The First King

This is a completely off-topic shout out guys, but the movie "The First King" should be out in various parts of the English-speaking world. Now it might not be your cup of tea, but I'm promoting it because my sister worked on it as make-up artist. I went to see it last month and it was pretty impres...

Re: Alita - Battle Angel

Anyone check out this film yet? It's gotten very good word of mouth from some of the Youtubers I watch, and as a fan of the original manga I'd be happy if we finally got a decent live-action film adaptation of a manga/anime. I went to watch it last night and, as a fan of the comic, I think it's rea...

Re: Gamebook's builds (hs5ias new thread)

Autobot Constructicons is a great idea. Kind of funny that they're so superior to the dumb Decepticon models, and that Devastator himself is rendered rather pathetic, given how dominant he used to be in the cartoon. Though Devastator could be shaken apart pretty easily. Going by the G1 cartoon cont...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Sabrewulf! Riptor! Kim Wu! Spinal! Kan-Ra! Cinder!)

Also Glacius had the longest ultra combo in the entire first game, totally a massive 106 hits... I know because I was on the receiving end way too often in middle school.

Re: Jab’s Builds (Rash! Jago! Sabrewulf! Riptor! Kim Wu! Spinal!)

A skeleton actor would be an amazing character concept. Grumbles about getting typecast in horror movies, what he really wants to do is direct... Yeah, make no bones about it, his acting career would be pretty slim pickings, especially if he wants to branch out into more humerus roles. It would be ...

Not bad, there's only one error (very common in fantasy maps) which is that rivers very rarely, if ever, split going downstream.
easily fixed, never knew that
Personally I learned it after submiting some old work to a forum called "Carthographer Guild".

Re: Jab’s Builds (Static! Kid Devil! Kid Eternity! Danny the Street! Damian Wayne!)

The Adrian Chase Vigilante series wasn't a great series by any stretch, but I'll give it credit for having a definite end goal in sight after a certain point, and decided to showcase the psychological downward spiral of a man who became a crimefighter with the best of intentions, but slowly fell do...

Re: Jab’s Builds (Static! Kid Devil! Kid Eternity! Danny the Street! Damian Wayne!)

One of the most forgotten abilities of Vic was that he could eject all his limbs and replace them with spares (which he kept all around Titans Tower). Also most rocket lauchers include a safety feature that prevents the warhead from arming before the rocket has flown at least some distance, so Vic b...

Re: Aquaman!!

I thought it was a lot of fun. Not as good as Wonder Woman, but way better than Batman V. Superman, and a step up from Justice League. There were some parts that dragged a little bit, and some of the props needed some work (some of the Atlantean gear and Black Manta's armor looked a bit too 'plasti...

Re: Bladewind's M&M 3ed Builds

I was kind of disappointed that they used Fortress Maximus instaed of Metroplex, especially considering that they included Windblade among the Autobots.

I don't think Danny the Street was created during a LSD trip, I think Morrison was actually sane when he did it, like so sane he was mental kind of sane.

Re: Your Favorite Crossovers - Tabletop RPG edition

Mekton Z was meant as a stand-alone game, but it included rules to use it inconjuction with Cyberpunk 2020 . Also Jovian Chronicles started as a Mekton Z setting. Much belated addendum to this: One of the Mekton settings, Starblade Batallion , was explicitly written as the far future of Cyberpunk 2...

Nice character. I'm trying to figure her out in other systems and there is the usual problem with "lightweight" monks.
