Complications
- Accident: Due to the nature of her mutation, Susan is often at risk of causing things to catch on fire when she is actively in her "Flame On?" form or lobbing fireballs at things.
- Guy Magnet: Susan is one of the most attractive girls to have graduated from Hogwarts in recent years, and is often the center of attention as far as the boys in her age group are concerned.
- Honor: Susan follows a strict code of honor when it comes to fights, and even when not fighting. She obeys the rules of fair play and hospitality, and may even pick up other odd and restrictive rules to add to his code of honor as she gets older.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Susan has been inspired by the examples set forth by countless people, including but not limited to Albus Dumbledore, Augusta Longbottom, Angela Abbott, her Aunt Amelia, and yes, even Harry Potter during his time as the leader of the Hogwarts Defence Association.
- Prejudice: Susan is the target of prejudice from the mundane world on two fronts, the first being the fact that she is a Witch, the second being the fact that she is also a Mutant.
- Relationship: Susan is a childhood friend of Hannah Abbott, and has known Neville Longbottom since before Hogwarts. She is also the Godsister of Harry Potter through her mother, although she realizes that trying to act as a sister to Harry probably won't go over well at this point.

- Dark Side (Holding Back): In times of overwhelming stress, or rather, when either half her team or more has already been defeated, or else when countless innocent lives are at risk, Jean can spend a Hero Point and make a DC 20 Will Check to become the Cosmic Manifestation of all life in the universe, the Phoenix Force, and wreck face with her Phenomenal Cosmic Power. She gets a +2 Circumstance Bonus on the Will Check made to achieve this transformation.
- Motivation: Responsibility: Jean was inspired by Charles Xavier's dream for peaceful coexistence between mutants and all other aspects of the human species and is attempting to help him to achieve that goal.
- Prejudice: Jean is a member of the subspecies of humanity known as Mutantkind, and as such she is subject to a great deal of persecution and/or plain old prejudiced feelings due to the fact that she is simply better at certain things than her fellow-woman.

Complications
- Enemies: The Shi'ar Empire in particular, are among the forces aiming to eradicate The Phoenix once and for all.
- Host: Jean and the Phoenix aren't exactly the same individual, and whenever the Phoenix Entity comes out to play using Jean's body as a host, Jean's personality, but not her memories, tend to be suppressed. Jean is also not guaranteed to remember what the Phoenix Entity does with her body while it is active, and she may not have entirely approved of it's actions if she were to remember. This complication does not award Hero Points, as it is intrinsic to Jean's Holding Back advantage.
- Motivation: Cosmic Balance: The Phoenix Force has the power to cut and regrow any part of the universe, as well as to potentially destroy the universe in its entirety. It's primary purpose is to perform the "Judgement of the Phoenix" where it will burn away those things which do not work so as to allow room for those things which will work.
- Weakness: The Phoenix Force has shown susceptibility to Chaos Magic, and Dark Phoenix's Will and Toughness Defenses are Disabled against such attacks.

- Power Loss: Kaecilius does not gain any of his Dark Dimension Magic until the year 2015. the same holds true for the other Zealots of the Mystic Arts. His Strength score also decreases by 2 points when not using Dark Dimension Magic. Furthermore, prior to that point in time, he lacks these complications, instead gaining the Motivation: Responsibility and Relationship complications, both focused around the Ancient One and other Masters of Kamar-Taj.

Complications
- Brought Down to Bad Arse: Marzanna is significantly less powerful than Mistress Death herself, and can actually legitimately be killed, even if only temporarily. She is however, still a force to be reckoned with, but not an unbeatable one.
- Identification Dysfunction: Marzanna is both the name of a Slavic goddess associated with Death, and also the current Humanoid Interface for the Cosmic Entity known as Death. It was when she introduced herself to Harry as 'Death's Humanoid Interface' that she suddenly found herself trapped inside the body of Nagato Yuki of all people. She also can't quite work out how to go about reverting back to her default form either, which is probably what ticked Thanos off most of all.
- Motivation: Responsibility: As she is the Humanoid Interface for the Cosmic Entity known as Death, it is Marzanna's primary purpose to interact with those mortals who would socialize with Death, but don't want to actually die to do it.
- Relationship: Marzanna was in a romantic relationship with Thanos the Mad Titan before Harry did whatever the fuck it was that he managed to do that seemingly shut off her metamorphic abilities. Also regarding Harry, he is who has been chosen by her own selection process to be the new Humanoid Interface for the Cosmic Entity known as Death upon the start of the next multiversal cycle... or more accurately, he will be the new Cosmic Entity known as Death and will get to choose what form his Humanoid Avatar takes once the cycle starts.

Build Comments: My reasoning for why Marzanna exists in the way she does in my setting is basically the same for why Ego the Living Planet constructs human-sized avatars that can then go out and experience the world the way a human would. Cosmic Entities on the scale of even just a Celestial are going to be so absurdly broken that you can't really stat them as anything less than a Power Level 20, or greater, character, but their avatars are an entirely different matter. It is only ever these avatars that you really see interacting with people unless it is done in their own 'Realms' as it were. And even then, the Avatars themselves are at going to each be at least as strong as the Goblin and Phoenix Force inside their respective Hosts.

That's another thing, a humanoid interface like Marzanna, is NOT a host body, it is the actual entity with self-imposed power limiters and more often than not the vulnerability of flesh and blood.

Hope of Morning Brainstorm & Notes

Hope of Morning
Premise: “When the hope of morning starts to fade in me / I don't dare let darkness have its way with me / And the hope of morning makes me worth the fight / I will not be giving in tonight”
Required Inclusions:
- This story must include a female version of Harry Potter (from here on called Azalea).
- Azalea must be a clone of Jean Grey (how she ended up in the care of the Potter family, and with magic to boot, is up to the author).
- Azalea must encounter the X-Men, who are the ones to deduce that she is a clone (most likely due to her resemblance to Jean and a blood test).
- While Azalea can become an Avatar of the Phoenix Force, she isn’t to be as powerful with it as Jean herself happens to be (think of it as the difference in power between Jean and Rachel).
Important Reminders:
- Azalea will have had a different upbringing than Jean. This means that despite having been identical to Jean in terms of personality initially, and having a nearly identical appearance, not to mention nearly identical mutant powers, her upbringing will have caused her to spin both her personality and abilities in a different direction to what Jean would have done.
- Due to her prior history with Albus Dumbledore, Azalea might not be as trusting of Xavier’s intentions and dream as many of the other X-Men, and may actually sympathize more with the Brotherhood’s goals than she does those of the X-Men, if not for their carelessness.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Azalea being much more romantically interested in girls, than she is in boys due to the highly patriarchal society she came from, though that isn’t to say she is uninterested in boys.
- Azalea being paired with one or more of the following people: Laura Kinney, One or more of the Stepford Cuckoos, Rachel Summers, Wanda Maximoff, Boom-Boom, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, Madelyne Pryor, Angel or Colossus.
- Azalea having actually been cloned from both Jean Grey and Lily Evans.
- Azalea having tattoos and/or piercings which allow her to gain a sense of independence in terms of her appearance from Jean.
Optional Inclusions:
- For whatever reason, Azalea not becoming an Avatar to the Phoenix Force.
- If however she does become the Avatar of the Phoenix Force, then perhaps it augments her magical abilities rather than her psionics.
- This fic involving a Wrong-Boy-Who-Lived scenario.

- Motivation: Thrills: Azalea lives primarily to enjoy herself and have a good time, but is not averse to performing heroic deeds. However she will only do so if she prefers not to go out of her way looking for situations where a heroine is actually needed.
- Relationship: Not only is Azalea the 'twin' sister to Charles Potter, the so-called Boy Who Lived, but she is also one of a number of clone made of Jean Elaine Grey. - Relationship: Tabitha's father was a criminal and took advantage of her mutant powers to assist in his ability to commit crimes. She eventually moved into the X-Mansion because her mother thought it would be the best place for her, but wound up joining the Brotherhood when Azalea took control of it due to Azalea seeming to have a personality that meshed more with her own.
- Reputation: As being a rather bad influence on anyone who she interacts with, particularly Nightcrawler and Shadowcat.

Premise: “Step right up! Ladies and gentleman / Come in please? / Some say they're aliens / Some say they're strangers / Some say they're on this world / We will not conform to the masses / Whether they are ? or whether they attack us / C'mon! C'mon / Welcome, to the freak show!”
Required Inclusions:
- After dying, Harry must be reborn into a new world, otherwise known as another fandom.
- Harry must be at least somewhat familiar with the fandom he has been reborn into, having either read, watched the series on tv or played a game related to it.
- Harry must use that knowledge to his advantage.
- Harry must retain his ability to cast magic in this new universe.
- Harry being reborn within the body of Piotr Rasputin of X-Men fame, with all of the abilities associated with such a rebirth. Whether he is aware of his original identity immediately or not is up to the author to decide.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Harry as Piotr being involved with multiple girls, whether or not this is all at once or not is optional.
- Kitty and Illyana should remain soul mates, and should both express interest in Harry as Piotr, with their attraction being returned.
Optional Inclusions:
- Harry as Piotr not becoming the Juggernaut the way that the canonical Piotr would have done, but still becoming one of the Phoenix Five.
Forbidden Things:
- Harry becoming romantically involved with a male character.
