We Are The Brave Brainstorm & Notes

We Are the Brave
Premise: “We! Are! The! Brave!! There is an enemy, dressed as a friend. The picture of deceit, who knows the end… We are standing here unafraid, in the lion’s den, cause the power strong enough to save is running through our veins… We are the brave!! We’ll never break!! Whatever it takes, we’re gonna make it together!!”
Required Inclusions:
- Must occur in a version of the Bruce Timm DCAU universe and Young Justice that has been crossed with the Harry Potter universe.
- Harry Potter must be summoned to help defeat the White Martians by Martian Manhunter.
- Harry must become a founding member of the Justice League.
- Harry must end up in a romantic relationship with at least one of the following ladies: Wonder Woman, Black Canary or Hawkgirl.
- Harry must adopt a 10 year old Raven a minimum of 5 years before the Young Justice timeline.
- Raven must at some point join the Young Justice Team.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry having had a valid reason to cut ties with magical Britain, explaining why he has either left Great Britain, or else why he has jumped dimensions.
- Harry apprenticing under Kent Nelson, who passes away before the founding of the JLA.
- Harry remaining an ally of the League, but opting to not remain a continual member thereof.
- Harry must be reluctant to allow Raven to join the Young Justice Team, but eventually lets her.
- Harry either being immune to, or having a degree of resistance against, Starro Tech.
Optional Inclusions:
- The fic doesn’t actually crossover with Potterverse, but actually involves a Harry who has wound up traveling to the DCAU/Young Justice Universe from his world somehow.
- If Harry did apprentice under Kent Nelson, then Kent probably chose him to be the next Doctor Fate. If this is the case, then Harry must work out a deal with Nabu so as to avoid being completely subsumed by the helmet.
- Harry and Batman possessing a slightly antagonistic relationship.
- Despite cutting ties with Magical Britain, Harry’s relationship with the Veela and other magical communities is possibly still quite good, assuming it is a shared world.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry being involved in a romantic relationship with another male character.

Complications
- Fame: Within Wizarding Britain, and also the wider Wizarding Community, Harry is famous both as the only person known to have survived the Killing Curse multiple times, and as the person who ultimately brought about the end of the Dark Lord Voldemort's reign of terror.
- Holding Back: Harry has made a bargain with Nabu that allows him to retain full control of his own mind while using the helmet up to a point. In the event that Harry finds a situation turning against him and his allies, such as in the event that over half of the team he is on has been incapacitated, he can spend a Hero Point and then make a DC 22 Will Check with a +5 Circumstance bonus in order to allow Nabu to take full control of his body and the helmet. If that happens, then the "Nabu (Harry Potter)" stat block is to be used in lieu of the "Doctor Fate (Harry Potter)" stat block until the end of the scene in which the Holding Back advantage was initially invoked.
- Honor: Harry adheres to a strict code of honor. He always keeps his given word.
- Motivation: Responsibility: During Harry's time at Hogwarts, he heard a great many bits of inspirational wisdom from Albus Dumbledore, and while the man had many faults the one thing he did say that Harry keeps in mind even to this day was: "there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right."
- Responsibility: As Doctor Fate, Harry is the planet's foremost mystical protector and the one who is tasked with defending it from being encroached upon by supernatural threats such as the Lords of Chaos, malevolent deities such as Ares and Trigon, as well as various other problems.
- Restricted Power: The Helm decides who is and isn’t worthy to wear it. Those deemed unworthy suffer either a lethal Continuous Mental Blast 20 or Continuous Affliction 20 (Resisted by Will; Dazed, Stunned, Transformed) that leaves the unfortunate target in a permanent vegetative state. Fortunately, Harry has been deemed worthy to wear the Helm.

Reputation
- Doctor Fate (+13): Harry Potter is widely known as Doctor Fate these days, and very few people would recognize him without the helmet on. Those who would recognize him without it, are largely from either his family, or else from a xenophobic community that Harry has all but left behind.

Complications
- Host: Harry's powers as Doctor Fate exist because he wears the Helmet of Fate. Implicit in that is that he is acting as the Host to Nabu's consciousness. When he taps the full powers of Nabu, said cosmic force temporarily overrides Harry's consciousness to the point that it is actually Nabu who is in control of his body and not Harry. Harry will therefore have no recollection of anything Nabu might or might not do while this is occuring, and those Harry holds dear might not be the same as who Nabu considers priorities for protecting.

- Big Fluffy Wings: Shayera has rather large and hard to hide wings. These make it difficult for her to blend in among the normal citizens of Earth the way that her fellow Justice League members are capable of doing, and tends to cause her numerous complications by virtue of the fact that she has no civilian persona.
- Honor: Shayera lives by a rather stereotypical code of honor followed by many warrior civilizations in the universe.
- Motivation: Patriotism: Shayera came to Earth from Thanagar to carry out the mission of determining what weaknesses the Gordanians would be able to exploit in Earth's defenses should they choose to attack the planet. She is entirely unaware that her reconnaissance will be used by Thanagar to execute it's own attack against the planet that she has come consider to be a second home.
- Phobia: Shayera's greatest fear is being trapped in a coffin and buried alive, after having her wings restrained.
- Relationship: Shayera is currently engaged to marry her fellow Thanagarian, Hro Talak. She is also a founding member of the Justice League, and good friends with many of her fellow founding members.
- Stalker With A Crush: Shayera may or may not be the reincarnation of Chay-Ara Hol, just like Carter Hall (born Joseph Gardner) may or may not be the reincarnation of Katar Hol, the husband of Chay-Ara. What is clear, is that Carter Hall believes that they are said reincarnations, and will go to great lengths in order to convince Shayera to believe the same.
- Temper: Common things that you might hear Shayera say include: "Less talking, more hitting!" or "Excuse me, Hawkgirl Smash!" and various other things of the sort. It is clear she has a temper.

- Enemies: Certain aquatic species tend to react very negatively to being exposed to a Veela's allure. This can lead to all manner of problems for a Veela if they desire to go for a swim.
- Motivation: Recognition: Gabrielle wants to be recognized by Harry as a viable mate, and is quite upset that he has seemingly vanished off the face of the Earth without telling anyone, even his best friend, Hermione Granger. Fortunately it won't take her very long to figure out who he did tell and drag it out of the older boy with his new wife's help.
- Mythic Weakness: Veela are actually a type of Fey, and are therefore vulnerable to iron. Such objects inflict a Rank 5 Fortitude resisted Affliction that has a 1st Degree of Dazed, a 2nd Degree of Stunned and a 3rd Degree of Incapacitated when used against a Veela. This is in addition to anything else the iron in question might otherwise be capable of doing to them.
- Power Loss: Veela lose the ability to enter their Battle Form and project their Allure if they are in physical contact with something made from iron.
- Relationship: Gabrielle is the younger daughter of Jacques and Apolline Delacour. Her sister's name is Fleur Weasley, née Delacour, and the two are close enough that one could have said they were inseparable up until Fleur got married. She is also the doting Auntie to little Victoire Weasley.

The Internet Is for Sekirei
Premise: “The internet is really really great (for Sekirei!) I got a fast connection so I don’t have to wait (for Sekirei!) There’s always some new site (for Sekirei!) I browse all day and night (for Sekirei!) It’s like I’m browsing at the speed of light (for Sekirei!)... MATSU!!!”
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must, either before Hogwarts or during the summer between Hogwarts years, gain access to a computer and the internet.
- With said access, Harry must meet and become friends with Sekirei No. 02: Matsu.
- Due to danger, injury or panic, Harry must accidentally Apparate to Matsu’s location.
- Matsu must react to Harry when they finally meet, and become Winged by him.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry winging other Sekirei, all girls, including at least one of the following: Yashima, Kaho and/or Kuno. However, Matsu must remain his Alpha Sekirei.
- Harry having already encountered Dementors by the time he arrives in Maison Izumo, and being utterly unaffected by Miya’s illusion, as it just isn’t as scary.

Complications
- Enemies: Between Voldemort trying to kill him due to a prophecy, and Dolores Umbridge's attempts to kill him due to the threat he poses to her precious "Fudgie-wudgie' Harry has no shortage of potential enemies to contend with.
- Honor: Harry adheres to a strict code of honor. One of the various things that code of honor calls for him to do is to always keeps his given word.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Harry will often go out of his way in order to save the life of some hapless damsel in distress. This also often leads him and those who he calls his friends, into rather harrowing situations.
- Night Terrors: Harry will occasionally be sent terrible visions of foul acts and deeds being performed by the Dark Lord Voldemort while he is trying to sleep. These will invariably disrupt not just Harry's sleep, but that of his bonded Sekirei as well, leading to one glorious mess as both Harry and those Sekirei commiserate over the fact that due to the Sekirei Plan there is very little any of them can really do to stop Voldemort for the time being.
- Power Loss: In addition to needing his wand for just about all of his spell effects, Harry also needs to have his hands free and his mouth unbound in order to perform those spells. Unless those conditions are met, he is basically powerless to defend himself.
- Relationships: Harry has spent several summers now actively communicating with Sekirei No. 02: Matsu over various Internet Chatrooms, and the two developed a strong bond of friendship long before he made a cross-continental apparition jump straight into her presence and promptly got kissed by the girl. He also cherishes his friendships with various other people, particularly Hermione Granger whom he views as the sister he never had, the Weasley family, and the two faithful Marauders.

- Wanted: Matsu stole something of incredible value to MBI, and now they want it back no matter the cost. As such, she would immediately be targeted by the Discipline Squad if she were to show her face in public.

Reputation
- The Covert Pervert (+8): Few are even actually aware that Matsu exists, beyond the fact that the 2nd Sekirei must obviously exist. Few have ever actually seen her and almost no one knows where she is currently residing. Many people would be quite horrified to learn she can hack just about any piece of technology she wants to, just like how Minaka is known to hack televisions to deliver his speeches, including the alarm clock next to the bed you might be snuggling with your Sekirei in.

Build Comments: I'm not going to bother listing the complication regarding a Sekirei's crest being a specific weak spot for them, as it isn't the most efficient method for dealing a deciding blow to an enemy Sekirei, and as such isn't something I plan on using all to often in my scenario. Especially as it involves stripping the Sekirei of his or her clothing to be useful for anything.

The Unhexed Chronicles Brainstorm & Notes

The Unhexed Chronicles
Premise: He has seen war, and the rise and fall of both heroes and villains. He has faced off against monsters and dark lords. He has fought side by side with some of the greatest of legends. He has done many things, and all because he has been granted a key that allows him to unlock any door!
Required Inclusions:
- All alignments and pairings are welcome.
- Harry has become effectively immortal due to the fact that the Hallows mean he must die from natural causes, and the basilisk venom/phoenix tear combo makes it so he ages very slowly.
- Harry has been granted the honor of possessing a Keyblade, and the first jump he makes with it is to the First Wizarding War era. When he arrives, he is to be picked up by the DoM.
- Harry must not hide the fact that he is a time traveler, but will likely agree to take a new identity so as to prevent complications. His last name must be Peverell, but his first name is optional.
- Harry and Dumbledore must have at least one tense conversation about Dumbledore’s innaction during the rise to power of not just one, but two Dark Lords.
- Multiple crossovers (yes, this is required), but they should take the form of Volumes to the story, rather than all occurring simultaneously.
- Harry finding at least one other person who is long-lived like him from another fandom, and they become his pairing. Examples include Supergirl, Wonder Woman, the Al-Ghul's, etc… but of course those examples presume a DC comics crossover, rather than a Disney one.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry being particularly strong. It has been suggested he be sort of the opposite to Vanitas in terms of what powers he might possess (hence the title being “The Unhexed Chronicles”).
- There being a Princess of Heart that Harry needs to find in the “First Volume.”
- Obviously this is a crossover with Kingdom Hearts, and likewise with Disney.
- In addition to the aforementioned long-lived individual(s), Harry also being paired with at least a couple Princesses of Heart.
Optional Inclusions:
- The order of the volumes is entirely up to the author.
- Harry picking fights with intransigent organizations (such as the Watcher’s Council or the Jedi Order) as often as he shows up in new universes.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry not being all but immortal.
- Someone else from HP achieving immortality the same way as Harry.
- Harry staying in the Wizarding World permanently.
- The use of asinine nicknames for characters by well-educated characters is strictly forbidden.
- Bashing for the simplistic sake of bashing.
- Harry the Emo Doormat.
- Harry being paired with a male character.
- Harry being paired with Lily Evans.

Complications
- Hatred: Narcissa can't stand the man who her Aunt Walburga is championing for her to marry, and more importantly knows that this man is being courted by someone whose very existence is a danger to her future.
- Hunted: Heartless tend to be drawn to Princesses of Heart almost as swiftly as they are to the Bearers of the Keyblade. It is therefore something of a miracle that Cissa has managed to go undetected for as long as she has.
- Motivation: Doing Good: As a Princess of Heart, Narcissa is tasked with protecting the Heart of the World that she was born in, which means she is in all actuality the only person in that world who truly knows where the Heart actually resides.
- Power Loss: Narcissa needs her hands free and her wand at hand in order to cast her spells. She also needs to be able to speak the incantations.

The Oncoming Storm Brainstorm & Notes

The Oncoming Storm
Premise: When they decided to return to the past so as to take over the Wizarding World, they didn’t quite expect what awaited them; but then the world that awaited them didn’t quite anticipate their arrival either.
Required Inclusions:
- Harry, his wife and his most loyal follower aren’t evil per se. Rather they were labeled as such because they wanted to stop the stagnation within the Wizarding World. Things sort of snowballed from there and the trio decided to say “Screw it! Let’s conquer the lot of them.”
- As part of the butterfly effect caused by the simple act of traveling backwards in time, Lily and/or James are alive. They also must not be neglectful or abusive of Harry.
- There must be instances where the plotting of the trio is happened upon Lily and the Marauders and they misinterpret that plotting as simple children’s games.
- Lily and/or James must eventually realize the trio’s plans aren’t children’s games and be convinced by the trio that their plans really are for the best.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry possessing a sibling, and either Harry or his sibling having been kidnapped and raised by someone other than the Potter family.
- Lily and/or James chancing upon the trio making their plans and ignoring it as a game when Harry is between 6 to 9 years old.
Optional Inclusions:
- The family of one of the girls (yes, both of the other two members of the trio are to be girls) is an enemy of the Potters. As an example, Fem!Draco has been suggested.
- Harry’s aforementioned sister having a massive brother complex.
Forbidden Things:
- Lily and/or James betraying the trio.
- Harry being paired with another male.
- Harry the Emo Doormat.

Complications
- Enemies: The Dark Lord Voldemort wants Harry and his mother to die, die, die! This also means that the Dark Lord's followers generally desire the same thing. This is a potential problem due to the fact that one of Harry's strongest allies is the daughter of one such a follower, and his younger sister was kidnapped by another of those followers.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Harry and his two closest allies wish desperately to bring about the change necessary to allow the magical world to move past all the bigotry and backwards thinking. They are willing to do just about anything short of the sorts of tactics the Death Eaters employ in order to make that happen.
- Relationships: Harry is the elder twin brother to Dahlia Potter, a girl who was kidnapped from the Potter residence during the short window of opportunity created in the aftermath of Voldemort's attack while their mother, Lily Potter, was recovering from exposure to the Cruciatus Curse and the arrival of their godfather, Sirius Black. Their father, James Potter, sacrificed his life while standing between the siblings and the Dark Lord.
- Secret: Harry hasn't registered as an Animagus yet, and thus has to keep that particular ability a closely guarded secret.
- Wandless Magic: Harry is capable of casting all of his spells without a wand, however their Effect Ranks are all cut in half (round down) when he attempts to do such a thing.

Reputation
- The Boy Who Lived (+13): Harry is possibly the most famous member of the magical community under the age of twenty, all on account of the fact that he survived a curse that is otherwise unsurvivable.

Complications
- Disability & Power Loss: While in his Animagus form Harry has no hands and can't speak the way a human would. Therefore he is unable to make use of his Magical Aptitude and Parselmagic arrays while in that form. He is also much too large to hide beneath the Cloak of Invisibility in that form as well.
- Enemies: The Dark Lord Voldemort wants Harry and his mother to die, die, die! This also means that the Dark Lord's followers generally desire the same thing. This is a potential problem due to the fact that one of Harry's strongest allies is the daughter of one such a follower, and his younger sister was kidnapped by another of those followers.
Erumpent Magnet: Harry's animagus form is that of a male Erumpent. A curious fact about male Erumpents is that they produce a musk to aid in the task of attracting the females of the species. This can naturally have rather disastrous consequences due to the particular quirks of an Erumpent's physiology.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Harry and his two closest allies wish desperately to bring about the change necessary to allow the magical world to move past all the bigotry and backwards thinking. They are willing to do just about anything short of the sorts of tactics the Death Eaters employ in order to make that happen.
- Relationships: Harry is the elder twin brother to Dahlia Potter, a girl who was kidnapped from the Potter residence during the short window of opportunity created in the aftermath of Voldemort's attack while their mother, Lily Potter, was recovering from exposure to the Cruciatus Curse and the arrival of their godfather, Sirius Black. Their father, James Potter, sacrificed his life while standing between the siblings and the Dark Lord.
- Secret: Harry hasn't registered as an Animagus yet, and thus has to keep that particular ability a closely guarded secret.

Premise: “Left for dead, I will rise up on my own, I could make it alone, I’ve got all that I need to survive. Through the sweat and the blood, I know what I’m made of, it’s the hunger that keeps me alive. This time, I’m coming like a hurricane, this time…”
Required Inclusions:
- Harry must be the descendant of a great Hero of Legend.
- In this case Harry is the descendant of Thor, God of Thunder.
- Harry must obtain one of the various weapons that Thor is known for possessing, though this doesn’t necessarily mean he needs to obtain Mjolnir.
- At some point, Harry must have an adventure that mimics Thor in some way.
- Any pairings are welcome except for ones involving Harry and another male character.
- Light or Grey Harry only.
Preferred Inclusions:
- At some point Harry meets Odin or Freyja.
- There being other hero and villains who have descendants in the modern era.
- Harry meets the soul of his ancestor.
- In addition to inheriting a weapon from Thor, Harry also inherits some or all of Thor’s powers.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry the Weak Emo Doormat.
- Harry being a Half-Blood as defined by Percy Jackson. Please note that since this is a MCU crossover that having Harry be a descendant of Thor doesn’t trigger this forbidden thing.
