Re: Night Girl

NIGHT GIRL (Lydda Jath) -Night Girl's a funny one- she starts out in the '60s being rejected because her Superman-Class super-strength is ONLY AVAILABLE TO HER AT NIGHT. I know I'm a little late here but how does that work for a team that spends so much time in space? If you're not in a solar syste...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Karate Kid! Projectra! Legion of Substitute Heroes!)

All I remember from half-watching that movie was the weird realization that three iconic '80s movies (Police Academy, BTILC, Porky's) featured the same actress; one who didn't even become a name until she became Samantha Jones :). Maybe for a youngun' like you. For those of us who were thirteen whe...

Re: [M&M3e] Shrink-Ray, Affliction or Attack Extra?

I think it depends on the application. If the goal of shrinking people is supposed to make them more useful in a given situation, then the version using Shrinking is more correct. If the goal of shrinking people is to make them easier to manage, capture, etc. then the Affliction is better. It does o...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Timber Wolf! Cosmic Boy! Kid Quantum! Karate Kid!

On the topic of kids with with powers that don't have a lot of battlefield use, but have use elsewhere..Anybody remember Sky High ? I do remember that the sidekicks with supposedly "useless" powers (like turning into a gerbil) being made useful towards the end. Didn't the Commander have an ego the ...

It's funny how near-universal the dislike of ugly old women is. Something about it really creeps out humanity on a base level.
Which explains so much of 2016.

Re: Jab's Builds! (Timber Wolf! Cosmic Boy! Kid Quantum! Karate Kid!

The Subs were heroic as hell. They had courage beyond belief, it’s one thing to face down a runaway robot when you know you’ve got Kryptonian Invulnerability or Phantom Phasing... But throwing down with an army of Daxamites when you’ve got color-changing ability? "Gee. There's a sun that's yellow. ...

Heck, J'Onn J'Onzz the Martian Manhunter, himself, attended the wedding of Bouncing Boy and Duo Damsel https://orig00.deviantart.net/f9df/f/2013/150/6/6/wedding_of_duo_damsel__amp__bouncing_boy_retouch_1_by_captain86-d677los.jpg Did the actually say it was J'onn? it basically meant his copy power required him to be either in constant contact with the person whose power he wanted to copy, or something they'd actually been in contact with for several hours, and he'd eventually drain the energies from said object. Re: Jab's Builds! (Timber Wolf! Cosmic Boy! Kid Quantum! Karate Kid!

[*]DC was keeping the entire New-52 initiative under wraps and decided not to divulge anything even to companies handling their licenses; Jeez, that sounds like a mess. Still, I'm glad we got the Pre-Flashpoint versions of the character rather than Nu-52 versions immediately following Flashpoint. T...
