Size Changing Weapon power

Post by Doctor Malsyn »

I was thinking of making a build for a character of mine I play in pathfinder, a gnome titan mauler. Whioe they hadn't gotten to that point yet, eventually he'll have a weapon which he can make change it's size. How would I best describe that with M&M 3e? I considered slapping growth onto a remogable device, but that dosn't seem quite right. Another trick I was thinking it could have was stretching, but I consider that as less of a headache the figuring out the base power.

I suppose essentially, more damage with less accuracy (It's hard swinging that thing right!), and an increased reach with each increase.

{nods} You could pretty readily build that as giving the Power Attack advantage and/or Reach. You could build it with a dynamic array, but the scaling would be a bit wonky due to the default method of adding accurate being Accuracy, which is 2-for-1, and the extra points in Reach for the larger setting.

More damage with less accuracy is just Power Attack. Adding Reach is the Reach extra.

Strength Based Damage 4 (Power Attack, Reach 4) - 9 points.

You can limit the use of Reach to points of Power Attack used if you want. I'd call that a 1 point savings for a Quirk at most.

Both options could probably work, thanks for your input. I'll play around with it later myself and see wheat I end up with.
