Spectacled Caiman is, of course, "weird shit". Though fits kind of a "Hank McCoy" kind of vibe (same general "tiers" of power, too). I find it fascinating that a non-remembered child could result in Neil dropping the character entirely.

Spitfire seems pretty cool. Very "80s" costume- was that drawn off of a template? The leg and arm anatomy seems remarkably good, while the face is much weaker.

Meagerie is, yeah, a Vixen-type character. Though I like the "raised by others" origin- so they were Voodoo Bad Guys?

Guilty as charged. I think my super hero fashion sense stalled out around the time of the Gulf War. And yeah, most of the character pictures that I do are done either with templates or swipes. The few exceptions are these four that I did decades ago, back when the RC Universe was tiny.

And the one I haven't posted yet... Image

There have been a number of better artists than me in the group over the years, but a lot more who are worse. I think of myself as "barely adequate" and the templates and swipes make doing the art faster, and probably better.

Well, Momma Boulet still is. I don't think Poppa Boulet was really into Voodoo himself. He just benefited from his wife. Of course, he may return as a zombie or something someday. That will be Jim's call.

Lumen has an interesting power-set. I kept expecting water-based powers given his origin, but Electricity is a lot more variable. Distinctive costume- you don't see a lot of pink, especially on males.

Yeah- I see a lot of "hero maker" programs out there for similar reasons. Tracing is probably the easiest overall way, especially with complicated designs.

Background François "Frank" Drébin's father had married into wealth. When Frank was born he was named after an uncle who had gone "missing" in Las Vegas back in the 1960s. Frank became the head of Drébin Industries. When he got his hands on several cecedetanite power crystals, which somehow resembled other types of crystals, he had them put into a weapon gauntlet and a power belt. You'll have to ask Jim where those came from. He became Diamant, and he founded and funded Force d'Orleans.

When Drébin Industries bought out Technological Innovations Now, he relocated to Chatanooga, TN to oversee the branch office being constructed there. Drébin Industries still funds Force d'Orleans, but Diamant and Fantasia are no longer actively with the team, as they're operating out of Chatanooga. In recent months, his equipment has been improved. The "Diamond Force Field" now has been isolated, so he can keep ot on without klosing one of his belt slots.

Real World Stuff I don't have any. Eric G. is Jim's friend; for me he's a long-time acquaintance. I wasn't around for most of the church group game sessions. Eric, and Jim's sister Katie were the last of that group to hold out and keep playing.

Man Out of Time: Due to being stuck in suspended animation, Frank is unaccustomed to the ways of present day. He lives by a different code with different values.
Relationships: Frank misses his old life, family and friends. As such, he holds on to whatever pieces of the past he can manage to find.
Vulnerability: Because of his absorption powers, Stalwart has a nasty time of it when exposed to hard radiation. If he is hit with hard radiation attacks, they get +3 to the effect.

Background Frank Drebbin was an honest cop in Las Vegas in the 1960s. He was also the super hero Stalwart. He's never shared how he gained his powers, although it is believed radiation was involved. It is known that eventually, an enemy, Dr. Atomic, found a wavelength of radiation that trapped Stalwart, motionless, in his transformed state. And, to add insult he then had a plaster fake statue put around him. He spent decades, trapped in plain sight, a cheesy decoration in a Las Vegas hotel. But then the Aces fought the Sun Lords, and the Aces were being overwhelmed when the Champions of Justice intervened. And, during the course of the battle, the plaster statue was damaged. And upon exposure to air again, Stalwart awakened, a man out of time.

He discovered that his brother had married a rich French woman and "Frenchified" the family name. He discovered that his nephew, who had been named for him, was also a super hero.

He joined the Aces, and served well with them for a time. But then they broke up. He had been approached by PSB Strike Force to head up the Nevada region field team, and their super-powered consultants. But then he fell into a trap lain by one of Dr. Atomic's progeny, and exposed to the same radiation again. Today, he is once again trapped, in suspended animation, essentially as a brass statue. He "resides" at the Radio Ranch in Wisconsin where Doctor Radio tries to find a way to again restore his former colleague.

Real World Stuff Jason combined the basic "Absorbing Man" concept with the man out of time idea to create Stalwart. I really liked the character. There was a time, briefly, when after the Aces broke up that Stalwart might relocate to New Orleans to be with family, but that didn't happen. And then Jim was starting up Nevada Consultants and he wanted Stalwart to be the field leader. And that's about the time Jason got out of playing super heroes. So, he was written out. And basically, a cure will be found the moment Jason comes back.

The whole Diamant and Stalwart are related happened because both Eric G. and Jason named their heroes after Leslie Nielsen's Police Squad/Naked Gun detective Frank Drebin. And because of my belief in the Bridwell-Rozakis Theory of Relativity.

Seeing as you asked...

A new set of crystals had been developed by MahnTech to replace the ones being used by the Rainbow Warriors (back when he was and unscrupulous scumbag millionaire who aided his cronies while serving in the White House as President.... sometimes reality imitates fiction 'cause we did it first). The problem was that the plane that was intended to transport them out of the MahnTech offices in Louisiana had engine trouble shortly after liftoff and exploded. While it was unclear how the accident occurred, the crystals were lost in the Louisiana bayou. Before Mahn's men could find them, though, Diamant's people recovered a few of them and turned them over to their boss, who realized their capabilities and, using his own technologies, created the gauntlet and, eventually, belt. He also put his people on finding out if there were any more, which expanded his collection to where it is now.

It was during one of these searches that the Rainbow Warriors came looking as well and a battle ensued. During said battle, an innocent teen was exposed to the energies of one of the crystals exploding, turning him into Black Volt (who I'm sure Ken will now post).

I almost didn't just to spite you ;) Black Volt was a charter member of Force d'Orleans, but eventually he decided he needed more training, so he signed on at the School for Parahumans in Wisconsin that has been nicknamed 'The Radio Ranch'.

Real World Stuff Black Volt was the creation of Eric G.'s son, who was, I don't know, 12 maybe(?) when Jim started his New Orleans game. Courtesey of his dad's involvment he stayed in the campaign longer than a lot of people. But then Andrew became old enough that hanging out with his dad and his dad's friends stopped being cool, and he discovered girls.

I believe that Frank designed them and his people built them according to his specs, then rebuilt them and a storage box out of Krytanium when it was discovered that the Rainbow Warriors had a way to track the crystals. You know, kinda the way Bruce Wayne requisitioned Wayne Enterprises technology, and suddenly Batman was using it, and only Lucius put two and two together. :D

Agh, so many new builds in one day!

DIAMANT: I like the "different power for each color" thing- very "Silver Age". Also reminds me of DC's Halo. "Pile O' Alt-Effects" characters are always my favorites. The "Bad Smells" Complication is pretty funny. And... Rainbow Warriors?

STALWART: Okay, getting a pretty "Standard Strong Guy" vibe from his statline, but then reading the powers makes it pretty clear- ABSORBING MAN powers! My favorite set to screw around with! His story's a pretty sad one, actually (though humorously lacking in origin :)).

Tony Dracon, Fox, and Wolf - three builds.

Well yours are all original characters who require me actually reading their origins, full bios, powers, etc., then responding. Much more work than reading up a character I've already heard of, with a power-set I could guess in my sleep :). Hell, I don't think I even CHECK the Powers most people write down for established characters any longer!

It's probably easier since you've already got these builds written down, of course. Heaven knows, even *I* take forever to state up an OC.

I wasn't a prophet. We'd just come through 8 years of Evil in the White House (in the real world) when Mahn was elected.

Trump's a sweetheart compared to Mahn.
