Re: Jab’s Builds! (Equinox! Onslaught! Torpedo I-III! Captain Ultra!)

The idea of a "Spider-Man Class" flying brick is kind of interesting, but you'd think he'd be kind of a wimp overall then. Despite having a lot of powers, he's not actually "powerful" in the sense that he seems like someone who would get his butt kicked a lot. Most vehicles can o...

Re: The Tinkerer

For me, characters like the Tinkerer, Dr. Jonas Harrow, the Night Nurse, etc. are the really interesting part of the superheroes/supervillains community, their existence not only justifies many insane moments, but provides a really welcomed sense of "normality"... too bad very few current...

Re: The Joker (MK11)

... I really miss Independent ... Was that a 1e or 2e feature? 2e; you'll never hear me regretting the absence of anything from 1e, believe me. Well, except for ... never mind. Anyway, it was in the Ultimate Powers book, basically a way to build lasting effects that aren't under your control, like ...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Kollector! Cetrion! Kronika! The Terminator!)

I know I'm not in the majority here, but I actually liked Mortal Kombat vs DCU. It was a fun but not very complex fighting game, and some of the designs they went with were questionable. But they actually put some effort into having a fleshed out story, one that could only be truly appreciated if yo...

Re: BSDQ's OCverse Builds

Thanks Ares, appreciate the kind words. As you or anyone who has visited the DA page will know, this isn't even a fraction of all that's going on with the ExMythos, and a lot has changed with it since I last posted here. As I stated over at the art thread, I'm not sure I'll bring back this thread, ...

Re: BSDQ's OCverse Builds

Re-reading your art thread thanks to that post by drkrash had me give this thread another once over. It really is impressive the kind of superhero setting you've created for yourself, how fleshed out it is, and how fun a lot of the concepts, names and designs are.

Re: BSDQ's FdH Gallery (Coalition of Champions, Mythos Villains)

Yeah, there's a lot of good designs here and on BSDQ's deviantArt page. He's got a really fun supers setting, one that got some elaboration over in his build's thread, though it's fallen behind this thread in terms of updates.

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Kollector! Cetrion! Kronika! The Terminator!)

From what I saw, Robocop got a massive tech upgrade for MK-11, having things like jet thrusters built into his leg and back, having a collapsible SWAT shield that he could deploy from his arms, etc. Though it is funny how the Time Stream Crossing thing makes these crossovers not only possible, but p...

Re: J-Mart Prime: Flashes - Barry, Wally; Green Lanterns - Hal

While I like Kyle and Wally as the two most iconic "everymen" of DC, I really like Barry and Hal as well. It honestly doesn't really feel like the DCU if Hal, Barry, Ollie and Dinah aren't there alongside Bruce, Clark and Diana. Mark Waid had a lot of fun with Hal and Barry when he wrote s...

Re: Jab's Rifts Builds (Guardsmen! Warlock Marines! Invaders!)

The Invaders is a great concept, but I agree the actual aliens themselves look more than a little ridiculous. They really do resemble Muppet designs that Jim Henson just tossed away because they were too silly for what he was working on (let that sink in). I do like the "hard light" space ...

Re: J-Mart Prime: Flash (Barry)

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not a fan of all of the extra lightning lines they added to Barry's outfit. It takes a simple and sleek look and just makes it too busy for my tastes.

Re: J-Mart Prime: Wasp, The Vision, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter

Loving the builds, Thorp. The various PL builds are a lot of fun, and I have to admit, I tend to keep the PLs for my own headcannon that most heroes PL stop at 12, with top tier heroes like Superman and Thor at 12, higher end heroes like Iron Man and the Fantastic Four at 11 and the "average&qu...

Re: J-Mart Prime: Wasp, The Vision, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter

Nice. If on your players made J’onn, you’d have to explain niche protection to them. The thing to remember with the DC heroes, and the big-name Marvel ones, is that their range of abilities is from their solo books. Superman doesn't need to back off the super-senses to protect Batman's detective ni...

Hmm... mind-reading and x-ray vision, and he's got his eyes squinched shut so that we can't see them. Are we sure he's not an ancestor of Tommy Monaghan and Glonth just triggered his latent abilities?
Let's keep anything Garth Ennis related far away from any Marvel Family/Fawcett properties.
