Re: Jab's Builds! (Chibi-Usa! The Death Phantom! Fiore! Brute Force!)

I've just been hit with this as well, and I did host all my images there. Now I have to rebuild my thread. Oh well. I've decided to go with Google Photos. 15GB of free storage and the interface is notably quicker and easier than the rather slow and clunky Photobucket. Album management isn't up to mu...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Queens Beryl & Metalia! Ail & An! The Hell Tree!)

Skimming through this tour of the world of sailor magical girls makes me realize how inaccurate much of what I have picked up about Sailor Moon from other media is. For some reason I always thought Sailor Moon was a girl with a short black bob haircut who was far and away the most powerful and compe...

As a character she was o...

Re: Jab's Builds! (The Press Gang! Cameron Hodge! Captain Britain!)

I am getting far fewer views on my thread than I used to, but the rate of comments is about the same. Mine has never been a conversation thread though. I usually only get other posters when I put up something well-known such as my Gen 1 Transformers run, or when I use a particularly saucy piece of a...

Re: J-Mart: The Wrecking Crew, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Power Girl, Supergirl

I've seen that pic of Mary Marvel before. It's the one where she looks as though she isn't wearing any underwear in a dress that is basically a belted open-sided tabard. And she's flying in it.

Re: The T-Verse (Earth 75): Face Card, Acid & Tripper

Who did the art for Acid? That's a nice piece of work and it doesn't look to be from the pages of a comic.

Re: Batgirl III's Character Thread

With Dex 8 she would still have PL 16 from the Move Object 23. She is also now under-PL with the Affliction 14, as it comes out to PL 11. A +8 ranged attack bonus also seems a little low for this Diana. She is always protrayed in media as having really good aim with her lasso, thrown tiara, with a b...

Re: Batgirl III's Character Thread

Wouldn't having Move Object 23 on her lasso combine with her +12 ranged attack bonus to give her a PL of 18? The Affliction 14 as well would require a PL of 13.

Re: What webcomics do you read?

I read a lot of the same ones other people have mentioned. Ones I follow that haven't been mentioned so far: Diesel Sweeties: Sarcastic pixel characters going head-to-head in a world of coffee, porn and robots. Dumbing of Age: Dave Willis' current comic, reusing many of his characters from earlier s...

Re: Bladewind's M&M 3ed Builds

This reminds me, I must get around to doing the Justice League from Earth-43, the one where they have all been turned into vampires (like in that 'Batman - The Brave and the Bold' episode).

GREASE MONKEY https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/30/83/9e/30839eb489b0c01cdfb6afb75cc83f9e.jpg Now this is a good one with a cool pic and nicely detailed and thematic build. I can see him being more of a blue-collar super-ape. Rather than wearing specs and a lab coat he would be in a garage ...

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

My attitude to continuity is: Whatever, is the current story any good? I like the current iteration of Clark and Lois, having them be an established married couple with a child. It's not something that I've read for them before and anything new is good, comics get so repetitive. Alternate reality sh...

Re: What Indie Comics Do you Read/Support?

I love indie superhero comics and trawl the internet for them. Indyplanet is a good site for digging a few gems out of the rough. My favorite is Argo Comics by Dan Sehn. The main titles are Argo 5 about a fairly straight superteam and Sorority of Power about a trio of wannabe superhero women and the...

Re: What are you reading?

I'm reading Dreadnought by Robert K. Massie. It's a history of the naval arms race between Britain and Germany in the late 19th to early 20th centuries and its part in the coming of World War One. A thousand pages of dense military and political history but it's still thrilling because of the outlan...
