Bear Tribe would later approach that same meteorite and become Savage's eternal nemesis, the Immortal Man, possessing the power to resurrect as a new persona every time he is killed.

He took the name Vandal Savage but he was banned from the Blood Tribe after losing a fight to Bruce Wayne, who was lost in time. His first mark on history came when he and a select group of people successfully undermined and destroyed the lost city of Atlantis. That group of people became known as the Illuminati, with Savage serving as its leader, then and ever since.

In the 26th Century BCE, Nabu, a Lord of Order, created the Scarab of Kha-Ef-Re with the help of a time traveler from the 20th century. This was an attempt to overthrow Savage, who was at that time the pharaoh called Khafre.

In 1718, Savage adopted the name of Edward Thatch, also known as the pirate Blackbeard and became a prominent figure in the criminal world. Using this name, Savage started looking for the treasure of the Miagani and defeated "The Black Pirate" in his quest. However, he came across Bruce Wayne once again and Savage was tricked after reaching the mysterious cave. After losing most of his crew, Savage was forced to retreat from Gotham and months later, rumors about Blackbeard's death began to spread across the land. However, the man who was killed was one of Savage's own crew. Savage survived and let everyone believe that Blackbeard was dead.

Once again in the 18th century, Savage adopted a new identity under the name of Monsieur Savage. He settled in Gotham City after he stole gold from Napoleon Bonaparte and learned of a secret box that held the secret to eternal life. As he had been diagnosed with a cancer, he sought the box to extend his already long-lived existence with help from bounty hunter Jonah Hex and a man called Thomas Wayne. However, his efforts were once again thwarted by Bruce Wayne, who retrieved the box from him and left him unconscious after another confrontation.

Over the centuries, Savage's name appeared over and over again in Western history, as advisor to kings and pharaohs in Sumer, Egypt, and Europe. He claimed to have ruled hundreds of civilizations under hundreds of names: Khafre, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, and Vlad the Impaler, to name a few. He had also worked as close friends and advisers to the likes of Erik the Red, Napoleon Bonaparte, Ra's al Ghul, Otto von Bismarck and Adolf Hitler. He was the court physician in France, and even used the royal family for syphilis experiments.

Beginning in the 1940s, Savage frequently battled the Justice Society of America. One attempt to capture the members of the Justice Society out of revenge was thwarted by two Flashes, Jay Garrick and Barry Allen.

Ultimately, Savage's enemy, the Immortal Man, erased himself from existence to save the world during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and Mitch Shelley, the Resurrection Man, an amnesiac with similar powers, took over as Savage's nemesis. However, Savage's list of foes is not limited to those two individuals. Having lived so long, Savage has butted heads with possibly every single hero in past, present, and future, most notably the Justice Society of America and the Justice League of America. At present, Savage is about 52,000 years old.

Over time, Savage forgot many of his special powers, and never exhibited them to Barry Allen. However, he later began a quest to recharge them by killing. His first intended victim was Wally West, who by then had taken over the mantle of the Flash. During this time, he operated the Villers Gallery, an antique salon on Fifth Avenue in New York City. A private investigator by the name of Harold Halston from Thermopolis, Wyoming had been investigating one Varney Sack at the request of a local realtor. Sack turned out to be Savage, and the immortal man killed Halston once he figured the the private eye knew too much. In a showdown at the Club Neon, Wally, with the help of Frances Kane, fought Savage. He fell out of a window, but he disappeared before he hit the ground.

Savage surfaced again later, this time selling Velocity 9, a highly addictive super-speed drug of his own creation, which interfered with much of the existing drug trade in New York. He put an ad in the paper that attracted successful yuppies, who he used to do his bidding by giving them Velocity 9 so they could perform high speed crimes. However, these junkies aged at magnificent rates and suffered strokes easily.

Savage wished to use the heroin distribution network headed by mob boss Nick Bassaglia to distribute Velocity 9 to lawyers and stockbrokers, hoping to gain financial control of New York. However, Flash, who had gone looking for Bassaglia after he was kidnapped by Savage, was injected with Velocity 9. After giving him a short spurt of incredible speed, it took away his powers. Hoping that a second dose would make him another one of his junkies, Savage told Dr. Conrad Bortz to inject the Flash, who instead injected Savage, who ran away.

He reappeared later, wanting money to leave the country. This money he attempted to acquire by kidnapping Rosie, the daughter of Wally's landlord, Mr. Gilchrist, with a ransom of five million dollars. He set many traps for the Flash, who was looking for Rosie, which led him to Barry Allen's grave, where Rosie was being kept. However, throughout all of this, Savage never showed his face.

Originally Savage was a member of Alexander Luthor's Secret Society of Super-Villains, but he quit and told Lex not to contact him for any reason. This was likely because his daughter Scandal was working against the Society as part of the Secret Six. When the Society lodged a final ambush against the Six, Vandal threatened to kill Luthor if he did not call off the attack, saying that he could not allow anyone to harm his daughter. Whether this was a case of fatherly concern or Vandal has ulterior motives for his daughter remains to be seen.

During the wake of the Infinite Crisis, Savage took a drastic turn his own ways on taking over the world in which he decided to restart human civilization by destroying Earth by pulling an asteroid into the planet. While leading a doomsday cult to help his plan accomplish, Savage's plot was foiled by the Flash (Wally West) and the asteroid was sent back into space, along with Savage. Eventually the asteroid fell back to Earth with Savage, who then discovered his immortality was declining and would therefore lead to his own demise. Savage chose to preserve his life by stealing the DNA of Green Lantern Alan Scott. Using a deformed clone of the original Sandman, Wesley Dodds, Vandal Savage's plans of capturing Scott failed. However, Savage found himself surviving by inhumane means when consuming a clone of himself, preserving his life a year longer.

Savage would later form a group of super-powered Neo-Nazis called the Fourth Reich to murder the heirs of several Golden Age superhero bloodlines, in the belief that eliminating the bloodlines will eliminate the heroes' legacies and allow him to continue his goal of reshaping the world according to his own desires. His victims include Minute-Man, Mister America, and General Glory, along with their families. Savage took the liberty of personally eliminating Wildcat and his son Tom Bronson himself, but only to be underestimated by Bronson's transformation into a cat-like creature who was able to overcome Savage. Ultimately, Savage's slaughter ended with his temporary defeat by Wildcat and his son, and the Fourth Reich defeated by the Justice Society.

Savage was captured by American government authorities and was among of many villains that were secretly deported to the hell planet called "Salvation," which unknown to the deportees and their handlers that the planet was a training ground for the Parademons of Apokolips. Surviving the planet's deadly flora and fauna, Savage used his knowledge to locate a "safe zone" freed from any predators. He lead a group of all-female villains to this safe zone with intentions of mating them and to build his own civilization. However, the women turned against him once they learned that he had been manipulating them to turn against each other. Ultimately, Savage escaped back to Earth along with the villains following an attack by Parademons sent by Desaad.

After returning to Earth, Savage became a member of the Society's second incarnation underneath Libra, serving as one of his inner cabinet members, during the Final Crisis. He also became involved with the Religion of Crime and was revealed to be actually the man the Religion of Crime worships as "Cain", the original murderer and sinner. Savage was reborn as Cain after cultists of the Religion of Crime plunged the Spear of Destiny into him. As Cain, he went on a path of revenge against the Spectre for punishing Cain in the past.

Managing to defeat the Spectre, Cain used the Spear of Destiny to separate the Spirit of Vengeance from his human host, Crispus Allen, and made him his slave. Though he almost has his revenge Cain's plan went undone by The Question, who managed to steal the Spear and reunite the Spectre with Crispus Allen. The Spectre spared from killing Cain as forbidden by God and instead had him branded by the Mark of Cain, being forever reviled and persecuted by the world until God feels that this punishment was justified.

Savage walked the Earth after his devastating defeat before coming across and assisting his colleague Ra's al Ghul and the Outsiders on defeating Savage's former tribesmen called the Insiders, who were exposed to the same meteor that granted Savage immortality. Savage would later on encounter the Huntress and The Question, managing through threats against the both of their lives to get The Question to take the Mark of Cain from him and carry it herself.

TALENTS: Motorcycle; Law Enforcement

CONTACTS: Ghost Rider; Blaze; Midnight Sons; Crime; Police

HISTORY:
Michael Badilino was a detective, often assigned to special cases. Mephisto manipulated Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze) to blast Michael's father with hellfire. The trauma drove the man insane. He murdered his daughters, wife and then committed suicide while Michael was away on an assignment. Michael blamed the Ghost Rider and took Mephisto's offer to become a similar being called 'Vengeance' to battle them.

After both Ghost Rider (Dan Ketch) and Blaze battled Vengeance, the Caretaker stopped them. He explained that Badilino's family was also connected to the Medallion of Power, which was why Mephisto had manipulated them as well. In reality, he had given up his soul for power that was his birthright in the first place. He joined the Midnight Sons. While Ketch was missing, Vengeance filled in for him, patrolling the area around Cypress Hills Cemetery.

Badilino's old enemy Anton Hellgate learned of the powers Vengeance and Ghost Rider possessed. He captured Badilino and murdered Blaze's wife Roxanne. While imprisoned, Vengeance was experimented on as Hellgate sought to duplicate the power of a Spirit of Vengeance and add it to his own. He was eventually freed by Ghost Rider, but seemed to be unstable, and no longer able to transform into Vengeance.

Badilino joined a task force, recommended by Agent Uno. On one mission he suddenly turned back into Vengeance and massacred both his unit and the criminals they were after. He sought out Hellgate again and murdered any criminals he came across rather than simply punishing them.

When confronted by Ghost Rider and Blaze, he used a penance stare that was the first step in learning the truth about the Riders' past. Feeling that he had already gone too far, Vengeance caused a massive explosion that destroyed both himself and Hellgate. He was later seen in Hell being mocked by Blackheart.

HISTORY
Paco Ramone's career as a Justice Leaguer was as short as they come. His career as Vibe began shortly after Aquaman disbanded the original Justice League. When young Paco heard that a new Justice League was forming in his own backyard of Detroit, he decided to give up his position as the leader of a local street gang, El Lobos, to join up. What made Ramone an impressive candidate was his metahuman ability to emit powerful vibratory shockwaves.

Vibe's presence on the team caused Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter to harbor some strong doubts about the new JLA, particularly after he got the League involved in a rumble with a rival gang. However, Vibe soon proved his mettle during the League's battles against Cadre, Anton Allegro, and Amazo. He stayed with the League through the first great Crisis, when his powers played a vital role in defeating Despero. He was also able to come to his teammate Steel's aid while fighting Plasmus during the Crisis by using his powers to cause the ground beneath Plasmus to crumble.

During Darkseid's assault on Earth's "legends," Paco left his JLA comrades to seek the familiar solace of the streets. Vibe was attacked by one of Professor Ivo's androids, and despite a valiant effort, became the first Justice League member to be killed in the line of duty. The Martian Manhunter brought Vibe's body back to the League's mountain sanctuary, where Vibe was laid to rest in a cryogenic chamber.

One of Vibe's younger brothers, Armando, recently developed a similar set of vibratory powers and joined Booster Gold's team of heroes, the Conglomerate, using the code names Reverb and later Hardline.

Vibe was among the dead risen by Nekron. Together with Steel, they attacked their former teammates Vixen and Gypsy in the Hall of Justice. His body was destroyed by Doctor Light.

CONTACTS: Legion

HISTORY
Salu Digby aka Shrinking Violet was born on 30th Century Earth to Imskian parents, inheriting their native ability to shrink to microscopic size. Salu grew up a very quiet and shy young girl. Despite this, she decided to attempt to join the Legion of Super-Heroes. Salu tried out for membership at the same time as Bouncing Boy and Sun Boy.

At that very same tryout, Supergirl and Brainiac 5 joined the Legion, admitted right away for their impressive powers. Due to her lack of confidence Salu failed in her first attempt to join. Triplicate Girl saw something special about this miniature applicant and convinced her to try again. Salu proved her mettle and became thirteenth member of the Legion.

Shrinking Violet proved a very useful Legionnaire though very shy around new people. Salu started a long-distance relationship with Duplicate Boy, of the Heroes of Lallor. Salu stayed true to Duplicate Boy even when pursued romantically by fellow Legionnaire Colossal Boy. Salu took Duplicate Boy to her home planet of Imsk on vacation, but was attacked by the Fatal Five. After the couple was rescued by the Legion, Colossal Boy again showed an interest in Salu, but she chose to return to her one true love Duplicate Boy.

The planet Imsk's relationship with the United Planets has always been strained. Imsk threatened to secede from the United Planets over a dispute involving hunting rights.

When Earth's and the solar system was struck by a mysterious shrinking plague, the United Planets accused the Imskians and tensions grew between Salu and the rest of the Legionnaires. The Legion of Super-Heroes eventually discovered that the plague was engineered by Dr. Regulus and they worked together to stop him.

After a few years of service to the Legion, she was abducted by Imskian radicals led by Micro Lad who wished to replace her with a Durlan named Yera who used her native shape shifting abilities to assume her identity.

Element Lad who at the time was the Legions appointed deputy leader, and Science Police liaison Shvaughn Erin became suspicious of the fake Salu when Yera fell in love with Colossal Boy, who had unrequited crush on the real Salu for years. The Durlan's charade was exposed and Salu was rescued from the Imskian radicals by the team.

When she recovered from her abduction, Salu resumed her position as a Legionnaire. The incident changed her personality making her more cynical and more violent to criminals. This lead her to learn various fighting techniques making her one of the skilled Legionnaire's in hand-to-hand combat. It was also after she had recovered from her confinement that she broke up with Duplicate Boy, who had known that her replacement was a Durlan and not her, but didn't let anyone in the Legion know about it.

Currently Salu is dating fellow Legionnaire, Lightning Lass.

CONTACTS: JLA; Suicide Squad

HISTORY:
Mari McCabe is a Zambesi-born American businesswoman and model. She fights crime as Vixen with the aid of the Tantu Totem that allows her to wield the powers of the animal kingdom.

In ancient Africa, there was a legend that the warrior Tantu asked Anansi the Spider to create a totem that would give the wearer all of the powers of the animal kingdom, if they would use the power to protect the innocent. It is possible that the "Anansi" who Tantu met, may have been a member of the alien race who gave Buddy Baker the ability to tap the Morphogenetic Field. Mari's Tantu totem may tap into that same field. Tantu used the totem to become the first legendary hero of Africa. The totem was later passed down to Tantu's descendants until it reached the McCabes.

Growing up in a small African village, Mari Jiwe McCabe heard the legend of the Tantu Totem from her parents. She was the daughter of Reverend Richard Jiwe, the village priest, who was her sole caretaker, as poachers, lead by a man named Aku Kwesi, killed her mother years ago. Reverend Jiwe himself was killed by his half-brother (Mari's uncle) General Maksai. Makasai wanted the Tantu Totem, which had been in Reverend Jiwe's possession.

Now orphaned, she fled to America. She set up an identity for herself as Mari McCabe and used her beauty to become a well-known fashion model in New York City. She used her newfound wealth to travel the world. On a trip back to Africa, she came across her uncle, and stole back the Tantu Totem, using its power to become the Vixen.

After this, Vixen made only two appearances as a solo crime fighter: once fighting poachers in India and then against the techno-psycho criminal, Admiral Cerebrus. In fact, she was a reluctant hero until the Justice League of America was reorganized by Aquaman. She applied for full-time League membership and was accepted. During her time with the JLA, the totem was taken from her by General Maksai, who still sought its power. The totem would only grant its full power to those who would use it to protect the innocent, and caused it Maksai to be transformed into a raging beast. Maksai was killed in battle with Vixen. Vixen continued with that particular incarnation of the JLA until it was disbanded by the Martian Manhunter.

When the League disbanded, Vixen returned to modelling; but a Caribbean photo session turned violent, and Mari's colleagues were killed by drug smugglers. She appealed to the government, who turned the matter over to the Suicide Squad. Going undercover to capture the drug kingpin Cujo. Along with Captain Boomerang and Black Orchid, she destroyed the operation, but not before she lost control and killed the criminal kingpin, too. Revolted by what she had become, she agreed to work with the Squad until her animal instincts could be curbed.

She worked with the Squad for some time, although when it was disbanded for a year Mari returned to modelling and even launched a successful line of clothing. Her failed romance with Ben Turner (the Bronze Tiger) made Vixen decline an offer to rejoin the Squad; but sensing a chance to help the tortured Turner, Vixen reluctantly agreed to return and served through the end of its existence. She ultimately gave up on a future with the Tiger, sensing that he would never admit to needing help.

After the Suicide Squad's heyday, Mari continued to do undercover work. She was drafted for at least one mission for Checkmate (the Squad's brother organization). At some point, she signed on to work with Oracle's Birds of Prey. She went undercover to investigate a strange "superhero" cult, where the leader was able to mind-control her. The Huntress tried to help her and was nearly killed by Vixen, but Vixen regained her senses and used the stubbornness of a mule to hold back the mind-control of the cult leader. She and Huntress then rescued the other brainwashed heroes.

Vixen may still have trouble controlling her animal side while using the totem, as witnessed when she worked alongside the Flash to stop Gorilla Grodd. She also served on one mission with the Justice League Task Force; came to Wonder Woman's aid during a battle with Circe; and helped her former JLA comrades protect Lex Luthor. She then joined the loose-knit Ultramarine Corps until they moved on to another universe.

During the Identity Crisis she was at the side of Firestorm while battling the Shadow Thief, and Firestorm was impaled by the Shining Knight's sword, which the Shadow Thief had stolen. The magical sword ruptured the nuclear man's containment field, resulting in Firestorm's body exploding. For killing Firestorm, the Shadow Thief was prosecuted by Kate Spencer (a.k.a. Manhunter IX), and Vixen testified during the trial.

Vixen was lured to a bar in Hub City, by a supposed note sent by the Question. When arriving at the bar, she was ambushed by the Electrocutioner and Plastique. Plastique quickly grabbed her Totem from around her waist and escaped with Electrocutioner in a Boom Tube as Plastique destroyed the bar. Mari managed to pull herself from the wreckage as she began to lose control of her powers, due to the Totem missing and unable to channel them properly.

After hours of being free with her powers, forgetting almost all her memories including her name, Vixen began to regain control as she remembered the Totem being stolen from her. Latching on to being human, she began her pursuit of finding her missing Totem. As she searched, a stinging pain hit her as Arsenal shot the android Amazo in the back, where her Totem was implanted by Professor Ivo. Vixen immediately located it and used the powers of a falcon to tear through Amazo and grab her totem.

Before the battle, Vixen was considered by Superman to be part of the League, however, both Batman and Wonder Woman felt she was not ready for the League. Nonetheless, due to her part in defeating Amazo, Vixen was invited to be on the new Justice League of America, now located in Washington, D.C., along with the other heroes present during the battle with Amazo.

Not long after a couple of missions Vixen noticed a change in her powers which means she is no longer drawing on animal characteristics but rather the powers of those around her, matching their skill levels and, she suspects, draining powers from the owners themselves. Superman is first to catch on to this and she subsequently reveals it to Red Arrow.

Later she seeks out her former Suicide Squad teammate Bronze Tiger to discuss her situation, and subsequently admits everything to the League. Chairperson Black Canary instructs her to hand in her credentials and removes her from the team, but then discusses with Mari the possibility of seeking Zatanna's assistance in fixing the properties of the totem.

When Zatanna attempts to find the source of the problem, she sees a mystic image of Vixen and Animal Man as puppets. When she tries to break the spell, she is repelled by an unknown force. When Vixen attempts to defeat the newly-restored Amazo by absorbing all his stolen powers, she becomes mysteriously weak. She falls unconscious, with Amazo bearing down on her. Amazo is later defeated and Vixen departs to visit Animal Man with other JLA members to seek help for her condition.

Vixen and the other JLA members along with Animal Man are taken inside the Tantu Totem, where the Trickster God Anansi reweaves history so that the current form of the JLA never came about. Vixen escapes and teams up with an alternate history JLA in order to combat Anansi only for him to change them. She uses her last gambit and threatens the destruction of the tantu totem unless Anansi fixes what he has done, he relents.

It is then that Anansi explains that while he controls the stories inside the totem, the world outside the totum is changing. The alteration of the universe worries him, as great damage can be done. He only manipulated Vixen so that he can make her into the type of person she needs to be, so that that she is prepared for what is to come. He then returns the JLA back to normal and and gives her the powers back as they were.

Vixen returns to her home village for the first time in years only to find that Kwesi, the man who killed her mother, has taken over many of the local Zambesi villages. Vixen easily dispatches a number of Kwesi's troops showing the villagers her powers in the process. Many of the villagers, now fearful of her supernatural nature, ask her to leave so that she does not bring Kwesi's wrath on the village. Vixen soon confronts Kwesi directly and is surprised to find that he has powers of his own. Kwesi shows speed power and claws that rival anything Vixen possesses. He is able to severely wound her after their initial engagement. Vixen finds that she has great trouble healing the wounds, which turn out to be poisoned. While in her injured state, her JLA communicator is activated, and the Justice League travels to Africa to assist her.

Vixen later finds out that Kwesi is being funded by Intergang and that his powers are actually produced by advanced technology and chemicals. One of these chemicals, a Vodun zombie potion modified to be effective against Superman, infects the Kryptonian and Black Canary. Whisper A'Daire turns out to be the head of the this Intergang plot, and through the uses of the zombie potion takes control of the two heroes and turns them against their fellow Leaguers.

HISTORY:
Adrianna Tereshkova was born in Arkhangelsk, Russia. Adrianna and her sister Svetlana were raised by their father after the death of their mother. Her father loved Adrianna and her ambition to become a cosmonaut and encouraged her with legends of the Archangel after whom the village was named. In their tales, the Archangel was a creature made of silver who would take chosen ones to the stars.

When Adrianna was sixteen, her sister died in a car accident. Adrianna never went to the funeral, but found comfort with a musician. Her father disapproved and one year after Svetlana's death, he confronted her, drunk. Adrianna was his sadness and dedicated herself to becoming a cosmonaut again.

Adrianna achieved the rank of major and was sent into outer space on July 28th, 1980, 3 months after her father died of heart failure. In space, during extra-vehicular activity, Adrianna saw a sphere made of silver, which collided with their space shuttle, destroying it. A second sphere landed on Earth in Antarctica where it was collected by the American government organization International Operations (I.O.).

In the far future, the spheres had been part of Omnia, Mistress of Light. Omnia would lose her final battle against the darkness, but could not be destroyed. Instead, her power was dispersed into many small Orbs of Power. Another of these Orbs was bound to Cassandra Newland, who would turn into the enigmatic 'Providence'.

The Orb and Adrianna merged and became Void. Void had precognition allowing her to see the future, but her control was imperfect and she could see only fragments. In 1990, Void met Jacob Marlowe, a homeless drifter who suffered amnesia. Void informed Jacob about his past as the Kherubim Lord Emp. Over the next two years, Emp would build a financial empire and gathered a group of warriors to form the WildC.A.T.s. Void created them to prevent the Daemonite Helspont from abusing the Orb of Power I.O. had found. Before Helspont could use it, a criminal known as the Gnome stole the Orb. He too tried to abuse it, but Emp threw the Orb into a cold fusion reactor. Void revealed that in a previous timeline, the Gnome had killed her, but part of her was able to go back in time and influenced Void to get help before battling the Gnome.

During her time with the WildC.A.T.s, Void came to learn of two other Orbs of power: Providence had become a member of Helspont's Cabal and often came in conflict with the WildC.A.T.s. The other Orb was in the possession of the mad Kherubim Lord Entropy. When Entropy kidnapped Emp and restored his memory, Void sensed the use of the Orb and took the WildC.A.T.s to him. They defeated Entropy and he and the Orb disappeared. Shortly afterwards, Void fought Providence, who had allied with the witch Tapestry. Tapestry betrayed Providence by refusing to hand over the captive Void to her. Tapestry used her magic to merge Providence and Void, enslaving them both. Tapestry was defeated though and Providence and Void returned to normal, though now they could no longer sense each other's presence.

When the WildC.A.T.s faced the alien Crusade, Crusade hit Void, dislodging her face. Her face fell like a mask to the floor and human reporters saw that there was nothing but emptiness behind it. Confronted with her loss of humanity, Void fled. When she returned Savant helped her deal with her loss by talking to the reporters telling them about the sacrifices she made for the human race. Void convinced Lord Emp to return to the WildC.A.T.s and her powers of time travel were essential during their following mission battling the time-traveling Puritans who wanted to prevent the Kherubim and Daemonites from ever landing on Earth. The strain of being a temporal anchor and making several timejumps were too much for Void and she disappeared, leaving the WildC.A.T.s stranded in ancient Rome. She eventually made her way back to the present due to the Gnome trying to recreate his Orb of Power. Void's essence was used for the Orb, but DV8 interfered with his plans and their member Copycat, guided by Providence, managed to restore Void to her regular self. Soon afterwards, the WildC.A.T.s disbanded following the apparent death of Zealot.

Void became more and more inhuman over the years; where Void and Adrianna were once one and the same, now their personalities started to diverge. Finally Adrianna had enough; Void's inhumanity was driving her insane. Inside her mind, Adrianna and Void met, and Adrianna asked Void to finally release her soul. Void agreed as she no longer needed a human host.

Adrianna's spirit moved on and Void appeared in the Halo Corporation, home of former Wildcat Spartan, now known as Jack Marlowe. Void started working for Jack Marlowe, who was studying Void's ability of teleportation. When she teleported, Void moved through Otherspace, a dimension filled with energy. Marlowe's assistant, Noir, saw the possibilities in harvesting Otherspace, but he saw Void as a threat. He sabotaged a nuclear reactor, causing a leak. The leak caused Void's physical form to slowly break down. Marlowe did what he could to cure Void, but in the end found out that without Adrianna, Void had no will to live. Marlowe offered his robotic body as a new host and Void and Marlowe, merged, vastly increasing Marlowe's already impressive powers.

HISTORY:
Priscilla Kitaen was an exotic dancer before being rescued by the WildC.A.T.s from the Daemonites. Voodoo possessed a unique ability known as "The Sight", which allowed her to perceive a being possessed by a Daemonite and exorcise it from its host body. She was therefore important to both sides in the war. Upon joining the WildC.A.T.s she developed more significant and powerful psychic abilities as well as animalistic powers. She was taken in for training by Zealot in Coda fighting techniques. She also began a long-term relationship with team leader Spartan. Eventually Voodoo was shot and went into a coma. Void used a computer to enter Priscilla's mind and found out she was descended from a Kherubim possessed by a Daemonite making her a Kherubim/Daemonite/Human Hybrid.

When the WildC.A.T.s later traveled to Khera, the Kherubim homeworld, Voodoo was placed in a Daemonite ghetto because of her heritage. It was here that she discovered the long war between the two races had ended centuries ago and the daemonites had lost. She also discovered that not all daemonites were evil as she was led to believe. The ones she was use to combating were fanatic militants, the ones she met on Khera were citizens. When she finally found the WildC.A.T.s, she confronted Zealot about the treatment of the daemonites, Zealot in turn told her she was of an inferior race in front of the Coda sisterhood. This put a great strain on their relationship, to the point Voodoo would have nothing more to do with her or Khera. She relented and helped the WildC.A.T.s stop the Coda from trying to assassinate Zealot, who then also turned away from Khera. When they returned to Earth Voodoo couldn't forget what she experienced and left the team.

Now living in New Orleans, Priscilla returned to exotic dancing. She began working a club called the Midnight Lounge, owned by a man named Christian Charles. She became good friends with a fellow dancer named Purity. A man she met while living there was Attibon he found her a place to stay at the Royale hotel. It is here she meant a former prostitute named Freeda and a former hitman named Saturday. They would then reveal themselves as Erzulie, Papa Legba and Baron Samedi. Priscilla' boss Christian was found to have been using his dancer in a voodoo blood ritual, killing them and bathing in their blood, in order to bring his dark magician father back from the dead. Priscilla along with police detective investigating the murders, lieutenant David Dove, came just in time to save Purity from Christian but he already absorbed enough blood to resurrect his father from the dead. Priscilla channeled Erzulie and fought Christian and his father, who were no match for her dance. Luring them back to the Royale, where Baron Samedi, Erzulie and Papa Legba forced them to bow to balance and walk through a door to face Damballa, which in turn blew up the Royale. The experience made Priscilla decide to learn more about voodoo magic and she became an apprentice to a mambo.

Several months later she rejoined the WildC.A.T.s briefly. She then left the team when it disbanded after the supposed death of Zealot. She moved in with Maul, but he became more extroverted the more she tried to get closer to him, locking himself away in his lab. Jeremy in truth had fallen in love with her and was trying to come up with a method to remove her daemonite genes. Unbeknownst to her she was being followed by a daemonite possessing a old man.

Priscilla was later given a credit card from the Halo Corporation under the name Marlowe. She was then attacked by the serial killer Samuel Smith, the grandson of Slaughterhouse Smith. Samuel was trying to kill Jacob Marlowe and all his relatives. Jacob had defeated Slaughterhouse sometime in the past, and now Samuel wanted revenge. He surprise attacked her and used his powers to brutally injure her. Cutting off her legs and cutting open her throat. Spartan (who was Jack Marlowe) and Grifter were instrumental in Smith's demise. It was at this time that Grifter convinced Maul that trying to get rid of her daemonite genes may not be what Voodoo wants.

Recuperating in the hospital, the medical staff was amazed at how fast her throat injury healed. It wasn't long that she discovered a daemonite among the medical staff. Soon she was confronted by the daemonite. He explained that he was a rare conscientious objector among the daemonite military fanatics of Earth, he also claimed to be her grandfather. He taught her how to use her daemonite powers: time manipulation, and regeneration in only a few hours, she had fully regrown her legs. He told her it would be in her best interest to start a relationship with Jeremy, then he left.

The relationship became problematic, when Voodoo's telepathic powers started to increase with the amount of physical intimacy she had. Voodoo wishing to further the development of this situation, was willing to even go so far as to sleep with other men. Jeremy couldn't handle the situation at all. They would constantly fight about it. Priscilla then intentionally angered him, causing him to grow in size and therefore decrease in intellect until he forgot the reason they were fighting. Giving her the opportunity to leave the relationship.

Priscilla once again became an exotic dancer, for high end clients, such as oil shieks and billionaires. Hadrian would come and ask her to rejoin the team, and despite the amount of time that had passed between their relationship and superhero days, they still were very attracted to each other and they ended up sleeping together. She came back as an employee of the Halo Corporation, getting paid triple her former salary.

After Armageddon, Priscilla has become a more calm and understanding individual. Using her mental abilities to keep the peace in the horrible post-apocalypse the Wildcats now lives in. She is seen comforting both Spartan and Maul alike creating jealously between the two she loves. Ultimately her relationship lies with Spartan, though Maul accepts it as he saw through that he himself and Priscilla wouldn't make a perfect couple. Priscilla proved herself of being a more capable leader even when she dealt with Paris of former Stormwatch P.H.D. in establishing a easy peace between him and the animals in the Nevada Garden with human survivors outside the garden's boundary, and settling a brief truce between her team and Lord Defile's Daemonites in Los Angeles.

After her team helped Team-7 in stopping Tao, Priscilla was gifted a new and improve costume based on her original attire by Max Faraday. She and the Wildcats were later summoned to UnLondon by the Authority and notified of the chance to leave Earth on the Carrier. However, Voodoo chose to stay shortly before intervening in Earth's war against the militant Knights of Khera. During the pitch battle in UnLondon, Priscilla obligated in having Spartan resume his leadership and was given a mission of trying to locate the Garden of Ancestral Memory in gaining the Earth's help in stopping the Knights' terraforming machines. On a helpful note from Grunge, Priscilla revived the former English Doctor of the 19th century, Sir Edwin Makepeace, and communicates his spirit in the Garden for the Doctors' help. However, she learned from the spirit of Sir Edwin that the previous Doctors had already been trying to heal the Earth since the Number of the Beast incident, but came with no success. And neither do they know of the newest Doctor after Habib bin Hassan went insane. Despite this, the Knights were managed to be defeated.

Following the end of the invasion, Voodoo was tasked with the undead Sir Edwin in finding Earth's current Doctor.
