Whispers in the Dark
Premise: “I’ll be the one that’s going to hold them. I’ll be the one that they can run to. My love is… a burning, consuming fire!” «Response to Whitetigerwolf’s “I Suppose I am” challenge»
Required Inclusions:
- Prior to receiving his Hogwarts Letter, Harry must be thrown back in time. This can be best achieved by having him make a contract, intentionally or not, with one of the two Counter Forces, which in turn enables most of the rest of the plot.
- Harry must grow up in the past, unknowing of his future, and hence events prior to Harry going back in time remain, relatively, the same.
- While growing up, Harry must learn of magic, and through it, develop a reputation to be feared.
- Harry must go by a different name than “Harry Potter”, though he may answer to it if the author wishes for him to do so.
- Harry’s reputation must be such that, even if they don’t fear him, Voldemort and Grindelwald must respect him enough to want to leave him alone so that he doesn’t turn his attention on them and attempt to eradicate them.

Complications
- Curse Sworn: Although he is only vaguely aware of it, Harry has made a Contract with Alaya to assist her in ensuring that humanity does not go extinct. To this end he has been granted extraordinary powers, but has also been taken from his normal timeline and been set down in a world where he has to make new friends and allies as quickly as he possibly can.
- Enemies: Certain portions of the Church, such as the Burial Agency, are both aware of Harry's existence and do not like the fact that he lacks many of the weaknesses normally attributed to both Dead Apostles and True Ancestors on account of not being a member of either species. They would very much like to seal him if they could figure out how to achieve such a task.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Despite being a centuries old vampire by the time he returns to the 1990's, Harry is still someone who strongly believes in doing good for the sole sake of it. He can't seem to help himself from rescuing damsels in distress either, which was certainly interesting for him during the height of the Arthurian Romance era as he wound up discovering something particularly amusing about King Arthur that never made it to the day and age when he was born.
- Relationship: Harry holds a contract with the Succubus known as White Len, who would not have come into existence in this world had it not been for Harry asking his girlfriend, Altrouge Brunestud, to help him in creating a Familiar for himself.
- Secret: Harry is to be considered an "Incarnated Elemental", and while he has vampiric traits that allow him to be considered "Closely Related to True Ancestors" he isn't actually a member of that species. The actual difference between his species and that of the True Ancestors, isn't actually fully documented and the only other documented example of a member of his species is in the case of Yu Miaoyi, or as she is more famously remembered "Consort Yu." Neither Harry nor Miaoyi have any real plans to allow people an opportunity to determine what differences might actually exist between their species, and go out of their way to avoid proper medical examinations by Magi and Wizardkind alike.
- Witchcraft: When one gets right down to it, the Thaumaturgy taught by Hogwarts and other magic schools isn't that different from what is termed "Witchcraft" by the Mage's Association, and it is that fact which has allowed Henrik to take his innate ability to perform the Hogwarts brand of magic, and bend it to the use of Magi Witchcraft in ways that might actually rival those of Tamamo-no-Mae. Unfortunately, his use of the term 'Witch' as a gender neutral designation tends to get him looked at really oddly by the members of the Wizarding Communities when he decides to visit those communities, even if it is more acceptable in the Magi Communities.

Calydonian Hearts
The Hunters' Hearts challenge: There was only one man she would have broken her vow of chastity for, and he had been murdered for the temerity of rewarding her. Now, Atalanta has been summoned by a wizard called Harry Potter...only, he seems to have knowledge of a past life, as her fellow hunter, Meleager...
RULES:
- Harry Potter is the reincarnation of Meleager, a former Argonaut, and a hunter who helped Atalanta bring down the Calydonian Boar.
- Somehow, Harry must summon Atalanta or else encounter her Archer or Berserker form.
- The pairing must be Harry/Atalanta, though multiple pairings are possible (see below). However, Atalanta must be conflicted, given her vow of chastity (despite that whole incident with Hippomenes).

Complications
- Curse Sworn: Master of Red: Harry is one of only three surviving Masters in the Red Faction, with the other two being Kairi Sisigou and Shirou Kotomine. Harry is also the only Master involved in this Grail War to represent the interests of the Wizarding World, rather than the Mage's Association, Church or the Yggdmillenia Faction.
- Fame: Harry is famed as the Boy Who Lived, Protector of Hogwarts and ultimately the Man Who Conquered within Wizarding Britain.
- Honor: Harry will never break his word. He never ignores an insult to himself, a lady who is not an enemy or his flag and such insults may only be expunged by an apology or a duel (which need not be to the death). Harry never takes advantage of an opponent in any way; weapons and circumstances must be equal (except in open war). However, all of the above only applies between Harry and other "Gentlemen."

Re: Poison Immunity I have opted to handle immunity to poison in a manner similar to how immunity to radiation is handled in the Radiation Power Profiles due to the fact that if I didn't, it would invalidate a whole host of attacks available to characters in Nasuverse, as there is an entire Servant Class devoted to the use of poison and similar methods, and there is actually an ability called "Poison Resistance" that grants a lesser version of what Harry has.

Complications
- By Thy Command: While Harry doesn't really need to use his Command Seals to convince Atalanta to follow his lead now that she knows who he really is to her, the fact remains that he does have three command seals that can ensure her absolute cooperation. These same Command Seals can be used to force her into or out of her secondary Noble Phantasm form against her will.
- Hatred: Due to the circumstances leading up to her marriage to Hippomenes, Atalanta has developed a particularly fierce hatred of both sly men and of the fruit from the garden of the Hesperides, which Atalanta recognizes as what the modern world calls an 'Orange' rather than the apple she is commonly thought to have been tricked by.
- Motivation: God Save the Children: Atalanta's main wish for the Grail, is that no child has to suffer ever again. It is a big enough source of her motivation, that Harry would actually need to use all three of his Command Seals to convince her to actually engage Jack the Ripper as an enemy.
- Quirk: Despite having perfect understanding of modern dialects, Atalanta tends to talk in a more antiquated manner, that if she were speaking in English, would sound remarkably similar to a bad rendition of the King James Version of the Bible.
- Relationships: Her Master, Harry Potter, is the reincarnation of Meleager, the one man who Atalanta might have willingly given up her vow of chastity for.
- Weakness: When operating without a contract, a Servant will become Fatigued after 18 hours, then Exhausted after a further 18 hours, and Incapacitated once another 18 hours pass by. If they do not form a contract at that point, they will immediately return back to the Throne of Heroes after the final 18 hours passes by. The Beckoning Tides Brainstorm

The Beckoning Tides
Premise: A child born of land, water and magic shall rise up to unite the world, or else drown it in chaos… “The tide beckons, Mister Potter. Not even you can escape it’s pull!”
- Lily Potter was the last royal blooded Atlantean left alive and was forced to flee Poseidonis as a child where the Evans family found her and took her in. She was then adopted and attended Hogwarts as she was "technically" a magical child on British soil.
- Harry is half Atlantean / half Wizard and discovers his powers while joining the Dursleys on their trip to the Surrey zoo. Unlike in canon, he manages to talk to some of the fish in the aquarium section of the zoo, instead of the snake in the reptile house. Before this, he just thought he had a weird fascination with the sea.
- Harry is able to communicate with all aquatic beings, even the most ancient and mythic ones. This also includes Merpeople, Mermaids, Sirens, and serpents. (Hint, hint)
- Harry’s powers also include hydrokinesis, the ability to breathe underwater, electrokinesis, and whatever else the author deems useful or fun for him to have that would fit the theme.
- This is NOT a crossover with the Aquaman movie! This is more or less a retelling or alternate reality! So Arthur, Mera, Ocean Master, etc... won't exist!
- However, this doesn't mean it can't be a crossover with DC Comics (or even Marvel)... It's just that this Harry will essentially be the local universe's Aquaman.
- If the author DOES cross it over with DC please, please, for the love of all things sacred DO NOT cross it with the Snyderverse movies! At least for Batman and Superman! But if the author feels they MUST then the challenger won't stop them either.
- Harry will require a Queen eventually, but the challenger prefer if the author have him wait till AT LEAST his 4th year before hooking him up with someone...
- While Harry can be any alignment, the preferred alignment is Light or Neutral.
- If the author wishes it, Harry can eventually get the Trident!
- Also if the author wishes it, Harry can eventually bring Atlantis to the surface!

Important Notes
- This concept will use the Old Ones from Justice League Episodes 41 & 42, "The Terror Beyond", however unlike that episode the premise of this concept is that the Old Ones succeeded in breaking their way into Atlantis in the early 1960's, forcing Lily to have to be raised in Britain rather than in Atlantis the way she would have been if they had never succeeded. In essence, this concept is an alternate universe scenario to the baseline DCAU.
- Incidentally, "The Terror Beyond" is the only instance I could find where the Cthulhu Mythos even makes a tentative appearance within a DC Comics scenario.
- Also, aside from the stat blocks I am posting for this story, it is probably safe to assume that the majority of the stat blocks involved will be largely unchanged from how they appear in the DC Adventure Heroes & Villains source books. Although, it should be assumed that all Justice League Members, except for Martian Manhunter, have a commlink added to their stat block.

Complications
- Enemies: The reason Harry's mother had to leave Atlantis, is because the Old Ones managed to find a way back to Earth and chose that opportunity to shatter the kingdom of Atlantis and take control of what would have been Harry's childhood home. It is now up to Harry to find the Trident of Poseidon so as to banish them from whence they came.
- Fame: Harry is famed as the Boy Who Lived, Protector of Hogwarts and ultimately the Man Who Conquered within Wizarding Britain.
- Honor: Harry will never break his word. He never ignores an insult to himself, a lady who is not an enemy or his flag and such insults may only be expunged by an apology or a duel (which need not be to the death). Harry never takes advantage of an opponent in any way; weapons and circumstances must be equal (except in open war). However, all of the above only applies between Harry and other "Gentlemen."
- Motivation: Patriotism: As the King of Atlantis, Harry is motivated by a desire to be a kind and just ruler to what citizens still remain of his once great kingdom. Unfortunately the very same circumstances which drove his mother from her home have left the kingdom largely a shell of the great land it once was.
- Power Loss: In order to utilize the powers in his Wizarding Magic Array, Harry mustt have access to an appropriate magical focus. Normally this refers to his wand, although the aforementioned Trident of Poseidon will function as an appropriate focus if Harry can manage to successfully locate it. He also can't really use the Atlantean Royal Palace until such time as the Old Ones are banished.
- Relationships: Harry has strong bonds to his parents, Hermione Granger, the Weasley family, Sirius Black, Hedwig, Dobby, Albus Dumbledore, Rubeus Hagrid, Minerva McGonagall, Remus Lupin, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood and Teddy Lupin. Unfortunately, several of those people died during the conflict with Voldemort. His strongest relationships of all, are with the Delacour sisters and their family.

Complications
- Game Face: A veela's entire appearance undergoes a drastic transformation whenever they are truly angered. When this happens, they become far more avian in appearance, gaining feathers, talons and even what appears to be a beak in the form of their nose. This transformation is however, largely cosmetic and serves only to show just how furious they actually are with someone.
- Motivation: Doing Good: Fleur wishes to do good for the sole sake of being a good person.
- Mythic Weakness: If Fleur's hair is ever cut using metal shears, then she will immediately lose access to the majority of the powers that are part of her Veela Physiology and the Veela Dance Array. She will retain use of her Veela Awareness power, but it will be renamed "Wizarding Awareness", and she will retain use of her Wizarding Magic Array and Talents.
- Prejudice: Veela are viewed as man-stealing whores by the vast majority of the world's non-Veela women and by the same token, as god's gift to mankind by most men who encounter them. No one really cares to ask what it is the Veela actually desire in a husband or anything, too busy are they focusing on the fact that Veela could 'literally' have any man they desire eating out of their hands.
- Relationship: Fleur is the mother of Victoire Weasley, whose father is Fleur's now ex-husband Bill Weasley. Fleur has managed to obtain sole custody of her daughter, though it is largely a communal effort on the part of the Delacour family to raise the girl. The reason she divorced Bill, is because she discovered the use of love potions on a number of people by the Weasley family, including both herself and Harry to keep them from marrying those who they should have married. In the case of both Fleur and Harry, their intended partners were to be one another.
- Responsibility: Fleur is employed as a Curse Breaker for Gringotts Wizarding Bank, and as such has numerous duties and responsibilities that she has to uphold in their service that can in some cases get in the way with her extracurricular pursuits.

- Big Fluffy Wings: Shayera has rather large and hard to hide wings. These make it difficult for her to blend in among the normal citizens of Earth the way that her fellow Justice League members are capable of doing, and tends to cause her numerous complications by virtue of the fact that she has no civilian persona.
- Honor: Shayera lives by a rather stereotypical code of honor followed by many warrior civilizations in the universe.
- Motivation: Patriotism: Shayera came to Earth from Thanagar to carry out the mission of determining what weaknesses the Gordanians would be able to exploit in Earth's defenses should they choose to attack the planet. She is entirely unaware that her reconnaissance will be used by Thanagar to execute it's own attack against the planet that she has come consider to be a second home.
- Phobia: Shayera's greatest fear is being trapped in a coffin and buried alive, after having her wings restrained.
- Relationships: Shayera is currently engaged to marry her fellow Thanagarian, Hro Talak. She is also a founding member of the Justice League, and good friends with many of her fellow founding members. She is one of the only people on the planet Earth who has prior knowledge of the Old Ones and their weaknesses that Harry finds himself opposed to, due to the fact that they were once worshiped on Thanagar, a fact which makes her a person of extreme importance to Harry.
- Stalker With a Crush: Shayera may or may not be the reincarnation of Chay-Ara Hol, just like Carter Hall (born Joseph Gardner) may or may not be the reincarnation of Katar Hol, the husband of Chay-Ara. What is clear, is that Carter Hall believes that they are said reincarnations, and will go to great lengths in order to convince Shayera to believe the same.
- Temper: Common things that you might hear Shayera say include: "Less talking, more hitting!" or "Excuse me, Hawkgirl Smash!" and various other things of the sort. It is clear she has a temper.

Build Comment: Unlike some people who might build Shayera, I have opted to make the Mace without the deflect power. Meaning that in my case that ability is intended to be something she would use Extra Effort to achieve, rather than something that is a regular part of her power set. This is because while the Mace can be used to deflect in flight magic spells, it isn't something Thanagarians usually have practice with actually DOING.

- Outsider: Icthultu is not from anywhere even close to this reality, and can be banished back to whence he came using any of a number of different methods to achieve such an effect. The most efficient course to gaining such a decisive victory is to obtain the Trident of Poseidon and use it against the Horror and his minions.

Complications
- Embarrassing Nickname: When she first appeared to Harry, she introduced herself as the "Queen in Red", this landed her with the nickname of "Queenie" since Harry refused to use the full name that she gave him. She wound up pouting for a very long time when he did that. It didn't help that she couldn't actually tell him her true name, as it is largely incomprehensible to mortals, but she would die before letting herself get tagged with an embarrassing name like "Nyaruko" again!
- Monstrous: When you really stop to think about what she actually is, you will realize that she is just as monstrous as Icthultu happens to be. The difference is that Queenie has learned how to blend in with humans more easily than other abominations would be able to. However despite her efforts to blend in, there is always something about her that is just a bit offputting and warns people of the truth.
- Motivation: Patriotism: As the soul of the otherwise nearly mindless Outer Gods, Queenie knows their desires and when they stir, disqueited, she takes action. Those who would "worship" Queenie in any of her guises, are in reality worshiping the Outer Gods as a whole. Sometimes this leads her to help humanity, sometimes it leads her to hinder them, but usually whichever is the case, she is always a fun (chaotic) person to be around.
- She of a Thousand Names: The entity who has chosen to refer to herself as the "Queen in Red" in this reality, is actually a multidimensional existence that transcends the boundaries of space and time. It is an entity that has been called many things in many realities, but perhaps the most iconic of those, is Nyarlathotep.
- Weakness: Loses use of Outer God Resilience against Axiomatic effects.

Build Comments: It is probably worth noting, that the single largest source of Axiomatic effects in the entirety of the DC franchise... is going to be the Green Light of the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum. In other words, Green Lantern Energy. That is actually why the Old Ones lost a war against the Oans millennia ago.

I've also just decided what the actual difference between Outer God and an Old One is... and let's just say that the Green is actually DC's equivalent to Walter C. DeBill Jr's addition to the Mythos, a deity known as Yidhra.
