Re: M&M 3e and Luck powers!

I would think that the first order of business would be to find out from the player how he or she envisions the bad luck manifesting. Gorakar's suggestion seems valid, though I might add variable descriptor also. It's still bad luck, but the precise manifestation (e.g. a tangled cape, a loose floor ...

Now we know the real reason Brainiac 5 kept that force field belt handy.

And a video about Wildfire... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc3OnSQc48s

Re: Jab's Builds! (Kinetix! Supergirl! Element Lad! Trainees! Wildfire!)

If Wildfire's containment suits have arms and legs that can be moved by Drake as if they really are arms and legs, why couldn't someone (Braniac 5) build in the necessary attachments so that Wildfire could still "grow huge" while with Dawnstar?

Re: Jab's Builds! (Brainiac 5! White Witch! Kinetix! Supergirl! Element Lad!)

The same happened with the most recent FF movie, the fans saw the directional the movie was going in, quite rightly had issues with changing everything that made the characters successful in the first place and outright told the makers of the film how terrible their ideas were and yet despite the f...

Re: Jab's Builds! (Brainiac 5! White Witch! Kinetix! Supergirl! Element Lad!)

I'd rather have characters like Jo h n Stewart. Jon Stewart's just a supposed comedian who's a part of the problem. ;) Damn you, Typo-Man! I will have my revenge one day! Now, now...let us not be sexist...just as likely was Typo- woman ! I think she meant me. And I have all the dangly bits a...

He could lift tremendous weights, run faster than a maglev train, leap 20% of a kilometer, and nothing less than a bursting shell could penetrate his skin.

Kent was explicitly meant to have the powers of the Golden Age Superman, pre-Fleischer cartoons.
That's what I said. :)

Re: Reworking M&M 3e skills system

Well, I'm going to present a dissenting view. I hold the uncommon opinion that the Presece attribute vs the cost of Deception, Intimidation, and Persuasion is actually a good thing. First of all, no Persuasion isn't 90% of Presence. It is very easy to fall into the trap of using just a Deception rol...

Re: Kent Shakespeare

IMPULSE I (Richard Kent Shakespeare) Powers: Flight 7 (250 mph) [14] Since he's a classic good-old-boy character and a Flying Brick, I'm going to assume he's a favourite of Ares :). Kent Shakespeare could not fly without a Flight Ring. He could run very fast, and I suspect he was a great leaper (I ...

Fighting is only linked to one Skill, but, c'mon, its Fighting. It matters.
It's also linked to Parry. In fact one rank of Fighting is exactly the same in cost and function as one rank of Close Attack and one rank of Parry.
