Complications
- Obsession: The Phoenix Force is the embodiment of the concepts of creation and destruction, and the Dark Phoenix in particular embodies the concept of destruction. She will go out of her way to attempt to destroy the entire universe so that it might be reborn anew.
- Relationship: The Dark Phoenix may or may not actually be Jean Grey. This is in spite of the fact that they look entirely identical to one another.
- Weakness: The Phoenix Force seems susceptible to magic and psionic attacks. This weakness has manifested in different ways, and the GM may interpret this freely. For example, the GM might decide that all Magic & Psionic attacks that score as Critical Hits, among any number of other possibilities.

Complications
- Enemies: Dumbledore is over 100 years of age, and has lived a very politically active life. It goes without saying he has made a considerable number of enemies. Some of these enemies are willing to shout to high heaven about their unrest in front of the Wizengamot, while others prefer to be more subtle in their efforts.
- Fame: Dumbledore is quite well decorated and therefore, very influential. If he says something should be done in a specific way, odds are people are going to jump into action in order to make it happen exactly the way he dictated.
- Motivation: The Next Great Adventure: With all that Dumbledore has learned and managed to accomplish in his long and storied but still mortal lifespan, is it any wonder that he tends to view the afterlife as just a continuation on more or less the same theme as he currently has been living with? With that said, he isn't actually in a hurry to die.
- Secret: Dumbledore doesn't exactly want people to discover that when he was young he had been a co-conspirator in Grindelwald's plans to take over much of the world. That still doesn't seem to stop him from using their catchphrase, "For the Greater Good!"

Complications
- Enemies: Voldemort has been declared a Dark Lord by the ICW. This means the average Witch or Wizard is permitted to use lethal countermeasures against him if they see him in public. With that said, that still doesn't make it safe to engage Voldemort in a fight unless you are at least as skilled at magic as he is, or else have some serious physical stopping power.
- Idiot Ball: The reason why the word "Voldemort" is the word everyone fears to say, is because Tom spent about a month trying to force magic to make his true given name a magically taboo word before realizing too many people in the world have that as a given name for him to ever have a chance of succeeding.
- Obsession: Voldemort is obsessed with being the one to kill Harry Potter, to the point that he would immediately hit even his most cherished Death Eater with a Crucio for suggesting that he let them perform the task in his place.
- Phobia: The primary reason Voldemort created his Horcruxes is because he is absolutely terrified of dying, and wants to live for eternity. It should also be noted that he sits somewhere between being a sociopath and a psychopath.
- Priori Incantatem: If spellfire from Voldemort's wand connects with spellfire from Harry's wand, as inevitably tends to happen when Voldemort engages Harry in a duel, Harry can and will force the magic to rebound on Voldemort, inflicting him with the Stunned and Defenseless conditions until Voldemort can successfully resist the effect as though it were a Rank 10 willpower affliction.
- Temper: Voldemort tends to toss Crucio's around like they were beaded necklaces on Mardi Gras. This is at least partly the fault of his having created so many Horcruxes and the damage they did to his mind.

Build Comments: And another installment in the ongoing process of trying to figure out exactly how best to model the Unforgivable Curses. I'm still not entirely happy here, but at least this looks closer to what they do in the novels. For point of reference, a Ranged Perception attack will always hit the target provided the person using the attack can accurately "perceive" the person it is being used against. I chose to make the Unforgivables into Perception attacks to represent the fact that they bypass any shield spells the target might wish to raise, which given that my default model for shield spells has them working as Deflect effects, that makes adequate sense.

Now, the trick with the dual resistances, is to represent the fact that the target of the Unforgivables is more than capable of diving out of the way of the spell, hence the fact that they can be resisted by a Dodge check. On the other hand, if you fail to dive out of the way of either the Crucio or the A.K. spells, you're very likely going to be in a lot of trouble due to the other resistance for those two spells being Fortitude and my standing rule that characters can only ever dedicate 4 power points DIRECTLY into their Fortitude resistance. In other words, unless the character has an incredibly high Stamina score, they are very likely to die if they are hit by Voldemort's Avada Kedavra and fail the Dodge resistance check.

Premise: Centuries ago, before Atlantis fell beneath the waves, the then King visited the land that would one day become Great Britain. Now, many centuries later, one of his descendants is set to make a name for himself on the world stage. This is his story (Inspired by DZ2’s “Ephemeral Blood” challenge).
Required Inclusions:
- All moral and ethical alignments are welcome.
- Powerful or stronger Harry.
- When the story starts is up to the individual author.
- The family Harry discovers he is tied to can’t be one of the Founders or an Arthurian family.
- Why they were famous is up to the individual author.
- The family must have been out of the picture of Wizarding affairs for at least 100 years.
- How people react to the news that Harry is descended from this particular family is up to the author individual author.
- All romantic pairings, except those involving another male, are welcome, though it is requested that Harry have more than one wife so as to repopulate his bloodline.
Preferred Inclusions:
- It has been requested that Harry’s family have some form of magical creature as a vassal or servant. This might work, but is possibly a bit broken all the same.
- Crossover with DC Comics, particularly the Aquaman Comics.
- Harry being super-powerful and/or OP.
- The family is from some race of magical creature.
- A betrothal contract exists between the family and the Veela as a means to establish a more peaceful relationship between the 7 Seas and the “Lofty Skies Above” (hint, hint).
- Harry being a direct descendant of King Atlan, and for whatever reason being directly in line for the Throne of Atlantis due to the recent mutually assured demise of both Arthur and Orm.
- As the new King of Atlantis, Harry has an army that would serve at his beckoning if he wished to call for their assistance.
- Harry having access to Atlantean Hydromancy, a branch of magic considered lost by Wizarding Britain.

Complications
- By the Power of Atlan: All powers with the "Magical" descriptor that are a component of Atlan's Trident can also be cast using Harry's Holly Wand (which isn't listed in this stat block), however if they are cast with said wand, then they are reduced by 2 Effect Ranks (equivalent to being Impaired).
- Destiny: Fate has decried that Harry is the one who ultimately has to defeat the Dark Lord calling himself "Voldemort" no matter what anyone else may say or attempt to do about it.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Harry will often go out of his way in order to save the life of some hapless damsel in distress. This also often leads him and those who he calls his friends, into rather harrowing situations.
- Power Loss: Harry needs to have his hands free and his mouth unbound in order to cast all but the most simple of spells, and it would be preferential if he had his wand or Atlan's Trident in his hand when casting spells. Without either implement he can still cast spells, but their ranks are effectively halved from where they'd be if cast using a wand (see "By the Power of Atlan" above).
- Relationships: Harry is the son of Lily and James Potter, and therefore the sole remaining member of the House of Potter, as well as the only recognized heir to the House of Peverell. Harry is also the godson of Sirius Black and the person Sirius named as his Sole Heir, which in turn makes Harry the Heir Presumptive Primary to the House of Black, while Sirius himself is Heir Apparent... That of course, is all in addition to the fact that Harry has just inherited the title of "King of Atlantis" as he is the most direct of Atlan's male descendant's, now that Arthur and his brother have passed from the world.
- Weakness: Harry will become Impaired after going 24 hours without being totally immersed in water for at least an hour. For every 2 hours beyond that point he will become Disabled, then Incapacitated, then 'dying' and finally 'dead'. Submersion in water immediately negates all accumulated conditions, except for the last one.

Complications
- Enemies: Black Manta, Murk and their Men-at-War, as well as countless other threats exist that would be quite happy to see Mera die.
- Motivation: Patriotism: Mera is quite devoted to the people of Atlantis, but isn't willing to watch as they follow Orm's plan to lay siege to the surface world.
- Relationships: Mera is the daughter of King Nereus and a Xebellian Princess. She was raised by Queen Atlanna of Atlantis as the Queen's protégée. Later in life she watched as King Orm battled his brother, Arthur Curry to the death, and left in despair, believing that Atlantis had lost any form of rulership. She would later discover to her surprise, that one ruler still remained, Harry Potter.

Complications
- Accident: Fleur doesn't quite have complete control over her Allure, which can occasionally lead to embarrassing situations, both for her and for the nearest affected male.
- Motivation: Acceptance: Veela are faced with no small amount of prejudice within the Wizarding Community, and for this reason Fleur is always in competition with not just Pure-Bloods, but pretty much anyone who is pure-human, in her efforts to secure lasting job offers. She truly just wishes for the day when her people will be accepted as valuable members of the community rather than how they are currently viewed by the majority of the Wizarding populace.
- Mythic Weakness: Veela are actually a type of Fey, and are therefore vulnerable to iron. Complications
- A Case of Mistaken Identities: Ishtar is often confused with the much younger "New God" known as Aphrodite. This isn't actually the case as the two came into existence at two entirely different points in the history of existence, even if they share many basic characteristics with one another.
- Fickle: Ishtar is cunning and devious, however she tends not to take important matters seriously. This tendency can be a severe liability for her.
- Infamy: Ishtar is by far and away the more well publicized of the two sisters due to her co-star role in the Epic of Gilgamesh.
- Motivation: Hedonism: In her pursuit of the ultimate leisure, Ishtar seeks to become the lover of highly-placed heroes and gods, such as one Harry James Potter. She will not settle for anything less.

Build Comments: I probably don't need to point this out, but Ishtar is quite likely the most dangerous opponent the Green Lantern Corps could ever face... or at least the male half of the Corps at any rate.

Oh, I should probably clarify something. When I label something as an "Old God" I mean that it is the template upon which pretty much all later versions of a particular concept are descended. Ishtar fits that concept in terms of the idealized romantic fantasy.

Complications
- Curse Sworn: In the aftermath of Ocean Master's death, Black Manta was quick to retrieve the trident of the former claimant to the Atlantean Throne. In doing so he accidentally forged a mystical bond between himself and the cursed artefact. From now on, every round he isn't in contact with the Trident he will suffer a Rank 8 Affliction causing the Impaired, Disabled, and Incapacitated conditions. The newly christened "King Manta" lacks any magical abilities without the Trident, and even if he did possess them, he'd be too overwhelmed by the pain of being parted from the trident to actually use them.
- Enemy: Princess Mera, King Nereus and most importantly, Harry Potter.
- Obsession: Manta is obsessed with preventing anyone else from claiming what he believes is rightfully his, the Throne of Atlantis. He fully intends on using his control of that throne to strip Atlantis of all it's material wealth, including it's people.

Complications
- Enemy: Death of the Endless is utterly pissed off with Hades for ever having taught mortals how to construct the foul abominations known as "Horcruxes" and would be very happy if someone would bend him over their knee and give him a severe whallopping for that transgression.
- Honor: Hades holds himself to a personal code of honor. He will not break his word once he has given it, which has proven itself true time and time again in regards to his beloved wife, Persephone.
- Quirk: Hades firmly believes that if a mortal doesn't want to die, then irrepairably damaging their eternal soul is the best way to go about it! That way they won't irritate him or his guard dog the way people like Hercules were wont to do
- Relationship: Hades is the devoted husband to the goddess Persephone, and through her the father of Melinoe, as well as possibly also being the father of Macaria, Plutus. His relationship to the Furies and Zagreus is even more confusing. Furthermore, he is one of the three most powerful deities in the Olympian Pantheon next to his brothers Poseidon and Zeus.
- Weakness: If Hades ventures outside of the Grecian Underworld, then every aspect of his stat block becomes Impaired until he returns to his home due to just how closely tied he is to his version of the Underworld.

Complications
- Enemy: Harry Potter has earned the distinction of being the biggest enemy the Dementors of Azkaban possess by virtue of the fact that his Patronus Charm is the single most effective Patronus at countering their presence in the entire world! They can also be said to be the enemies of the White Lantern Corps.
- Hatred: Dementors absolutely despise it when someone is released from Azkaban without having been kissed by one of their number. They despise it even more if someone happens to ESCAPE from the prison without them even realizing it.
- Obsession: Dementors are motivated by an obsessive desire to feel the emotions of other beings. The most efficient way for them to do this is by delivering their infamous kiss to a hapless victim. However they have brokered an agreement with the Ministry for Magic to act as it's jailors so long as they are allowed to be in close proximity to the minds of all those interesting criminals.
- Secret: Dementors are simply a group of advanced scouts sent to this world by the Gentry, a conglomarate of Eldritch Horrors from Outside of Reality that seek to make the mortal world echo their own reality. Since no one can understand the language of Dementors, this is a very well kept secret.
- Weakness: Regardless of whether it should or shouldn't affect the Dementors while they are Incoporeal, a Patronus Charm will ALWAYS affect them to the highest degree possible due to their status as Minions.

Build Comments: The "Strength in Numbers" feature does basically the same thing as the "Power of Hope" extra from the DC Adventures Heroes & Villains Vol. 1. In other words the Effect Rank of a Dementor's Aura of Dread increases by an amount equal to the number of Dementors within Visual Perception of any given Dementor as read on the Volume Column of the Ranks & Measures table. This is not capped by Power Levels as it is handled according to the rules for Teamwork. It is however limited to however many Dementors actually live in Azkaban, which is to say 1,000 max, but more likely there would only be maybe 250 to 500 at most.

It is worth noting, Dementors CAN be killed, but due to their ability to make themselves insubstantial when not delivering their infamous kiss, they are incredibly hard to actually hurt. On an amusing note, they count as objects due to their lack of stamina, but on a less amusing note, they aren't actually undead so things which only interact with undead have absolutely no effect on them.

It is worth noting, "Expertise: Gentry Lore" is a stand in for "Expertise: Magic" when it comes to these sorts of creatures, which is why they can have the Ritualist advantage without Expertise: Magic.

Sliders Brainstorm & Notes

Sliders
Premise: On occasion there exists someone who can slide from one universe to another, or even more bizarrely from one time period to the next. No one knows how this occurs, as it seems to be more instinctive than it is an active form of thaumaturgy. This is the story of one such individual.
Required Inclusions:
- For some reason at a young age, Harry Potter must “Slide” to another reality whereupon he is taken in by Shirou Kotomine at some point prior to the Great Holy Grail War.
- In addition to his ability to “Slide” between realities, Harry must be the reincarnation of Meleager of the Argonauts, one of the Hunters of the Calydonian Boar.
- Harry must be assigned by Shirou to participate in the Great Holy Grail War on behalf of the Red Faction, with him having summoned Medea Lily as his Servant.
- Harry must eventually be paired with Atalanta, as well as Medea Lily at the very least.
- Eventually, Harry must be unwilling to follow his “father’s” plans, or else was simply ignorant of them to begin with and joins those who are standing against Shirou.
- Both Atalanta and Medea Lily must survive the Great Holy Grail War and go on to live long and happy lives with Harry.
Preferred Inclusions:
- Artemis showing up at some point and telling Atalanta quite pointedly that she needs to “loosen up” and have some fun with her man (i.e. Harry).
- Wrong Child Who Lived Fic, which will be made apparent only if Harry and his girls travel back to Potterverse.
- Harry being in a plural relationship with more ladies than just Atalanta and Medea. Possibilities include, but aren’t limited to Fiore, and one or more girls from Potterverse.
Optional Inclusions:
- Instead of sliding back to Harry’s original Potterverse, he instead Slides to an Alternate Potterverse with his Ladies.
- Semiramis taking on a maternal role in Harry’s life, which is amusing to think about given Medea is like a mythical expy of Semiramis.

- Harry being in a romantic relationship with any male characters.

Complications
- Destiny: Fate has decried that Harry is the one who ultimately has to defeat the Dark Lord calling himself "Voldemort" no matter what anyone else may say or attempt to do about it. The only question that has to be asked, is whether it will be the same Dark Lord Voldemort as was the one who originally marked Harry as his equal or not.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Harry will often go out of his way in order to save the life of some hapless damsel in distress. This also often leads him and those who he calls his friends, into rather harrowing situations.
- Power Loss: Harry needs his hands free and his mouth unbound in order to perform the gestures and incantations necessary for his Magecraft, and the more world shattering magecraft is all but impossible for him to enact unless he is actively using his Spirit Evocation. He also has not been made aware just yet, of the differences between Magecraft (which he isn't really suited to) and Wizarding Magic (which is where he will one day shine).
- Relationships: Harry is the son of Lily and James Potter, and therefore the sole remaining member of the House of Potter, as well as the only recognized heir to the House of Peverell. Harry is also the godson of Sirius Black and the person Sirius named as his Sole Heir, which in turn makes Harry the Heir Presumptive Primary to the House of Black, while Sirius himself is Heir Apparent... Harry is also the adoptive son of Shirou Kotomine, and usually calls himself "Hadrian 'Harry' Kotomine."
- Single Target Evocation: Harry is only capable of using Spirit Evocation to call up the memories of the Argonaut known as Meleager. However on the other hand he is able to use that Evocation to enact a "miracle." If he spends a Hero Point when over half his team has been incapacitated, or else when many innocent lives are at stake (possibly including his own), he can then make a DC 22 Will check with a +5 circumstance bonus on the check. If all of those conditions are met, then for a short period of time he gains the strength to fight as an equal to a Servant of the Archer class, only one with some of the characteristics of a Caster.

Complications
- Host: While in this form, Harry isn't just remembering the life and times of Meleager, he truly becomes Meleager. This means that until Harry's body either goes to sleep or is otherwise incapacitated, it is Meleager who decides what it is that Harry's body is doing, and not Harry himself. Harry won't have any knowledge of what has transpired unless someone sees fit to inform him after the fact or he uses his Spirit Evocation's Postcognition ability to look into the matter himself.
- Motivation: To Live Anew: Meleager is simply happy to be able to have the opportunity to interact with two of his most treasured friends again when such opportunities present themselves. He even fully endorses Harry pursuing a romantic relationship with one or both of them, provided Harry doesn't mind Meleager doing the same when he assumes control of his body.
- Power Loss: Meleager needs his hands free and his mouth unbound in order to perform the gestures and incantations necessary for his Magecraft.
- Relationships: Meleager was one of the Argonauts and also a member of the hunting party that sought after the Calydonian Boar. He has the distinction of being the only man who Atalanta might have willingly given up her vow of chastity for in her original lifetime.

Complications
- Gotta Have Elf Ears: Caster is the great-grandchild of a Titan, grandchild of a god, and daughter of an oceanid. While she doesn't have the Divinity attribute that would have normally been associated with such a lineage for unknown reasons, she does possess pointy ears that denote her lineage. This tends to cause her to attract significant attention when she is out in public and not actively Astralized.
- Identity: Caster's true identity is Princess Medea of Colchis, a girl who lost everything in pursuit of an idealized romance that was never actually true.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Caster's alignment as per the D&D alignment system is "Lawful Good", so of course she strives to do good things in the world, so long as it doesn't involve her overtly breaking any laws to do such good things.
- Relationship: Caster recognized Hadrian as effectively being the reincarnation of Meleager almost the instant she finished materializing after he summoned her. Her memories of the man from after her devastating fall out with Jason left her far more receptive to being Hadrian's servant than anyone else's. She also has confused feelings regarding how she should feel about Meleager's 'Girlfriend' given that she has also been summoned into the Great Holy Grail War.
- Reputation: Caster was summoned from the time when she was still in the "Everything's Better With Princesses" phase of her life so the reputation she earned later in her life isn't truly hers, but the fact remains that she eventually spiraled down into an "Evil Witch of the West" phase and history remembers her for that more than they do any other aspect of her existence.

Build Comments: Regarding the Poison Resistance... In Nasuverse an Immunity to Poison just really isn't viable, even with the "Limited to Half Effect" flaw. So instead I have gone the direction of making it so that characters who are noted to be resistant to poison effects will have an Impervious Fortitude power that is limited to poisons, and some may even get the Second Chance advantage when it comes to resisting poisons.

Also, there will be some variance between the powers of any given Servant in their M&M stat block and what those powers do in FGO. This is due to the fact that FGO doesn't really have a viable way of being converted into M&M.

Another thing, "Ephemeral Romance" is the phrase that the FGO wiki uses to refer to what the Type-Moon wiki calls "Romance of the Sea Foam." I took the shorter name because of something that will happen in the fic that will change the meaning a bit.

Complications
- Enemy: Assassin of Black would have an incredibly easy time manipulating Archer into committing herself to using her trump card. The fact that very little could successfully pull Archer out of her enraged furor after she uses that trump card makes Assassin of Black into Archer's most dangerous adversary, more so since Archer would refuse to lay a finger on Assassin of Black.
- Honor: Archer has sworn a vow of chastity to the goddess known as Artemis. This is something that will cause a huge number of conflicting emotions for Archer as she struggles with the question of whether or not to forsake her vow in order to pursue the young man who is effectively the reincarnation of the only person she might have done just that for when she was alive.
- Identity: Archer of Red's true identity is Atalanta the Chaste Huntress. She, like Meleager, sailed on the Argo, and was a participant in the Calydonian Hunt. Meleager even gave to her the honor of being named the winner of the hunt, which is how she derived two of her powers.
- Motivation: Justice: Archer's main goal in life is to make it so no child ever has to suffer the indignity of a painful upbringing. She doesn't care whether or not removing such pain is helpful to the child, as she simply doesn't believe it is possible for a painful childhood to be beneficial.
- Relationship: Much like Caster of Red, Archer managed to identify Hadrian as having some sort of relationship to Meleager the instant she first laid eyes upon him. She also immediately recognized his Servant for who she really was. This has led to Archer contemplating whether or not to invoke her Independent Action and free herself from her service to Hadrian's father figure.
