i really, really like Count Conjuro, and I'm in agreement with Davies about not seeing enough redemption stories in OC biographies, though there are plenty of face-heel turns. Nice work!
All my best.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
I'm afraid I was having just a bit of minor fun teasing a "spoiler", Ares (hint: there's a much bigger revelation in the movie, for those who don't know it already). You know, the other reason I enjoyed the Holiday Special is that James Gunn didn't feel the need to step on dramatic or poig...

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
This one was a lot of fun, and kind of heart-warming. The humor works because of the principal characters involved, since Drax and Mantis both have limited understanding of human society along with very dissonant codes of conduct. It helps that the movie goes by Rule of Funny, so no one gets (badly)...

Re: The Phoenixverse (A 2e OC 'verse; Newest: The Champions! The Stars! Gunsmith! Megagirl! Arriba! Nega! Alsea! Countes
You really excel at world-building; the bits of alternative history, extended character backgrounds/legacies, and even mysterious lore helps make your setting seem a lot more, well, real. It may be a world run by superhero tropes, but your talent for consistency and internal logic makes that work. V...

Re: The World In The Aftermath (Formerly A World Less Magical)
Both the Horned God and the All-Traitor are instantly memorable to me, though perhaps more as high-fantasy creatures than characters belonging to the superhero genre. The Adradius is evocative of Prince Gaynor the Damned, the Eternal Traitor of Michael Moorcock's (rather endless) books, while the Ho...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Warlord! Machiste! Shakira! Jennifer Morgan!)
The Primal Force book held my interest for a little while, but it just seemed to meander a bit too much, and the Big Evil Scheme which was unfolding throughout the length of the book's short run just sort of came to nothing...basically the cabal of occultists do kill off a couple team members (Golem...

Re: Jab’s Builds! (Fire Emblem Builds Complete! The Princess Bride!)
The documentary on Andre has some interviews with his Princess Bride co-stars. Apparently this man who was so strong in his prime that he could genuinely terrify pretty much any wrestler was in such a bad physical state and in so much pain when he filmed the movie that he couldn't even lift Robin W...

Re: Jab's Rifts Builds (Demon-Eater Cyborg! Geo-Borgs!)
Your last few posts are what gets tedious with RIFTS...variants and variants of the same O.C.C.s and armor/weapons/vehicles, instead of focusing on the sheer, wonderful insanity of the setting. That and the power-geeking, coupled with Siembieda's insistence on doing everything the way he's always do...

Re: The Phoenixverse (A 2e OC 'verse; Newest: The Champions! Starman! Starwoman!)
The Star-Family saga is really a great bit of storytelling. You managed to invoke several classic moments from the history of American comics while presenting them in a novel, consistent context. There are elements of the Silver, Bronze, and Modern Ages, with great triumphs and sacrifices accompanie...

Re: The Archetype Blendarama (Flying Demon Swordmaster! Cute Witch! Cyborg Soldier! Panda Totem! Necromancer!)
Hey. Love the Cute Witch. I’ve always been a fan of Zatanna and Sabrina, and it kind of saddens me modern day writers try to go “dark” with them, rather than fun and whimsical.

I think you need more photos of Elsa, Jab. There aren't enough photos of Elsa. Do you think you could use some more Elsa photos, Jab?

Jeremiah Sadler and The Sword of Jardine: Review (Full disclosure, I am a friend and former co-worker of the author, D.T. Re: The World In The Aftermath (Formerly A World Less Magical)
Davies, a quick question: did you always plan for the various parallel worlds to be combined in a COIE style plot, or was this a later development on your part? And do any parallels yet exist?
Oh , sorry that's two questions. My apologies.
All my best.
