Re: So, favorite pro wrestlers?

Being British I do support the home town heroes, the best of whom was the British Bulldog. His win at Summerslam in 1992 against Bret Hart his brother in law was perhaps the high point. But his fight in the Royal Rumble 1992 which Rick Flair won is also noteworthy. He appeared on kids TV in Britain ...

Re: So, favorite pro wrestlers?

Steve Austin. I saw his run in WCW at the start of the 90s and it was not up to much. What he did in WWE was astonishing with how the crowd took to him. His wrestling might have been limited but he could really get under the skin and work the crowd. The feud with his boss fed into people's fantasies...

Re: So, favorite pro wrestlers?

I like Mick Foley especially since I read his autobiography A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks. If you have not read and like wrestling I would urge you to consider adding it to your reading list. It made me to change my mind about how I felt about some wrestlers especially Harley Race who I had bad opi...

Re: So, favorite pro wrestlers?

I like The Undertaker. The gimmick is one thing. The slow approach, the sheer size. But then you have what he does. Two matches against Shawn Michaels. No, not the Wrestlemania ones but in 1997 following Bret Hart vs Undertaker at Summerslam where Shawn 'cost' the Undertaker the belt. At the In Your...

THE REAPER!!
I don't fear The Reaper.
No do the seasons. The Wind, the sun and the rain.
I can be like they are. I'll be able to fly.

Re: Cool stuff to do in London, England?

Things to consider in Paris. If you are only going to be there once go see The Louvre. Yes it has the Mona Lisa but there are other works of art there that are staggering. It is at the end of the Champs Elysses which is dead straight and goes upto the Arc De Triomphe. This is worth seeing Marble Arc...

Other things in London Imperial War Museum. This has got all sorts of war related material from the most belligerent nation on Earth. You ain't nobody until you have fought Great Britain. This is situated on the old mental hospital called Bedlam and is indeed where you get the phrase about things be...

The statue of Nelson has four lions at its base. Don't make me set them on you.

Re: Cool stuff to do in London, England?

As someone who lived and worked in London for 30 years. I can perhaps give you a few tips. Definitely The Natural History Museum. It looks good on the outside and has all sorts of goodies on the inside. Shame we have lost the Diplodocus skeleton but there you have it. The Science Museum is right nex...
