Complications
- Enemies: Because of her heritage and the knowledge she has gained over the years, Rachel is the target of many supernatural forces who wish to use her for their own dark purposes.
- Inheritor: Raven is technically the apprentice to the Master Mage known as Doctor Fate. However, due to her demonic heritage she'll never be allowed to wear the Helmet of Fate, and thus she'll be unable to acquire the title of Master Mage if she continues to follow in her current Master's footsteps.
- Motivation: Acceptance: Rachel wants to be accepted for who she is, not feared for what her father could unleash upon the world by using her to access it.

Hiems Appropinquat Brainstorm & Notes

Hiems Appropinquat
Premise: During the 10th century CE, a man appeared in a small and isolated Hollow. The locals never needed to fear attack while this man lived with them, due to his immense strength and magical might. Now, centuries later, young Harry Potter is set to awaken a legacy of frost and ice the likes of which Midgard hasn’t seen in many centuries!
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must be descended from a Frost Giant on his father’s side of the family.
- Harry’s Jotunn ancestry must reactivate due to a confluence of events, transforming him into a Jotunn/Wizard Hybrid being, which allows him to shift between human and gigant proportions.
- Harry and Loki are not, I repeat are NOT, related to one another. They can be kinsmen, as they are both Jötnar, but they are not part of the same immediate family.
- Sticking too closely to Marvel’s canonical universe is ill-advised. It would be best if the author molds the world around Harry so that it is a mixture of the two universes instead of one setting.
- Harry must deal with his own supervillain, similar to how each of the MCU heroes has their own movie. It might even be advisable if he has to deal with multiple villains / story arcs.
- This fic must take place after Harry has dealt with Voldemort, so any villains he deals with will need to be drawn from Voldemort’s followers, or else be (Semi-)Original Characters.
- All romantic pairings are permissible for this fic.
Preferred Inclusions:
- The Deathly Hallows should have come from above the Asgardians and other deities. Specifically, they should come from Thanos’ girlfriend, the Cosmic Entity known as Death.
- Harry should get involved with Asgard, mainly because they would want to keep an eye on him and because he’ll need answers as to what it is he can accomplish with his new powers.
- In addition to his powers as a Jotun, Harry should be a highly accomplished Charms Master and skilled in the practice of Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry’s romantic pairing should include one or more of the following: Amora, Darcy Lewis, Jennifer Walters, Gabrielle Delacour, Daphne or Astoria Greengrass, Susan Bones.
- It has been suggested that Harry ‘replace’ Laufey as the King of Jotunheim.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry acting as a sidekick to one of the other heroes in the MCU.
- Harry continuing to use a wand after awakening his Jotunn heritage.

- Cultural Awkwardness: Astoria has only a limited amount of exposure to the muggle world, and would be prone to making horribly awkward mistakes that could even include wearing the wrong sort of clothing for important social functions.

Build Comments: If I were to build the Odinsleep power, then it would be built as a rank 5 Communication power with the Cosmic, Area, Dimensional 3, Perception: All Senses and Subtle 2 extras, as well as the Limited 2: to Perception, Side Effect 2: Odin's Physical Body is immobile and defenseless and Uncontrolled flaws. Unfortunately, it can't really be built like this, as Odin is capable of using Perception Range effects using the Odinsleep ability, and yet the Communication power's Perception extra doesn't allow for such to occur.

An Unexpected Situation Brainstorm & Notes

An Unexpected Situation
Premise: After a magical accident somehow forced her into her Animagus form, Elsa Potter finds herself captured by a wizard and sold to Eeylops Owl Emporium, where she is soon purchased by Rubeus Hagrid as a gift for a young boy by the name of Harry Potter… “Well, that can’t be good.”
Required Inclusions:
- Elsa must be capable of reverting to her original human form whenever she wants to, but was unable to do so until Harry released her from ‘her cage’ due to an unfortunate lack of space.
- Elsa must be an ice elemental, while Harry will actually be a wind/air elemental.
- Elsa must be at least twenty years old when she is forced into her Animagus form and shunted into a nearly identical parallel universe.
- Elsa must become Harry’s new guardian in both muggle and wizarding society due to the fact that they both share the same kinship with Lily, allowing her to support the “Blood Wards.”
- Elsa must procure a proper owl for Harry after she resumes her original human form, so that he can actually communicate with his friends and loved ones while at Hogwarts.
- Elsa must retain her vivid green eyes even while in her Animagus form, as those will be the unusual characteristic that identifies her as an Animagus.
- Elsa must at least attempt to keep her Animagus form a secret, like any good Marauder would.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Elsa should be recognized as the new Lady Black after her arrival due to having been said Matriarch in her original time, and having arrived before Sirius could become Lord Black.
- This fic should involve a WCWL scenario, with living Potters who have been mentally subverted in a way that causes them to ignore Harry.
- Elsa should become romantically involved with either Nymphadora Tonks, a younger Bellatrix Black (who was never a Death Eater), and/or Fleur Delacour (despite the six year age gap).
Optional Inclusions:
- If Elsa becomes Lady Black, and they possess Wizengamot seats, then she should ask for a record of past votes and recast any votes that go against what the family truly stands for.
- It is suggested that Elsa claim control of the House of Potter as well (see above for why).

Complications
- Enemies: Elsa has effectively made herself an enemy to both Albus Dumbledore and the dark wizard known as Voldemort by performing major alterations to how the pieces are arranged in their nationwide game of Chess.
- Motivation: Protector: Elsa is highly motivated to use her powers in defense of innocent lives. She'll gladly put herself at risk to defend those who are incapable of defending themselves as well as to protect those she cares about.
- Nemesis: Elsa became the Head of the House of Black in her new reality on the day that the previous Head of Housed died, simply by virtue of the fact that she had already held that title in her previous reality. This unfortunately caused some friction between her and Cygnus Black, as the man truly believed he would be the new Lord Black when old Arcturus passed away; this is in spite of the fact that Cassiopeia Black technically outranked them both in the lines of succession and would have inherited the title of Lady Black if not for the aforementioned causal snarl.
- Power Loss: Elsa hasn't been able to communicate with snakes since the night on which she got hit with the Killing Curse for the second time in her life.
- Secret: Elsa is actually the Girl Who Lived from an adjacent dimension, meaning that she is actually a differently gendered counterpart to the young man she is now responsible for.
- Significant Other: Elsa has effectively become young Harry Potter's new mother by performing all of the legal rigmarole that was required of her in order to become his new muggle and magical guardian. This was possible in spite of the fact that his birth parents are both still alive because she was able to prove that they had been neglecting their actual heir in order to favor of his twin sister, the so-called Girl Who Lived.
- Woman From Out of Time: Elsa is from another time and place, and will sometimes say or do something that doesn't quite make sense in her present surroundings.
