Re: Solo: A Star Wars movie

Sounds like Batgirl & Ares are having two separate conversations, and that BG has interpreted Ares's post to be "the movies are better because the books were good", which he didn't say. His main point was to counter the statement that "expanding Darth Vader's story hurt the character", which he dis...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Rodan! Gargantuas! Mothra! Minilla! Anguirus!)

They released some semi-recent novels that had Kong go up against Pulp heroes Tarzan and Doc Savage separately. Good stuff.

Wasn't that the movie where Godzilla actually used his Atomic Breath to fly?

Re: Your Favorite Crossovers - Video Game edition

Just a follow-up to the first post in this thread -- the two most recent Super Robot Wars games include an English translation, although for legal reasons neither is officially available in North America. (The translation is apparently targeted at English speakers in Singapore.) "Let's Plays" of bo...

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

But that's just it. They did change Light's personality. Someone wanted to explain why Doctor Light went from being one of the League's most feared opponents (as described in JLA #149 [12/77]) to the Teen Titans whipping boy (see Teen Titans #46 [11/76]). The fact that the former was published afte...

Also, John Munch is apparently some kind of dimension hopping Time Lord.

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

Regarding that "Super Amnesia" bit, I have to say I never understood the moral quandary they tried to bring up with Identity Crisis. Sure, them screwing with Dr. Light's personality was wrong, but they tried to make it seem questionable that the heroes were having Zatanna erase their secret identiti...

Re: Your Favorite Crossovers - Video Game edition

Yeah, my brother introduced me to My Hero Academia, and I've basically fallen in love with the series. It's sad that it feels more like an old school comic book than most modern day comic books. In a lot of ways, I view it as a superior take on Young Justice, since while the kids are able to do hero...

my thoughts exactly. DBZ: A is my head canon more or less now. :D
Ditto. I mean, if I was going to use them in an actual setting I'd dial it down a little, but not much. Though from what I've seen of Super, it's kind of interesting that Vegita is really more of the hero now than Goku is.

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

I might interested depending on my schedule. The monster I call "Work" takes most of my time. No worries. I'm not certain we'd get the 4, 6 or 8 folks we'd need for it, but hey, it'd be nice to see if we can pull it off. Didn't you or someone else on Herochat do something a while back where you too...

Re: Your Favorite Crossovers - Video Game edition

There is actually a game where My Hero Academia crosses over with Dragon Ball, YuYu Hakusho, Naruto, One Piece and several others. It's a little mobile game called Jumputi Heroes, but still, looks like fun.

Re: Your Favorite Crossovers - Video Game edition

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was also given a release date and is said to contain every playable character that's ever been in Smash Bros. game is available as a playable character in this game. That's a roster of 60+ charactgers. NICE. And I won't be surprised when they throw in still more.
