Sorry correct, the Superman we get is almost entirely the Post-Crisis/Pre-Flashpoint version of Superman. With a few nods to the Nu52 to explain the continuity stuff.

Also, Jor-El looks like a one-eyed Marlon Brando, so we at least have that.

Re: Bendis moving to DC

However, could someone explain to me how Jon's grandfather can show up, and while Clark and Lois are both "what are you doing here" neither of them is doing a "how can you be here"? Jor-El has been around for a while now. He's the guy who kidnapped Tim Drake over in Detective an...

Re: Macyn's Golden Gloves Gym(or,Intresting ways to Characterize fighting styles!)

Thanks. Are there sites you can visit that tell you if an instructor is genuine or not? Local review sites are a good place to go. Otherwise most legitimate sports have national associations that will list accredited clubs or trainers. You might have to look at the state level if you're in the USA,...

Re: Macyn's Golden Gloves Gym(or,Intresting ways to Characterize fighting styles!)

How about a ranged martial art style. There are several archery related practices that rely on certain techniques to be effective. Defendu would be fun (to the point the commando knife issued to troops is named after the guys who invented Defendu), you know the one that Christopher Lee used to know ...

Re: M&M 3E - New Product Ideas

I line with the three, maybe four threads, I had at one point about M&M gribblies something about deities I the comic book sense. Like build up a good solid fun character inspired by different deific backgrounds as though they were M&M Characters. I went from straight PL8 to around PL20 with...

Luthor is an inhumane human.
I like that description, yours as well Ken. That's basically what I was trying to say, perhaps with the wrong words.

Re: Titans - Live action series.

Just give us the Batman his own damn show! (Tyler Hoechlin should also be given a Superman show. He’s the best guy in the Big Red S since Dean Cain.) Never going to happen, in no small part because WB can't seem to separate the 60s Batman show from well Batman and TV and I think there are still som...

Re: Favorite Comic book character, when you were young vs adulthood.

Kal-El could rule the world as a benevolent dictator, but Clark Kent would never let him. Ma and Pa raised their boy better than that. And that's why I like Superman. Because even though he could rule the world, he doesn't because even though he isn't human he certainly has heaping piles of humanit...

Yeah, I just find it astonishing that you could kill someone in such a horrifying manner and get so little time away from the public, never mind his "Unconditional release" that means that he doesn't even need to be checked up on any longer. Naturally, the family of the murdered guy was m...

Re: Favorite Comic book character, when you were young vs adulthood.

Honestly, its a toss up for me. I've always liked Superman. Never mind that I'd love to have those abilities if only for being able to fly under my own power. More though it is about a character that could do quite literally anything, Superman should by all rights rule the world, a benevolent dictat...

Re: Anyone have crowns or fillings?

I had the wisdom teeth pulled, one just came straight out, very simple extraction. The rest, had to be broken apart. A bit of tooth came out a month later when I was in Japan.

Other than that a few small fillings.

I’m not an expert, but I think there’s an even lower risk of her hanging any more toddlers if she was inside a prison. Probably, but without more insight in to the particulars I'm not actually that surprised. Remember probation means constant check ins, and if you miss one its off to prison you go....

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

Also, I think it's safe to say that DC has gone overboard with all of the "forces". I already thought the whole Emotional Spectrum thing was a bit much and over-complicated. The Green Lanterns and Sinestro Corps rings should both just run on willpower, the difference being what they recru...

Re: Gal Gadot Being Wonderful

I'm reminded of Steve Buscemi returning to his original engine company in the aftermath of 9/11 and pulling 12 hours shifts along with the rest of the crew. And absolutely refusing to even confirm to the press that he had done so for months afterward. Best part, nobody would have even known if a sh...
