How about a WHAT's UP DOC?!?! SPECIAL for our Bestiary Aisle!

Image

RABBIT
PL2

Dodge +6 [DC16] Parry +5 [DC15]
Toughness -3, Fortitude +-2, Will +1

COMPLICATIONS:
Disability: Rabbits cannot speak nor use their paws to easily manipulate objects.
Horny: There's a reason that the phrase "breed like rabbits" exists. Rabbits get it on and get babies out as fast as any mammals on the planet.

Abilities -14 + Skills 2 (4 ranks) + Advantages 2 + Powers 28 + Defenses 1 = 19 / 19

Comments: I’ve always hand-waved characters in D&D-type RPGs doing some basic hunting to get rabbits, squirrels, deer, etc. to cook and eat out in the wilderness. But I figure at some point, I’ll be a dick and actually take the time for them to try and hunt something down and kill it. Granted, in the case of this rabbit here, it should be no problem for even really low level PCs, but it could be a hook for them to be so focused on the rabbit, they don’t notice the Dire Bear that’s been hunting THEM…

I will probably whip up a Dire Rabbit at some point and of course, the Rabbit of Caerbannog, one the funniest freakin’ things in movie history.

Comments: While I was working on woodland creatures, I figured I would whip up some deer. Again, if I actually make characters hunt for food, you’ve got to have these guys, one of the primary food sources for all manner of predators in North America and similar environments across the world.

Cool animals, Thorp! I always thought that M&M handled such things even better than D&D, as something like a Griffin should always be at least a bit of a difficult challenge to overcome, even for an established hero. Once a Fighter or Mage hits a certain level, a Griffin is barely a speedbump. At PL 7, he's actually a bit dangerous to even PL 10-11 heroes.

Oh yeah, that thing is great. I would have tried building one, but I have no idea how to convert Pathfinder builds to M&M. I know it's possible, though, since Jab's done at least one Pathfinder to M&M conversion.

Hey! Nobody takes thinly veiled shots at D&D on this thread, buster! Unless you're making fun of 4E, which sucked. Or THACO. Which sucked. Or the lack of new books in 5E, which sucks.

But other than that, you show some respect for the granddaddy of them of all around here, mister! ;)

Build Comments: I think we all know it had to released sometime in the Thorpacoverse. And I didn’t mess around.

Secret Origins: Some myths say that the Kraken was a monster created by Hades, the Lord of the Dead, from furious anger and hatred. This monster was much too powerful, similar to Typhon, and was imprisoned in a cave at the bottom of the sea.

When Cassiopeia, the Queen of Ethiopia, boasted that her daughter was more beautiful than Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty herself, Zeus ordered Poseiden to release the Kraken to attack the city. Zeus told the city that if Cassiopeia gave her daughter, Andromeda, as a sacrifice to the Kraken, he would go back to his prison and leave the city alone.

Cassiopeia refused to give her daughter as a sacrifice but the townspeople kidnapped her and chained her to a rock right by the ocean. When the Kraken emerged from the sea, he was just about to consume Andromeda but Perseus returned with the head of Medusa and turned the Kraken to stone.

The Story so Far: Unbeknownst to the world at large, the Kraken was a female and had produced at least one offspring. That Kraken now is currently imprisoned somewhere under the Atlantic Ocean.

I know Prodigyduck on the other forum had a conversion method. I did one myself by getting ideas from Prodigyduck and others.
