Re: Jab's Builds! (Disney Fairies! Iridessa! Silvermist! Vidia!)

Man, no comments from Ares about how awful mean, bossy, cynical girls are :)? Or have you finally copped to their glory? That must be it! I was just going to leave it alone and leave you to your masochistic fantasies, but hey, if you really want I can happily go on a me-esque rant. But the kind of ...

Re: Pulse Pounding Adventures - Pulp and Film Serial Discussion

Yeah, InHumanoids was basically the closest we've ever gotten to "Cthulhu the Action Series". It was a lot of fun.

I also need to find a video online of " A Shoggoth on the Roof".

Pulse Pounding Adventures - Pulp and Film Serial Discussion

So as to stop derailing the Bad Movie thread, I figured I'd put this here where at least me and HalloweenJack can geek out about this sort of thing. Anyone else is free to chime in, tho. In any case, I'm a big fan of the older pulp stories and the film serials of the 30s, 40s and early 50s. They're ...

well, he was one guy who did it.
Well sure, but I figure being trained by Doc Savage would knock out something like 60-70% of the necessary teaching requirements. If Bruce can get both Doc Savage AND The Shadow as teachers, that's more like 90% once you discount the overlap.

Also, Doc Savage trained Batman.

Re: Favorite Bad Movie and why

"ah....that one had potential" I actually had sort of an idea for post WWII Defenders of the Earth campaign to sort of set up a JLU like roster of pulp era heroes which I know is on Ares' Christmas list. And the idea of the Rocketeer complaining to his girlfriend about the Rocket Man serials having...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Brer Rabbit! Ichabod Crane! Mr. Toad! Cinderella!)

There was a pretty fun Peter Pan series that appeared on Fox (I believe it was called Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates ) that was suppose to be very faithful to the original works. Peter Pan is interesting in that he's definitely not your average good-natured, heroic Disney hero who at most will have...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Brer Rabbit! Ichabod Crane! Mr. Toad! Cinderella!)

Of the three, Brom is probably the most decent, just being lead around by his hormones. Y'know, I'm not sure I'd consider chasing someone into a potentially fatal horseback riding accident, or throwing a flaming jack-o-lantern filled with kerosene (or whale oil or whatever) at someone's face as "de...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Brer Rabbit! Ichabod Crane! Mr. Toad! Cinderella!)

Yeah, the characters in Sleepy Hollow really were really more "selfish" than "bad". In a way, the whole thing reminds me of a highschool drama. Ichabod is a kind of creepy, self-serving nerd who knows a few tricks to be impressive, Brom is a generally good-natured but somewhat jealous and possessive...

Re: Batman Vs. Night-Man vs.Moon Knight

Assuming everyone's in character and the fight is in a relatively neutral cityscape . . . going with Batman. I'd say Bruce is a better fighter than either and generally has better gear than both. I'd go so far as to say Night-Man probably gets taken out fairly early in the battle and Bruce and Marc ...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Evil Queen! Pinocchio! Chernabog! Bambi!)

I've got to admit, I was always someone who found the "Baby Mine" scene from Dumbo WAY more heartbreaking and traumatizing than the scene where Bambi loses his mom. Logically, a mother dying should be worse, but that damn song just gets me every time. Dumbo and his mom just want to be together and t...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Shadow Knight! Disney Builds! Snow White!)

In a Kingdom Hearts -style shared Disney-verse, I'd probably have The Evil Queen and Malificent as the "top dogs" of the Legion of Doom-style villain alliance. Both of them have similar motivations (taking minor slights and blowing them incredibly out of proportion, being obsessed with revenge), but...
