That's odd. Everything looks fine to me. I can see the pictures on my phone and at work.
The pictures are showing up fine for me as well.
Oddly, now I see some of my pics at work and on my phone and some I don't. Any thoughts, Ares? Do I need to change a setting or something?
I can see them fine, so I'd say it's more likely an issue of Photobucket itself. In which case, my only suggestion would be to switch to Smugmug.

That's what I figured. I'll check out Smugmug.

You'd swear for how often I shill for them that I get some kind of commission for new subscribers, but I just really like their service. :) Ask Jab.

Yeah, I noticed the pictures disappearing, but now I can see them. I figured it was a PB issue.

They're now promising a much better set-up (and have LOUDLY stated that the new management is unaffiliated with the old guard that over-charged for their service), but I doubt I trust their brand-name that much. I pay a bit for SmugMug, but it's still only $45 or so, and I feel a bit safer with my stuff on there.

We've got a SUPERIOR SPECIAL hitting the Aisle 2 shelves as we drop back into the Spider-Verse!

Relationships: Otto still has strong feeling for Anna Maria Marconi.
Secret Identity: Otto hides his identity of both being a clone of Peter Parker and his own Otto Octavius identity with an assumed identity of Eliot Tolliver.
Superiority Complex: Otto is out to prove that he is a better Spider-Man than the real Peter Parker could ever be, but that sometimes comes with consequences he can’t foresee.

Abilities 102 + Skills 28 (56 ranks) + Advantages 3 + Powers 94 + Defenses 11 = 238 / 238

Build Comments: I already posted Otto/Eliot/Peter Parker clone as the Superior Octopus but now he's back as the Superior Spider-Man in Spider-Geddon AND after that he's getting his own book again. So now we'll have Pete, Miles and Otto all swinging around the main Marvel U for a while. That means Pete will probably "die" again soon but I'll enjoy all the Spidey goodness as long as we have it.

As a build, I made him Pete's equal instead of Superior, since Pete usually beats him even though Otto has more weaponry.

Secret Origins: Otto Octavius was raised in an oppressive household, with an overprotective mother, and a harsh, abusive father. His mother encouraged the young Otto, already a good student, to push himself in school, in the hopes that he would have a better life than his factory worker father. Otto was awarded a scholarship for university, shortly before his father died in a workplace accident. Becoming obsessed with schoolwork after his father's death, Otto applied himself even harder to his studies in science. He graduated and got work with an engineering firm, soon becoming a respected nuclear physicist and research consultant, as well as working as an inventor and lecturer. He soon developed a remarkable invention- a chest harness that connected the wearer to four mechanical arms. This invention earned him a new nickname: Doctor Octopus. Around this time, he became involved with a fellow researcher, Mary Alice Anders, to whom he eventually proposed marriage. However, the happy couple was broken up by Otto's mother, who disapproved of the young bride-to-be. Otto broke off the engagement at his mother's behest, but she died soon after in the middle of an argument with her son. Having lost all of his social ties, Otto became more withdrawn and sullen, and grew obsessively dedicated to his work while simultaneously throwing professional and operational caution to the wind.

This recklessness with his personal safety lead directly to an accident that would change his life forever. A radiation leak in the lab caused an explosion, which fused the harness and limbs onto his body. The radiation simultaneously caused mutations in his brain, allowing him to have direct control over the arms through telepathy. Driven insane by the accident and the damage it had caused to his body and mind, Doctor Octopus became dedicated to a life of crime.

The Story so Far: Doctor Octopus was the impetus for the formation of the original Sinister Six, which occurs following a series of defeats at the hands of Spider-Man. He gathers five other villains who have faced, and been defeated by, Spider-Man. Though he tells the other villains that together they will be able to defeat Spider-Man, he secretly plans to wait until all the other villains have tried and failed to kill their foe, at which point he will step in and defeat the greatly weakened hero. He kidnapped Betty Brant and May Parker to bait Spider-Man into the fights and when, as predicted, his teammates fail, he steps in and battles Spider-Man in a large fishbowl-like tank, planning to drown the hero. He is ultimately defeated.

Doctor Octopus becomes embroiled in a gang war against Hammerhead following the retirement of the Kingpin. The two wage an extremely destructive war throughout the streets of New York City in dual, competing bids to gain control over the vast criminal empire left behind. Spider-Man ultimately defeats both men, and Octavius is sent to prison.

Octavius attempts to marry May Parker, in the hopes of acquiring a Canadian nuclear power plant that she has inherited. The marriage ceremony is interrupted by Hammerhead, and the two men begin a fight that soon includes Spider-Man. The battle ultimately results in the explosion of the power plant, and the death of Hammerhead. Octavius manages to escape the island unharmed, but finds himself homeless, and haunted by the spirit of Hammerhead. He soon restores his enemy to life, simply to be rid of him.

Later, Octavious is among the villains transported to Battleworld by the Beyonder. There, he and his fellow villains are forced to battle a team of heroes who have been similarly transported to the planet without explanation. While on the planet, he rebels against the machinations of Doctor Doom, along with the other villains, and engages in skirmishes with the heroes. Ultimately, he is returned to Earth along with the other combatants.

He kept on his crime spree after his return to earth. At some time he became extremely afraid of Spider-Man and everything that had something to do with spiders. He tried to keep up his criminal activities but was almost paralyzed whenever Spider-man would intervene. At one point it even became so bad that the arms started to control Otto himself. Luckily, he managed to get back in control and he eventually overcame his fears. It was at this time that Otto started a new incarnation of the Sinister Six in hopes of making Spider-man's life a living hell.

He later saves Spider-Man when he had been poisoned by the Vulture. He does this, not out of a sense of altruism, but because he believes he is the only person who should be allowed to defeat his hated enemy. While attending to the injured Spider-Man, he learns the hero's secret identity. Following this discovery, he allows himself to be captured by police, expecting to be rescued by Stunner, who has been incapacitated and thus rendered unable to help him. Shortly after this he is murdered by Kaine. Resurrected some time later through the assistance of The Hand, he is revealed to have no memory of Spider-Man's true identity, as this discovery was not recorded on the computer chip that was used to reconstruct his memories.

Octaviuss had much trouble with returning to life and getting back his memories, most of all, he had to accept these memories. He was helped out by the female Doctor Octopus, whom was a huge admirer of him and had taken in his place when he had died. He finally managed to make amends with his past life and vowed to become a superior scientist and 'evil' genius once more.

Doctor Octopus, now in telepathic control of four additional cybernetic limbs and several "Octobots," learns that his years of fighting have irreparably damaged his body, leaving him with only months to live. Using the Octobots, he takes control of all the technology of New York City, hoping to transform the city into a utopia that is totally controlled by him. He is defeated by Spider-Man and several others, but escapes justice. He soon assembles a large supervillain team, and directs them to retrieve a number of items for him. Meanwhile, he targets the infant son of Menace, whose blood is composed entirely of Goblin serum, which he believes can be used to cure his failing body. Following the loss of the baby, he assembles a new Sinister Six, who fights alongside him against the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man. The heroes manage to defeat Octavius' plans to destroyan army base. Later, he kidnaps Tony Stark, with whom he had worked many years previously, before either had become involved in supervillainy or superheroics. He forces Stark to help him fix his broken body, and threatens to detonate a nuclear bomb should Stark fail. When Stark suggests seeking outside help, Octavius reveals that he expects Stark to fail, and hopes to use the explosion of the bomb, now set to go off in six minutes, to prove once and for all that he, Octavius, is the more intelligent of the two. Stark was able to foil his plans, but Doc Ock escaped.

Doc Ock's octobots took over the Apogee 1 Space Station and Spider-Man and the Human Torch have to head out to investigate it. They find John Jameson holding out against the rest of the crew who have been taken over and controlled by the octobots. As Spider-Man and Johnny defeat the octobots, Doctor Octopus attempts to destroy their shuttle on re-entry but fails. He turns to the Sinister Six an begins his final plan.

From his secret underwater headquarters Doc Ock raises his Octahedral and activates his "choir invisible". With his health deteriorating and death coming soon he uses the octo-satellites to scorch the earth by harnessing the greenhouse effect. He announces his plans to the world but offers to reverse the effects of Global Warming in exchange of their compliance. Doc Ock sends the Sinister Six to various locations to steal specific items, each being a means to take out the Avengers. He appeals before the UN where Chameleon is posing as Al Gore. When Spider-Man warns them and outs Chameleon, Doc Ock threatens to use his Octavian Lens once more.

When Doc Ock and the Sinister Six meet up to pick up Chameleon, it is revealed the Avengers tailed him. The Sinister Six take on the Avengers who are defeated one by one thanks to the Doc Ock's plans. Spider-Man is left to Doc Ock but manages to escape thanks to a distraction by Silver Sable. He returns again to his secret base and announces his demands to the world. Clean records for the Sinister Six, 2 billion in each of their accounts, and an academy built in his name & honor. He reveals he has factories around the world waiting to implement his plan upon the world’s compliance.

The remaining Sinister Six begin to question furthering their plan when Doc Ock threatens them to carry out their mission. Doc Ock broadcasts a message to the "Dark Corners", a group of various villains including Crossbones and Titanium Man, to carry out his plans upon his death. Unfortunately Titanium Man is a national hero in Russia and he alerts Spider-Man of the message. As Spider-Man continues to interfere with Doc Ock's plans he fires his Octavian Lens upon half the world, incinerating Symkaria and many more counries.

The incineration of Symkaria was revealed to be an act by Mysterio who is currently operating a Doc Ock battle suit and fighting Spider-Man. When Dock Ock realizes this he scolds Mysterio who turns to Spider-Man's side and reveals the location of Doc's secret base in Guatemala. When Spider-Man, Silver Sable and Black Widow arrive they are met by the Avengers under control by the octo-bots. Spider-Man finally makes it to Doc Ock who reveals his plans true intentions. Octavius had planned to kill just enough of the population so that those remaining would rebuild in his image and never forget him. Doc Ock is forced to use all eight of his suit's arms to restrain Spider-Man which causes him to eject from his suit to reach the lens control panel. Spider-Man breaks free and smashes the controls stopping Doc's plans once and for all.

Using a modified Octobot, Octavius successfully transfers his consciousness into Spider-Man. Leaving him with Peter's memories and body and Peter Parker in Doctor Octopus's dying one. Leaving Peter for dead, Otto begins to take on Spider-Man's life as his own. Peter eventually took control of the golden Octobot and had the Scorpion, Hydro-Man and the Trapster free him from the Raft. It was then that Peter tried to redo the body switch with Ock, but he had taken precautions to keep that from happening, but Peter instead had Otto relive all of Peter's moments showing Dr. Octopus how much had wasted his life. As a result of Peter's personality engrafted on his own, Dr. Octopus decided to continue on as Spider-Man and make up for his past mistakes as the Superior Spider-man.

After his victory over Spider-Man Otto breaks into one of his own laboratories in order to create the new equipment he wishes to use for being Spider-Man. As he breaks in he sets off the laboratories defense systems and Otto is forced to fight off his own creations while a video of himself mocks him in the process. Vowing that Doctor Octopus's days of losing are over Otto dons his newly finished Spider-Man suit.

He spent over a year in the body of Peter Parker. He truly tried to be a hero and in some way, improved on many areas of both Peter’s and Spider-Man’s lives. However, unfortunately he also created a host of new problems for Peter. Otto sacrificed himself to allow Peter to save his love, Anna Maria Marconi and seemed to be dead for good after allowing his psyche to be deleted.

However, Otto had actually transferred his consciousness into Living Brain and while The Jackal again attempted to disrupt Peter’s life again with more clones, Otto was able to transfer his mind into a clone of Peter and become the Superior Octopus.

After The Inheritors were able to return thanks to his creation of cloning tech based on their technology, Otto, now using the alias of Eliot Tolliver, resuming his role as the Superior Spider-Man and recruited his own Spider Army to end The Inheritors once and for all.

After The Inheritors were defeated again he resumed his new life in San Francisco and has become it’s protector.

Characterization: Eogmaniacal and twisted, Otto Octavious is one of Spider-Man’s oldest and truly, most dangerous foes. He is one of the world's leading authorities on nuclear radiation and its effect on animal physiology as well as a brilliant engineer and inventor. Doctor Octopus is a superb strategist and a charismatic leader.

Friends and Foes: His greatest relationship is with Spider-Man as it is his life’s goal to defeat him and prove his superiority over him.

Abilities 82 + Skills 7 (14 ranks) + Advantages 12 + Powers 91 + Defenses 12 = 204 / 204

Build Comments: I do so love it when the comic companies embrace their silly stuff along with their more serious characters of recent times. Spider-Ham is a prime example. In the Spider-Verse crossover, there are a few obligatory jokes about the Spider-Pig (cue the music) but for the most part, he’s treated just like any of the other Spider folk and Slott actually made him a key part of the final battle with Morlun’s family. He just seemed like one of the gang, along with Spider Monkey. It’s like they all just accepted the craziness of the whole situation and with all the Spiders and just rolled with it.

And he's going to be in the Into the Spider-Verse movie coming out soon, which has been getting rave reviews, so I expect his legend will grow as he is introduced to the mainstream.

I almost made him like PL14 just for the heck of it, but he stays in line with most of the other Spiders for now. The key phrase there is “for now”…

Secret Origins: Peter Porker was born a spider (simply named Peter) on Earth-1507. He resided in the basement lab of May Porker, a slightly goofy animal scientist who had created "the world's first atomic powered hairdryer", hoping that "the introduction of nuclear fusion into America's beauty salons" would "revolutionize the hair care industry". After dousing her head with water and activating the dryer, May Porker accidentally irradiated herself, and in a fit of delusion, bit Peter, who then found himself transformed into an anthropomorphic swine much like May Porker herself. Running from the Porker homestead disoriented, Peter soon came to realize that he still retained a spider's abilities:

The Story so Far: After this startling series of events, Peter (who adopted the surname "Porker", that of his benefactor May Porker, who after the accident mentally attuned to a state in which she believed she was Peter's loving aunt) dedicated himself and his new-found abilities to fighting injustice. May Porker's scientific genius was transferred to Peter, giving him the know-how to devise his webspinner gauntlets to replace his lost natural ability.

Porker, in his spider-themed alter-ego's first adventure teamed up with Captain Americat, as they attempted to foil the nefarious plot of "The Marauder", in a series of events that led to the creation of the Hulk-Bunny.

Several months later, Spider-Ham encountered his main nemesis and one of his only re-occurring enemies in the form of Ducktor Doom. Spider-Ham would meet again with Doom when Porker would foil the would-be world conqueror's plot to create an army of living super vegetables.

He also meets J. Jeremiah Jackal, Jr. (J. Jonah Jackal's nephew), Bunson Bunny and Upton Adam Stray (a cat with shades), all junior trainees at the Daily Beagle. They acquire super-powers, encouraging Spider-Ham in his already made decision to abandon his super-hero career. But they totally fumble their first mission, forcing Peter Porker to resume his alterego as Spider-Ham.

Peter has also worked with and/or clashed with Deerdevil, Goose Rider, the Fantastic Fur, the Sub-Merchandizer (a dog) and the Sub-Marsupial (possibly a wombat).

During the Spider-Verse storyline which featured Spider-Men from various alternate realities, Spider-Ham became a member of the Spider-Army fighting against the Inheritors. He played a crucial role in the final confrontation, leading to the Inheritors defeat.

Characterization: Peter Porker is one of the greatest heroes of his, or any world.

Friends and Foes: Peter is close to his “mother” May Porker and his allies Captain Americat and Iron Mouse. He has formed friendships with my other the Spider people from across the Mutlitverse.

His greatest enemy is Ducktor Doom. Other notable menaces Porker has faced include the Bullfrog, the Buzzard, Hog-zilla, the Kingpig, and Raven the Hunter.

OVERWATCH

Let’s get this out of the way: never played Overwatch. Probably never will play Overwatch. I recall someone accusing Jab of having “a raging hate boner for first person shooters.” That’s actually me. I suck at modern FPS’s and I hate them. HALO, Call of Duty, Doom, you name it, I suck at it and therefore I hate it. Now Duck Hunt and me, we get along. Third person games and me do alright. FPS? Go away, all of you!

Come at me about it all you want, no amount of logic will change my POV. Because my POV skills in FPS sucks therefore they are evil!

But, no matter what the game genre, interesting character designs will always catch my attention. Overwatch is one of those games. I lost my son for weeks during his obsession with it as I’m sure many of you have lost hours or friends and family to it at its peak. I love this video from one of my favorite geek culture comedy groups, Loading Ready Run, about it.

Overwatched...

Not ever playing it, I didn’t pay much attention to things about it even as Woodclaw and Jab were doing their builds. Then I was YouTube surfing and I watched the animated short Honor and Glory. Then Recall. Then Infiltration. And then I was in. I spent the better part of last Sunday watching and re-watching all the shorts, origin vids, character guides, etc. while I was hung-over (it’s hell getting old, folks…I didn’t drink that much the night before and I was toast until late in the day…) and I knew the build run was on like Donkey Kong.

Donkey Kong…Now that’s a game, young whippersnappers! 8-)

I don’t plan on doing all the characters, either now or ever, really, but I’ll hit a few I like in this initial run then add on as the mood strikes as I usually do. Plus, they keep adding characters so I’ll never be “done”, much like any genre of builds. Heck, even Jab and Kreuz’s Overwatch lists are incomplete now. And that rarely happens with any genre they take on! ;)

I’m building the characters semi-games accurate where I will get the feel of their abilities but alter some to be more Thorpocaverse setting appropriate. Basically I'm building them like their cutscene/comic/animated short versions. I am going to go back and do the same for the fighting game builds that I am leaving here as well.

Like most video game builds, if I was being more accurate all the characters should be the same PL because they get balanced pretty well to allow players to pick ones they like without being penalized. Allegedly... But mine will be varied and some will get overpowered or nerfed depending on how I see them fitting into my world as a whole. Doomfist will get a PL bump as the big bad, same with Reinhardt, at least on defense because he’s f’n awesome, whereas Orisa and Symmetra will probably be of lower PL than they could be (if I even build them) because I don’t see them as key characters.

Also, I might not be posting their backgrounds yet as I a trying to figure out where the Overwatch lore fits but I think I see them fitting in with my GI Joe stuff. I could see Talon as an offshoot of Cobra. Hmmmm...the Kobra cult should be an offshoot, too...

Anyway, the listing:

Fer Sure:
Ana
Ashe (and Bob)
Doomfist
Genji
Hanzo
Junkrat
McCree
Mei
Reaper
Reinhardt
Roadhog
Soldier: 76
Sombra
Tracer
Widowmaker
Winston

Probably:
Bastion
Brigitte
D.Va
Mercy
Torbjorn
Wrecking Ball
Zarya
Zenyatta

Doubt it:
Lucio
Moira
Orisa
Pharah
Symmetra

Thirty years ago, the Omnics declared war. The nations of the world had no answer, until they called upon a small group of heroes. Overwatch was created to rescue humanity from the Omnic Crisis. We became the greatest champions of peace and progress mankind has ever seen! You were chosen because you had powers and abilities that made you— You joined because you... You already know this...

Look, the people decided they were better off without us. They even called us criminals! They tore our family apart. But look around! Someone has to do something! We have to do something! We can make a difference again. The world needs us now, more than ever! Are you with me? - Winston

Build Comments: So we’re starting off this short initial Overwatch run with one of my favorite characters so far, Winston. How can you not love yet another super smart talking ape? I really only built him so I can have him (with help, of course) go up against Grodd. It’s just too perfect. Talk about a Rumble in the Jungle!

Although...Winston’s probably never even been in a jungle…I’m stereotyping…shame on me. And I consider myself woke! ;)

Secret Origins/The Story so Far: A super-intelligent, genetically engineered gorilla, Winston is a brilliant scientist and a champion for humanity's potential.

The Horizon Lunar Colony was established as a first step for humanity's renewed exploration of space. Among its residents was a group of genetically enhanced gorillas that were intended to test the effects of prolonged habitation in space.

One gorilla displayed such rapid brain development from the gene therapy that he was taken under the wing of Dr. Harold Winston, who taught him science and inspired him with tales of human ingenuity. The young gorilla passed his days assisting with the scientists' experiments, watching the distant blue world outside his habitat window, dreaming of the endless possibilities that awaited him there.

But his life was thrown into chaos when the other gorillas led an uprising, killed the mission scientists, and claimed the colony for their own. Taking on the name of his beloved human caretaker, Winston built a makeshift rocket and escaped to Earth. There he found a new home with Overwatch, an organization that represented everything he had come to admire about humanity. Winston was finally able to live up to the heroic ideal that had been instilled in him.

Now with the fall of Overwatch, Winston has gone into seclusion, once again cut off from the world he believes in, but longing for the days of heroism to return.

Characterization: Winston is an awkward yet gentle giant, never wanting to inflict unnecessary harm on innocents and often stuttering whenever someone compliments him. He is a huge fan of Overwatch and really cares about its members to the point of calling them family. He also seems to have a love for peanut butter and bananas.

Winston is rather smart when it comes to craftsmanship, as proven by his ability to create the chronal accelerator. He is even considered an intelligent scientist as well, and he hates being called a monkey.

Well, this is very unexpected, but I'd like to see where you're going with these builds.

The way I handle the Cobra/Kobra thing in a merged setting (which you're free to steal) was inspired by the Young Justice episode where Kobra appears and beats the tar out of Robin with both hands behind his back. Watching that, I got a very "Serpentor" vibe from Kobra, and that's when it clicked.

My idea combines several elements of the cartoons and comics, as well as a bit of Lovecraft lore. Basically I take the idea of Cobra-La and combine it with the Serpent Men of Valusia from R.E. Howard's Conan that got mixed in with the Lovecraft Mythos. They were an advanced race that discovered bio-technology similar to the Mi-Go, but were eventually forced into a secret retreat for various reasons. Over time, they sent out infiltrators into human society, influencing things such as the worship of snakes in Stygia. Once such infiltrator formed the Kobra cult that awaited the return of some promised one that would lead the Serpent Men back to dominance.

The man who would eventually become Cobra Commander was searching for backers for his army, and one Serpent Man infiltrator decided to do so, using their own influence on the world to do so. The Commander unified all of the various Serpent Man cults into one organization, with Kobra basically becoming the "mystical" wing of Cobra. Unfortunately for the Commander, Jeffrey Burr was has been raised by the cult to believe himself a god, the chosen of the Naga Naga who will restore the Serpent race to power. The Kobra Cult believe that Jeffrey to be the true inheritor of the Serpent Man legacy, and that Cobra Commander is essentially creating an organization for Burr to take over.

Eventually Cobra makes its debut, and eventually Dr. Mindbender is influenced by the Serpent Men, given knowledge of Mi-Go genetic manipulation (making him one of the greatest genetic experts in the world) to create a genetically perfect leader. Mindbender is then directed to Burr, who he finds has a unique genetic quirk that makes gene therapy much easier. He's able to use the genetic information of several human conquerors (as well as some Serpent Man DNA) to turn Burr into Serpentor. As Serpentor, Burr essentially has the physical abilities and soldier skills of Captain America, the cunning and martial skill of Batman, the charisma, leadership and tactical skills of both, and absolutely none of their morality. He's also got even more of a god complex.

Sepentor eventually makes his presence known, and while he briefly takes over Cobra, a civil war eventually breaks out that splinters Cobra. Cobra Commander, Destro, the Baroness remain with Cobra, deciding to focus on traditional military and scientific development (as the Commander later states "Magic is nothing but trouble"). Serpentor takes Mindbender and a few others to form the Serpent Society, focusing on more "Cthulhu Cult" style means of taking over the world, via mysticism, infiltrating positions of power, but also genetic modification. They have several superpowered underlings (ie, the Marvel Comics Serpent Society), as well as doing things akin to the Young Justice series where they create super-soldier serums and the like.

Incidentally, I have VENOM be an offshoot of Cobra's attempts to weaponized Cybertronian technology. They secretly contracted a tech company to do their work, with Miles Mayhem being a Cobra agent to ensure the work went the way they wanted. the work had developed into a practical stage when the aforementioned Civil War broke out. Mayhem made his move, also splintering from Cobra (similar to how AIM split from Hydra), killing most of the other scientists and outfiting his own personal army with his pseudo-Cybertronian tech and the helmets needed to control them properly. Unfortunately for Mayhem, one of the scientists survived. Renaming himself Matt Tracker, said scientist then formed MASK specifically to deal with VENOM, as well as other menaces.

Fitting Overwatch in here, I'd guess that Overwatch would be formed as a United Nations peacekeeping force, perhaps in the wake of some attack by Ultron or a similar evil AI (perhaps even some AI alliance involving Ultron, Amazo, the Super-Adaptoid, Mr. Atom, etc.). While G.I. Joe is primarily focused on defending American interests and SHIELD is more about superspy stuff, Overwatch would be a UN sanctioned team designed to overtly deal with threats to the world, and specifically pattern itself after superheroes to maintain good PR. One primary purpose of Overwatch would be to monitor and deal with dangerous advanced technology. Unfortunately, doing so frequently meant storing said technology somewhere for analysis, which turned Overwatch into a target.

Talon was formed by several interested parties who want to sink their, well, talons into that advanced tech. They created the scandal and circumstances which brought Overwatch down, nabbed as much technology for themselves, and have only grown since. Whereas AIM is a group of scientists developing their own technology and selling it to the highest bidder, Talon is more a group of soldiers and scavengers that steal the best technology for themselves to increase their personal power. And while Hydra, Cobra and the Serpent Society all want to take over the world, Talon is more of a group of anarchists that want to destabilize the world to create endless war, because they believe wartime is when the most powerful rise to the top and the most technological innovations occur. Overwatch then reforms privately to clear their name, take down Talon and protect the world.

Haha, I remember the “raging hate boner” comment! It was that guy who was always begging for piles of requests, and he got huffy when I ripped the genre.

But no, I’m with you there, Thorpe. I can shoot okay, but I have a terrrrrrrrible sense of direction in these games, and it hampers me dreadfully.

The only thing making me want to do OW builds was the incredible character designs.

I too have an erection of the loathsome sort for FPS games. Especially the modern Gunner ones, the only exception is Golden Eye. And Portal, but that's more a puzzle game cosplaying as an FPS.
