Re: Captain Marvel MCU

There is more than one trailer, which does give us more information and shows more range for her, mostly regarding Fury and the cat and interactions with Monica Rambeau. Monica hasn't been seen yet. I'm not sure she'll be in the film, her MOTHER, Maria, is the woman you see Carl interacting with. (...

Re: Aquaman!!

Awesome! I'll have to save the pennies to see in the discount theatres, cuz it's no longer showing up here.

Re: Aquaman!!

I watched it a couple of days ago and I'm not sure what to make of it. Some people said that Aquaman is a movie looking for its own identity, which might be true, but I think that in doing so it achieved a rather good balance. The general look and feel is much more Marvel than DC, but it manages to...

The pettiest thing? Make stories so good that people would rather read mine than anyone else's. Make Comics Great Again, best revenge EVER.

The more I see, the more I hear, the more I'm coming to the sad realization that Comics as a medium are dead.

Chris: To my knowledge, you haven't directly made any personal attacks against anyone here, which I appreciate. You do, however, have a tendency to word your posts in a way that comes off as angry and confrontational. As much as I appreciate people sticking to the letter of the law, I don't want an...

Re: When did "Ugly Female Protagonists" become such a thing?

It's because that in Western Animation, there's a cabal of people who were introduced via Pendleton Ward and Adventure Time, who have taken over most of the industry. See, back when Adventure Time was a thing, Mr. Ward started to hire friends and people on Twitter. And since then it's the same inces...

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Spider-Verse might be the best Spider-Man movie I've ever seen. It's either this or Spider-Man 2, hard to say. Hoping for a sequel. Agreed, my youngest and I loved it. Definitely buying it when it comes out and hope that there is a sequel. Also according to IMDB Gross USA: $162,890,116, 24 January ...

Re: DnD v3.5 and Wizards vs. Sorcerers

Limiting Wizards so that Sorcerers are actually viable is effectively being a dick. What, there are NEVER going to be any spell books nor useful scrolls for the Wizard to transcribe? Ever? That's a little mean, isn't it? The other issue is that Sorcerers get a new level of spell casting at double th...

Re: Spider-Man - Far From Home - Trailer

I still think it's a waste of a potentially great story of character growth. At first he's the school jock/bully who torments Pete (despite being Spidey's biggest fan), also the physical aspect of the character is important because we readers know Pete could effortlessly drop Flash and is forever h...

Re: Spider-Man - Far From Home - Trailer

Given how disappointed I was with Iron Man and his Side-Kick, Whiny Spider Boy, I'll give this a miss.

Rumour is they want an all girl spinoff. Given it's box office numbers though, no guarantees however.

Re: The Box Office Topic

So I've done some research into this, and I've found out some facts that skew the numbers a bit. First off: Budget. Now, a lot of the time, we only get literally half the number, because they don't list the marketing spent on the movie. Which according to multiple sources who have worked in Hollywoo...

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

However, that's my opinion given what I've seen of the trailers. I refuse to see it in theatres simply because I don't willingly give terrorists my money. No problem! I paid to watch it five times, so they won't even notice that you didn't! :D Your money, your call. I'm just saying I won't do it, I...

Huh?
Stan Lee died. Now, they don't have to even pretend to respect his legacy anymore.
