The Ring-Bearer's true power, however, is his much-vaunted Ring of Captured Suns: without it, he's merely a brick; with it, the Ring-Bearer can transform into a brilliantly radiant god.

The Ring-Bearer's extremely impulsive and prone to 'jumping the gun', so to speak. This may one day get him killed.

Void-Gunner was brutalized for months by a Moonwolf pack led by a Sunwolf; when he escaped, Void-Gunner's sanity was shattered and only the desire to end the spiritwolf 'species' keeps him from total psychological collapse. Later gaining an aesir stone only aggravated this obsession.

Void-Gunner has both an aesir stone AND wears scavenged Tlolkku gauntlet-guns.

His aesir stone lets him 'internalize' the gravimetric force of the moon's around Earth to destructive effects. This is powered by starryfire, a unique substance found only on Earth-L, Earth-M and Earth-N.

Fought at the Twilight of the Gods
The Twilight of the Gods horrified the Roman-era world. It was carnage on a scale too large for mundane humans to adequately comprehend. Towering, mile-high juggernauts fought crippled-but-godlike psychics and thousands upon thousand of regular people died, snuffed out in a way never seen before. Daemon was at the Twilight of the Gods, and the battle haunts him still; nightmares plague Daemon and sleep is rarely restful.
Unwillingly Deified by His Fellow Romans
Daemon, despite being quite arrogant, is extremely uncomfortable with any idea he is akin to Jupiter or any other gods. He fears divine retribution for such claims, and, as a pious soul, carefully makes no statements concerning his supposed 'godhood'.

History
Erzsabet was of low birth. Her early life was spent in toil. Though they found out the girl was anything but a weakling. She could lift heavy things for more than enough time. Some saw this as a blessing. At least her father did. He was a blacksmith and trained his daughter in the ways of the smith. Erzsebet was made to sit in boring lectures about how to be a proper woman. But she really didn't care. She noticed the how the guys looked at her when she worked. She wasn't going to be hurting for a suitor.

But that was not to be. The Green Star took any chance of having any life. The Star 'blessed' her with the power of evil! In a flash of dark light, she spread wings and an evil aura. Those that didn't run from her tried to kill her! She flew away from home. Far far away. Ever since then she's heard voices in her head. They tell her she is Satan's child. That she is to bring death and destruction. She has learned to tune them out.

She also learned to expand her repertoire of demonic tricks. At first she only had the ability to summon an evil sword (the voices called it Deathbringer) and to spit poison. Over the last two years she's learned many things, like how to hide her horns and wings. How to see in the dark. How to understand and speak to other no matter what language they speak. Though what really scares her is the powers that she just finds out with out trying, the Unholy Powers.

Distraction: The voices in her head are there and some time make it hard to think
Enemy: The church. It considers her one of the vilest kind of creature.
Holy Ground: Not that she's tried it herself, but she's pretty sure she'll weaken and die if brought there. The sight of holy symbols and sound of church bells already spook her.
Motivation: Doing Good. She can't change who she is or stop it, so she might as well use her powers for a good cause!

Background:
"Jonathan Francis" growing up was more of a street rat. He got by, by being unseen. When the green light filled the sky things changed. He found this out accidently while trying to pick someone’s money pouch. He touched them and all hell broke loose. His body was wracked with pain as he started changing becoming a perfect copy of the person who he touched. If that was the only part of it, he might have been amused, however in doing so his mind was filled with another conscious. He became a passenger in his own head, unable to do anything or regain control. He “became” his target in both mind and body. He knew from that day he was cursed by God for his ways. It took a while until his body and his mind reverted back to his original state of being.

Feeling such remorse, and never wanting to go through that again, he hung himself. After the constable found him, removed him, and turned him over to the morgue and buried, he awoke buried alive. He clawed his way out of the grave, much to the horror of a couple there visiting their loved ones or making a loved one, and fled into the night. He knew he killed himself, but for the life of him he couldn’t tell you what he saw or didn’t see while he was dead. All he knew was a week had gone by.

He fled into the Scottish Highlands and found out, no matter where he went he could perfectly understand anything that was said to him. So he knew that he was cursed to never die, to always suffer if he touched another being, to be possessed by that being, and to always understand whatever was spoken to him. He took to wearing clothing that fully covered every inch of his being. He kept moving from location to location hoping to find some way to end his curse which led him back to merry ole England. He heard of an angel that was helping those who have been blessed or cursed by God and made his way there. He is currently a newly arrived Scottsman to the city and recently heard the cries and incidents of the events of the past few days.

Jonathan is 5'8 and 155 lbs. He has Red hair and emerald green eyes. He has a haunted look about him, and always is covered in clothing with very little skin showing.

Background: Maryanne Reedy was born at Plymouth, England, about 1520. Her mother's husband was a sea-faring man who left on a long voyage and was never heard from again. He'd left his wife pregnant and she gave birth to a sickly male child who died soon after the illegitimate birth of his half-sister, Maryanne. The mother waited years for her husband to return and when her money ran out, she took Maryanne to London to appeal to her mother-in-law for financial help. She knew this old woman disliked girls, so she dressed Maryanne in boy's clothes and made her pretend to be her son. The mother-in-law was fooled and promised a crown a week to help support them. Maryanne continued to masquerade as a boy for many years, even after the old woman died and the financial aid ended.

Then a teenager, Maryanne was hired out as a footboy to a French woman. But she did not live there long, for growing bold and strong, and having also a roving mind, she entered herself on board a man-of-war, where she served some time; then quit it. Still disguised as a male, she enlisted in a foot regiment in Flanders and later a horse regiment, serving in both with distinction. She fell in love with a fellow soldier, disclosed her true sex, and began dressing as a female. After their marriage, she and her husband became innkeepers, owning the Three Horseshoes near the castle of Breda in Holland. Unfortunately, he died young and her fortunes soon dwindled.

She knew that life in the 1500s was much easier as a man than as a woman, so she reverted back to men's clothing and started her life over, this time going to sea on a Dutch merchant ship heading to the Caribbean. On one voyage, the ship was commandeered by English pirates with whom she sailed and fought until they accepted the King's pardon in 1553 and began operating as privateers. Maryanne was known for her violent temper, ferocious fighting, and reputation as a "fierce hell cat."

Complications
It's a Man's World - Maryanne commonly portrays herself as Mark Ready, Captain of the Calico Jack. None of her current crew know her as anything else.

Pirate Scum - Mark was a known pirate, prior to taking a pardon and starting as a privateer. This makes her unsavory to both those who have issues with pirates and with pirates who see her as a sell out. The Calico Jack was then called the Vanity, but is easily recognizable as the same ship.

Fierce "Hell Cat" - Even before the green star loosed her animalistic nature Maryanne was known for her foul temper and combative nature. Since then, her rages have become truly a horror to behold since she can easily tear a man in half with her bare hands or (more likely) teeth.

Carnivore - While Maryanne can consume small amounts of plant matter, it is not pleasant. Her digestive system has changed so that she can only gain sustenance from meat, which she prefers raw.

BACKGROUND

Sara was born three years after her elder sister, Claire. Their father died when they were young and they lost their mother to an unknown illness when Sara was twelve. With no other family to turn to, Claire took it upon herself to raise Sara. This is why Claire joined the military. As she had to take care of her sister, she didn't have the luxury of going to university or even finishing high school. It seemed the only sensible career choice. Since then, Sara has looked up to Claire as her guardian.

Possessing an inner fortitude beyond her years, she is more than capable of making decisions on her own, whatever her somewhat overprotective sister might think. In fact, Sara spends just as much time worrying about her elder sister's well-being as Claire does about Sara's. Especially the last year, her sister seemed more detached and lonely than ever. She was a straight-A student and majored in history. Sara is mature and wise, and cares deeply for those around her. Despite the grave circumstances she stays positive and believes in a better future as long as she has her sister and friends by her side.

She had just started teaching when everything changed. She was in her class when suddenly she got a splitting headache. Everything momentarily went black before her eyes, and when she came to, it was pandemonium. Her desk, which she slumped over was encased in crystal. Even worse, her left arm was half made of crystal. The children were fleeing the classroom screaming 'Mutant! Mutant! Miss Farron is a mutant!'.

When they came for her, she was still sitting dazed in her classroom. They took her away and all she could think about was who would now take care of her sister. In the transport to God knows where, she felt something urging her to let go, to let it take control if she wanted to be saved. She was about to do just that when Claire showed up. It shouldn't have been possible, really, it shouldn't. Actually, nothing about that afternoon seemed real, from what happened to her to how insanely strong her sister suddenly was, but in the end, they were saved.

She is back to teaching. And learning. There's an entire multiverse out there and so much history! Furthermore she insisted Claire teach her the basics of fighting. She never wants to feel so helpless as that afternoon again. The strange presence is also still there. She's not sure what it is, or wants and has kept it secret for now. While experimenting with her powers, away from prying eyes, she has learned to channel a little bit of it's power through herself. Still, even that tiny trickle is enough that she is no longer really in control. At most, it's a sort of negotiation. This presence is worrying, yes, but she's optimistic. It doesn't feel malevolent, and she hopes she can come to understand it.

Anyway, Star Corps is great, her new class is fantastic, there are so many new things to learn and new friends to meet, so why brood? Talking about brooding, hopefully the people here can make her sister whole again. Well, she's sure they can, and she'll be here to help her too!

COMPLICATIONS
  • Eternal optimist - There is always a silver lining, always hope and a new, shiny day.
  • People Person - Sara always sees the good in people. Claire says she is too trusting, naive even, but that's just her sister being overprotective, right? Of course it is!
  • Secret - Ragnarok - When she mutated, something woke up. Something was linked to her. She doesn't yet know what is or wants, but is trying to find out. Whatever it is, it must be possible to get to understand it and work together! Hey, who knows, it just might her unconsciousness or something equally innocent, right?
  • Relationship - Claire Farron - She worries about her sister. Years working as a Paladin have been hard on Claire, even harder than fighting on the frontlines. She will do what's necessary to make her sister smile, happy even!

The Twilight of the Gods horrified the Roman-era world. It was carnage on a scale too large for mundane humans to adequately comprehend. Daemon was at the Twilight of the Gods, and the battle haunts him still; nightmares plague Daemon and sleep is rarely restful.
Tolerant of and Friendly Towards Christians
During the reign of Emperor Hadrian, Christians were viewed with a great deal of suspicion and disdain. Despite being staunchly pagan, however, Daemon not only tolerates Christians but goes out of his way to befriend them. He disagrees with them deeply on nearly all religious matters---but watching such persecution makes Daemon's blood boil. As a result, Roman Christians view Daemon as an ally and friend.
Unwillingly Deified by His Fellow Romans
Daemon, despite being quite arrogant, is extremely uncomfortable with any idea he is akin to Jupiter or any other gods. He fears divine retribution for such claims, and, as a pious soul, carefully makes no statements concerning his supposed 'godhood'.

Furthermore, Daemon is a powerful-but-primitive geokinetic. Theoretically, he could train these abilities to truly astonishing levels with much greater finesse

Deceptively Delicate
Strength need not necessarily mean a hulking musculature. The Unstoppable Force is dainty and slender and looks like she could go tumbling away in a strong wind: the truth, however, is that she's a frighteningly powerful brick. While this can work to her advantage, few people take the Unstoppable Force seriously---even the good guys!
