Re: Avengers End Game

“I honestly don’t remember how Thanos got rid of her.”

He pulled the power stone out of the gauntlet and punched her with it backing him up.

Powers chapter is up. They are intensely Kenson’y. There’s a single damage power called Quantum Attack that you trick out with Power Tags.

I guess that is where my fundamental problem with a lot of the White Wolf reboots comes from.

Re: Trinity Continuum: Aberrant

A little less of a quick response- what are the things that make Aberrant, Aberrant to you? They are changing the system for that the entire setting. I really haven't seen it, it might be better, but it is still different. And yes, they did a d20 version back during the 3.5 craze. It sounds like th...

Re: Trinity Continuum: Aberrant

Looks promising. I remember when Aberrant first came out, it had some promise but was kind of pissed away IMO. I'll have to see if I can find this. Find? The picture’s a link to the campaign. Interesting. Aberrant was the first Supers RPG that I was exposed to that tried to be more of a "Valia...

Re: What's new with the big two: Marvel and DC Comics discussion thread.

I paid for Phoenix Resurrection: The Return Of jean Grey though the online comic book store I get my books through now. Well every week of release of that series, CBR.com shamelessly spoiled literally every issue the day each came out. And it genuinely made me angry at them. Because they ruined my ...

Re: First Strike: A Hasbro Comic Book Event

Wait, what hero did they turn into a villain? I haven't read the book yet, but I looked up a synopsis and I don't see any heroes becoming villains. Joe "G.I. Joe" Colton himself was revealed just before First Strike started to be the Baron Ironblood. The very founder of G.I. Joe was revea...

Re: First Strike: A Hasbro Comic Book Event

I just finished this. Got the final issues of it and its tie-ins just today in the mail. My general view of it is this: It's too 'edgy', too bleak, too adult for what is supposed to be a set of kids properties. It forced classic characters to act out of character. And that's a disappointment to me....

Re: Dresden File discussion

I mean, imagine Michael looking at Nicodemus, and whereas Harry often sees one of the scariest men on the planet, Michael sees a soul in need of saving, someone he'd forgive if the apology was genuine, etc. It'd probably be humbling, reading about someone who doesn't dehumanize anyone, even his ene...

Re: Thoughts on Cortex Prime?

I've played the Firefly RPG at a Con and was impressed enough to pick it up myself and run a game in it. the Firefly RPG is not the best training tool for the rules so I backed this hoping it would explain it better and because it's an interesting system. The crux of the rules are about die pool bu...
