The Temporal Laws

Post by XeroKhan »

Earth 1025 is unique when compared to other other Earths, mostly when it comes to its Laws of Time Progression (commonly referred to as The Temporal Laws of Earth 1025). These unique laws are as follows:

1. Earth 1025 is in a constant state of repetitive iterations, starting from when the point of time when this universe was first created to the final moment of this universe's Armageddon.

2. Earth 1025's repetitious iterations always have two traits: each iteration is longer than the prior, and each iteration has a significant difference when compared to the other iterations' histories. For instance, the current iteration of Earth 1025 is the only one with Superheroes and Super-villains.

3. To those with capabilities in time travel, it is impossible to naturally travel between Earth 1025's iterations. Time travel is only usable withing the current iteration.

4. To those with capabilities in time travel, certain events in history can be changed without significantly changing history, but not always. To explain, you could go into the past and change what you eat a year prior with no change in history; however, if you were to stop the bombings of Pearl Harbor, the Ally Powers would never gain the assistance of the United States in WW2, thus causing the Axis Powers to win and gain control over the world. (To make things easier to remember: "The smaller, the better; the larger, and things need fixed!")

These Temporal Laws have been around since the very first iteration, and have never changed. There are certain exceptions to these laws, but that is to be explained another time...

The Nine Realms of this Universe

Post by XeroKhan »

When it comes to a Cosmological map of this universe, it is a lot like the Norse Mythological Yggdrasill and its 9 Realms, but set-up in a different manner. To start with, Yggdrasill is the oldest tree in this universe, and it survives the transition between the iterations that this universe goes through. There are six major branches, each holding a Realm of this universe. It can be noted that each Realm is a different dimension when compared to Midgard (which will be explained). So, let me give you the run-down for each Realm of Earth 1025:

1. Asgard: Starting with the highest branch on Yggdrasill, Asgard is considered by humans to be Heaven. Leading up to Asgard is a bridge deemed "Bifrost" (pronounced Bye-Frowst) for it's aesthetic similar to that of a rainbow. At about the half-way point on this bridge is the guardian of Asgard, the Golden Knight known as Heimdall (pronounced Him-dall). The gate into Asgard is encrusted with lustrous pearls, and the walls themselves are of thick stones that are almost perfect in positioning. Inside, there are thousands of homes made purely of diamonds, while the great halls of the Nordic gods are far more glamorous in comparison. It should be noted that those who die favorably to the Norse gods get to enter this Heaven, where their afterlife is chosen by the goddess Freya. On one side of this afterlife, you would be under the care of Freya in her hall deemed Folkvang (pronounced Folk-vahng), where lovers would be together forever; the other side of the afterlife is with Odin, the chieftain of the Norse gods, in his hall of Valhalla, where every day one would feast, then fight to the "death," then return to feasting, and repeat process.

2. Vanaheim: the next branch down holds the Realm known as Vanaheim (pronounced Vah-nah-him), which is a Realm considered to be total high fantasy in genre setting. It is here that the Nordic nature gods known as the Vana reside. It is a Vana's duty to ensure that the natural order of all nine Realms of Earth 1025 are in tact and not altered by another means. It is here that other species coexist, like humans, "light elves," "dark elves," orcs, gnomes, and halflings. Because of it's appearance as a high fantasy dimension, Vanaheim also contains unexplored dungeons, massive medieval-like cities, and fantastical creatures like the Dragon and the Owl Bear. (This Realm can use D&D, Pathfinder, M&M, and other such systems if a game is set here.)

3. Liosalfheim: The next branch holds Liosalfheim (pronounced Lyo-sahlf-him), where the "Light Elves" reside. "Light Elves" are their common name among others, as their actual name is impossible for other races- including the Norse deities- to pronounce. It is this realm that mortals consider to be the "astral plane," where only those with the ability to create an astral form can freely enter and exit this Realm; however, "Light Elves" can freely enter and exit this Realm freely in their physical form. Liosalfheim itself actually appears as a massive expanse of clouds and blue skies, with homes and cities belonging to Light Elves are built onto these clouds themselves. It should be noted that it is extremely easy to get lost in the barrier of clouds that surround this Realm, as that is the only way to enter this Realm.

4. Midgard: The next branch holds Midgard (pronounced Mid-guard), where plethoras of galaxies are held. It is this realm that everyday humans live in- specifically what they call "Earth." There is not much to be said here, as the rest of this Realm will be explained afterwards.

5. Jotunheim: A sister branch to Midgard's branch, Jotunheim (pronounced Yo-toon-him) is the Realm of Giants- a race with somewhat humanoid appearance and of colossal size. Despite these beings living in a time era similar to that of early Dark Ages (as they use tools and weapons made of stones and wood), they are extremely talented in magic and illusions- especially their king Utgard-loki (pronounced Oot-guard-loki). It should also be noted that these Giants have the capability of entering and exiting their Realm with ease- especially since they have a taste for humans!

6. Nidavellir: Held by the lowest branch, Nidavellir (pronounced Need-ah-vell-ear) is the home of the "Dark Elves,"- also known as Dwarves- the brother race to that of the Light Elves. Their Realm appears like a massive cave system with vast cities built along the ground and walls. It should also be noted that Dark Elves are masters of forging weapons, armors, and trinkets. Things changed quickly for this race when they discovered a substitute for coal in an ore they call "Svartite." When used as coal, it imbues magical properties into the metal being forged. It is because of this discovery that their architecture, clothes, and society in general became more and more like Steampunk.

7. Helheim: Located at the very roots of Yggdrasill, Helheim (Pronounced Hell-him) is a Realm that no other person wishes to go when they die. At the start of a person's afterlife here, they are at the foot of a massive bridge that is hanging by a single hair off of an exposed root of Yggdrasill. This bridge into Helheim itself is guarded by Modgud (pronounced Mode-good), a skeletal warrior. When allowed to cross Modgud's bridge, one must traverse through a forest of crystals while walking on sharp rocks. Once at the center of this "forest"- which so happens to be their goal" is the entrance to the rest of Helheim, which is guarded by the blood-colored/covered hound known as Garm. The rest of Helheim is exactly like what is seen in Dante's Inferno. The very first layer is where the goddess of death Hel herself resides in her massive castle, caring for the good of humanity that were unable to go to Asgard, but still resenting the other gods and goddesses for not assisting her in this endeavor.

8. Niflheim: To the north of Yggdrasill is the first of two primordial Realms known as Niflheim. It is this Realm that is covered in Snow while Rivers of Ice flow to the south. This Realm is constantly and continuously battered by a blizzard of snow, ice, and hail. It is this Realm where the first of the Frost Giants resides, and he is known as Ymir.

9. Muspellheim: To the south of Yggdrasill is the other primordial Realm known as Muspellheim (pronounced Moose-spell-him). This land of endless drought is a vast desert that is bordered by volcanoes that continuously vomit rivers of lava. It is here that the first of the Fire Giants resides, and he is known as Surt.

The Basics of Magic

Post by XeroKhan »

At first, Magic was an unknown force that nobody had any idea about; however, this changed when it was discovered and heavily studied by the very person who discovered it: the All-father of Norse Myths Odin. Odin had discovered this force when he hung himself from the highest branches of the World Tree for nine whole days. Nobody knows how he came upon it, but some speculate that Odin might have seen something in the vast abyss between the Realms to the North and to the South of Yggdrasill (This abyss is known as Ginnungagap [pronounced Gin-nung-uh-gap]). Odin was the only master of magic for many years, from the Age of Myths until the start of the Renaissance. After that point, Odin began teaching those he deemed responsible enough to use magic. Odin explained Magic in three forms:

1. Natural Magic: Without anybody knowing, they are constantly using magic as they speak. Natural Magic can easily explained in one word: "Emotions." It is this magic that gives others the knowledge of another person's feelings about a subject.

2. Converted Magic: It is this magic that many deem to be actual magic. This form of magic does require three things: a fuel, a medium, and a focus. It is taught that emotions are the fuel for Magic, and the medium is the chanting of a spell; it is the focus that is the most difficult to learn. Odin first taught magic to others through runes engraved into stones; however, when one masters this, they begin to learn to use their own body as the focus point of the spell. It is because of this that Odin selects those who he deems responsible to use magic- that is, those who can control their emotions better than others.

3. Altered Magic: This magic is the most dangerous form of magic, as it is commonly used by what mortals call "Elder gods." The process is just about the same as Converted Magic, but the fuel is not emotions, but something completely else that is only known to these "Elder gods." When mortals use this form of magic, there is a chance that negative effects will happen to these foolish mortals. It has been documented that there are three results that happen to those who use Altered Magic. The first result is the best result one can imagine- that is death. The second result is more horrific, as the caster becomes horribly disfigured, whether to the degree of still resembling a human, or resembling something else entirely. The third result is the worst one one can imagine, as their soul is ripped from their body and claimed by whatever Elder god created the recently cast spell. The reason why this is the worst one is because of one reason: the soul of a person is identical to the mind- without it, one cannot BE a person, but a monster.

The Force behind Alchemy and Magic

Post by XeroKhan »

In this world, there are five main elements that make up the entirety of this universe: Air, Water, Earth, Fire, and Aether. Although the former four elements are known to everybody commonly and easily, Aether is unknown to most. Aether is the material that makes up a living mortal's spirit. Without it, a mortal cannot enter into the Astral Plane (a.k.a. the Spirit World).

To further explain, this universe can be separated into two Worlds of existence: The Material World, and the Spirit World. To put things simply, the Material Plane makes up the entirety of the Universe, while the Spirit World makes up the spiritual side. They both cannot exist separately; however, they are also separated by a barrier called the Archaeus. Without this Archaeus, the demons residing in the Spirit World would cause havoc all across the Material World, and common mortals would be able to see what exists in the Spirit World.

As mentioned, the Archaeus is the barrier that separates both the Spirit World from the Material World. It is made of four compressed Aethers, making it all the more powerful and mysterious. These four compressed Aethers are deemed as such: Chemical Aether, Life Aether, Light Aether, and Reflective Aether. The following list explains these four Aethers:

1. Chemical Aether binds all matter together. Everyday mortals would easily call this "Electro-Magnetism," as it is this force that binds all atoms together to make up matter.

2. Life Aether is what binds a spirit and soul into a mortal vessel. Not all mortals have Life Aether, such as common animals and plants; however, other alien races that have animal or plant traits can have Life Aether inside of them.

3. Light Aether is what attracts a spirit into a newborn infant. It is this Aether that is closest to the Spirit World than the other Aethers.

4. Reflective Aether can easily be stated in two words: "ghostly hauntings." This Aether takes the form of those in the past to exactly re-enact happenings of that specific person's past. It should be noted that those who are mages or have some access to Aether can easily do this to contact those in the relative future.

The Archaeus, and Aethers in general, can be misused easily. Mages are great examples, as they can misuse Aether if their emotions are all over the place. It is the Alchemists (those who study the mystical aspects of the Material World) who seek to use Aether to create either the infamous Philosopher's Stone or the Elixir of Longevity for their own pleasures. It is because of these two reasons why Aether is an unintentionally dangerous material

It's Ancient History, Now!

Post by XeroKhan »

As the past history of this universe is shrouded in mystery due to the uncounted number of iterations predating this one, not much is known about what happened before this iteration. As for this iteration, it began similar to that seen in Norse Mythology: the first Giants spawned from the primordial Frost Giant Ymir as he fed on the teats of the great cattle Audhumla (pronounced Ow-doom-la). As for the first of the Norse gods, the first one to spawn was from a block of ice covered in salt, and his name was Buri (pronounced Boo-ree). Not much is known about Buri other than that he is the grandfather of Odin.

It was the grandsons of Buri, who are named Odin, Vili, and Ve, that killed the physical body of Ymir and made the body into the components that make up the entirety of Midgard. Not only this, but the three inadvertently eradicated the mass majority of the Giants because Ymir's blood flooded the recently settled Realm of Jotunheim. And from the remaining corpse of Ymir were the first of the Light Elves and the Dark Elves born, as though they were maggots (odd enough).

After the creation of Midgard, life began to spring up more from the Giants, and the creation of the first humans was just about immediate. The gods began to mingle with each other as well as the morally good and attractive of the Giants. It was from this point on that this iteration's history truly began, as well as the legends of Norse Mythology being enacted.

For the entirety of Ancient History, the Norse god of Thunder, Thor, took upon himself the mantle of the protector of Midgard. Whenever any malevolent Giant were to attack Asgard, Midgard, or any of the other peaceful Realms, Thor arrived quickly and defeated each and every invader of the specified Realm. It must be noted that Thor is the first Superhero to exist in this history, and this superhero would not be the last in this iteration.

During the time that the Egyptian Empire was spread across the Middle East, there was one person who had gained a surprising amount of power- powers that could equal the gods of Asgard. Although he was accepted by the Norse gods, he deemed himself unfit to reside in Asgard and created his own fortress in the void Ginnungagap. This person then took on the name "Celestial" for his enemies to recognize him better.

It was hundreds of years after this that the nation of Israel stood tall and stalwart among the other nations that existed. During the time of King Solomon of Isreal, a group of Israeli mages formed a group and called themselves the "Kabbal." Their goal was use divine magic to protect Israel from the more mystical foes that wanted to destroy them; sadly, however, the Kabbal did not last long, as the king after Solomon disbanded them entirely.

Then came the Roman Empire, the largest Empire to exist in Ancient History. Their reach covered the majority of what is now called Europe, and they held that power proudly; however, their actual empire didn't stop there, as their mages created portals to expand to only one other planet, the Moon of Jupiter called Io. Because the Roman Empire's influence was so great, the alien species that lived on Io adopted everything that the Roman Empire's culture offered. Sadly, however, this happened at the end of the Roman Empire's reign, and thus the Age of Ancient History ended.

The Dark(ness) Ages and The Crusades

Post by XeroKhan »

When the Roman Empire fell, so too did so many lands that were once ruled by Rome. Since then, the lands called "Christiandom" (a.k.a. Europe), The Middle East, and the entirety of Asia have dictated that they would be ruled by Kings and their Queens; thus, Monarchy became a more wide-spread thing. However, what truly made this the Dark Ages was because of the change in magics.

During this time, mages began to dwindle due to the power of the recently established Roman Catholic Church. Those of high power within this church were "enlightened" by some unknown things, and they gained the odd ability to naturally emit a magic nullification field that they called "The Protection of God." It was at this point that this church began using Paladins to eradicate those who were able to use magic, which they called "The Devil's Works," and anybody who would dabble in these affairs. This is what led to so many mages and alchemists to hide in terror. This event is what mages and alchemists began deeming "The Darkness Age."

After hundreds of years, The Roman Catholic Church spread its influence across Christiandom, and beginning what they called "A Holy War" upon those that were not for their God in the Middle East. Thus, the Crusades began, and many died on both sides from these wars. It was a power struggle to control the land called Israel, which held many powerful things to either side. The First Crusade pushed the Arabs out of the land, and the Arabs reclaimed it again in the Second Crusade, and repeat this during the Third and Fourth Crusades respectively. The real reason the Catholic Church pushed here was because of the hiding mages and alchemists that were studying the ancient teachings of the Kabbal.

Once the Fourth Crusade ended, the Norse pantheon began to step in, realizing that this odd power that the Roman Catholic Church wielded was actually powers from unknown "deities." Thus, having Thor and the playfully mischievous Loki sent on the hunt for these "deities," they discovered beings sealed away deep inside Yggdrasill. These beings who were able to communicate to the Norse Duo through telepathy claimed that they existed since the very first Iteration of Earth 1025 (a term these "Great Old Ones" deemed to each similar universe in the Multiverse), and that they wanted to give humans power to fight off the Norse gods. It was at this point that these "Great Old Ones" and the Norse pantheon went to war against each other. In the end, the Great Old Ones were pushed back into slumber by a familiar face to the Norse pantheon: Buri.

From what Buri could remember at this point, he was a being from the first Iteration who fought off the monsters that became the "Great Old Ones," and even froze himself just outside Niflheim into a state of cryo-sleep, only to awaken by Audhumla in this Iteration. He kept it a secret from the rest of the pantheon so that they would not have the same idea that he did, and that he had a duty to keep the Great Old Ones sealed away inside Yggdrasill. Coincidentally, at the same time that the Great Old Ones were forced back into slumber, the Movable Type Printing Press was invented, allowing knowledge to spread at a mass amount all over the world. Thus, the end of the Dark Ages, and the Age of Darkness.

The Renaissance: Rise of the Seven

Post by XeroKhan »

To begin explaining this Age, we must go immediately before, to a time known as the Black Death. Currently called the Bubonic Plague, the Black Death was originally a disease that was only found in Jotunheim (coincidentally, Black Death is a Giant's common cold). It was during this time that alchemists who were in hiding from the tyrannical Catholic church decided to use their knowledge to help those who contracted this dangerous disease. This group became known as Doctors. This group of people were at first distrusted by many- especially those of the Catholic belief; however, they quickly became more and more trusted as their practices helped the common people. It was because of this that others began springing up to help others through other means.

Come the start of the Renaissance, where the first heroes to the public began springing up. In particular, there were seven heroes who were exceptionally known for their good deeds. The first was a Scandinavian man whose ancestry included many Viking berserkers, and he was commonly called "Berserker" as a result. The second had been deemed "The Golden Knight," for he wore a set of mystical Teutonic knight armor made of pure gold, which has some unknown origin. The third was a Romani woman who used her dancing methods and acrobatic finesse to help, and she was called "The Lady of Persia." The fourth claimed to be the infamous Englishman that called himself "Robin Hood," who used masterful swordplay and archery to help those who were more destitute than those in fortresses. The fifth is a mystery, as he frightens many unintentionally by his decayed form (and openly showed reluctance to help others to feel the rest of the dead); thus, they called him "Revenant." The sixth was a Spanish woman who, during the Spanish Inquisition, became stronger and stronger every time she had experienced intense pain, thus her name became "Torturaron." The final one was an Italian alchemist who, through a botched alchemical concoction, had gained the ability of adaption, at the cost of becoming physically deformed to appear like an amalgamation of many creatures; thus, he has been called "Chimera."

When word came to the ears of Pope Alexander VI (a.k.a. Roderic Borgia), he became angered, and forced the mentioned seven to become disposable soldiers for the Vatican. To put insult to injury, Borgia claimed that these seven went against the Catholic church and even being possessed by demons that personified the infamous Seven Deadly Sins: Berserker being Wrath, The Golden Knight being Greed, The Lady of Persia being Lust, Robin Hood being Pride, The Revenant being Sloth, Torturaron being Gluttony, and Chimera being Envy. It was dictated that the Seven were to be forced to do the will of the Vatican by going on journeys that can easily kill a normal person.

In reality, the recently dictated "Seven" had been cursed by the "Protection of God" by making the Seven unable to die except by the means of being hanged. No matter what mission they were sent on, the must get the result that the Pope dictated for them to get; however, it is because of this stipulation that they always get the wanted result AND help anybody else along the way.

This all changed when technology began to expand with the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. Cesare Borgia, the son of Pope Alexander VI, wanted all of the blueprints made by da Vinci, and ordered the Seven to obtain the blueprints AND da Vinci himself. Without a given choice, they brought da Vinci in to develop weapons for the Vatican. It was while the Seven were awaiting the next order of the Borgias when they were encountered by an elderly looking man that wore a depressingly grey outfit with blue trimmings, and wielding a large spear. This man called himself Odin, and he freed the Seven from their unfair internment by means of the Vatican, and told them to stop Cesare.

During Cesare's capture of Viana, The Seven and Odin confronted Cesare, who wore a war suit created by da Vinci, and their battle ensued. In the end, Odin's spear Gungnir killed Cesare, and the killed Borgia's body was stripped of the clothes that covered it. It was at that moment that the Seven declared themselves the protectors of the people, defending them from what the Vatican planned. Because of the curse that Rodrico Borgia gave them, the Seven lived through the Renaissance, and learned of another threat coming from overseas...

The Colonization of The New World(s)

Post by XeroKhan »

The history of the planet changed when Christopher Columbus discovered what they called "The New World," which is called the Americas today. It was from this day forward that humans began to explore The New World, and even what lied beyond; however, this was not the only "New World" that was discovered. The Kabbal, which first existed briefly in ancient Israel, had been recently been reorganized as a union of alchemists, mages, and magical beings alike. It was this group that inadvertently created a portal to another "New World." It was discovered that there were magical beings there, and even the Norse Nature gods, the Vana, explained that this world was Vanaheim, which was one of nine dimensions in the known universe.

To the surprise of many humans, this discovery meant that they could expand even further than the New World that was discovered by Columbus. It was then decided that half of the members of the Kabbal and their families would establish a colony in Vanaheim, and they called that colony "Sephirot," after the diagram that described man's interpretation of who the Christian's God is. At that same time, America was then starting to be colonized, including those who were on the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. This was truly what the Kabbal dictate as the Age of Colonization.

It was not long after that the English colonies in America wanted their independence from England's Parliament. Eventually, English forces, aided by the Robin Hood of the Seven, came upon rebellious colonists. All was silent before the clash at Bunker Hill, but a single shot was heard. Nobody knew which side caused that shot to fire, or who even fired the shot, but the War between the colonists of America and the English soldiers began. In the end of that battle, the English forces won due to the might of Robin Hood.

Not long after this, the Golden Knight, Lady of Persia, and Berserker came to the American colonies and assisted them in pushing back the English forces, as both Chimera and Torturaron began assisting Robin Hood. Thus, a civil war between six members of The Seven began. Time after time, the Seven clashed in battle after battle, with no apparent loser to each side.

As the war between the colonists and English forces continued, the colonists eventually became known as Americans, as the Declaration of Independence was signed. It was from that point onward that this War for Independence began leaning toward the side of the Americans, until the Battle of New York ripped away England's control over the American colonies; however, it was at that time when the true mastermind came out and announced of his finished plans to the Seven. That mastermind was none other than Loki, the Trickster of Norse Mythology. Loki decreed that he was the one who fired the infamous "Shot Heard Around The World" at Bunker Hill, and all throughout that war Loki had been snatching the souls of the perished from the Valkyries of Odin and took them to Helheim in order to boost their forces for the upcoming Ragnarok.

Ironically, though, the leader of the Vana, Hoenir the brother of Odin, appeared and told Loki that the mages of the colony Sephirot had actually gone to Helheim and transported the previously captured souls from Helheim and took them to Asgard for their proper afterlife. At first confounded as to how that was possible, Loki quickly remembered the colonists of Sephirot, thus causing Loki to flee back to Asgard, where he was punished by Odin to stay in Asgard until further notice. It was at that point where the Seven called a truce between each other, and seen the peaceful result of what Loki caused: the United States of America. It was at that point that the Seven decided to stay in the United States, and assisted in protecting the Americans from any powerful force that might oppose them.

The Maddening Era

Post by XeroKhan »

In the years following the War for American Independence, Humanity prospered. The first human colony on Vanaheim, Sephirot, had become the diplomatic capital of that Realm for not only humans, but also Light Elves, Dark Elves, and the other fantastical races. The Empire of England expanded to encompass the entire Eastern Hemisphere, and even established an alliance with the recently established American Republic of the United States. The United States, through ingenious business practices in the political field of the world, doubled the size of their states after purchasing the mass expanse of land owned by the French, known simply as the Louisiana Purchase.

It was from this point on that Americans began to migrate further into the landmass that is America; however, this was at the irritation of the Native American colonies that were there even before the War for Independence. As a result, many of the "Indians" of the American wild lands began attacking the political Americans that moved further into their lands. These attacks caused some of the recently settled superhero team The Seven- in particular Robin Hood and Torturaron- began protecting the settlers, and even tried peaceful diplomacy with them. Some of these meetings succeeded, and others failed. Despite this, the American people were resilient, and began settling what they began to deem "The Wild West."

On the other side of the Pond, the English monarchy had begun diplomatic meetings with the Dark Elves of Nidavellir. These meetings met with the two being in a state of diplomatic peace. The Dark Elves would learn many of the advancements that the humans have made, while England prospered in the magic based technology that made up the Dark Elves' society. By the time that England fully incorporated the Dark Elves technology into the British Isles, the famous Queen Victory took the throne, and under her rule the English Empire ruled the Eastern Hemisphere. Those in the Modern Era of Human history would call this "Steam Punk."

Despite all of these successes, there is another side of this story. Things changed when the infamous serial killer "Jack The Ripper" came into the limelight. In Transylvania, the terrifying Vlad Tepes became the first vampire. Even the scientist Victor Frankenstein reanimated an amalgamation of body parts that made up a single human-like being that many deem "Monster." There were even monsters in the Wild West that many are terrified of.

With these events happening, many began to act to protect the common people. These groups include the following in their respective areas: The Seven, The English Monarchy and it's army, The Vatican and it's Paladins, and even The Kabbal. Sadly, however, The Vatican had declared a secret war against The Kabbal, causing the Kabbal to gain the aid of the English Monarchy. They succeeded, and the English Air Ship Forces began fighting with The Kabbal.

In the end, through much investigation from The Kabbal- with the assistance of Thor- they learned that the number of monsters that are appearing were because of the "blessings" from The Great Old Ones that are sealed inside Yggdrasill. It was at this point that they began to escape from Yggrdrasill after being sealed inside for an uncounted number of iterations. Buri, The one who had survived the end of the previous iteration of this universe, declared that they are entering this world through the means of an underground cavern that stretches from under London to under Central United States; and, according to Buri, it is the only "crack" in Yggdrasill that the Great Old Ones could seep through. Thus, Odin went to investigate, only to discover an actual Land of Madness that was inhabited by a large variety of creatures spanning from human to animal to even plant. He sealed the "crack" in this maddening land and returned to Asgard.

It was at this very moment that the adventures of a certain young girl happened in this wondrous land. These adventures were recorded by Lewis Carroll in his stories "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass." What happened afterward was the origins of the first (and only) human to master and control Altered Magic. Thus, Alice Pleasance Liddell became the "Queen of Wonderland," and became the hero to guard and fight off The Great Old Ones inside Yggdrassil. She even told of other happenings in Wonderland to Lewis Carroll, who recorded them in the manner that he did.

"The War To End All Wars"

Post by XeroKhan »

World War 1, known originally as "The War To End All Wars," was a time when everything changed. What triggered this war was the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, the heir of the Austria-Hungarian throne. It was by this time that the Austria-Hungarian government made an ultimatum to the Kingdom of Serbia, causing Russia to reinforce the country's defensive force. When Austria-Hungary invaded Serbia, Germany invaded Belgium and Luxembourg and made their progress into France. This was how WW1 started. This war comprised of two opposing forces: The Ally Powers, and the Central Powers. The Ally Powers included Russia, France, The United Kingdom, and eventually the United States, Italy, and Japan. The Central Powers included Germany, Austria-Hungary, and eventually the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria.

To make matters even more dire, each nation's national superheroes became involved in this war. Russia's hero was a ice controlling hero called Snegovik. France's representative hero was a duplicator with grand swordplay, and he was called Le Mousquetaire. The United Kingdom's hero was one who further progressed the Dark Elf Technology into something that he could use, yet a petty crook in his early age, and he was called The Steam Punk. The United States had many choices, but they eventually decided upon a gambling gunslinger with strong mental powers, and he was known as Jack Spade. The Vatican sent their greatest paladin as the representative for Italy, and he is known around the world as Peter the Headsman. Japan had sent their hero, an unkillable samurai who calls himself Benkei. Austria-Hungary, ironically enough, happened to convince Revanent to represent them by threatening to destroy his tomb. The Ottoman Empire sent a sand controlling sand elemental known as Kum Ustadi. The Bulgarian Empire chose a Greecian immigrant with immense super-strength and super-reflexes, calling him Heracles. As for Germany, the had none, for some odd reason, yet they were a powerful force with odd technology not yet seen on Earth.

Years of war happened, which culminated in many deaths, yet none to each national hero in the war. Things changed, however, when in March of 1917, the Bolshevik Revolution changed the Russian Empire to the USSR. This made the Russian hero Snegovik curious, and asked his fellow allies to help him investigate. They assisted, and they discovered that the man who caused this massive government change, Vladimir Lenin, was guided by an enigmatic figure in the German government. When they covertly infiltrated Germany, they discovered a meeting that involved the German leader Kaiser Wilhelm II and a being that they concluded was not of their planet. The extraterrestrial told Wilhelm II what he needed to do in order to win this war and be appointed as the governor of this planet under the extraterrestrial's emperor. They also discovered the involvement of this extraterrestrial with the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand as well as the Bolshevik Revolution. With this information, the heroes delivered this information to the Ally Powers post-haste; however, in the process, they clashed with the Central Power's representative heroes.

It was one year later, after much conflict, the Treaty of Versailles ended WW1, and the heroes of that war without a single idea of who this mysterious person who advised Kaiser Wilhelm II in this war. It was not long after that the Big Four (comprising of United Kingdom, Russia, France, and United States) had a meeting that dictated the redrawing of the European Nation's boarders. They also dictated that Germany was to pay for the entirety of World War 1's hefty costs.

As for the heroes, they parted their ways, each to their own country; however, they couldn't stop thinking of this extraterrestrial who advised the German army and the Bolshevik Revolution. Whoever this figure was, they were preparing their world for something big- something worldwide in scale...

Rise of Mozkiitoz (a.k.a. "The War To End All Wars," Part 2)

Post by XeroKhan »

It was some years later that the Great Depression began, but not just in the United States. The results of the first World War caused an economic depression all over the world, especially in the more war-torn areas. Even the world's superheroes did what they could to make lives easier for the common folk.

It was some years later that a man named Adolf Hitler quickly rose to power in Germany, becoming the face of the German Socialist Party (also known as the Nazi Party). Not long after, Hitler began what was known around the world as the Holocaust, which killed millions of people of varying belief that opposed the Nazi Party. The German Tyrant continued his terrible reign by invading the neighboring country Poland with the help of Russia. At that moment, France and the United Kingdom declared war on Germany, and World War 2 began.

Despite intense resistance from France and the UK, Germany, with the aid of Italy and Russia, captured Paris. Germany began bombing London later on. What made matters worse was that the Nazi army wielded advanced technology in their weaponry, and even a super-villain of their own: a battlesuited soldier called "Four Winds. "Truly, they were out for global domination, and it almost worked.

Firstly, the country of Norway became under German occupancy, with Vidkun Quisling heading the government during said occupancy. This act was mostly focused on gaining control of powerful Scandinavian Relics from ancient times. This caused the gods of Asgard to become infuriated, and sent Thor to clean up this mess. Thus, Thor began fighting for the Ally Powers.

Then, when Japan bombed the Hawaiian military base at Pearl Harbor, the United Stated immediately went to war against Germany. What they never told the public was that the United States established a superhero policing force before hand, only to be finished right after the United States entered the War. This police force was called Project: Jackrabbit- after the infamous antlered rabbit that resided in the western United States- which focused on investigating superhero caused incidents and abnormal occurrences outside of common human comprehension. They even gained the aid of Thor and the Norse pantheon.

The first and foremost thing that Project: Jackrabbit did was investigate the Holocaust, as the Nazi forces focused on the Kabbal Embassy of Midgard. Their investigation discovered that the Nazi Party collected the powerful magical artifacts located inside the embassy. This was odd, as the Nazi armies, even the infamous Waffen SS, never used any of the stolen magical artifacts. Thor supported this finding with the German occupancy of Norway. It was at that moment when Project: Jackrabbit needed to infiltrate the German capital for more information.

Thankfully, The Seven volunteered for this suicidal mission and succeeded. Firstly, a picture showed Hitler speaking with the very same extraterrestrial being found during World War 1. Secondly, a file from Hitler's private files revealed Hitler's intention of hoarding magical artifacts as an "ace in the hole" not for the Ally Forces, but a being that the extraterrestrial represented who was dictated as "M." At this point, Jackrabbit (which was a shortened nickname created by the heroes among the Project) needed to capture this extraterrestrial to figure out what was truly going on.

This idea was quickly shot down when an international event occurred: an insectoid alien came to Earth and declared that he would stop this second World War himself. This alien called himself "Mozkiitoz," and he led the Ally Forces to victory over Germany. It was then discovered by Jackrabbit that the extraterrestrial being seen from World War 1 was working for Mozkiitoz. Thus, Jackrabbit's heroes revealed their proof to the insectoid alien, and Mozkiitoz revealed his plan: create a World War to weaken the forces of Earth, then use a second World War to not only finish the job but also make Mozkiitoz a "hero" by cleaning up the War. Then, when the world fully trusted him, he would send his full army to the planet and add it to his empire that spanned the entire galaxy.

After his monologue, Mozkiitoz fought the heroes of Jackrabbit, only to be defeated and forced back to space. Then, Jackrabbit reclaimed the stolen magical artifacts that the Nazi Forces. It was right after this that Jackrabbit learned of a solo hero reclaiming the Pacific Theater from the Japanese who called himself Maui. Thus, Jackrabbit met this hero and almost recruited the hero, only to fall short by a battle between Maui and Thor. It was by that time when Japan was bombed twice by the United States.

The bombings of Japan ended World War 2 entirely, and Jackrabbit was accepted fully by the world as a separate policing force outside most national laws. Jackrabbit was known to the public by everybody, and Jackrabbit assisted in reestablishing the Kabbal as a Magical Forces branch.

The Age of Rolf

Post by XeroKhan »

Since World War 2's end, the world began to pick up what destruction had been caused in Europe. In an indirect way to assist, Jackrabbit became a predominant subject among the soldiers that survived the War. With the help from the superheroes under the Jackrabbit banner, life all over the world became more peaceful.

Not long after this war's end, a company was founded in a small port city in the United States called Blaze Corporation. This Corporation focused on assisting the lives of many through the means of technology- from safe nuclear energy to the sci-fi flying cars. What the world never knew was that this company's founder, Lincoln Blaze Sr., had made a secret deal with Jackrabbit to assist them with any technological means.

It was in 1959 that Jackrabbit had been contacted by a being claiming to be a Great Old One in the shape of a chimpanzee-sized gorilla. When Thor went to investigate with the assistance of Buri, they discovered that this Great Old One was not inherently evil, but chaotic. It claimed to be a being with capabilities that can warp reality to it's will, and it fully introduced itself as "Rolf," as it's actual name was impossible for any mortal to pronounce. "Rolf" then claimed his goal to "Simplify this world of all it's complexities" only for the fun of it, and thus the world entered what many superheroes call "The Age of Rolf." (This term was coined by Rolf.)

Since that moment, Jackrabbit began investigation into how to fix this "Age of Rolf" and even stop this effect. It was then that Communism began it's rise, and Snegovik had become brainwashed by Communist forces to become the ultimate Communist enforcer. Thus, many world events began, such as the following: The Cold War between Communist Russia and United States, The Vietnam War, The construction of the Berlin Wall, and the Cuban Missile Crisis. It turned out that, through Jackrabbit investigation, that all of these major things mentioned were caused by Communists.

As things began to seem dark for finding a fix for this "Age of Rolf," a brand new discovery came to Jackrabbit through Blaze Corporation. Lincoln Blaze, with the assistance of the Queen of Wonderland, discovered that radiation from nuclear materials was caused from the past presence of a Great Old One. With this in mind, Jackrabbit needed to find a radiation using superhero to force Rolf to return the world to what it once was. In December of 1964, Jackrabbit discovered an ex-supervillainess, who called herself "Nucleara," that escaped from Communist control. Thus, Jackrabbit approached her with the issue, and she accepted with the only cost of her becoming the leader of Jackrabbit. Hesitantly, Jackrabbit accepted, and Nucleara went to force Rolf to fix the world.

Conveniently, Rolf had appeared to this group immediately after the deal was struck, and Rolf said that he would only relinquish his Age if he were defeated in a competition. Nucleara immediately accepted, only to discover that Rolf's competition turned out to be a game of checkers. Funny enough, each and every time Rolf lost (which was all of them), he called for a re-match. When New Years Eve came, just before the stroke of midnight, Rolf conceded defeat, and reverted the world back to the way it was. And with that, Rolf vanished, and Nucleara became the head of Jackrabbit.

Terror of Jackrabbit

Post by XeroKhan »

With the Cold War nearing its end, so began a massive change in the world. The very thing that ignited this change was the new direction of Jackrabbit. With Nucleara at the helm of Jackrabbit, the policing force began exerting a more intense force toward superheroes and supervillains alike, to the point where both sides were terrified by this new direction. Nucleara had even been quoted saying, "All super-peoples- whether they be heroes or villains- exert a tension as to whether another clash between them were to happen again. I- Nucleara, the new leader of Jackrabbit- will ensure that any and all crimes committed by these super-peoples are properly prosecuted and contained by law and to bring safety to all 'normals' that live among the supers."

Things changed, however, when the American Lunar landing of the Apollo 7 discovered more alien lifeforms- these being a more peaceful, yet scavenger-like, race of tiny mouse peoples. It was this major discovery that the governments of the world began to debate whether to open Earth to Alien population or not- especially since the events of the World Wars. Nucleara only had this to remark, "Extraterrestrials who come to Earth will be under the Super-people's classification. This means that Jackrabbit will have full rights to prosecute any visiting Aliens while they are on this planet's surface. There will not be any form of exception." This statement incited many to oppose Jackrabbit, claiming that Aliens are normal peoples, and that Jackrabbit is classifying 'normals' as just humans without super-powers.

Thus, Jackrabbit began to become scrutinized heavily by the United States government, and they became the first nation of Earth to allow Aliens to live among them, but in secret at first. Sadly, Jackrabbit began cracking down on these Aliens as they unintentionally committed crimes in comparison to United States laws. This prosecution was even to the point where even peaceful Aliens who wanted to visit were to afraid to even land on the planet. It was by this point that the United States government set up a new task force to fight against super-powered villains as well as stop Jackrabbit. This task force became known as "The Kill-Joys." Although the members of The Kill-Joys are not only classified information meant only for the President of the United States, but they are always constantly changing members.

It was by President Nixon's order to have these Kill-Joys end Jackrabbit, as they had become corrupted and cruel in their methods. Thus, the battle between the Kill-Joys and Jackrabbit happened, resulting in Jackrabbit being entirely eliminated, and Nucleara brought to justice, as she was discovered with plans of world domination by means of controlling all super-peoples and stopping any form of extraterrestrial life forms inhabiting the planet, in full text in print (an oversight on Nucleara's end). Although Nucleara was imprisoned indefinitely, Jackrabbit as an organization began to rapidly decline. It was this decline that began the Dark Ages of Superheroism.

The Dark Age of Heroes

Post by XeroKhan »

Since the disbandment of Jackrabbit, the genuine superheroes and superheroines had to be forcefully retired. They have even been persecuted to the point where they had to go underground. Some took to alcohol or drug abuse, while others became fanatics- some even villains- to the two major movements in America: The Women's Rights, and The Black Empowerment.

However, not all heroes went underground. These heroes patrolled the streets at night, some with their sidekicks, despite their beliefs that the laws in place are flawed and corrupt. Other heroes became mercenaries, hunting down the still-acting heroes by the bid of high-paying gangs or Mafioso. It was even known that the Kill-Joys have even been sent out on occasion to eliminate certain superheroes.

It was with the blind eye of the public law focusing on the "vigilantes," a corrupt global organization had openly established itself as "The Regin Foundation," which used an archaeological society as a front for their real operations. Their operations involved their use of ninjas, super-enhanced leathers and latex, and even Svartalf weaponry. They had committed crimes involving their stealing ancient artifacts from before the Roman Empire. Their reputation in the public underworld caused even well-established crime families to hesitate at their name.

On the other end of the spectrum, a man who only called himself "Harrison" began what he called the "Phoenix Initiative," where he went around and gathered the true heroes of around the world. With these heroes, Harrison focused his unknown resources into assisting his recruited heroes into retrieving the stolen artifacts from The Regin Foundation. The nicknamed "Harrison's Heroes" had war declared on by The Regin Foundation for their apparent thievery. Those within the so-called "Harrison's Heroes" knew of each artifact's magical or technological capabilities, but they were given no chance to explain due to their being superheroes.

Then, in a sudden movement, The Regin Foundation gained a hold of the famous "Spear of Destiny," and began using it to begin their world domination; however, they were swiftly defeated by the fully prepared "Harrison's Heroes," and they were deemed around the world as heroes for their actions. It was when Harrison began a press conference of his group that he announced what his "Phoenix Initiative" truly was: a resurrection of Jackrabbit. He explained that he was the grandson of the man who founded the Jackrabbit Project, and that he was told to bring it back to it's full glory as a force to help superheroes, whether they were human or "alien." It was by Providence that the United States's President at that time permitted this, and Jackrabbit was re-established, with their leader being the almost enigmatic Harrison.
