Humble WARMACHINE Bundle

Post by FuzzyBoots »

I've never played this system, but there are currently some huge discounts on WARMACHINE (I'm given to understanding the capitalization is necessary), Hordes, and Iron Kingdom on Humble Bundle.

Caps is not necessary.

It's a decent system and plays like the (fan favorite) miniature game mk2 edition. Just with skills and social stuff as well as plot.

That said, if you like the setting it's excellent, as it is not really adaptable for campaigns outside of the IK. There's also very few antagonist / bad guy material. The Cryx faction (the undead) has never gotten a book, but the Skorne do and some of the Legion of Everblight write-ups in the No Quarter magazine are quite good.

My main beef with it is that the system was designed as a gateway to sell miniatures and not for TTRP. Just to much is based off of it to really ignore. It also favors more the power roll player rather than the Role player.

I would recommend the D20 version if possible as that is more in line with standard RPGs.

Still the price for the humble bundle is great. If I didn't already have everything I would consider it.
